We had another great take away last night. They are always very helpful and delicious food! I don't think these other reviews can be from the same place?

The food I ordered was inedible. The chicken and beef dishes were like fried batter with no meat. I think they may have been from a few days ago and re-fried. The chow main was pure grease and I wouldn't have fed any of this to my dog. Also over priced! Worse takeaway since I can remember

The listing for this take away has the wrong webpage and menu (they're for a place in Chichester) and some of the reviews below seem to be for a different place (this is a take away in Milford, not a sit down restaurant). I found service polite and quick, the food had a good mix of fresh ingredients and was good value, decent portions. The taste was quite average but not bad.

Purchased two main meals along with Singapore Chow Mein, Fried Rice and chips. We only live few minutes drive away but chips were already cold and greasy. Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was overcooked and basically not edible, chicked curry was very poor with a watery sauce. Singapore Chow very nice though. WE CERTAINLY WON'T EVER GO BACK THERE FOR ANOTHER AWFUL MEAL..... GROSS!

This is a really good old fashioned Chinese takeaway. All classic dishes. We have ordered food many times for ourselves and have always found it hot, delicious, reasonable sized portions, sensible price. We’ve ordered when friends and family are with us and they have shared our views. Staff friendly and welcoming. Seems well run, organised and clean. Telephone orders taken and time estimates always accurate. They are happy to make items not on the menu (we always have mushroom foo yung an off menu item). We cannot understand the poor review.

We came here for the first time after recently moving to the area and ordered/collected in the shop. Despite the expected Friday night wait I couldn't fault this place! The salt and pepper chicken was delicious and the duck for the pancakes moist. Everything was done very nicely and was incredibly hot, and we enjoyed every part of the meal. I don't have Chinese takeaway often as I tend not to feel great afterwards, but after eating here there was none of my usual discomfort, so was delighted to be able to enjoy this meal without regret!

Ordered a takeway for myself and friends and we all agreed that the food was not only cold, but very poor quality, badly made and tasteless. I have never left or seen others leave a table full of food, especially Chinese, and choose to eat something else, especially given the cost. I have been to this takeaway before and had acceptable food but this was so bad that I had to write my first ever review online.

Never experienced a savagely below par meal. If you’re expecting the food to be that of Michelin stars, you’re wasting your time. But for a local take out, this place is definitely worth a shot.

I thought that Chinese takeaways like this had ceased to exist about 20 years ago. Following the closure of the Forum Court (impersonal service but always good food) I went back to the Lotus House for the first time in over 10 years, but wish I hadn't. The food was uniformly awful, tasteless and, as Chinese restaurants used to do, with the minimal amount of gristly meat in both the beef and chicken dishes. I had one piece of chicken that passed muster, but the rest were chewy, hard and tasteless. The beef was just as bad. The spring rolls tasted mass produced. At least the rice was OK! Saturday was a bad night to choose, but even the promised "40 minute" wait turned out to mean over an hour, which is not acceptable. We won't be returning

We ordered 3 prawn dishes and they were really bland, not spicy and not at all like I have tasted at many many different chinese takeaways. I am not sure if the clientelle may be different but as I never add salt to my food usually I found this strange. After adding salt it was okay though. Not in a mad rush to go back but I probably will buy from them again at some point, possibly choosing a different dish. I would say the dishes tasted very similar to the ones you buy at the supermarket in the fast food aisle.

The lotus house has ben the same for years. Reasonable prices, good sized portions and quick service. Its not exactly the best in the world but there are many worse!

We have ordered from the Lotus House several times, and never had a bad meal. The beef curry is lovely.

I can (cant) fault the place. I can fault them for not sering customers in the shop before those on the phone, i had 3 callers cut me off whilst standing in 1st place in the shop once. Next visit if there's a que i'll call them while in their shop and place my order as a big FU to everyone ahead of me in the shop! Food wise / love it, number 53 chicken with chilli's, egg fried rice and some dry ribs :P They don't take card unfortunately which sucks. - even our absurd amount of barber shops (?drug fronts) have started taking credit cards

Been using them for years. They changed hands a while back and for a while the quality dropped a little but has recovered. I am a regular and the food is very good. They do some gluten free options for my wife which is great. Love the capitol ribs. The previous cook did beatiful rice and now it is not quite the same - a bit dry - but otherwise we are very happy with them and they are always friendly and helpful.

I went with my sister 2 hours ago to get a takeaway, just interested in chinese for my family. The staff were quite nice except a lady with glasses giving my little sister rude looks. The food was around 10/15 mins. We ordered the chicken chow main, sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice. When we finally ate the chicken chow main it was the nicest thing out of the three but was quite dry. The fried rice was not nice at all along with the sweet and sour chicken. If tasted like something was off and left a weird after taste in our mouths, I am not coming here again! Due to the amount I spent and how much I love chinese food is the reason why i’m reviewing, for others coming to uni and trying new places in Farnham just look out.
