Have been going here for 30 years plus! The quality has remained the same throughout. Always tasty and hot!

You just have to try the kung po prawn or duck in sweet chilli sauce, the chicken curry melts in your mouth

Always first class food, friendly service and fair pricing. Thoroughly recommend this establishment. Closed on Tuesdays but worth going that extra mile for what I believe to be the best in Lancing.

So good to find a quality local takeaway. We will be back.

I'm 48 and I've been eating Chinese food from here since I can remember. Great food at a reasonable price.

Big shame as we had a good meal on fathers day, but today the rice was stodgy & I couldn't eat it, also the beef was chewy. Very disappointing, so won't be using them anywhen soon.

What has happened to this place? Used to be my fav Chinese if passing through Lancing! Paid over £40 for 2 adults 2 kids! The portion sizes were so small the food barely covered our plates! We were left still hungry! Chow mein was soo oily! And what happened to the chicken balls?? Small with no meat! I know things are tight for everyone but skimping on portion sizes!! Good job the crackers were free as needed them to bulk up the dinner!! Sadly won’t be back.

Used to use this place a lot in the 1980s, staff were always friendly, food was always good. Will have to go back soon.

Going by previous reviews I must have caught this place on a bad day. I had a chicken curry and chips and the only thing in its favour was that it was hot. If I was blind folded and ask to taste that meal, I would never have guessed it to be curry. It was devoid of taste, very watery and sparse in chicken which came in half inch diced cubes, with only bits of onion added. Very disappointed and will not use again but will repeat, I may have caught them on a bad day

Food was very tasty and service was excellent

The best takeaway I've had in a long time. Dont go anywhere else in Sompting. Credit where it's due. The food was delicious and I could not fault it. The lady taking the order was so pleasant and the chef knows how to produce great food. Many thanks to both of you.

I have been using Lotus House for as long as I remember, a good 25 years if not longer. The food is always on point and I can never fault it. I live in worthing and travel back to Sompting for my Chinese take away! Best chinese ever.

Speedy ,friendly service and awesome food

Lemon chicken not as good as it used to be. Chicken pieces were dry and over crispy not enough sauce. However their chips remain good, dry and not oily.

Terrible weather so thought treating myself to a lovely Chinese and what an amazing meal. We had chicken balls, crispy beef, spring rolls, special rice and have to mention their crispy duck were delicious. Will definitely returning for more delicious food and highly recommended. Keep it up Lotus House 👍🏻

We don't have lots of takeaways but just occasionally - when we want a Chinese - we order from the Lotus House. Last night's food was delicious. On time, very hot and very tasty. We had Beef and Mushrooms, Pork and green peppers, Pancake roll, Egg fried rice and sweet and sour Chicken Balls (we don't eat the sweet and sour but the Chicken Balls are great). We recommend this takeaway restaurant - never lets us down.

New to the area, read the reviews and ordered food, got home and disappointed is an understatement. Toast soggy as was the ‘Crispy beef’, chicken chow main was dry. Spoke to the take away to be told I must be wrong then hung up on. So I drove back our uneaten food to again be told I was wrong and it’s okay, I asked for a refund but was happy to pay for the food I did eat, to which they offered me a credit note. A waste really as I wouldn’t waste my time. Have never been told that my taste is incorrect!

Very pleasant staff. Food well packaged, fresh and very tasty. Even the prawn crackers were great. Easy parking. Will now always use this take away. Possibly one of best take always ever used.

After 5 weeks in lockdown treated ourselves to a take away and boy was it good.!!This has to be the best Chinese in Worthing/ Shoreham and although we have been coming here for years tonight's meal went down a treat,just what we needed in these desperate times.Thanks to lovely staff xxx

had to put 1 star because it would not let me put zero stars but my food was disgusting everything was over cooked the salt and pepper chicken was 10%chicken and 90% batter. Its a shame because 10 years ago it was amazing but now I will never order from them again

We will never buy from here again food was cold and only live 2 minutes away chicken was well over cooked. All my family left food on there plates. The extra food food left over will go in the bin total waste of money

Probably the best Chinese take away in Lancing and Sompting.

First time I have ordered a take away from here and I must say I was impressed Easy to order and on time. The food was excellent especially the Chinese style sweet and sour chicken and I have never seen such large prawns in a chow main. Will certainly be returning for another super meal.

Ordered here by phone on recommendation of a neighbour. It was amazing !! Great choice on menu and well priced. Had a huge bag of prawn crackers for free ...yummy. You have to collect yourself , but when ordered , told how long it would be and it was !! Beautifully cooked and great portion sizes.

Best Chinese in Lancing. Good food good prices

We had to pick our daughter up from Heathrow and decided on an impromptu dinner and we decided Elaine at the "Lotus House" was our best bet. We had a fantastic dinner we phoned ahead and booked it and collected it on-route. We decided on Aromatic Crispy duck, sweet & sour Prawn balls, Grilled Prawns in Garlic sauce, Deep fried shredded beef in hot sauce, Beef with green peppers in black bean sauce Rice and Singapore rice noodles and the whole meal was absolutely gorgeous. We would thoroughly recommend Lotus House, very friendly and helpful staff a pleasure to live close to this establishment. Thank you guys.

Been going here for years, good food and friendly service

Had great food all hot and delicious. Chicken satay on skewers sweet and sour chicken peking style prawn curry with rice and a delicious chicken chow mein. Did not have to wait too long.it you have not tried it you must.

Their food containers break the rules of science. They fit so much into a little space and the taste is on the same level. It is very hard to find a takeaway that equally matches quantity with quality.

I don’t normally like Chinese take away I go for Indian but my wife likes Chinese ,so we have just moved and I said let’s have Chinese ,I wasn’t expecting to enjoy my meal because I never do but I did ,the prawn balls were light and crunchy and the rest of the meal wasn’t over oily and very tasty

One star way to generous.beef chow mein was slimey and meet was grissle and fat. Special fried rice was lumpy and bones found in it. Only one prawn so must be a prawn shortage. Second meal had there.the first wasn't too special so I thought id give them another try seeing that they care local. No excuse as I went early in evening so food shoud have been fresh. It took long enough to come out. Very bad quality food and no care and attention to what was cooked. Last time I go there

Having been told that this was a very good takeaway, decided to give it a try. Food not cooked well , nothing like the quality you normally get from a Chinese . Won't use again.

Absolutely the best chinese food in Lancing. I have tried several others locally but Lotus house is the best. The only issue is... They don't do delivery so collection only. Great food and not expensive.

As takeaway Chinese food goes, this is the best in the area. Well established, with a good reputation. I have been using this place for years and would recommend.

So fortunate i do not live far from this chinese it is the best Chilli Beef. Garlic Chicken, Chicken Satay Kung Po never had a disappointing meal from here. Little bit more expensive but worth it

1 star given and is very generous due to my partners dishes being better than mine... Very disappointed! Chicken chow mein had bones in the dish and it was very burnt and dry - I couldn't eat it all and was left feeling sick due to the amount of bones and fat that was in the dish... disgusting for me and I won't be ordering from here again!

Tuve que tenía un pollo limón pasada masa de empanada de pollo dura recocido seco y sin salsa , arroz era un nudo stoggie grande. Mi hijos era un poco mejor casa fideos especiales pero bastante insípido y ambos tuvimos rollos como huellas de pancake. Me habría llevado fue tan malo, pero Llevábamos hogar de Shoreham y estaban demasiado cansados después de un largo día de salida. Ir a la cama con hambre no cometas el mismo error!

This is in my opinion the best Chinese take away - Full Stop!I'm going to sound like I have some kind of vested interest in them now, but I don't..... I have used the Lotus House for 22 years and never had a bad meal. I have eaten at lots of other Chinese eateries with friends or when away etc. But if I'm ordering and I'm in Sussex then Lotus House in my first choice. Apart from Tuesdays, as they have always been closed on a Tuesday!Genuinely I can say I will travel 10 miles for take away from the Lotus House.There are a couple of issues though - Firstly, they close for an incredibly long time (weeks and weeks) for Chinese New Year, and I always feel incredibly sorry for the fish, swimming around in the very uninspiring fish tank - If you have been there you will know exactly what I mean!I can sum up how much I like Lotus House by mentioning that I move to South Australia on the 30th March 2015 and I can assure you that the last evening meal that I eat, here in the Uk on the 29th, will be a take away from Lotus House!

Quite often I find Chinese take away to greasy NOT here. Food is cooked perfectly, waiting times are always accurate and they are so friendly. Slightly more expensive than others but you get what what you pay for

This Chinese takeaway is one of the best Chinese's you could ever go to in Lancing, my parents live in Findon and they come over to lancing to the Lotus House, my uncle lives in Storrington and again he comes all the way to this Chinese. If ever we have a family get together, weather it be Findon or Storrington we are always asked if we can pick up a Chinese meal from the Lotus House and take it with us. You can not fault this food at all its beautiful.

My review published in March was for the Lotus House in Seaford which is an excellent take away. I've never tried this one !!!

I have been using this Chinese restaurant for a very long time and I recommend it highly as the food has always been excellent even the curry is very good. Last night we had House Special RIce Noodles and Mixed Vegetables brilliant. The set menus are such good value for money.

I opted for the beef and green peppers in a black been sauce which was the most succulent beef ever! my partner opted for the roast pork chow mein. We had a variety of lovely side dishes. Best restaurant in Lancing IMHO and the waitress was lovely and friendly too.

Only used this restaurant for take away as we live nearby. Food always delicious and very good service.

Freshly cooked and free delivery a firm favourite for a night in when we fancy a chinese. Reasonably priced too. Thoroughly recommend.
