I love real Mexican food. Growing up in Southern California meant we would go across the border regularly for surfing, food and fun. My wife and I took a punt at Los Tacos . Luckily we did as this is a hidden treasure with authentic tasting Mexican food at a very reasonable price. My wife and I were warmly welcomed and the food was perfect. The chef clearly has high standards and it was lovely to see him come out of the kitchen to talk to us and to see what we thought of his food - what a lovely bloke. We had margaritas followed by a burrito, fish tacos and churros. Although the restaurant is small it is cosy and lovingly decorated. We genuinely think we were lucky to find this place. We will be back as often as we can😁

When I phoned no one answered and when went past no one was there (no lights on) it says it is open at 4 but it is not and it is 5 .

Most authentic Mexican food in Southampton!

We had called ahead to ensure the restaurant was open, prompt call pick up to assure it is open and booked us a table. We decided to takeaway in the end as it was a lovely day and we were blown away by the authentic flavours of pork burrito and chilli beef (not too spicy, fortunately) burrito bowl. The subtle marinade on the wings were perfect if you don't want overwhelmingly saucy fingers. The lotus Biscoff milkshake was also very tasty! Overall, well priced for the amount of food and the flavours, well worth over any other stock standard Mexican joint.

Food was well overpriced and looked and tasted cheap. Took over an hour to make the food and give to Uber eats driver. Just go to taco bell, cheaper and tastes better

What a wonderful, tucked away, place. The food was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was good and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely be going back soon. Close car park was a bonus too!

Ordered a beef burrito, fantastic, and veggie nachos was excellent , fast service great price , fresh ingredients, will be back for more.

Very authentic Mexican off the beaten track. We discovered Los Tacos on Facebook and wanted to try it. While we were the only ones in there we were warmly welcomed. The food is good value and tasty. Definitely worth a visit for somewhere different to try.

Went out of our way to come here. Arrived at about 2. Google had told is it was open. Paid for parking over the road. Doors locked 🔐🤷 Get that things happen, but a sign in the door may have helped. C'mon man.

If I could I would leave a 10* review. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. The most authentic Mexican food I have ever had in the UK. I lived in America for 10 years and ate Mexican food alot. I have really missed it and when ever I see somewhere making and selling Mexican food I have to go try and until today they have all been disappointing. Myself and my partner were very very happy to read the menu and order the food. Yes we ordered too much so we have a meal for tomorrow lol. The Taco's are to die for. Authentic taco bases and the filling were absolutely amazing. The burritos are enormous and I had the Mexican chopped salad which was gorgeous. My hat is off to the chef your food is amazing. The waitress was knowledgable and very very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Great please a must try. Yes it in the middle of a industrial park but who cares the food is great. Ate there on a wet and windy Wednesday evening a few weeks ago. The owner very kindly gave me tissues to dry off with and brought a heater over. Food was delicious, authentic, fresh and excellent value, and the service was exemplary. Will definitely go again now I know it is there!

Industrial estate food shouldn't be this good... But it is! The food came quickly, the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were all well seasoned. I even managed to convert my fussy-eater friend to try some Mexican food, and he loved it! Don't be fooled by the location, this place is a certified hidden gem 💎 definitely worth a visit to experience the food fresh as it should be and not soft and soggy after 20 minutes in an Uber eats bag! Definitely going again soon! 🇲🇽

The most authentic and personal experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The main man was the server and the chef and he made us feel so welcome, even remembering a previous visit. An amazing price for top quality food, I couldn’t recommend Lostacos more.

This is a hidden gem, walking distance from Southampton City Centre, just wish it was closer. The food is as authentic as it gets outside of Mexico, would highly recommend!

This is the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in England! A lovely find next to the away pub Browns. Prices were good, staff was friendly and the food was amazing. Very flavourful with a nice spice. I had the tacos and my friend had the enchiladas. I will go back to Southampton simply to eat here again!!!! Gracias!

Omg! What a absolute hidden gem! Both takeaway and in house, is perfect! Every single dish is so delicious and full of flavour but our favourite thing is how fresh everything is! Can't recommend enough! Every order we've had has been hot, correct and on time so we decided to go to their restaurant and wad even more Impressed, staff are lovely and the place is so cute and clean.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Me and my partner have ordered online and every time it has turned up, hot, delicious and the orders are always correct and never missing a thing! If anything there is was additional items in the way of free churros which are incredible and the sauce id drink a pint of! 😂 Tonight we went to dine in and it was on another level! Great staff, great food and we are now obsessed!

Overpriced for very small amount of food wouldn’t recommended

After so many amazing reviews we decided to try it, unfortunately not impressed, the veggie bowl was served in a plate which meant the flavours were not mixed, and the beef tacos had a strange flavour to them, quite unusual. Slightly disappointed but will come back and give it another try at some point.

Had enchiladas delivered, but they were a bit underwhelming - mushy and bland. Might just be they don’t travel well because of the sauce? The rice was really good though. Looks like a better place to eat in than take away.

Amazing place. Authentic home-made Mexican that is absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Southampton and one of the only places I regularly return to.

Visited on the 11th June on recomendation and we were not dissapointed. Excellent food and service, very authentic, with lots of choice and incredible value for money. Will definitely be back for more.

I'll admit that after I'd been waiting for an hour for my delivery and it still hadn't arrived, I thought this was going to be a one star review. As you see however it is far from that! The bowls were a little bland for me but my wife liked hers. The fish tacos though were absolutely amazing. Best fish tacos that I have ever had! If every other item on the menu came filled with grit and glass then I would still give them five stars, the fish tacos were just that good!

Our family had a fantastic experience dining at Los Tacos. We had authentic quesadillas, tacos, nachos, sweet potato fries and churros - all of which were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a fun warm vibe and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

A bright and colourful restaurant with warm decor and a lovely atmosphere. Food was authentic and packed with flavour! The tacos were a personal highlight, as were the fresh churros. Kind service with a smile, thank you so much!!!

Such a great experience, from beginning to end! We spontaneously dropped in to Lostacos whilst on the way to football one afternoon, and the friendly staff welcomed us in. It was refreshing to see Lostacos was an authentic family run restaurant, and they each poured their heart and soul into every component - from front of house to the service, and most definitely the cooking! We ordered the chicken tinga tacos, chicken and chorizo quesadilla and a side of mango habanero chicken wings. The food was so tasty! Authentic Mexican tastes and ingredients, and very fresh. We enjoyed watching the waiters take the other orders to customers, deciding that next time (because we will definitely be returning!) we should try the amazing burritos. After spotting some churros, we requested two portions with the dulce de leche sauce and also two mochas. Unfortunately the coffee machine had broken, and they were disappointed to say they couldn't fulfil our order. As we started tucking into our delicious dessert, two mochas arrived at our table. We learned that one of the owners went down the road to the burger van they also run to make us some. What fantastic service, to go above and beyond! And the icing on the cake for me, was when one of the staff members spotted I was scraping the last of the dulce de leche sauce out of the bowl, and asked if would like another pot completely unprompted. 5 stars for both the service and the food! (Which as a bonus was also very reasonably priced.) Lostacos, thank you for a wonderful, memorable experience. We can't wait to return!

The food was a little late but nothing out the ordinary. However the reason he was slightly late was due to the original driver who was meant to deliver our food had broken down, the actual chef had delivered instead! It would have been so much easier for him to have cancelled our order but he decided to hand deliver it himself. Moral to the story is that this company will get you your food at whatever cost. More to the point this was best mexican food i’ve had.

Visited lostacos last week for a collection to take away, excellent, fresh, authentic food! ***** Went back today to eat in their restaurant, very friendly & Gr8 staff, will definitely be making another visit soon ! Milkshakes are soooo good 🤤. When reading the previous review, I don't think the a.hole deserves to eat this lovely food! I'm definitely telling my friends & taking them down to enjoy this lovely restaurant !!!!

Such a friendly atmosphere. We've only just moved in the Northam neighborhood and it's our new favourite. We're going there every week !

Mixed bag. Had tacos delivered to Unity brewing, which is nice... But waited 45 minutes for the delivery even though it's a 4 minute walk away. The pork and chicken tacos we're good... but the fish taco appeared to be scampi in a tortilla.

Delivery literally fell out of the bag as it was handed to me falling onto my floor splashing all up the walls. Food looked like something out of a horror scene and was fit for only the dustbin. To be fair the delivery driver must have informed the store owner of the condition of the delivery and the store owner called me to offer to put it right. However, after 30 minutes scrubbing floors and walls I strangely wasn't hungry anymore. An absolute waste of time, money and effort.

Incredible food and wonderful people! They serve authentic Mexican food at such a reasonable price. Even better when you can visit unity tap room and get your food delivered to you there for free. I've eaten in, had take away and delivery, and every time the food is not only incredible to eat, it's presented beautifully and is fantastically priced. 5/5 highly reccomend

Such amazing food. The burrito was huge, the jalapeno poppers were so crispy and perfect and the pork tacos were drool worthy. I have it on good authority that it was the best burger ever too, and that's from someone who sees themselves as a true burger connoisseur!

The vegan options are great and the portions are big!! The sweet potato fries and nachos were amazing. The staff were also very friendly and generous.

Having traveled throughout Texas, New Mexico and California, this restaurant offer quality, well priced and authentic Mexican food. Tacos were superb. Service on point.

Perhaps one of, if not, the best mexican in Southampton. Fantastic and I am a regular customer.
