Food was lovely and came in a timely manor

While the food was good it took 90 minutes to arrive which for a pizza is rather disappointing.

Great lively atmosphere, music was great and fitted the vibe of the place. Drinks were quick and lovely, the pizzas were amazing! 100% recommended. Staff were professional and friendly and helped out with recommendations. Can’t fault the place!

Really disappointing since the new management. Went on a Friday a couple of weeks back when had just changed over. Ordered a drink at the bar, payment was taken, then the barman proceeded to eat a pizza at the bar with some mates. I was later asked if I was being served, to which I said "I think so"... turned out he had forgotten about my order. We ordered 2 pizzas, only one arrived, so we ended up eating separately. Pretty poor but put it down to teething problems. Went today on a Sunday. Asked if they were open (as the side door was locked), to which we got the response "yeah, but I'm not doing food". I asked if the side door is normally shut now, "it's normally open, but I can't be bothered today, I'm going to shut in a couple of hours" We sat down for a drink outside, several groups were in, but it felt pretty flat as there was no music on, which added to the unwelcoming atmosphere. On our way out (about 3 hours later) a group were served pizza! I have spent a lot of time here and used to really enjoy it but I won't be going again.

Have visited on many occasions as the pizza is so good! Good selection of cocktails and lagers too. The staff are very friendly and the manager has accommodated for us even when busy. There’s a nice garden in the back which friends and I have enjoyed, especially in the warmer weather.

We waited around an hour, in the end we had to have the pizzas as take out in boxes. 3 and a half pints of beers, 2 small pizzas, small garlic bread £58. No discount offered, they brought the wrong pizzas initially, then we waited a further 30 minutes and had to have them in boxes as we had to leave after waiting an hour. I appreciate things happen, new staff etc. but to be charged full price after waiting an hour, not good. We ended up having to eat our pizzas in the car on the way to our appointment. To not be offered drinks free, or something for the fact we had wrong stuff served at the table and waited an hour, and paid £58 for not much. Absolutely shocking.

Didn't have food tonight but was here a number of times previously. Proper authentic pizza, well worth it! Even without eating tonight, the manager tonight was as welcoming as ever, couldn't do enough for us even with a busy restaurant! Will be back when I can

Specifically booked a table outdoors hours in advance and paid for a taxi to get there in time for our booking only to be told there’s not a table for us outdoors and that they were prioritising people who book via telephone and email rather than online. Absolute waste of time and very unprofessional and not accommodating. Why even have an online booking option in the first place. Fuming.

Stopped for a drink on the way home and although the barman was serving other customers I was told last orders has gone. Unfair to serve one person and yet not the other, very disappointing

Well worth a visit and in an area that offers many artisan products. We had a wonderful afternoon and look forward to coming back

Lost Bar & Pizzeria is a great little quirky place with a great vibe. On this visited it included live music in the garden area which was a great touch and really added to the atmosphere. The pizzas were amazing and cooked to perfection in a wood fired oven. They are more of a traditional Italian pizza (i.e. not perfectly shaded and not huge). Although incredibly busy, the staff were very attentive and polite. Food was delivered in good time.

Booked a table, arrived and they couldn’t find the booking. 10 minute wait to order a drink. Ordered food, several items we ordered were not available, only told this 15/20? Mins after we ordered. Half our food order arrived after 40 minutes, the other half didn’t arrive until 1 hour 10 mins after ordering. We kept asking, but got nowhere. Shocking service and organisation

New to Preston and literally my favourite place….the vibe in this place is everything and is like a secret garden so find this gaff cause is amazing….service from Ella and Jada who continued to serve us even though closing down their bar wasn’t necessary but they still did!!!!!! Yep 10/10 customer service……see you Saturday 😂🥰

Lovely, quirky place. However the food was such a let down. £14 for my pizza. Sounded amazing- goats cheese, tomatoes, garlic , rocket and balsamic glaze. It was tiny. There was three tiny cut up pieces of goats cheese, a pile of rocket on top , and drenched in the glaze. All in the centre of the pizza. So you can imagine it was just all bread. Tried to drizzle some chilli oil to make it a-bit better, but made it worse as the pizza was already soaked in oil and burnt.

Held a quiz night here for around 35 people and had a great night. Staff were so friendly and helpful, Frank made everything super easy to organise and the food was fab! Loved the whole space, will definitely be back for future events. Thank you!

Came for dinner with a friend. Stunning restaurant with a lovely courtyard outside. The pizzas were delicious. And the dips were amazing… I’m still thinking about the honey and chilli. The staff are fantastic. I’ll definitely come back!

Booked a table outside, arrived and told we couldn’t sit outside due to a “private event”. Given a table inside only to watch the guests slowly leave after 20 mins. Staff never offered us a table outside following this but let three other groups go and sit outside. Place has gone terrible under new ownership. Pretty disappointing as it’s somewhere we’ve spent a lot of our time and recommended to countless others.

Wonderful arty, creative venue with a great seated court yard in a lovely restored historic building. Sells fab stonebaked pizza baked on site and lovely brownies. Nice bar and staff and holds events. Very central. A unique venue with a great relaxed vibe.

Turned away despite the place being empty and the A board at the bottom of the alley showing they were open til 8. Went elsewhere!

Fabulous cocktails and pizzas in a lovely setting.

Cocktails was great, pizzas were ok. Overall atmosphere was good but when me and my friends walked in we was approached by an older guy behind the bar looking very unprofessional in a hat and dirty tshirt. The young lady stood next to him was very pleasant and welcoming but he insisted on talking to us. As a group of women one of my friends turned round to him and asked him to stop talking to us to which he walked out the front door. I’m sure he works there unsure to what his position is though. Could possibly be the owner the way he was walking round and talking . Will go back but hopefully not greeted by the man.

We found Lost Bar thanks to a friend and one of their monthly talks. It is a lovely space, even on a wet March night when it felt cosy. The pizzas were crisp and tasty and the Romanian red was a good choice.

Pizzas were very good. Drinks were OK. Pleasant atmosphere in the Dickens Room. Service was good with pizzas delivered in good time. Forgot our table water which wasn't great. It's worth reading the pizza menu carefully as only three come with a tomato base with the others being cheese only. Pizza bases are excellent but quite hard to cut.

I had an undrinkable Mojito for nearly £10. I would recommend sticking with unmixed drinks from the bottle or from the tap because the staff appear to be untrained.

There were 20 of us in the conservatory area and we had the wine and charcuterie board deal. A great selection of wine was all set up ready for our arrival. The food was served as soon as we asked and they accommodated a gluten free vegetarian option. A complementary shot was given to the Bride to be and a glass of wine knocked off the table was quickly replaced free of charge. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate booking another event there and can’t thank the team enough for hosting such a brilliant night.

Nice place but absolutely woeful pizza. When we asked why ours had absolutely no tomato sauce, the waitress pointed out the four half sliced plum tomatoes in each corner of the pizza. It wasn’t even a good garlic bread. If you made this pizza in Naples you’d be deported. As for the size of it, £11 for a 9” pizza? Does not compare well to Rudy’s or Franco Manca.

I've been a couple of times now and the pizza is really good, authentic stone baked pizza, with a good amount of toppings and oils on the tables for you to add to your crusts. The pricing is good for a city centre pizzeria and drinks aren't expensive either. It's good to have a couple of vegan options too, although I wish the garlic bread was also available vegan without cheese. The only slight annoyance was yesterday evening we felt a bit rushed by one member of staff trying to take plates while we were still eating and cleaning the table after had just ordered more drinks. It felt like we were being pushed off the table which was why we didn't then stay for another drink again.

Six of us went for a girls meal out. The drinks were very good. The Pizzas were awful. They came out a few at a time, were burnt and very difficult to cut or slice into. We'd all not go back.

We heard good reviews and decided to try this place. It is tucked away but glad we came. Lovely place. Friendly and attentive staff and the food delicious.

An excellent cosy bar on Market Street West offering a well stocked bar area with craft beers, wines, spirits including signature cocktails, and hot drinks. There's an intimate function room/pizzeria to the left of the bar for those get togethers and celebrations. Through the bar is the solarium, a windowed seating area with ambient lighting looking out to the seated courtyard, great in Summer but equally as good in all weathers as it's partially covered. The pizzeria serves delicious hand crafted pizzas with various and unusual toppings. So if you just fancy a drink after work, a night out and/or a meal this is the place to go... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Would but minus one star if possible. After being stood at the bar for 15 mins and being fully ignored by the girl with the long brown hair, her lovely colleague skipped completely past us in the queue and proceeded to speak to those behind us and easily turned away £300 of business between the lot of us. Well done guys! Keep up the great work and you’ll follow all the other businesses that last no longer than 12 months.

Pizza was very very tough and absolutely tiny for the price, the size of a large hand. And paid an excess amount for what we got ? The garlic bread was so tough it had to be binned, I’d recommend making the sizes larger and the dough less tough

Busy place with indoor and outdoor seating including booths with heaters and roofs. Lively vibe and often a DJ outside. Relaxed atmosphere. Food seemed popular but we didn't eat. Rosé didn't have much flavour which was a downside but good place for a sunny afternoon in Preston.

We visited Lost as a family on Saturday night after our daughter had just finished a 4 night stint in the musical Matilda at Preston Playhouse. We wanted to have some celebration drinks so asked the bar staff if we could order two mocktails for our children (aged 11 & 8). The manager went out of her way to make us feel so welcome and all the staff were so friendly. The staff even gave our children some free chocolate brownie to say well done! Well worth a visit.

A great range of gins and soft drinks, and we both had a delicious pizza. Enjoyed trying somewhere new, and the service was really good too.

This place is a hidden gem. Great pizza in a lovely atmosphere. I suspect it will be jumping as the weather gets warmer and the courtyard is nicer to sit in but plenty of indoor space in the meantime. Check out the small brewery next door as well afterwards.

Me and a friend came here for Valentine’s Day and everything was perfect, the pizzas were really tasty, the biscoff cheese cake was unreal and their espresso martinis are one of the best I’ve had. The staff are always really friendly and attentive, I would definitely recommend

For the pizza rating this is 5* but as like a lot of other reviews the service really does need a tune up promptly. There is a disinterest/disconnect amongst the staff where the feeling is palpable when your in there for longer than 10 minutes. Communication seems to be an issue but the one factor that really bothered me was the barman who was very clearly hiccuping through his night and I distinctly saw him open a can of mixer for a drink he was making with his mouth…. I genuinely wish I would have pulled him at the time but my partner would have had me pulled for making the evening awkward… hope he sees this review… because there’s one thing we all know about after living through a pandemic and that’s hygiene matters….

the pizzas vary from 10.50-14.50 pounds however i have tasted 3 pizzas and my sister has tasted 1 other pizza in my opinion and my sisters the only good pizza is the salame but it get boring science thats the only thing i order i think if they had more options of pizzas i would rate it higher

This pains me to write because the pizza really is excellent but the overall experience was a poor one due to the service. Most of the issues were very minor and could be easily overlooked. No cutlery until after the food arrived; Drinks and food arriving one person at a time; Very minor, and actually the relaxed atmosphere would've been a positive. The problem was that they have a series of "241" cocktails which looked great. We ordered a couple but oddly they brought 2 of one of the cocktails. We said that we hadn't ordered 3 drinks and they took the extra one away. Later, when paying, we were initially given a bill without these cocktails listed at all, undercharging us. I said everything we'd had and paid without being offered the updated bill. Only after paying did I realise how much we'd been charged - £63 when we were expecting ~£44. It turned out that "241" means that you must get 2 of the same cocktail and we were being charged twice. Nobody told us this when we ordered them. The rest of the expanded cost was due to the server adding a service charge without asking if I wanted to pay that, or offering me the opportunity to accept/decline or add a tip myself. As I said, the pizza is excellent. They used wholewheat flour I think, which was a little bit of an odd choice but it wasn't unwelcome. However, after a nice meal we left feeling like an injustice was done and never wanting to go back again. Gutted :(

Never seen service like it, its like they didn't want us there. They were a bit rude at the bar but at first we just shrugged it off. Then they tried collecting plates whilst we were still eating literally piled a stack of plates up on top of food I was still trying to eat,didn't even apologise. It was wild we couldn't even work out how to react it wasn't even late about half 7 when we left.

Excellent quiet independent cafe/bar and shop. The quality of the coffee and food is very good. Coffee properly ground fresh with a barista that knows what they're doing The decor is really good with really good outdoor seating, very contemporary and quietly hidden away off Friargate The boutique shop is very interesting selling boutique crafts and goods Update: As of December 2022 "Once Was Lost" no longer exists replaced by a pizzeria. Shop seems to have gone too. Popped in today (17th) place was dead. I was looking forward to a Mexican wrap too and coffee and cake. But nothing. Sadly won't be going here again

Lovely place but advertised as weaver's cottage - as an historian i can tell you that it was not a weaver's cottage, as used in the Domestic System, but a worker's cottage - pedantic i know but it is a great place to visit.

Lovely bar tucked away on Market St West, we went to a private function and had a great night, it also has a wonderful outdoor area we will definitely return.

Fantastic place for parties and gatherings. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very attentive, prices are reasonable.. I would definitely recommend for small or large parties.. pizzas were amazing from a Stone baked pizza oven, all made with fresh ingredients.. lovely outdoor space, beautifully decorated..

Fantastic place, drink selection and customer service... I was catching a train and was searching for places that opened early for a quick drink... Popped in and found out was closed but young girl served me and my mum anyways 😊 and it has an amazing selection of craft beer and good decor and vibes and friendly people.. Will return with my friends as right up my street

First of. What a hidden gem. Should be kept a secret. Attached to The Plau via a route worthy of Indiania Jones you find yourself in an area that's like being away from everywhere. Chilled booth seating with heaters Live DJ and music later. Was chill out style while we were there. Food looked good . Beer in The Plau very good . Lots of selection. See Moorbrook Pub for great beers too. There a roof top restaurant too. Where they have found all this space is very much magic. Plus they have a well on the basement that once distilled Gin I would say go visit bit then its not so secret 😜

A lovely little place. Plus children eat free! We just had drinks and cakes but fully intend to go back again
