Grillaz in Preston

Peri peri chicken was absolutely delicious. MashaAllah upstairs salah facility and the customer service was very good. Burger, pizza and steak was also good.

Very disappointing experience. Incorrect food being delivered to our table. Had to wait 30 minutes+ for a mojito drink, by the time it arrived, I had finished my meal. Staff lack basic communication skills. I will not be visiting anytime soon. Better service at McDonalds.

First time visit, really enjoyed the Steak & Chicken Sizzler with half n half. Would visit again!

Great place to have halal food. If you can, try getting hold of the owner Mr. Salim. He's a true gem of a person and if you're lucky enough, he'd even cook your order himself to add that ever so special touch of brilliance!

Overtime price of food has increased understabley but quality of food has gone opposite direction. Nachos seemed overdated and burnt and pizza was decent but slightly overcooked too. Seemed like everything was being made on too high temperature. I've had lamb on the bone here close to covid time and was brilliant however this time round unfortunately was poor. The chicken donner sizzler was still nice but I'm sure previously it came with a better and tastier salad. This time was just very tiny onions. Used to be a place you can't go wrong with before however didn't feel like that this time round. I hope things improve.

As they say all good things come to an end. Sadly this is just one of those places where it has failed to the quality standards it once set for others. My visit here was disappointing as the food was below par I must say.

Got the Chicken Tikka Roti I think it was called. Chicken was one of the best I have tried. Succulent, flavourful, tasty. Brilliant. Will be definitely making sure I return. Full marks. Service was very nice, food was brilliant. Very happy.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing and the food is some of the best I've ever had! The staff are super friendly and helpful and I can guarantee you'll love eating there. With friends or as a family! Just a tip, if you want to order, because this awesome place does delivery, don't deliver through Just eat as most of the drivers steal the food and then the restaurant is the one losing the money due to refunds, not the drivers. So please either go there in person or order through Uber eats!

Great halal restaurant with great food, menu has a lot of variety. Kebabs were really good and so was the sizzling and pizzas.

Grillaz has a decent range of starters, burgers, and pizzas, along with some veggie options. The venue is clean and has ample seating. There is a takeaway service, too. The food I ordered was loaded nachos to share and Grillaz special pizza. The food arrived quickly and the staff were polite. It's definitely a decent place to eat if you find yourself on Friargate, Preston, and are feeling hungry. Pay it a visit.

Hi folks, I went to this place, the ambience was not so good not too bad. food was great, served hot, fresh and professionally. when it comes to service 5 start because the lady at the counter considering I am a full hijabi she offered me to cover the glasses and ask me for the separate partition arrangements. It was so nice of her. Over all many options was there for food, good place for brunch with friends.

I don't like giving negative reviews and try and find a positive word to say but unfortunately in this case I have to say that this could possibly be one of the worst dining experiences in regards to food quality I have ever had. Refried chips refried burger absolutely disgusting the curry was watery and there was minimum pieces of chicken the flat bread that came with the kebab was like cardboard. Is it no surprise that the place was dead when Jaffas across the road was packed on a Thursday. Won't be making this mistake again avoid at all costs. If I was the owner I would be very concerned reading this.

We ordered Jerk chicken...it's came with super yummy chicken,fries and a yummy salad. 10/10 would recommend

Hubby offered a sum for extra large chips between 3 of us & they gave us exceptionally large portion with great choice of sauces. 5* hygiene rating too

Chips were good but that’s about it for me, ordered a chicks hot burger and wasn’t hot at all, was just a mess in a basket. My mate ordered the Smokey bbq burger and the same story. Both chicken burgers were pink in the middle, had to throw half the burger.

Fabulous food, restaurant very clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Food was nice and hot apart from chili cheese nachos which was not good. The nachos were very dry and hard. They serve different dishes. Service was good. Parking is far.

Worst experience ever, been here yesterday, store was empty no customers in, we sat down and ordered but the customer service is awful, staff rude and loud, food was actually nice but was just a waste of money

Absolute fantastic place to eat, food is freshly prepared and piping hot. The guy with the beard and the woman provided a second to non service. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Staff were pleasant, place was spanking clean Do try this place!!!!!

Not a bad place for food. Seating available. I like the kebabs and chicken tikka and the pasta, rice and chicken dish (Sizzlers) . They also have a donor if you into that. Slightly different taste. It was nice. (am not in to dirty donors anymore,,,,,, lol). Good experience on a few occasions. Pricing could be better and naan could b bigger. Place closes early about 9.30 to 10pm and weekend 10.30pm for last orders I believe. Parking a nightmare at front and new road layout will probably have no cars allowed to park or even allowed into that area, but parking available at rear of building. Pay and display. 3,9 going up to 4 star. One to VISIT

The pizza order was fantastic, fresh tasty ingredients, good portion size and helpful staff.

Went here following a visit to the University which is a 5min walk away from here at the most. I had seen a few reviews online and it looked good. The food and service was really good and couldn't fault it. Really impressed with the presentation of the chicken tikka and kebab mix as you can see from the photos, the chicken tikka comes in 3 different flavours which was really unique. The meats were cooked to perfection. Only fault I would say is the menu is really confusing on some of the meal deals. The burger meals come with fries and a bottle of water but no option for a canned drink. If you want a canned drink it is £1 extra but if you buy a bottle of water it's £1 so in essence you are paying £2 for a can of drink. However, the menu says a can of drink is £1. I think they just need to simplify this and give the option of having a can or a bottle of water but that's up to the establishment on how they want to do things. Overall, I would recommend grillaz if you are ever in the area! I have also put a photo of the menu which is accurate as of the reviews date as they don't have a website but it was reasonably priced and I would visit again if I was in Preston.

Place has gone downhill. Always have missing items after collecting our order. Undercooked chips last time and this time I ordered chicken and naan today and the naan was below standard and seemed old. Really disappointed with the recent service.

Service was spot on especially from a worker called Romeo. He was welcoming and very polite. Brung the food out very fast aswell. Overall experience was great.

We went as a family. The chips arrived first and was cold so i asked them to send me dome hot ones, so they apologised and did, wen they came it seemed as if they refried the chips as they wer double times darker and literally a sorry state. So when they arrived i sent them back 2nd time and then the so called MANAGER HUZAIFA came, and the way he spole to us was disgraceful touching up the fries and saying "whats wrong with them, i haven't had a complaint today about them" and saying "they are like that" i said to him i came 2 weeks ago when the boss was here and the fries were not like these.. and the ones that came before weren't lile these, they wer just cold.... The main food arrived and was cold barley warm but we didn't dare say anything this time... Thanks to him me, my family and friends will not be coming here again. The grilled chicken was hard and cold, overall horrible experience. The staff also was arguing in the kitchen and ine was saying to the other "you have a problem with that, if you do i will slap you up" The whole time the manager was shouting at staff and being rude. We came out to relax but left VERY STRESSED

Honest to god hands down the best place to eat in preston! Went down with my whole family today and everyone finished there food. The lovely sister serving us was just amazing! Attentive to everything we needed the hospitality was Alhamdulilah on point! Very rare to find a place that ticks all boxes! Defined will be visiting again. Went here as a friend had recommended it. Staff couldn't do enough. Were friendly and even went out their way when orders were placed (added things and removed things for folk that wanted to slightly change their orders. Food was stunning. Came quickly and was delicious. Honestly blown away by this place and would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

First time visiting here today, plenty of seating. Food was prompt and taste decent however guy on the till obviously didn’t want to be there had his earphones in the whole time and didn’t show any politeness towards customers. Whilst we was eating all the staff in the kitchen were arguing with each other in front of customers which made the experience un-enjoyable.

Amazing customer service, lots of seating, the location full of varied cuisines but Grillaz menu stuck out for its flavour, spice, meat menu. After watching the review from food troll on YouTube, I tried the chicken meat hot plate. It was delicious, the flavours were popping in my mouth. The portion was huge, enough for 2 people, but a big lad like me had to pace myself. They have 3 table sauces, hot, garlic and special. They were unique, never tasted that unique blend, special was my favourite. Definitely try the hotplates, burgers are huge too. 2 lads next to my table are weekly regulars. They take card, as well as cash and on Deliveroo. The owner was very nice, he gave me a smashed burger to try. Again the meat was full of flavour not like the dozens I've tried in Manchester, Bradford, Liverpool. Overall great service, amazing food and more importantly the cost and portion size were spot on.

Nice little place in Preston city centre. The lady behind the till was very friendly and gave really good service. The food we ordered was a good size and was so tasty and fresh. I would definitely go again and try something else on the menu as there seems to be a lot of choice.

Have had it a few times lately. Decent seating space. Not a fan of the pizza, wasn’t very flavourful and base a bit thin The mixed kebab was delicious however. Would recommend this. Well cooked and a fan of the rice. Also loved the rice and chicken and steak - probs my favourite dish. Finally the Philly steak burger was nice too, cooked well and seasoned well To summarise, the chicken, steak and rice is best, but grilled things also nice, but no pizza

Good food second time round could have done with better serving of salad and better sauces home made mint would have done the business with kebabs. Great kebabs so far in Preston.

Went first time, got pizza which didn't have much of a taste, burger was alright, and got the seekh kebab platter, nothing special. Was disappointed as I heard some good reviews about it.

Called again with friends on the 11th August, for a change had the jerk chicken after the owner kept recommending it, and was not disappointed, had jerk in Jam rock and it’s up there with the best, will defo have it again on the next visit, has ever great food. Keep up the good work.

We had a late dinner here yesterday. Family of 7 with small kids and teens. Place was pack and busy but there were plenty of tables. We had single kebab with rice and nan, half grill chiken, chicken wings and nuggets(toddler cant handle spice). All very well seasoned and tasty. I would definitely go again for the kebabs and grilled chicken. And also to try other items in the menu which are too many. Even tho it was busy they had plenty workers and our food trickled in quick enough! Cash only which was a bit inconvenient for travellers or tourists like us. There are parkings off street outside. The place is loud and informal it is that kind of place so come for the food! We would recommend and come back if we ever in Preston again.

Inconsistent, very poor customer service

The meal was nice. Unfortunately it was spoilt by one staff member who although friendly stood right by our table watching us eat. Which spoiled the meal for my daughters who felt uncomfortable. Otherwise a great experience would have given 5 stars . The welcome was excellent. I don't think he did it on purpose probably trying to ensure we were catered for properly. However I have to take into account everyone I was with.

Excellent customer service, very friendly and considerate staff, and very accommodating to people of religious faith. About the food, well it was exceptional especially the pizza.

Great kebabs. Donner kebab was nothing like I've ever had before, perfectly seasoned and tastier than anything I've had before. Lamb karai on the bone! Very disappointed , never had something so poorly cooked. 90% paste rest bones and a few pieces of lamb. 12 quid , lol what a joke. N burger was very disappointing. And i don't think they care. I mean if a dish was tasty would any one leave any behind. Was so hungry so just eat the roti ...never again.. Hunt for authentic place in Preston ,

I find it strange that some of the comments here have been recycled by some people, seems like a personal problem. Ive personally experience some customers being extremely rude in the way they talk to the staff ….where’s your morals in spreading love and peace in a world of hate?? I’ve been going to this restaurant from the first few days I’ve moved to Preston and I have been going almost everyday ever since. Their service is always on point, the staff are so professional and helpful. The food is delicious and portions are excellent. The Smash daddy burger is Gem and a great place to bring your loved ones for some delicious Pizza. I thank God everyday for blessing the chefs hand and the fabulous staff. I definitely recommend stopping by here whenever you are in Preston

I went in today and Ordered a mix kabab with nan, when it came the kofta kabab was cold so asked why is it cold, they said its OK, I asked them if I could have bit more well. Done, the owner came around and swered and he was very rude and un professional, many people have said the place is going down the hill but I thought I would give a try unfortunately they where righ.

I used to come here regularly and get a 7" pizza meal for £3.75. I went just recently and price had basically doubled. It had gone to £6 and on top of that, they only offered a bottle of water where as before, they used to offer a can of drink. When I received the food, I was very disappointed. The portion size was unacceptable. The pizza was barely 7", more like 5". The portion of chips were ridiculous as well. This used to be a great place but suddenly it has become very bad. I dont intend on going their any time soon. I'm also warning friends and family to stay away to save them from becoming broke.

Amazing food! We ordered the chicken sizzler and the mixed grill- we honestly cannot fault this place. We’ve also tried the chicken karahi which is a very tasty traditional style curry. The owners are clearly passionate about food and it shows, this was our fourth visit and it’s going to become our regular. He is happy to speak to customers and recommend something new to try from his menu. We can only apologise that we have never taken photos because by the time we remember we’re half way through our meals. Looking forward to trying the lamb Karahi next time!!
