Loona Restaurant in Stockport

I was made to feel very welcome. Ask for some advice on the menu. In less than two minutes I had ordered two dishes based on my tastes. Got them home and they were both absolutely lovely. Price was good value and I will certainly go again .

The food was amazing! sadly my queen Hyunjin didn't show up so that's why I give Loona Restaurant four stars!

We ordered hummus, which was OK. Falafel, which was hard. Mains, we ordered the mixed grill with rice. A side of chips and fattoush. Mixed grill was shocking, 1 baby skewer of shish tawook, shish kebab, and kofta kebab. It was all hard and chewy. The fattoush was sour.. how can you go wrong with fattoush? I think people only go for the shisha but definitely don't rate the food. The ambience was pleasant, and the staff were all really friendly.. It was just unfortunate that the food wasn't great.

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews. I’ve been going there for years and never had bad experience. I’ve seen comments that Rana has an issues with brown people. The place is full of Indians, Pakistani and Arabs and there are never issues. Shisha and food very good and superb atmosphere. You can bring your own alcohol.

Food and service was excellent will definitely be having another visit.

I don’t know where to start but I will tell people please don’t go here poor service also The owner RANA her behavior towards brown people is disgusting she always back her people she not niccceeeeee!!!! Tooo much judaiii & ego!!!!!!. She got 16 year old working there and she paying them £2.50 even my boy moshin and boanani witnessed this, This place is on man evening news as well!! And foooddddd is horrible too much salt 🧂 Over priced she act like she’s very busy she barley got any customers in now I get it she hire 16 year old so she can pay £2.50 Poor behavior 0.00 rating

Shocking food even worse service

Unfortunately, I don't know where to start with Rana, the owner of the restaurant: Bad treatment, poor atmosphere, lack of hygiene, even the management's treatment of hotel staff is racist. I do not recommend visiting this place due to poor morals, hygiene and theft of employee rights.

Been a few months since we were last there, but as always the food is fantastic. Had a few favourites & tried some new to us. Food is always fresh, served at the right temp & with fabulous accompaniments which enhance the dishes.

Brilliant place and have been coming for many years. The food is fantastic, the owners are so hospitable and really lovely made our evening really special. Keep uo the fantastic work

Amazing food and a relaxed atmosphere. Food is good quality and reasonably priced around £15-25 per person. The loona rice was my absolute favourite... highly recommend it. I have been with my family and then again with my friends for a chilled evening. The owner was lovely and attentive and ensured we were were well looked after. Great authentic lebanese restaurant.

Great place drinks, food and shisha

I don’t know where to start from tbh I came in for nice Shisha and the owner (RANA EL ASSAAD) she don’t know how to treat her customers I have been going to Loona restaurant for 2 years now and since day one this lady had issues but I ignored however on Sunday she was just trying to insult me for no reason, lady have 0 manners she doesn’t know how to run business she never turns the heater on she only give VIP service to HER PEOPLE she smokes indoors while her customers smokes outdoor without the heaters! And she actually admits that she smokes indoors! I’m so glad her alcohol license taken away from her she makes 16 year old sells alcohol

Best lebanese food in manchester

One things evident. Before I wrote this I just had to scroll down a few times and most negative reviews have one thing in common. The attitude of the owner clearly stinks. Please understand what business you are in and have some respect for your customers. Will not be going again!

It was one of the amazing experience, the staff was very worm and friendly. The food was a bug wow. I tried the shisha was so smooth and nice epically in the cold ❄. I cant stop to say any more nice words. The owner she is a lovely lady, she was helping the staff and serving the home made food by herself. I will definitely come again. If you fancy lebanese food this is the place in the whole county.

My favourite spot for shisha near me. For £20 you can get a shisha pipe and a pot of tea to share with a friend, making for a pretty well priced night to enjoy. Considering how relaxed the atmosphere is and how friendly the owner is every time I come, I much prefer this place to any of the shisha spots on Wilmslow Road.

I live in the local area in cheadle and always visit. Food is very nice, I always get the chicken board, the shisha is nice too. Staff are very friendly and welcoming :)

Its sad really....this place was pretty good before. Now they are leaving fake reviews just to mask out the bad experience customers are having.

Shocking service from this place. I can’t believe how rude the owner is (moody looking lady). Looking at other reviews and seeing the same comments doesn’t surprise me. Will not be returning here again.

Terrible service very rude - lady looks like the owner had terrible customer service, bad attitude for no reason. No manners came to our table 30 minutes prior to closing time with the card machine in her hand, basically saying pay and go. Once we payed not a single thank you or acknowledgement just walks away back inside. Maybe this is the reason we was the only customers there. Won’t be coming again

Food was lovely, but 90 mins for main course to arrive is excessive. And bringing a side dish just as we're finishing off our mains isn't ideal either. Lovely place, good atmosphere, good food, but inattentive staff and too long a wait for the food. Maybe they were short staffed on the night?

Just eaten and was really disappointed. The meat shwarma was inedible. Meat so over cooked and bread dry! The chicken kebab my daughter ordered was undercooked. As it was a celebration meal we felt so upset that it was so inedible. I won’t be going back and don’t recommend

Will not ne returning here as they have now decided to dispense Alcohol. They have a lame excuse for this. Absolutely disgusted. You start this and then others will follow. Will change to 5 stars when you remove this from your premises. I have seen under age smoking there too! More 1 star reviews will be coming for under age smoking and the dispensing of Alcohol Astagfurallah

A huge No. Honestly you pay for what Everyone should check their receipt for hidden charges that mysteriously get added on.

Excellent food served quickly to us - I went as a party of 10 during a busy Saturday. Venue has very cool decorations, food is delicious, atmosphere relaxed, even can book Shisha outdoors! Will definitely be back for another visit 😋😀

What a night. Thank you sooooooo much to all the team at Loona, making my birthday party of 18 so welcome. Thank you for the excellent food, service, impromptu karaoke, shisha. We had a ball. Would give 0 star review if I could. Went there Friday night, staff and owner were very rude, looking at us in a despise manners. I was being told Several dishes we asked for is unavailable and took over 1 hour to cook. That's why this place is always empty. Not recommended at all 👎👎👎👎👎

Poor customer service 👎, rude staff, It took 1 hour for the food to be in our table, food was cold and wasn't even fresh, when we asked to change the Plate because of cold food they said we don't do it , so we asked for manager and the manager said that if you not happy you can leave !! Starters were good and my wife's chicken Kebab was excellent. I had the Meat Shawama which was nothing special - the meat was overcooked and the dish relly needed a sauce of some kind. The service was poor. When we finished our main course we were left for nearly half an hour with the empty plates not collected, even though the waitress passed our table empty handed several times (avoiding eye contact). We had intended to have a dessert and coffee, but got fed up and left.

One of the best, if not even the best Lebanese I have ever had. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. The baclava was home made and was the crowning glory of the meal. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!

We went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. They were very nice and accommodating about serving a dessert we brought, and making changes to menu items that we ordered. Love the chips! Would go back again :)

Excellent food and service, came for our anniversary. It was busy in the sheesha area so we ate inside which was much quieter and more private. Starters orders Humus Arwa and Moubul, which were OK but not Amazing so wasn't expecting much from the mains. Ordered the lamb shank and the lamb tenderloin kebab. The lamb kebab was very nice lots of flavour, not chewy at all. The lamb shank was amazing though, worth the 5 stars on its own, very soft and succulent fell off the bone. The bed of rice with mince lamb also enhanced the flavour. Overall a lovely meal out.

Beautiful and cosy restaurant, making you feel very comfortable and relaxed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice. Good selection of starters and mains. The dishes were served beautifully, the meet was really tasty and the pudding was just divine! I had Baklava served with icecreams and it was to die for! I highly recommend this place and definitely will be coming here again. Thank you to the chef and the owner who came to check on us and if we liked the food. Thank you.

We would not recommend a take away from here. The food for 4 people was completely insufficient, only a handful of undercooked chips and a small amount of rice and salad. There was enough meat however I would not expect to spend £60 on a takeaway and end up cooking more rice and making extra salad. I contacted the owner about this fully expecting him to be sorry and to make up for this experience, sadly this was not the case. He didn't apologise and was simply defensive and said he usually gets good reviews and he hoped we would go back soon! I don't think we will.

Arranged my sister in laws 50th surprise birthday. It turned out brilliant especially the sheeshas😄 The staff was very kind and cooperative. Restaurant's owner, Raana, was very accommodating and nice herself. She gave us their private dining area which was at the back of the restaurant. We had a very comfortable evening 👍

I went to this family run restaurant for food and shisha on a weekday evening around 9pm. I received excellent service from all the staff. The shisha was good and very good price at £15. I had the falafel board which was more than enough for one person (great chips!) and the food arrived hot and was fresh. The coals were changed frequently without needing to request them. I would definitely recommend and go again when in the area.

Service? Impeccable. So attentive, fast and genuinely interested in how our food was, and if we were OK and if we needed anything. Food? Outstanding. Fast, fresh and tasted incredible. Can’t wait to go back.

Just note, it says it's open till 12 but they don't serve food after 10pm. Which for some reason means they don't serve any dessert except for baqlawa after 10pm.

Went for my Dads birthday, waited 50 minutes for food, food came and half the food was cold or barely warm, my “perfectly cooked” lamb chops was like chewing through a brick, I ordered Chips and got rice, my dad ordered rice and got chips, the lady tried to solve it and in between was shouted at multiple time about us even though it wasn’t her fault it was the terrible chefs fault. The food that was warm, the chicken wings were terrible, the prawns were over cooked and the lamb was over cooked! Awful experience considering the price after most the meals were taken off was still nearly £80. Waitresses were more than helpful to try to resolve the situation and looked like they were doing the best of a bad situation.

We have eaten here on many occasions and the food is absolutely delicious. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend a visit

Loona restaurant catered my engagement dinner recently and it was absolutely fantastic. I can't fault them at all. The food is truly authentic (I am originally Lebanese), very fresh and delicious! The meats were very tender and cooked to perfection and the mezze dishes were superb.. A feast indeed! I thoroughly recommend Loona if you're after a delightful and hearty, healthy Mediterranean meal for a reasonable price!

Don’t waste your time or money. Food is sub-average @ best, overpriced menu, small portions. Service has a sadly taken a sharp downward spiral recently. Friends, along with myself have eaten here many times before/after the new regime took over. Food used to be ok. However over the last 3/6 months it’s been a failure! Food has NEVER looked like some of the professional pics posted here..Blatantly obvious there are quite a few positive fake reviews on here! Go to Yara in Cheadle, better food/value The bill MUST be double checked - phantom items - regularly. Terrible! This place is a car crash!

Went to loona tonight before lockdown starts again. The mixed grill was full of flavour. amazing starters (so much to choose from) and the best shisha in Manchester!! we will be coming back 100%

Fantastic food and absolutely faultless service ! truly delicious ...we tried the mixed kebabs , falafel , tabouleh , moussaka among other things and everything was So tasty ! Great place to take kids too as the staff are so welcoming and understanding of little ones .

Ordered a takeaway from there. For the £45 we spent we got a mix kebab for starter which was standard, two boxes filled with rice/spaghetti/lamb and aubergine stew (makloubeh)... and 2 Lebanese breads. Never tasted anything so bland. For the price in Cheadle Hulme/Bramhall there are many more places offering good food at a cheaper price. Avoid the disappointment.

Delicious food and amazing service. Our order was messed up by Uber Eats and Loona remade and delivered a new order themselves. Such brilliant service particularly at such a challenging time. We will absolutely be ordering again (directly from the restaurant next time) and when things calm down we will be paying a visit too. The food was fresh and tasty and full of flavour, and the portions were generous. Would recommend to anyone.

This place is so relaxing and quite romantic. The staff here always make you feel welcome and make sure you are okay. If you need anything, they will help! I was given a very thick blanket as I was cold, and they always put the heaters on too. We usually stay here for 2-3 hours as the atmosphere is just so nice to be in, its one of my favourite places for a chilled, classy night out.

The food came out so picturesque and it was delicious. Service was very prompt and the waiter was very friendly and attentive throughout. Cheadle’s hidden gem!
