When for a family dinner. First time we had been. We had a wonderful time and the food was excellent atmosphere was so friendly and the restaurant was nice and warm. The staff are so friendly we will definitely be going back .

Food use to be great. Unfortunately everything has gone down hill since the menu changes. I won't be returning.

Food is great, big portions, reasonably priced, very friendly service. Got us in , 9 of us, in no time when we walked in off chance. It's a lovely warm atmosphere. My second time and I'd definitely recommend

Went for a belated birthday treat for my mum who is gluten intolerant. From start to finish the treatment of us was wonderful. I called ahead to book and advised that my mum was gluten free. Akhan booked us in and not only made sure he'd ordered in gluten free bread but took the time to explain the menu options and the service was second to none. The only glitch was they did accidentally put rice with wheat on the plate but corrected it right away and brought a new plate. The food was also insanely tasty. I had the feta cheese borek which for me was the highlight of my food as it just melts in the mouth. All of the staff were just exceptional though and special thanks to Akhan who really went above and beyond!

Superb food, so tasty and cooked to perfection. It was my 75th birthday meal off my daughter. Brilliant atmosphere even had the bongos playing happy birthday to 3 other birthday celebrations. It was a fantastic place, a bit expensive, but the food was worth it.

Menu is very disappointing as they don't really cater for dietary requirements and not much gluten free option i ended up getting chicken and rice and that was it due to poor options plus they also added a service charge of 26.00 pounds its a huge shame we won't be going again as so many other places that offers better value for money.

Held my grandsons wedding breakfast here several years ago , it was first class. Not been much since covid but after a long absence the head waiter recognised us and gave us both a big friendly hug. We're both pleased to see him. Food is highly recommended, ambience is good, children welcome. The owner and family also dine here which I think is a recommendation itself.

The service is fantastic. The seafood is not fresh. The Adana kofte and chicken are missing a lot of flavours. They weren't impressive. Too many dips in the cold starter selection that felt like a dips platter. Missing the great Mediterranean fresh salads that comes always generously with starters adn mains.

Our quest for well priced lunch deals continues. We’re pleasantly working our way through a list of localish places that have special lunch menus that are short and cheap. And at £14.50 for two courses, Istanbul Grill was well worth a try. So, to start, there were baked meatballs in a tomato sauce, topped with melted cheese. It comes with excellent bread – texture a bit similar to a foccacia – and a little mixed salad for crunch. The other starter was three dips – classic houmous, cacik with tangy yoghurt spiked with mint, and an aubergine/tomato mix (patlican salatsi in Turkish). There’s more bread and salad on that plate. Their take on Imam Bayildi was OK. A bit mono-dimensional – much too much onion – the imam wouldn’t be fainting over this version. Comes with rice. There’s more of that bread in the other main course. It’s cut into large croutons and cooked till crisp. Then it’s topped with tomato sauce and yoghurt and, finally, sliced chicken breast (they also do a version using a lamb kofta). It works. So, a nice enough lunch. And definitely a bargain. There’s another Turkish restaurant in the village. We’ll see how that compares. One will get culled from the list.

Friendly service, great menus for lunch bites and main meals. Really enjoyed the food, plenty of taste, well presented and would recommend.

First time visiting here, the staff are very polite and helpful. The food was really tasty and fresh. Had the sharing mixed grill platter and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Would 100% recommend.

A little wait on arrival. So stood around waiting to be seated by front of house staff. Noticed straight away the restaurants lovely decor. Just went for an early light dinner. Unfortunately never got asked how are meals were, the table being did. Food was tasty, wine was nice also.

Myself and my wife came here for our 5th wedding anniversary, we have been here before and never had a bad experience the food is fantastic service was great we both left with very full belly's and big smiles on our faces. Cannot wait to go back highly recommend 👌.

I ordered from this place at least twice a week. As a family we work long hours and care for elderly parents every day so it’s hard to find quality, fresh, honest food to enjoy.

Terrible service and too long waiting although not at busy time

Ordered the prawn starter and mixed grill. The prawn starter has a nice presentation, with a good garlic and spices sauce; however, it’s a huge disappointment that the main key ingredient - prawns - is not fresh. The mixed grill was okay; however, one of the grilled items - beef patties - was dry. Of all the 3 items I ordered, the rice is the best of all.

Popped in here with a. Friend to try the 2 course lunch special they have on for £14.95 I had the lentil soup and my friend had the meatballs to start and then we both had the lamb stew. Everything was very tasty and we was given plenty of Turkish bread with our starters to mop up the juices. The lamb stew was absolutely delicious and had so much tender lamb inside the stew. Very good value lunch will be back

Food is always good. It was a fairly quiet time which suited us.

Just had a family gathering for my daughters 8th birthday food amazing,as always, the waiter who looked after us couldn't have been nicer and especially to my little girl thank yoi for making her birthday so special.

Mixed skewer is £15 for 2 measly skewers of kebab - no salad, no rice, no sauce, no bread - all of this has to be bought separately. I’ve never seen a Turkish restaurant do this.

disappointing. not eaten from here in a few years, ordered our usual, portion size was absolutely tiny and it also arrived cold. used to be one of our favourites for a takeaway but to be honest i won't be ordering again, can get far more for my money elsewhere

I had a very good time absolutely. loved the waiter staff especially that very tall man. young girls i noticed were very helpful and polite. I loved to see young ones working hard. Food amazing especially that chocolate cake wow.

Way Overpriced and extremely bad service. Food was late for an hour even though we were the first table to arrive to the restaurant. After waiting for an hour and saw that all the other tables that arrived after were served with food we decided to leave and Thank god we left and didn’t stay as the starter (which was £40) was not worth it and they served it with ONE single piece of bread!! They tried to charge £5 per bread! Wouldn’t recommend and would never go back!

Just had the worst experience ever in a restaurant. We arrived the first in the restaurant with all the tables are still empty. After they took the order and served the starters "which is very tiny portions and highly priced" they kept us waiting for more than 40 minutes while they served the customer who arrived after us!!! First and last time visiting this place. We decided to leave and not to wait longer.

Staff unfriendly, food too expensive for tiny portions, wanted to charge us £65 just for starters and bread. Had to wait 40 minutes even though we arrived before all the other customers who were now eating. Sensed a bit of racism there. Avoid.

We decided to get a Turkish experience prior to our holiday to Istanbul, My partner was dying for a Moussaka and was craving this particular dish all day I had Muska Borek and and a mixed grill and it was unbelievably good! I was given a homemade Turkish chilli sauce that was to die for, when I said how much I lived it to top off the night one of the waiters didn’t allow me to leave until he gave me some to take home with me, Exceptional restaurant, food and staff - we will be back!

We were visiting Manchester from Canada and a friend of ours took us here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a pleasant surprise! The food was excellent and the flat bread, what an invention! My husband and I felt like celebrities with the singing, drumming and cheering of the staff and the other patrons to wish us a happy anniversary. I would recommend this restaurant 100%. Great food and great atmosphere.

Calamari & breaded king prawns weren’t great, definitely not freshly made. The main meals (steak and lamb) were very nice though. We came on mothers day and it was a 2 course set menu for £30 (+£6 for steak)… terrible value for money. The bill was £140 for 3 people with just one bottle of wine for drinks?

Came Saturday afternoon. Manager is extremely grumpy, no smiles or hellos. Very cold & dismissive to us & even our baby & toddler. Ordered oat latte & I got milk instead (I have a milk allergy) but the waitress quickly fixed this. Breakfast was good. Ordered our kids French toast but this didn’t come out & when I went to enquire they hadn’t even put it on, by this point hubby & I nearly finished breakfast so we cancelled the order as we had to leave for an appointment. It was only us & another couple at the restaurant so not sure how this was missed especially as manager said your kids breakfast is coming after he served ours to us. Kids got by on toast. One young waiter was absolutely brilliant with our kids, so chipper & made my toddler laugh! Thanks so much for being so sweet young man!

Food was mid, portion sizes was tiny for £16. The staff were very nice and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. When raised about the food and portion sizes, the excuse was "not everyone can eat a big meal" I wasn't looking for a big meal but I'd be better filled to have a rustlers....

Visited with friends. Interior was ok, staff were friendly...that's where the positives end. Ordered a mixed grill whereby you have to order sides separately (not something I've seen in any other Turkish restaurant). Food arrived promptly and looked like the chef could not be bothered, four pieces of meat stacked on top of each other with a grilled tomato on the side, no breads, no sauces, the plate was a very sad looking effort. Tried to let the manager know what a mess the food was and he replied with a question of "have you seen how much things have gone up lately?" he totally missed the point. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't even consider returning.

I'm a regular visitor here, having been coming here for several years as it is my brother's favourite Turkish restaurant and he recommends it to everyone 😄 There are so many tasty dishes on the menu, with it being slightly expensive in some regards. But still worth it, can't speak highly enough of the food ❤️ To be honest the only reason I don't come here more is the price. But every meal I have had is memorable and leaves me feeling satisfied and looking forward to my next visit. They did used to do a lunch menu and a meze offer in the afternoon which was great value for such quality - don't know if they still do it Quality of food is excellent with the lamb chops exemplifying this aspect. The last meal we had was so good I had to write a review. 45 quid for an amazing meal, not bad at all 😊 I had the feta salad with a side of vegetables and my bother had the mixed grill with a side of rice and we had a garlic bread with cheese to share which was fabulous. Thank you for such a wonderful meal 🙏

That's precisely what he mentioned to me, by the way. I am Turkish, and my husband is English. He is pleasantly surprised and delighted by the impeccable service and Turkish hospitality. We have visited many Turkish restaurants across the UK, and yours is undoubtedly the most delicious. The food is simply of the highest quality and incredibly tasty. Additionally, the restaurant itself boasts a lovely, cozy atmosphere. I apologize that I only took 2 photos and forgot to capture images of the amazing starters as we were so hungry! Food was delicious! Everything was fresh and tasty and the lamb chops were tender and full of flavour! The only thing I would ask for more of is the chilli sauce.

First time eating here but hopefully not the last. The food was fantastic, staff very friendly and a great atmosphere. Hopefully will visit again the next time in this area. Would highly recommend.

I've been there three times, and let me tell you, it's a fantastic place with a chill and cool atmosphere. The staff is super friendly, and the food is pretty good. Last weekend I ordered soup for a starter, it came with the most amazing freshly baked bread. It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants, and I highly recommend pizza pollo

Another amazing meal the food was beautiful and such generous portions we had the mix grill for 2 the meat is beautifully cooked and such high quality.the service is outstanding every one is so attentive and really go out of there way the waiter noticed it was my birthday and came out with a little desert and candles with out even being asked will definitely be returning soon thank you guys for a lovely evening

Fabulous Christmas Day meal with family. We all enjoyed the day and had a fabulous time.

Had dinner here for the first time this week and I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of every dish on our table! Both starters selections and our mains were hot and flavoursome- we truly could not pick favourites! The restaurant was quiet but by no means did that dampen the experience. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and restaurant felt very well taken care of with its appearance. I will say that this isn't the cheapest Turkish restaurant I have been to, however, the food was top quality and the portions were generous. We drove to the location and were pleased that there was parking available within an easy walking distance. I also must acknowledge that the restaurant is all flat/levelled but tables are close so if you require the use of mobility aids, I would recommend calling ahead. We did see that a customer had an aid while we dined so this was definitely a good sign for accessibility I would happily recommend and would return to sample even more of the menu!

SHOCKING Booked a table for 18h15. No service till 18h45 when they DID NOT direct us to our table but merely took an order. By 19h10 we just left. No drinks came. No apology. Absolutely RUBBISH service. Too many bookings and not enough staff or tables to cope. Money money money!!!!!! And tbh not such good food. We went to another restaurant on the High Street which was AMAZING!!!!!!

This place consistently gets orders wrong and doesn't take allergen advice seriously. While they're quick to take orders and get customers in, the lack of attention to detail is disappointing. If you have dietary restrictions, be extra cautious. Not the best experience overall.

Absolutely everything. Welcome and service was A* as was the food and the beer. It was a last minute decision and we went as a family, my mother was visiting. Kids really enjoyed. Food was well prepared and a veritable cornucopia of tastes. Let us all very full and very happy. Highly recommended.

This place used to be outstanding and we would sometimes visit as often as once a month. It offered authentic Turkish dishes which you could not easily get else where. We were so disappointed at our last visit that the new menu has been dumbed down to such an extent. Gone is the mixed mezes for 1 which included such things as stuffed vine leaves, falafel, aubergine dip, feta cheese parcels, spicy sausage and more. A few of these you can order as a whole portion but no longer as a meze. Many traditional Turkish dishes seem to have gone and there are now items such as king prawn linguine on the menu. Why? Please don’t pander to fussy eaters who want to eat the same generic creamy food you can get pretty much anywhere. Also disappointingly the Lux sharing platter now doesn’t come with either of the two dipping sauces it used to, nor any rice, nor any salad. Ok, you can order rice separately but it seems penny pinching and the whole experience seems so watered down and generic. It wasn’t far off what could get as a mixed kebab from a decent kebab takeaway. I suspect they’re gearing more towards the takeaway customer than the eat in ones.
