Best Chinese takeaway in the area bar none. Just love it. Always top quality with generous portions. Have been a customer for many years.

I'm from hertford the Chinese takeaway we normally is now closed for ever and we don't like any of the other Chinese takeaways in hertford so we tried loon che in Hatfield today we were very impressed it was atleast 15 pounds cheaper than anywhere in hertford and we really had a nice meal thank u so much loon che well done we will be returning 😊

Clean, efficient. Staff with very good social skills. Order completed in 15 minutes. Tasty food, piping hot, large containers filled to the rim. Five dishes, enough for three days. Parking a big plus as plenty of free parking right outside. Prices good. £20 for: large pancake roll, hot & sour soup, beef chow mein, egg fried rice, pork with black bean sauce & veg. Will definitely go again.

Awful quality food. Chewy meat, bland and tasteless. Staff rude. Told a collection time and still had to wait an extra 15 minutes.

Food is always so fresh and tasty, it never fails to impress me. Have tried all local chinese and this is 100% the best around. We absolutly love it 😀

Very good Chinese food, best in Hatfield. However can be a bit tasteless so be sure to use plenty of sauce !

tasteless food! It is simply awful! The crispy beef was inedible . the chop suey tasted like water and beansprouts. It's just the worst!

Would highly recommend anyone who loves chinese food! Definitely the best sesame prawn toast in Hertfordshire! The food is always cooked very well with quality ingredients, always piping hot when we pick it up from the shop, The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also they do great menu and offer 10% discount for any other items during lunch.

Loon Che opened in 1972.... I remember because my parents got our first Chinese Takeaway there. 47 years on and it’s still my favourite Chinese Takeaway....& the only one I ever use when home. Well done guys and thank you for many many years of fantastic food !

I live in St Albans, and travel to Hatfield for my Chinese takeaway. Best for miles around... The same business has been in the same place since as far as I can remember (70s). I used to go with my Dad to get our Chinese.

Really disappointed that Loon Che was closed on 10th November. Would have been easy to put a message on the voice mail but after trying to book by phone (no answer) I drove 6 miles to find it closed until 21st November on a rainy night. Was not amused. Docked it one star for this very avoidable mistake.

I have been buying great food from Loon Che for the last thirty years, give or take. This is undoubtedly the best take away Chinese for miles.

Came here for our take out, as driving back from Sudbury, so stopped here to get some food, to eat in car, as still 20 odd miles from home. We had the chips, they were ok, but chips still hard a bit? The salt and pepper chicken, lovely and crunchy, along with the Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls, sauce was Very Strong-hit back of my throat. The Chicken Balls were nice, but even tasted better in the morning COLD. You could just taste a bit of Grease, but lovely taste.

Good size portions. Lovely tasty dishes. Very fresh tasting. Love the large pancake rolls. House chow mein is a favourite as are the sweet and sour chicken balls which are great value and large. The crispy squid with sea salt and chilli is light and fresh well worth a detour from the usual menu items.

After 38 years of using this take away with only a change of ownership within the family I still think this is a quality takeaway! I will continue to use them as not once have I been disappointed with any meal!

Tried this place whilst stuck at work. Phoned the order through and collection time was quick. Food was very nice and hot. The only thing I would say it was on the more expensive side but was worth the money. 🥠🥠🥠🥠 out 5

He sido cliente de este serio chino tome distancia desde 1974 y = esta noche pedí un plato para dos. La calidad de la comida era excelente, la cantidad muy abundante y el precio muy razonable. El hecho de que este llevar ha durado 44 años dice mucho y en todo ese tiempo siempre he estado contento con la comida que venden.

Grew up on Hatfield Garden Village and was my local Chinese takeaway for 18 years...been back today and still fab and so tasty. Excellent.

Lovely food hot fresh and not to greasy. Love their chips and curry sauce. It is alittle more money but ur paying for the quaility x

Have always used this chinese takeaway, the food is good quality and reasonably priced and have never let us down. The foo young and salt and chilli prawns are the best i have had! From what i can remember the same guy has worked there all this time and it isnt the same when he is not there!

This is a great chinese takeaway, we often travel a little further to get food from here the value is excellent and has all your standard dishes.

Great takeaway in Hatfield Garden Village. Only ever had a few bad meals but thats the same with anywhere and probaly due to different staff being on! Very Very highly recommended :-)
