Lookout Cafe Bar in Cardiff

Very disappointing. Great views and friendly staff but overpriced and poor value for money. The tiniest flapjack ever, UHT milk in tea and coffee! Just horrible. The only saving grace was the mocktail. I’m sure it’s great for wine and olives.

First went for a pint to see the sunset, then came back the next morning to have a fabulous full « welsh » breakfast ! This place is just so cool ! Lovely wooden terrace with a great view of the bay. Loved it. Must do in Cardiff !

Great little place on Cardiff's waterfront. We went for a night of fun and frocks in a tented extension which was once an exhibition space. Instead, a female impersonator made a fabulously funny exhibition of himself as the audience ate and drank. Worth a look.

Always had an amazing time at this venue. They offer a fabulous event venue and some fabulous events of their own but this venue is one of the best locations to sit in the sun or to what the sunset in Wales.

A group of us went for a buffet. The food was put out well before we arrived and left uncovered. It was extremely hot and flies were on the food. My friend asked why the food hadn't been kept chilled and covered till we arrived but didn't get a sensible reply. I just hope none got food poisoning. Unbelievable poor standards for otherwise a lovely location.

I believe the cafe opened sometime is April and is now one of our favourite places to eat when looking for a reasonably priced meal or just a sandwich. Quite a fair menu to choose from and if you just want cake your covered. The staff are very friendly and the food is well presented. There is seating inside and I was advised they were waiting for their outside seating to arrive but if you are just looking for a sandwich to enjoy and take away you can sit yourself on the benches near by or the grassed area overlooking the bay. Toilets inside the cafe. You won’t miss the building it’s Orange! situated towards the Penarth side of the barrage.
