Not the best service and to top it up with average food. Can’t fulfil order but still will charge full money. Not recommended

I travel from Wigan a few times a year to see friends in Barking and I always insist we have a kebab from here, best lamb shish kebab I’ve ever tasted, very polite staff

Unfortunately our expectations are not the same as the good reviews you have! The food is tasty but very poor service waiting more than an hour, seating next to smelly toilet (no toilet paper inside) , also very cold place. The waitress was probably new so she didn’t know nothing about the menu. We would not return again and recommend this place !

Just returned from yet another visit to my favourite local Turkish restaurant and can only sing its praises once again! Beautiful food cooked to perfection; massive portions served with a smile. I cannot fault this place in any shape or form and am looking forward to my next visit already.

I came here by myself mid afternoon. It was my first time here and was exactly what I’d hoped. The restaurant was smart, clean and friendly. Service was quick and attentive and the complimentary bread and dips were lovely. My Iskender kebab and coke came to £10 which I was more than happy to pay for. Just be aware it’s cash only.

Premier contact, premier restau à Londres et sa banlieue. Après une arrivée tardive en ville, nous nous sommes laissés guider vers ce restaurant turque qui avait plusieurs bons avis. Les viandes sont cuites juste à point, goûteuses sans excès de sauce qui est servie à part. Les assiettes sont copieuses et présentées avec goût. Excellente table !

We live locally and we are lucky enough to have Alex’s Place just right in the corner for authentic kebab and doner. They are open for dine in but we usually have it take away and enjoy the feast at home. Their kebab, doner and veggies are simply grilled to perfection. Even their simple salad with dressing is amazing. The garlic white sauce just compliments everything which we end up taking some more. We just had Alex’s kebab for dinner twice last week and we were scheduling it already when will it be the next. My family loves eating and we think that this is probably the best Turkish Kebab in East London.

This was hands down the best kebab I've ever tasted. We went for the mixed kebab special and all the meat was cooked to perfection. Whilst waiting for our main we also had delicious pitta with hummus, salsa dip and mint yoghurt on the house. Extremely good value for money in London!

Honestly one of the best turkish places we have eaten at ! ( and we have been to many! ) Quality of food and service is really good! We are new to this place but would highly recommend. We shall come again!

We took a takeaway from this place and it was one of the best kababs that we had in London, well cooked and juicy. It's a shame they don't do home delivery, I would definitely be ordering then as I am actually in the vicinity.

Una vez más. . . pequeño lugar encantador . Perfecto para cenas y bebidas. No es un gran lugar, pero las raciones son definitivamente grandes. . ! Muy buena relación calidad-precio. La camarera fue muy educada y amable, y aunque es una tienda de kebabs, el restaurante en la parte trasera de la tienda está muy limpio y ordenado, y la comida se sirve en platos increíbles. . . Definitivamente puedo recomendar este encantador y pequeño restaurante escondido si estás en el extremo este de Londres y solo quieres disfrutar de una buena comida. El pollo kebab y el arroz es absolutamente increíble.

Fui allí para una cena, muy pequeño restaurante muy pintoresco, principalmente una tienda de kebab pero hay algunas mesas en la parte trasera.

Mi amigo y yo cenamos aquí anoche y la comida era fabulosa como de costumbre. Comencé con calamares y él tenía halloumi con nuestros platos principales como una parrillada mixta y pollo kebab. Tengo que felicitar al chef ya que las carnes se cocinaron a la perfección y se mantuvieron suculentas a diferencia de otros lugares en los que he estado. La ensalada (con un aderezo precioso) y el arroz que acompañaba la carne eran perfectos y abundantes. Me encantó el pan también! Terminamos la noche con té turco y baklava. Hay que agregar que el lugar ha tenido un cambio de imagen en las últimas semanas (decoración, muebles y loos) lo que hace una gran diferencia positiva. En resumen, he estado aquí en varias ocasiones y el servicio / tratamiento de este negocio familiar siempre ha sido siempre bueno. . . . ¡Bien hecho el equipo de Alex!

Pedí un take away de un Kofte y pollo kebab, y un cordero grande shish. Después de nuestra última visita a Londres, queríamos volver aquí, pero deseamos no haberlo hecho ahora. ¡El shish fue claramente cortado de un corte de cordero más barato y se vino abajo! No era lo que esperas de comer un cordero shish. A menos que esto sea, por supuesto, lo que quieren y piden los apostadores. Podría haber sido cordero, ya que me recordó este corte de carne? ¿Tal vez el restaurante puede iluminarme? El cordero picada de mi amigo Kofte era bastante duro, pero como no lo había hecho antes, ¿podría ser que así es? De lo contrario, todo lo demás era de estándar habitual. Vergüenza. . . Open late gone 2am but the restaurant is shabby and quiet dirty I really wouldn't recommend sitting in to eat . Take away only . Staff are friendly and helpful.

Het mag er dan wel helemaal blauw staan, omdat volgens mij de afzuiger stuk was, maar het is 100% de moeite waard. Lekker eten, super mals en heerlijke kruiden. Je verwacht het niet als je er langs loopt en zal bijna doorlopen, maar stap naar binnen en geniet van dit heerlijke eten!

Picked up a takeaway from this authentic Turkish restauarant and was not disappointed. Requested the Turkish bread to wrap lamb shish in. Good choice of salad and condiments. Highly recommended.

Alex's Place sirve la mejor Kebab de pollo probablemente no sólo en Londres! No se puede comparar el sabor con cualquier otro sitio! Tengo que conducir 20 minutos extra para llegar a este lugar, pero en el final disfrutando de mi kebab sé que valió la pena! Gracias chicos!

Mis hijos han estado comiendo aquí durante años pero tienen solo yo incluido. Alex es el padre y sus hijos y un sobrino. Son muy atentos y la comida es fresca, sabrosa y abundante. Me encanta el cordero o pollo shish kebabs con sus ensaladas frescas y arroz. El precio es razonable y se puede comer en el restaurante o para llevar. Gran lugar para tener tan cerca de casa y no necesitan hacer publicidad porque el boca a boca y la comida de calidad, que mantiene el negocio boyante.

We visited here with my partner on recommendation from our boss 3 weeks ago. Since then we have been here at least 8 times and tried a variety of dishes. I don't eat meat, so the lads are always very accommodating making me grilled vegetables. The veggie burger and the doner are the best we have had. The service from the lads is outstanding, they know their food, very polite and helpful and attentive. They have a decent selection of drinks and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It can be a bit busy late at weekends.The food especially the salads always tastes and looks fresh. The portions are absolutely huge too!. Great value for money.This has quickly become our favourite place to eat. Highly recommended. Should be in a completely different location as it's too nice for barking road!. Always had a liking for Turkish food. First time I tried here in Alex's place.. it's a fantastic experience.. excellent food ever I had.. fabulous dishes , awesome taste plus really really good people.. overall pleasant tummy experience and heartfelt experience.. Guess what? I am a repeat customer to this place now atleast every 2 days.. Great place to eat, made me fall in love with food again..Try this place.. All stars from me !!!

Went for a late lunch with my mum. Very cosy restaurant/takeaway. Tasty food and excellent service, the staff were attentive and quick. Ordered a mixed grill which was £13 but it was enough to feed 2 people at least. Had a lovely time. The takeaways are also fresh when we get them. Will definitely come again.

Picked up a simple kebab at 1am and the food was so fresh and we'll seasoned, I was honestly surprised. Great service, friendly and most importantly well made seasoned food. Highly recommended

Watched the boxing Saturday night, me and a Nate were Hungary, he wanted steak,I know a place, barking road, Alex'sWell what a great meal, we both had T-bone steaks. They were brilliant, couple of beers each, job done, my friend was well impressed!!!We left about 2am, it stays open till 03.30am apoarently. Will definitely go again. Keep up the good work.

i have pretty much eaten everything on the menu, it is more of a kebab shop than a restaurant but you can eat in, (if you do eat in please note the wine-list/alcohol list is the bare minimum, and the prawn cocktail is to be avoided as the sauce was like something out of a bad squeezy bottle) the halep and iskender kebabs are of a good standard as are the shish/grill meats. this is the best kebab shop in east ham by far and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. clean and hygienic, if you're looking for a tasty takeaway, or a late night snack (open til 3am on weekends) Alex's is you're one-stop kebab shop!

I was taken by my uncle who told me when he used to be a kid he used to come here with my mum and his other sister after school he even recognised the guy at the back. The food is decent portions are great so much so I have brought friends back

Lets just say you will not leave this place hungry. The proportion of the food is absolutely large. Its run by two brothers who are extremely friendly and are not hesitant to have a conversation. The food quality is outstanding and i promise it would not be a disappointment.
