Lollard's Pit Pub in Norwich

This was a glorious pub for drinking, keeping its ancient Tudor architecture! The ceiling and pillars show its magnificent foundation, windows are lovely with their curtains too. The counter is well-presented and staff were lovely, seating is cosy. Table was very clean and they had a range of ciders on tap, I enjoyed the Rhubarb one!

A revelation this weekend. Great pub. Went as part of Woodfordes ale trail. Normally go Red Lion or Adam and Eve when local here. But very Good service, beer and prices and atmosphere. Looks like a roaring fire during the Winter. Lots of wood ready to go. Can't wait to return.

Brilliant pub, great atmosphere and beers

Well the history was that witches used to be burnt here! Must visit for the aura and the view. Did not have food, but the crips are totally worth it

After visiting and exploring Norwich I though it’s time to stop and have a good pint of beer, the bar staff was very friendly and welcoming and very good choice of beers and ales, the prices were very good and they have great siting area outside. It was very nice to have a cold drink and peaceful and quiet outside area. Plenty of space for sitting inside and outside.

I asked for tap water as I just had my phone repaired and couldn’t use contactless, I don’t really use cash these days, I was exhausted as I had to rush out i don’t drive, theirs a steep hill in this area and I was knackered, lovely lady served me no problems i know it was a very random visit but it was a hot summers day and I was gasping for water thank you to the lady at the bar!

I thought I had entered into a care home and not a pub. It was absolutely dreadful.

If you want a pub crawl through the older parts of Norwich steeped in history and enchantment with beautiful cobbled streets and quaint pubs on route this is a must as a first stop ! Get off the train and turn right walk along the river and you will come across this pub you can’t miss it ! Oldy worldly a real gem 💎

Very good 17th century pub not too far from Norwich Railway Station and about a mile from Carrow Road stadium. 5 cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating. Not too busy before the Spurs game.

It is a very old quite atmospheric pub serving very good ales, beers and lagers. It is fairly quiet on a Sunday lunchtime which is why I go there then 😃

Nice pub - friendly staff and regulars, decent beer at a good price. Old building with oak beams etc. has a warm ambience - despite a grim history (you can look up the origin of the name for yourself!) Lots of nooks and crannies to have a private conversation, seperate room for pool. Beer garden was OK (more a yard than garden - but sun and fresh air).

Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, but some of the clients were rude as this was our first time there.

Billy and the bar staff should be applauded. The table service is very well managed, and they manage to remain cheery and welcoming in these difficult times. Excellent range of real ale, and a really lovely pub garden and great interior.

So another one ticked off my list of pubs to visit in the city. The beer was good, it had a gentle relaxed atmosphere even though full of city fans. I would definitely visit again pre-match.

Great pool table, nice atmosphere. Slightly outdated music, but its good none the less, and the staff are wonderful, which is always a bonus.

It has change since u was last here. Been updated But still a nice place to visit. Only thing which made me uncomfortable was all the doors were open and a draft was going through the whole place.

A really nice and friendly pub. Staff are helpful and friendly. Made friends with a couple of the locals in my first visit.

Lovely atmosphere. The pub don't serve meals but you can order a takeaway to be delivered at the pub. Bar snacks such as pork pies, sausage rolls and filled rolls are available as well as crisps & nuts. There's usually up to 5 ales available. The " regulars" are a friendly bunch & the staff make everyone feel welcome. If you are alone but need some company this is the place to come.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Love it here!
