Nice experience The owner is very polite and courteous. Food is affordable and very much like the indigenous culinary.

Pounded took how many hours (because I called to follow up), puff puff are tasteless and gigantic, looked more like buns.

I really love the food here, especially the amala. It's super amazing. However, I've given them a two star because they don't have a price list, at least I've visited over five times and was never shown one. All the times I've been here, I have ordered the same amala with abula, and on every occasion I was quoted a different price and asked to pay. And the price gaps are ridiculous. Like, how hard is it to create a menu that people can see before they order? Why quote them random prices? Asides from the disparity in prices, having a menu will give more visibility in terms that a lot of people who visit don't know the whole items they sell. For example, I just realized that they sell akara today, after over 5 visits. Let's not even talk about the customer service. In all, I think they should make their prices more transparent.

The estimated time was b between 20 to 35 minutes it came 20 minutes outside of that- this was difficult because I was expecting to have this meal for my lunch but my lunch was over by the time the meal arrived. The puff puff was also still and hard.

Ordered off just-eat and the food arrived frozen or ice cold. Puff puff was cold, ayamase was still frozen and the Asaro was frozen AND had mould on it. Zoom in on the white speck in the picture of the Asaro to see the mould.

Ordered x2 Jollof Rice and x2 Moi Moi. Didn’t receive Jollof rice in delivery. Moi Moi was ok, cooked well, but no fish in it as described in menu.

Pounded yam and egusi were amazing.

I wanted to eat this because I have been craving this delicacy for a while but it's a disappointment because I don't know if I ordered oil and stew or I ordered yam porridge. I won't be ordering again.

WRONG ORDER. THIS WAS NOT FRESH FISH STEW. I ORDERED FRESH FISH STEW WITH FISH TAIL. I RECEIVÈD BONY FISH HEAD & TRIPE INSTEAD, & A HORRIBLE TASTING STEW THAT WAS NOT FRESH FISH STEW AT ALL. THE EBA ALSO TASTED HORRIBLE, TOO SOFT & SOGGY -I.E. WATER LOGGED. THIS WAS TO BE MY 1ST & ONLY MEAL OF THE DAY, SO I'M STILL HUNGRY AS COULDNT BEAR CONTINUING WITH THE MEAL. TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY. THIS STEW IS USUALLY GOOD, BUT ONCE A WHILE THEY SEND A DIFFERENT STEW FROM WHAT I ORDERED. VERY OILY TOO.

Missing items from my order, not happy about that, no pounded yam that i paid for.

The Abula gave me the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced! I was so excited to try their food, only to spend the whole night in the toilet with diarrhoea and vomiting.

Horrific and unrelenting diarrhoea for me and my date after eating their pounded yam and eforiro - this place needs to be investigated expeditiously before they kill someone.

2 Jollof Rice only is missing in my order

I asked for snails I didn't receive snails looked more like goats s tongue and food wasn't hot

Food was good but service was just there and flies was every where.

I phoned & asked if they could do veg stew rather than meat with my meal, and they said "Yes". So on the order notes, I put, "Please add VEGETARIAN stew, NOT chicken or meat, to the jollof rice and ewa agoyin, as discussed". But they sent meat.

Last minute Ordered a considerable amount of extra food for my mum celebration of life and her passing. The £50 of plantain was mot delivered that was on the 29th July. Several peolpe have gone in own my behalf to collect the money as was told would be possible. Calls are abruptly ended to me. Is there no one on the restaurant who xan refund me. I will stop going there after nearly 20 yrs.

I haven’t been to Peckham for more than 30 years, this restaurant had good reviews so we decided to pay it a visit. I went with my husband for a mid-week lunch. The place was almost deserted yet no one paid any attention to us. When the waiter did take our order we waited ages for the food to arrive which we saw being warmed in the microwave. The food was okay but the snails hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly and my amala was lumpy (my husband’s was fine). I went to the toilet after my meal and it was so disgusting that had I visited it before ordering my food I would have left immediately. My husband and I have eaten in many African restaurants across London and beyond and this has to be the most unhygienic place we have ever been.

I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced worse customer service. Food I ordered, didn’t arrive. Try to contact them, they don’t even pick up. They send whatever food they want and it’s not what you ordered. I genuinely have never experienced such bad service. This place has taken the crown. The food that did arrive was COLD. I would avoid, maybe if you go into the restaurant they’ll care. Otherwise, please don’t waste your time, money or peace of mind. A combination of missing items and incorrect items make for a grand 1/10.

They took more than 30 minutes to give the food after I had ordered and apologized for forgetting I was still waiting. I ordered egusi soup and clearly little to no egusi there and was very spicy, inedible. I do not recommend

As I entered I saw staff sitting on the floor putting food from the pot into containers which was all also on the floor. Super unhygienic. I used to love this place, the weight I added my gosh, however, nowadays it's soooo gone down hill, it's off putting. NEVER AGAIN CHAI.

I asked for fried beef but got assorted meat

I ordered Semolina and Okra soup with assorted, I also ordered jollof rice and pomo. only the semolina was delivered without the jollof rice and pomo. you can't continue to be this irresponsible. I have ordered another one now. if the delivery guy brings it and it's not complete. I will tell him to wait and return it to him. this is very unfair. you did that the last time I ordered.

I ordered for chicken and I was served beef stew. To top it up the food was cold. What a waste of funds.

my experience has been very very bad so far,why would I order moi moi,Rice and Turkey but my Two moi moi were missing..If moi moi is not available ,tell me it isn't,why deliver just rice and very bad Turkey to me. This is the 3rd time thus is happening,you just deliver whatever you feel like delivering..The previous time I also ordered Rice and ponmo,,Rice and chicken was delivered...Please just tell the reason for that? I'm do unhappy with this.This is just too bad and uncalled for............

Lovely place to eat good Amala, with correct Abula in Peckham! The fish was outstanding! The orisirisi was really orisirisi. Had to take the rest home.

I dunno what the hype was about. Everything was tasteless. How can you mess up ABULA??? Stew watery and bland, spicy af for no reason. The efo too bland. And then pack meat in the stew but it’s really bones. And they left out my drink. This was a shambles. Never again.

I was craving amala and a friend of mine took me here. Hot amala and ewedu with the right amount of pepper, good portion size at an affordable price. I couldn't finish it and had to take the remaining home.

It’s Amazing! I go atleast every week without fail. Food is fresh and hot the flavours are absolutely impeccable. Food comes fast, great communication if there’s any delays. Staff are often smiling. This cuisine is an absolute Gem. And I would definitely recommend! Any friends I’ve brought along always go back!

I enjoyed the food, it was very tasty and well spiced. The service was great without too much delay, but I feel they can have more people attending to customers. The atmosphere was okay.

FAO Justeat. I ordered 3 items, one item was missing -eba. I phoned restaurant & a Razak suggested I placed a second order so he could add the missing item from 1st order. I phoned back severally to give specifics of my 2nd order & a reminder to add the 1st order's missing item, but no answer. I'm writing this review for 1st order & in advance of 2nd order, to say I will be claiming refunds from justeat if my 2nd order arrives wrong again & missing item from 1st order still wasn't sent to me.

I had a taste of local food (Amala and abula), just like I'll in Nigeria. The meat surrounded food like mountain and I love that the amala is hot.

Wrong order in which they gave me something I’m allergic to and the egusi was just oily had an off taste, wanted to get a refund for my incorrect item I couldn’t do so as they never gave me an order receipt very unprofessional

I go to Lolak whenever I crave the naija buka experience! Kai! It never disappoints. Their abula is from heaven. Hot!!! With just the right amount of spicy!!!!! The assorted is just heavenly, soft, succulent, tasty, and just melts in your mouth! I always pair it with a chilled bottle of Fanta. Omoooooooo! If you haven't been to Lolak... you haven't experienced abula in the UK. Their fresh fish is to die for! Only my mother makes tilapia that delicious. The price is also a plus as it's ultra affordable! Combine that with their great customer service, and you have the ultimate Lagos buka experience... simply fantastic! I will always go back for their wide variety of lagos food- and always take away a plate of something else. 😍😍😍😍😍

I got Amala and gbegiri with assorted meats, while my husband got yam porriage and kpanla fish. non of this food I mention was fresh all tasted bad. I am a lover of meat but I could not eat meat for the first time. To make matter worse I travelled 2 hours to come eat this food.

So , nine of us went to eat here because we wanted something out of the normal and wanted to celebrate a mile stone but what we got was terrible. There was just one server and he was overworked, he came to get orders and still had to dish the food for everyone, too much work for only him. We ordered for amala and abula, the food came and the size was enormous but the moment I put my hand inside the amala, the was problem, the amala was hard and cold, the ewedu soup was looking navy blue, like something that has been warmed severally but the meat was soft and good. Over night, everyone started visiting the toilet and I had to reach out to others and realised all nine of us purged for about 24hours, thank God it wasn’t more than that because it could have been worse, we could have died.

Visited this restaurant based on recommendation from a friend. Always enjoy my Abula with assorted meat. To be fair I am a very precise eater. My food came out cold and that was a huge turn off already for me. I like the restaurant because they have various items on the menu, also drink and snacks. My sister enjoyed it alot but for me I would give it a 6/10
