Decided to visit on sunday for lunch . It was the first time going here for some time (the last time was about 5 years ago and it wasn't good experience at all ) but we were pleasantly surprised . The new management and staff are doing a good job . The building/decor could do with a bit of a spruce up ..However the staff are all lovely and polite despite being very busy , and the food was pretty good too ! Well done .

A good brewers fayre. You know what the offer is, but this pub was a bit above the average. Nice welcome on a busy Sunday. We booked tables and arrived a bit early. This pub does a superb carvery which is good value. Decent portions and refills on veg. My wife's veg was a bit cold in places ( plates vould have been warmer) but overall she loved the carvery. Friendly staff all round. Would recommend and return. Ps. if you have table rable card you can use it here to build points ( we had discount offer we used on the day so it's definitely worth building up.

Impromptu stop for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was fully booked for carvery, but the team advised us we could order from the usual menu in the bar area. This was perfect for us, so we went with this plan. Food arrived in a reasonable time, considering the busy nature of the venue. Clean plates all round and no complaints. Average prices for standard pub chain food. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Some could have used some updated uniforms, which would enable a better visual presentation. It is a family-friendly eating establishment, so be prepared for lots of background noise.

We ordered the children's food from the kids menu, their desert arrived before they had even had their starters. When their spaghetti finally came, it was stone cold and frozen in the middle. The table was never cleared and we had to go and ask for desert to come out and still took a very long time! My son and I shared a sundae from the adult menu. That night we were both very very ill, vomitting with food poisoning! We believe this to be from the cream. This is our second time trying to eat at the Brewers Fayre in Weymouth and the second time we left unable to order any food... This time it was because they only had one chef on and would only accept pre booked tables, although the pub was virtually empty and the couple before us had clearly not booked but got a table... Hard one to judge really, it's a seaside location, and we went in the peak of the summer, We had three breakfasts over a long weekend, and each day, there was a shortage of plates, which meant a queue and a wait for a plate, before a queue and a wait for buffet style food. I'm assuming the business has either a small bottom line, or a previous problem with food waste, as the food didn't come out in particularly large quantities, so would run out almost as fast as it came out, so that almost meant lots of people hanging around with half a plate of food, waiting for other items to come out. Food was nice though,

A family then came in and were told they couldn't have a table or eat until 12, but could book one for then and wait in the bar! About what you'd expect really, the quality was 'ok' - not exceptional. Started off feeling cheap but ended up spending nearly £7-80 for 2 adults and 2 kids and it was alcohol free drinks! Tried to do us out of one corn on the cob saying that the 2 sides were one cob and something else, but the menu clearly states that one side is '2 corn on the cob'. Garlic bread felt expensive. TWO slices TWO. For £4. So if the kids want garlic bread you are looking at the 2/3 of the price of the entire kids menu on garlic bread and they weren't that great. Also the kids pizza is small. Have cut a deal with my son wrt to pizza and kids menus following the tiny portion .

Without doubt the worst carvery I’ve ever had. The gammon option wasn’t an option, the “roast” potatoes were deep fried to the point where the inside was just full of oil and the outside were as if made of stone. The parsnips weren’t any better either. Again they were deep fried to a very overdone state. The meat was not carved, it was cut into chunks. Cauliflower undercooked and the peas overcooked. All in all, a very poor effort.

We have had the pleasure at spending a couple of days in Weymouth and have visited this pub as it was close to our accommodation. The Morning staff are lovely and the breakfast you can have is worth the money, it is cooked well and there is a good variety and you can go back for seconds 👍. The evening staff seem to be a little bit disorganised. We ordered the Smothered chicken platter x2 with other meals also, but it arrived different with the excuse we have ran out of steak. They did not tell us at the time of ordering so they chose what we wanted, but they did rectify it once we said it was wrong with the option to change it. The pizzas are a little greasy but we’re ok. The bread that came with the prawn cocktail was stale with the edges turned up. They did rectify this when asked. It just meant we ate at different times. On the Bar side we were told they had ran out of Stella and Carling with the bar staff giving Coors as they said it was the same as Carling. It turned out to be Coors light. It is not the same. The next Bar staff member then pulled a pint of Carling. ???? The staff member blamed that the manager had told her the beer was off but did not offer to replace it. The Coors was destroyed at our expense. It may have just been one of those nights. I’m sure this pub will be good or could be better just with a little better communication to the evening staff.

We were staying in Weymouth on holiday so visited The Lodmoor for their buffet breakfast option (£10.99 per adult, kids eat free during the summer holidays) and I certainly got my monies worth! Good was great and plenty of options, but staff weren’t good at meeting demand, tables were left uncleared and bins were overflowing. Additionally, although they were friendly and polite, they didn’t ask for our Brewers Fayre membership card and when we said about it, they said it was too late to do anything, though they could have refunded and reprocessed the sale. We then waited another 20 mins after finishing our starters for mains and 5 mins after the mains came out the desserts came out so we sent them back. When we were finishing our mains o asked for the desserts to be boxed to take home and we waited another 45 mins for the puddings. Also 3 things which we ordered we were later told after waiting 30 min for it that it wasn’t available. Why let us order it if it isn’t available. Food took over an hour to arrive, after being told "it is being served up now" when questioning the staff, we had to wait an additional 20minutes and had to complain again. When food arrived it was very dissapointing, was either burnt or stone cold. Other parties around us was experiencing same issues as us, with one having their order lost after an hour and 30minute wait. Would of just got up and left had you not had to pay when placing your order before eating.

Really enjoyed my visit to the Lodmoor Brewers Fayre, lovely atmosphere and amazing staff. Upon entry the staff were so polite and welcoming. The kitchen catered to my special health requirements and even offered additions for my pregnant girlfriend. Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the area.

We attended The Lodmoor for a family meal. Our order got lost, after an hour of waiting my wife went to enquire. The staff were lovely and helpful, but we were very dissapointed with the delays and overall mediocre quality of our meal. Staff were lovely, but I wouldn't recommend.

I came in on Sunday with my husband and inlaws to try the cavery. We are local to Weymouth and haven’t visited in a long time, however friends of ours had told us it was now under new management and definitely worth a visit. We couldn’t fault the meal. The meat was so tender, lovely selection of potatoes and veg and the gravy was delicious. All for such a good price we each had a pudding each, which again was good value and so tasty. The staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again soon.

We stay four nights at the Premier Inn next door and had the meal deal, on Thursday 18th booked and arrived at six o'clock and ordered our drinks main and sweet, the mains took some time to come, at 7.15 I asked for our sweet and after enquiring about it twice it turned up at 8.10. We got out at 8.30 two and a half hour after we arrived. Not very good, quite a number of other dinners all had issues with the speed of the service and the excuse was that they were busy but I would suggest the place was only half full. Clearly they have a very serious issue and does not bode well for the holiday season. The sever who had to face the customers was very polite and I felt that poor management put her in a very difficult position. So if you have a young family, want a meal early, or something quick go somewhere else or you may find yourself overstaying the parking time limit.

I’m surprised to read some of the bad reviews but we can all only give opinions based on our own opinions. We had 4 evening meals there around a week ago and enjoyed every one. The staff were friendly and the place looked clean to us. Yes, you could wait a while to get a drink as it appeared that only one till was in use - so if you ordered drinks you had to wait until families had ordered their meals first before you could pay for your drinks. So a few efficiency changes would certainly help. Overall though we enjoyed our time there.

Dire… avoid, avoid, avoid! We waited an hour and a half for food that never came. Restaurant not busy, apparently one of the chefs had walked out. No-one came to apologise, we went back to the bar to ask where the food was 3 times. Would have been gnawing on the table leg if it wasn’t so filthy… windowsill covered in insects and cobwebs all over the windows. We got a refund and left, went home via the chippy!

Waited for 45 mins after ordering food was quite. When food arrived we only had half of what we ordered. Over cooked burnt food, and cold place needs cleaning got told they were under staffed. Would not recommend. Prices are too expensive for what we received should be a 1/3 of a price we paid. Not very nice would not go back or recommend. Parking is expensive to be told 3 hours free parking the place needs a makeover and to hire more staff cut prices down as not worth it

Last week we were staying at the Premier Inn next door to this pub. We tried to have dinner on 3 Jul but were told that there was a wait of 1 hour for food. we went elsewhere. Luckily because talking to other diners at breakfast the following morning they had actually waited 1hr 45 mins! Breakfast was a disaster. Tables were not cleaned. There were no bowls, cups or plates. Quite lucky really because there was no hot food available anyway. Two of us ordered porridge which turned up 15 mins later and was inedible. It was dry and hard, more the texture of a flapjack. We sent it back and the 2nd attempt was marginally better. The hot food, when it did come out, was Luke warm. We complained and were given a full refund but we ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay. I think that the staff were trying as hard as they could but there were not enough of them and the manager was not allowed to recruit more because a local pub had shut and the company were hoping to transfer staff from that pub at some point in time.

Waited an hour and a half for food, queue to order was long. They didn't have one of the groups choices and I had to head back to the table to ask for an alternative. When I got back I had lost my place in the queue and had to wait again. Drinks machine out of most things and everything diet though they don't tell you. Water machine not working either. When food arrived, lasagne was burnt and had a warm salad with it (like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for a hour). There wasn't any garlic bread so they substituted onion rings! Plus a couple of the hardest and curries half pieces of bread possible, no butter of course. Fish pie had some rank grey fish in it and served peas as hard as bullets. Tikka was OK. Money back but would have preferred a nice, timely, dinner.

The food was fine and the bartenders & servers were lovely, but there definitely seemed to be an issue with understaffing. Both times I was there, staff were struggling to keep up with customers. Something for management to look into RE hiring more people to help them out!

After an hour, driver rang to say she couldn't find my address. I gave her very clear directions, as she claimed she was outside. Still nothing. Dominoes said they were going to ring the driver, but still no order. After several phone calls still nothing. No food and no refund. Absolutely avoid

Cakes are all fresh and lovely, Dorset Apple Cake was delicious and a generous portion given. Coffee was good. 2 points to bear in mind….. 1. Don’t forget when ordering your drinks that sugar is not given. I had to go back to the counter and queue for a few minutes only to ask for sugar, they only offered one satchet but I asked for four…….Times must be hard…..lol 2. No cash is allowed, card only. Apart from that it is a nice atmosphere and lovely views outside.
