Absolutely awful from taking order to leaving. Poor menu things not available. No organisation. One of our group finished her meal before we got served. My scampi was Luke warm but ate it as was with friends. Worried was going to get bad stomach. No peppercorn sauce left ! Asked if wanted tin peas or garden peas and could not even get that right. S... show from start to finish. Would have been funny as a slap stick comedy!

Hard one to judge really, it's a seaside location, and we went in the peak of the summer, We had three breakfasts over a long weekend, and each day, there was a shortage of plates, which meant a queue and a wait for a plate, before a queue and a wait for buffet style food. I'm assuming the business has either a small bottom line, or a previous problem with food waste, as the food didn't come out in particularly large quantities, so would run out almost as fast as it came out, so that almost meant lots of people hanging around with half a plate of food, waiting for other items to come out. Food was nice though,

We popped into this place on a hot day for a cold coke after a round of pirate golf (which was good fun) The place had just opened (11:30) so was empty. The manager said he would get someone to serve us, he didn't. After waiting a good 5 or 6 minutes I asked a guy walking about behind the bar. He said he couldnt serve us as he wasn't at work yet?? A family then came in and were told they couldn't have a table or eat until 12, but could book one for then and wait in the bar! (still empty) Tip for this place, if your not ready for customers, don't open the doors!! We left and found a nice cafe over the road on the sea front. 👍 😂

For the 3 of us we had, haddock and chips, chicken salad and a Pepperoni pizza. £40. Not bad for a early evening dinner. Food quality was ok and food portions are not generous but based on the price it is just about acceptable

Spent a week locally and enjoyed breakfast here daily and some evening meals too. For breakfast there was plenty of choice available- yoghurts, fresh fruits, cereals, pancakes, croissants and pastries, juices, toast with a great selection of topping and of course a full English breakfast. We couldn’t fault the food and even though it was a popular place we were always welcomed and never felt rushed. Staff were on hand and helpful.

So disappointing. No fish for two days. No orange juice, eggs or pastries at breakfast. Long queue to order evening meal, waited 45 minutes and it was just warm when it came. Staff apologetic and had free desert as I didn’t want to wait for food to be cooked again as we had small grandchildren with us. Staying at Premier Inn and no alternative to eat in close walking proximity. Needs better organisation of staff as those taking food orders at bar are also making the drinks. Could be so much better.

About what you'd expect really, the quality was 'ok' - not exceptional. Started off feeling cheap but ended up spending nearly £7-80 for 2 adults and 2 kids and it was alcohol free drinks! Tried to do us out of one corn on the cob saying that the 2 sides were one cob and something else, but the menu clearly states that one side is '2 corn on the cob'. Garlic bread felt expensive. TWO slices TWO. For £4. So if the kids want garlic bread you are looking at the 2/3 of the price of the entire kids menu on garlic bread and they weren't that great. Also the kids pizza is small. Have cut a deal with my son wrt to pizza and kids menus following the tiny portion .

Without doubt the worst carvery I’ve ever had. The gammon option wasn’t an option, the “roast” potatoes were deep fried to the point where the inside was just full of oil and the outside were as if made of stone. The parsnips weren’t any better either. Again they were deep fried to a very overdone state. The meat was not carved, it was cut into chunks. Cauliflower undercooked and the peas overcooked. All in all, a very poor effort.

We went here for a weekday lunch as a family of 8. We had booked to eat at 12:45, but we had to wait over an hour for our food. They restaurant is very busy, and we were told there would be a wait when we arrived, but when there are families with small children, over an hour is really a very long wait! We were then missing some of our food items when it finally arrived so had to chase that up. The staff who served us were very friendly, but the service time really needs some work.

We have had the pleasure at spending a couple of days in Weymouth and have visited this pub as it was close to our accommodation. The Morning staff are lovely and the breakfast you can have is worth the money, it is cooked well and there is a good variety and you can go back for seconds 👍. The evening staff seem to be a little bit disorganised. We ordered the Smothered chicken platter x2 with other meals also, but it arrived different with the excuse we have ran out of steak. They did not tell us at the time of ordering so they chose what we wanted, but they did rectify it once we said it was wrong with the option to change it. The pizzas are a little greasy but we’re ok. The bread that came with the prawn cocktail was stale with the edges turned up. They did rectify this when asked. It just meant we ate at different times. On the Bar side we were told they had ran out of Stella and Carling with the bar staff giving Coors as they said it was the same as Carling. It turned out to be Coors light. It is not the same. The next Bar staff member then pulled a pint of Carling. ???? The staff member blamed that the manager had told her the beer was off but did not offer to replace it. The Coors was destroyed at our expense. It may have just been one of those nights. I’m sure this pub will be good or could be better just with a little better communication to the evening staff.

VISIT DATE: FRI 26/07/2024 VISIT TIME: 09:30 - 11:00 The Brewers Fayre chain offers great value meals at all times of day. We were staying in Weymouth on holiday so visited The Lodmoor for their buffet breakfast option (£10.99 per adult, kids eat free during the summer holidays) and I certainly got my monies worth! Good was great and plenty of options, but staff weren’t good at meeting demand, tables were left uncleared and bins were overflowing. Additionally, although they were friendly and polite, they didn’t ask for our Brewers Fayre membership card and when we said about it, they said it was too late to do anything, though they could have refunded and reprocessed the sale. Staff advise booking in aggravate as they are always very busy, especially during the holidays.

Waited over 45mins for starters to come out and was told that it was an hours wait when I asked where the food was which hadn’t been said when ordering otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. We then waited another 20 mins after finishing our starters for mains and 5 mins after the mains came out the desserts came out so we sent them back. When we were finishing our mains o asked for the desserts to be boxed to take home and we waited another 45 mins for the puddings. Also 3 things which we ordered we were later told after waiting 30 min for it that it wasn’t available. Why let us order it if it isn’t available. I just think that the communications between the staff wasn’t there. Plus the staff were huffy and puffy like they didn’t want be there. We stay four nights at the Premier Inn next door and had the meal deal, on Thursday 18th booked and arrived at six o'clock and ordered our drinks main and sweet, the mains took some time to come, at 7.15 I asked for our sweet and after enquiring about it twice it turned up at 8.10. We got out at 8.30 two and a half hour after we arrived. Not very good, quite a number of other dinners all had issues with the speed of the service and the excuse was that they were busy but I would suggest the place was only half full. Clearly they have a very serious issue and does not bode well for the holiday season. The sever who had to face the customers was very polite and I felt that poor management put her in a very difficult position. So if you have a young family, want a meal early, or something quick go somewhere else or you may find yourself overstaying the parking time limit.

I’m surprised to read some of the bad reviews but we can all only give opinions based on our own opinions. We had 4 evening meals there around a week ago and enjoyed every one. The staff were friendly and the place looked clean to us. Yes, you could wait a while to get a drink as it appeared that only one till was in use - so if you ordered drinks you had to wait until families had ordered their meals first before you could pay for your drinks. So a few efficiency changes would certainly help. Overall though we enjoyed our time there.

When I got back I had lost my place in the queue and had to wait again. Drinks machine out of most things and everything diet though they don't tell you. Water machine not working either. When food arrived, lasagne was burnt and had a warm salad with it (like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for a hour). There wasn't any garlic bread so they substituted onion rings! Plus a couple of the hardest and curries half pieces of bread possible, no butter of course. Fish pie had some rank grey fish in it and served peas as hard as bullets. Tikka was OK. Last week we were staying at the Premier Inn next door to this pub. We tried to have dinner on 3 Jul but were told that there was a wait of 1 hour for food. we went elsewhere. Luckily because talking to other diners at breakfast the following morning they had actually waited 1hr 45 mins! Breakfast was a disaster. Tables were not cleaned. There were no bowls, cups or plates. Quite lucky really because there was no hot food available anyway. Two of us ordered porridge which turned up 15 mins later and was inedible. It was dry and hard, more the texture of a flapjack. We sent it back and the 2nd attempt was marginally better. The hot food, when it did come out, was Luke warm. We complained and were given a full refund but we ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay. I think that the staff were trying as hard as they could but there were not enough of them and the manager was not allowed to recruit more because a local pub had shut and the company were hoping to transfer staff from that pub at some point in time.

Absolutely appalling service. We booked breakfast with our stay at Premier Inn. The girl at the restaurant reception was extremely rude and clearly had no clue what she was doing. After trying to convince her we had breakfast paid for (she tried making us pay again), showing our hotel reservation and standing by the door for 10 minutes, she eventually told us to just “sit anywhere and help ourselves”. All the tables were dirty, not a single table had been cleaned after the previous guests. There were NO CLEAN PLATES, let alone cutlery. They were out of most of the food, just empty hot and cold bars. This was only 08:15 am, not towards the end of breakfast times. Not even busy in there to justify the mess. Luckily, the Premier Inn receptionists took our request for a full refund for the breakfast. We had breakfast behind the hotel at Weymouth Bay Coffee Co and had a much better experience.

The food and service in the pub was fine, no problems. The issue is that as you go in the front door there is a sign saying 3 hours free parking if you put your registration number in. What it doesn't tell you is that the free parking is in the premier inn car park and not the car park adjacent to the pub. Be aware if you park here as to where you park otherwise you will get a hefty parking ticket. The sign on the front door does not mention that it is the premier inn at the back of the pub that's free. Brewers fayre did not want to know, or care about our ticket or that their sign is wrong.

I was very disappointed with my experience at lodmoor today. I went there for dinner with my partner and we were turned away when we tried to make a walk-in reservation. The hostess told us that they were "too busy" and that we couldn't get seated. I was surprised by this, as the restaurant didn't seem to be that busy. There were only a very few other tables occupied, and there were plenty of open seats. I found this to be very unprofessional and rude. However, not long after, I saw on the restaurant's website that they were accepting online bookings for the same time and plenty of spaces during and after that we had tried to walk-in. This made me even more angry, as it showed that they were clearly not too busy to seat us. They were just choosing to prioritize online bookings over walk-ins. I would not recommend lodmoor to anyone. The restaurant refused to accept walk-ins, lied about the restaurant being busy, and then accepted online bookings. The experience was unprofessional, rude, and discriminatory. Rating: 1 out of 5 stars Overall: I would not recommend lodmoor to anyone. Walked 20 minutes to restaurant and denied access as not pre booked! Taxied back into town to Whetherspoons, should have gone there in the first place. Lodmoor had no notices saying pre bookings only. We were a party of six and also saw another three parties of two turned away whilst tables remained empty! Customer service sucks and business sense they don’t have any!

Parking in the carpark is extortionate. On the walk for the carpark to the pub it states multiple times ‘have you paid and displayed. It’s only after you walk up to the door do you find out that you can have 3 hours free parking by entering your reg plate. You can’t see the door from the road. Stood at the ‘wait here to be seated’ desk for about 10mins before the bar man told us to find a seat and order your meal at the bar. We arrived at 16:15. We went to the bar to order to be told that the kitchen is now closed until 5pm. Why didn’t the barman tell us at the time? Excuse…they’re under staffed. The place is filthy. Food on the floor. Menus covered in sauces. Chairs need replacing, all ripped and tatty. Cobwebs everywhere, After ordering, food arrived after 25 mins. I had the smothered platter, parts were overcooked and tough. The steak we asked to be medium-well, when it arrived it was on the rarer side of medium-rare. Staff were very friendly. It’s not their fault but this place needs a massive overhaul asap…before the holiday season truly kicks in.

Didn’t actually experience the food but walked in and waited for a good 5 minutes with people walking past before anyone acknowledged us, some woman came out from the back room and told us they didn’t have any tables. It was about half 7 and the place wasn’t even half full. Won’t go back just based on the customer service we received

Worst chips I’ve been served in my life, soggy and old, look liked they were old warmed up chips from yesterday. Cheeseburger loaded fries were rank.

Waited an hour and a half for food before being told they forgot my order. Then they said they’ll put it on the express service so I can get my food quicker but it’s currently 30 minutes later and still waiting! 2 hours wasted in this dump. Never coming back. And to top things off, they charged me £15 for a cheese and onion pie and some juice! Rip off!

Waited over an hour and my food didn’t arrive. Went to the to ask what was happening and then they said they had missed it and will bring it out as an “Express”. 20 minutes late I was fed up and requested a refund. Don’t bother going here. Explains why the place barely had anyone inside.

Filthy hole. The management here, need sacking. There was hardly any staff and the ones that were there, were poor at best. Tables remained uncleared and uncleared for up to an hour. I ordered my family's food and was told there was a 40 minute wait. An hour and a half later, our microwavable starters arrived. Another 50 mins later the mains arrived. Staff left the bar unmanned so couldn't even enquire as to where the food was. This place needs a mystery visit from the brewery. Possibly the worst service and the worst meal me and my family have ever had.

To start with this is the only place I have ever been to that rings last orders at 9 pm. It is in desperate need of a refurb, curtains hanging off the rails and dirty carpets. The service was hit and miss, a few staff were friendly and helpful, others rude and didn't seem to care about customer service. There is a sign as you go in telling you to wait to be seated, if you did that you'd be there forever.

Just needed a hot drink and having a look round for perhaps a future premier inn stay. Won't be staying. 'Haven't any decaf' I said other premier inns have sachets of them. She did go across and came back with some. Paid for a tea and a coffee £6.50 (it's refillable) then found that there was no 'basic' variety of tea so had to ask again. She said there was some, we couldn't see it, neither could she when she came across- she found it in a cupboard. She then also filled up the empty sugar/sweeteners up Then we had to ask for milk sachets but we was directed to a jug stood on a refrigerated shelf, (top and handle needed a wipe.) Felt very awkward having to ask for everything for a DIY drink that cost £3.25! Female toilets (both sides of pub) had out of order toilets and the others having lots of toilet paper down them and no soap. This was 12 noon and only 7 other people here. Disabled toilet had soap but also had blue paper towels in it. Kids play area 'closed due to unforeseen reasons' (we didn't want it thistime but was looking round for other family members) All chair tops in particular very dirty and seats all cracked. Whole place needs a good clean and is very grubby, dark and dingy.

It really needed more staff and more food as a pub however Liam saved the visit from a much lower number of stars. X
