Popped in here for a sandwich whilst I waited for my for my appointment. Expecting to have a nice simple chilled cheese and onion sandwich I was met with a warm, slightly stale sandwich with the cheese on the verge of melting. Obviously no one had checked the fridge to make sure it was actually working. Whilst eating my probably not food safety safe sandwich I was looking around and couldn’t help but notice all of the hand written, classroom type signs, some of which were a bit worse for wear. I think some had been up for so long they started to look a bit mouldy. Shame really because as far as hospital cafes go, the interior of this one is actually quite nice. On a plus note I had a raspberry ripple slice which was absolutely delightful. Unfortunately I did not get time to raise my concerns with staff as they weren’t to be seen and I was going to be late for my appointment.

I went in midmorning for a coffee (tasted burnt) and a slice of cake (dry as if been on display since last Tuesday) and was appalled by the entire waiting staffs attitudes. Just as I thought it couldn't get any worse, I witnessed a member of staff asking a young woman to leave before even finishing her beverage to make room for 4 women with 'takeaway' drinks. But what really left a sour taste in my mouth is that the waitress actually ushered them to sit at the table before she had even time to get her things together. My partner and I did not leave a tip, and nor shall we returning.

I meet my Business Mentor here fortnightly and it's always been a pleasure. The coffee is good and the food very quick to come. There is lots of space to sit, yet it's always buzzing with lots of people. They are revamping their restrooms which is great and you can always book to see a show etc here.

Lovely halloumi wrap, a bit more salad garnish would have been nice. The brie bagel went down well as did the club sandwiches.

From the moment we contacted the Lodge Cafe about catering for our daughters Christening back in December, David and his team were extremely helpful right up until the function itself. The variety and quality of food was excellent, so much so that I don't think there was much food left!! Thanks again David for making our special occasion such a success.

Took my kids for lunch at the lodge coffee shop. Food was excellent, friendly staff and plenty of space for the kids to run about. Will be back!

Love this place, doesn’t matter if it’s for a friendly catch up or a business meeting. The atmosphere is just right. Friendly staff and good quality products, with a personal touch that you just don’t get in the high street chains.

The lodge coffee shop has always been one of my favourite places to enjoy a coffee and on the odd occasion enjoy their homemade cake. We used to visit their shops regularly when they were in Sevenoaks and was devastated to find out that they would no longer be there due to unforeseen circumstances. Im so happy to discover that David and his team have found a new residence and can yet again serve what I regard as "the best coffee around". I think it is testament to David and team that not only do they produce a delicious menu, they do it with a warming attitude. Go out of your way to visit The Lodge Coffee Shop

The Lodge provides a great spot to do a few emails whilst the kids are at dance! Their coffee and treat selection always hits the spot with fatigued mothers.

Lovely coffee served by very friendly staff in a pleasant location. Cakes always look tasty (and are covered by a glass dome to keep flyes and germs off - big plus!). Seating is well arranged for a cosy coffee or a bite to eat and you do not feel like the other tables are too near you (so you can have a private conversation). Loads of indoor seating and also seats outside in the courtyard garden for warmer days. Convenient parking opposite (chargable) and only a short walk from town centre and East Court.

We popped in here for a quick lunch as we hadn't tried it before . It wasn't busy and we had the pick of the tables. Good menu with a choice of sandwiches, panning, salads, jackets and also a breakfast menu available all day. My mum and I plumped for the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup which were delicious and my niece had a cheese and onion toastie. With drinks it was not expensive and friendly service. We will visit again.

The Cafe [was the Pavilion Cafe] has recently been taken over by new owners and they have made some changes for the better. If the weather is pleasant and warm there is a secure large expanse of lawn for children to play safely while their family and friends enjoy a social. Many Mums and babies use it as a meeting place. I find it super to grab a coffee and read a paper. Maybe grab a slice of cake. Parking is easy and only £1.20 for two hours. They often have Art Shows set aside in a large room and of course the theatre that seats over three hundred is all part of it. All other facilities are excellent.

Getting Off the train at Brighton railway station you will see this excellent cafe/Restaurant. We came here last year and it was just as friendly & welcoming as before..Plenty of seats and tables with a friendly staff. Our Lattes were tasty & delightful.. Well worth a visit.

Not worth the money, I wanted to treat myself as I was working a very long day, ordered my favourite Chai tea latte, and an almond croissant. There were some people in front of me, and 4 people behind the counter, it was about 1/2 before closing time Sunday afternoon. I went an waited for my tea and had the croissant, two people were obviously cleaning and tidying up, only actually preparing the orders, which one was apparently a very big order of cold drinks. I thought I would enjoy the croissant while I waited, it turned out to be utterly dry and not nice and no almond filling inside. I had two mouthful and put it in the bin, I waited for my tea and waited for my, there were still only one person making the orders, so I left with a very bad taste of not being serviced, as there was still 4 people behind the counter, but not 4 people service the customers. Priorities looked very off.

The food here is delicious and it’s amazing to find so many vegan options that also taste lovely. The Bronuts are inspired! Worth a visit alone. The kitchen opening times are a bit hit and miss which can be frustrating. The staff are very friendly. The decor is pleasant although the music can be too loud and distracting. The only change that could make it better would be if it opened all day especially at weekends.

I'd never visited before. I despise Tim whatever his name is for backing the UK ruining Brexit, and I assumed everyone in any Wetherspoons would be of his viewpoint so I've stayed away. However, I realise that was stupid, and actually I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Service was very fast. Drinks are ridiculously cheap. Two pints and a coke for the same price as a pint almost in Brighton. People who were eating looked happy enough with their food, again, cheap. And the best thing of all was that it was full of people enjoying themselves, where as most pubs are empty. I'll be going back. Easy to reserve a table, spaciously laid out, bar staff were stressed but polite, toilets were clean, place was clean. Nothing to complain about really.
