I visit here nearly every week, usually for breakfast which is always delicious, perfectly cooked and a generous portion, I now only buy my sausages and bacon from the farm shop next door. Great service from friendly staff.

The breakfast here was . . . . interesting. Fried egg was burnt. Sausage was raw in the middle with acold, mushy texture. When I complained I was given an 'oh well' and asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Won;t be going back.

Went for breakfast today. I ordered a sausage sandwich and whilst the bread was good, the sausage was terrible. Cold in the middle and no flavour. Full of non meat filler. When I complained I was told ‘they come from the butcher here’. Disgusting. Won’t be visiting here again.

I recently visited this little gem with some of my Sunday biker mates. It's quite basic in terms of seating and ambience but I must say the food is very nice and served hot which is always nice. It's always a bonus to have nice personable staff serving and when they recognise their customers it just adds to your overall experience. It'll definitely stay on our breakfast list for future stops.

I cannot recommend this little cafe and farm highly enough. It does get busy during school holidays but the food is really good quality and well cooked. I've had the all day breakfast a few times and I thought it was the best I'd had in years; great ingredients. The farm is good for young children too.The staff are lovely and helpful. Well worth a visit if you're passing!!!I didn't find it pricy at all, especially when you compare with other cafes in the area; in local garden centres for example.

I've only had omelettes here but they have been very good - piping hot served with salad. Coffees are good and the range of cookies and cakes interesting. Well worth a stop if you visit the farm with the kids or stop to buy something in the farmer's market. The butcher is great!!

Went to shop, thought we'd grab breakfast. Very busy. Long wait for food and expensive. To make matters worse you now have to pay a ridiculous fee to entertain the kids.

Passing today and thought we would stop as the signs are small and easily missed. Reasonable farm shop and butchers offering good quality meats and bbq options. To the side there is then the cafe where I had one of the best brown crusty bread chicken and bacon sandwiches I have had for a long time. Served with a small salad and crisps. Coffees are ok but adequate. If you have children there is an outside picnic and play area which is ideal on a sunny day. Easy access and parking. Well worth trying. Plse like my write up if this helped.

Stopped here on an off chance as it was advertising coffee. It is in fact a full breakfast café serving traditional English breakfast along with sandwiches and pastries,We had coffees and teas and bacon rolls. Does not get any better. It's a order at the counter seat yourself type of place. Very clean and surprisingly quick service. You sit overlooking the farm so please views. Ample parking. Not much to fault.https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186363-d4097267-r564785858-Lockey_Farm-Reading_Berkshire_England.html#

Great place for a spot of lunch on a Saturday! I stayed for a few after and got chatting to the staff and regulars for well beyond what I'd planned to.

My wife and I saw an advert on our local community group saying this establishment was doing very good fish and chips for take away. On the group site people were saying this cost £7:50 each for fish&chips but you had to order in advance. My wife wife placed an order and on the other end of the phone it sounded like an old lady taking the order, she was very abrupt and wasn’t listening to what was being asked and just kept talking over what my wife was trying to ask. Anyway we eventually placed our order. When we arrived to pick it up my wife went into the side entrance and went to pay, the old lady was quite rude and said it was £8:50 each, when my wife said that on the local page it everyone was saying £7:50. She just brushed it off and said she didn’t know about that, my wife only had £15 in cash and as we had only ordered for 2 this is all she had. There were dogs running around the area as well not very hygienic. The price appears to change depending on who you are as my wife went back to the local group and the members are still saying they pay £7:50. First and last time using this pub takeaway the fish and chips were a small portion for the price.

Fab location on riverfront, sadly the weekend staff lack an understanding of customer service - I have never ever been told an item costs ' a quid' instead of a pound in the UK - dire and terrible. I know teenagers can be surly and short but please, do not put them in front of customers, if they cannot use grammar correctly. I have worked in customer service all my life and HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD my drink costs 2 'quid', not even a please ! Maybe at a fairground or a market, but not in an establishment such as as this in a yachting marina ! First and last visit. Shame as I would have recommend this place.

We went for Sunday lunch because it was recommended. On arrival we were told that the roast had rosemary on the potatoes, vegetables and possibly the gravy, this was not mentioned on the menu. My friend cannot eat rosemary, she had fish and chips which she did not enjoy. I didn’t have beef because rump is not a roasting joint, I suspect that the beef was not cooked on site, from what I saw someone else eating. I had the pork belly. I have had this elsewhere and I cook it so I know that it can be tender. The belly was two thirds fat, the meat was pink at one end, I did not eat any of the meat. The cost for one lump of very fatty belly was extortionate. The ‘roast’ potatoes were oily externally and internally. I ate them because I was hungry, I had indigestion for 24 hours. The root vegetables were uninteresting with a lump of various greens at the the bottom of a small pot. Much better to have fewer vegetables and better presented. The manager was very considerate and wanted to hear my views. He did not charge us for the meal,, although I offered to pay. The Yorkshire pudding was huge, crispy, and cold. I will not return for a roast. The staff were very good. The room became cold because the fire went out, that was quickly relit by a member of staff.
