Comida apropiada. Non you sauce sh**e. Podrás saborear los mariscos de la forma en que deben ser. No podía estar más de acuerdo.

Visit regularly for skye whelks and mussels. The ladies serving in the shop are lovely. Was going to the Tron Panto and decided to sit in and have garlic mussels and they were Devine. Having had mussels recently in a restaurant for double the price I have to say these were far superior. Will definitely be sitting in more often going forward

Very disappointed this place is not what it used to be . Mussels straight out of water you used to be able to order different kinds ,garlic for example. Also no shellfish on menu was an absolute disappointment .we are not always in Glasgow because we live in Annan. The interior of the old shop was a touch of the old glasgow more atmosphere than now .New owners ? Have made a big mistake.

Was there early July got three large bags to carry out found them to be large and fresh. On that day they had renovations going on and the lady did her best at keeping the small line of people getting served quickly. Will be back it’s part of Glasgow life

Never again. I travel to Glasgow every 8 or so weeks, just for a day away. Always get whelks and mussels from loch fyne. Last time they were sub standard, tonight the 2 bags of mussels are in the bin. Tried 2. Dry and no taste. As for the whelks. Awful. Just looked at others reviews, not good. Loch fyne take note

Totally shocked to see the new look of the cafe ! What were the owners / new owners thinking . They have just ripped out one of Glasgow best cafes and turn it into a glitzy shellfish bar ? I’ve posted photos of the old look, thank god I kept them . On the food side I can’t comment as I simply walked back out - so disappointed !

Come on guys this is not a bad review. Been raving to my family as my sister took me there for my Saturday treat for years and years when the baras were the baras. However today whelks were so bland full of barniculs tasteless lacking salt full of mini crabs like we always got a few. Really lacking a touch of salt. Mussels so overcooked. Spent my afternoon and I am still doing it now praising what a fantastic place this was to visit.

Take a wee trip in here every couple of months and have never been disappointed. Mussels are clean and always perfect. Normally but the family bag to takeaway after having a big plate of mussels in the shop.

This shellfish cafe is located on the edge of the Barras and offers a range of fresh Scottish shellfish. We look forward to eating huge bowls of mussels in garlic sauce, reminding me of similar meals in France. The cafe is basic but that adds to the atmosphere. We make sure we visit every time we are in Scotland.

Food was oily however portion was HUGE. I ordered two fish cause i thought its gonna be small. I’d suggest for one person, 1 fish is enough. Bit tasteless. However food was served quick and no issue.

Asked for a chicken kebab, was given a cold donner. The craftsmanship meant the food spilled out of the wrap straight out of the foil. I paid £5.20 to immediately throw a poorly wrapped, cold kebab in the bin. Where is the justice?

Cafe review - organic coffee and tea. Nice cake display. Reasonably priced. Like the fact that some of the price goes to farmers in Sri Lanka.
