Nunca me volví allí incluso gratis.

! Disfrute

Visited with a few friends for afternoon tea early Feb. The views of London are great, but there is absolutely nothing great about the afternoon tea, the 'cant be bothered' service or the actual venue. It was all just very average. The afternoon tea was very average, the sandwiches were okay, the cakes not nice and the scones were literally tiny! You are sat at a nothing more than a plastic table on a plastic chair in a totally white empty room. There is nothing special about this place which is such a shame as it could be great! Its as if they forgot to keep up with the competition and are just relying solely on the view, but when there are so many other fab places with so much more to offer (including a view) I would definitely not be recommending Altitude. There are hundreds of places for Afternoon tea in London, pick somewhere else! I hope someone gives the place the re vamp it needs!

Booked the VIP NYE party tickets for £299 per person which were discounted from £500 along with a window table (£500) overlooking the fireworks total for 6 people £2294. Rather than boring people with a very long account of why this was the worst venue I've ever been to i will just briefly explain. The table wasn't overlooking the fireworks it was looking in the opposite direction. We asked to move as the venue was by far not sold out and tables still free but it took them 2 hours to assist us and this was a compromise by us. Most of the staff were incompetent and the rest couldn't speak English. We paid for 3 bottles of Vodka on our table which included mixers but the staff couldn't grasp this and only brought one half glass of lemonade and coke for 3 litres. Food from around the world was a complete joke and i would have been dissapointed if the ticket prices were £10 to include this standard of catering. The music was ancient and never stopped for a NYE count down and continued to blast throughout the firework display. The facilities listed on the tickets were not included such as a cinema room and games. The drinks purchased from the bar were extremely overpriced and on one occasion included flys in the ice cubes (picture enclosed) to the amusement of the bar staff. The security staff were very heavy handed and had obviously never been given any training on how to deal with a human. All this was relayed in January 2017 to the management who were looking in to the issues outlined and promised to reply within a time scale which has now passed. Im lucky enough to have visited some of the best venues and this promised to be one but we were so far from the reality. I only wish i had looked on TripAdvisor before we booked. AVOID AT ANY COST

Where to start on this experience where the £50 spent on a Groupon voucher would have been better spent just about anywhere else.. Positives were the view, the fries the toilets, and the Director of Operations Vishal who having been given this awful job did his best to keep smiling when I was telling him what I thought.. He described the staff as "fresh", in other words they were inexperienced, untrained, in one case totally unhelpful, and don't forget for that quality they apply the 12.5% service charge, or in my case didn't bother as I wouldn't have paid it. The drinks. £7 for a glass of wine, £3 for a coke, £5 for a bottle of beer, free tap water but unless you asked it wasn't refilled. There are only 4 choices on the menu and everyone we saw had the lobster so it should have been easy for the staff. If only. The waitress wasn't told there was a choice of steamed or grilled. The onion rings I ordered arrived 10 minutes later on the next table who hadn't ordered them. Ketchup in the little squeezy packets you find in the cheapest places, and the lobster wasn't cooked properly in my view with liquid pouring out of the claw. So I asked the waitress who wasn't as friendly or hapless as our one to call the manager, but she didn't bother, so I sorted it.. So Vishal appeared, full of apologies as to why the kitchen can't cook lobster properly and to why his staff are so poor and we got replacement Crustacea, and the offer of complimentary drinks. But as good as he was, and a pleasant but overpriced ( like everything) dessert, this was an evening full of disappointment. Don't go..

I had purchased a Groupon Voucher for me and a friend, we arrived early for my booking with my friend and was greeted okay and taken to our table, from there we were sat waiting on a waiter to attend to us regarding our order or even offer a glass of water. Eventually a waiter came over to us and asked us if we would like to order so we asked if we could see the drinks menu he apologises and comes back with only one considering there are 2 of us, we asked if they have water as this was not on the menu the waiter seemed to be unsure of this so the manager decided to intervene saying yes they serve still and sparkling. We ordered sparkling with slices of Lemon, we then ordered or meal which my friend asked if the Sweet Potato Fries were Gluten Free, once again the waiter was unsure of this and said he would check and come back to us. Shortly after the waiter returned with our water in glasses and no bottle, we then asked him if the water was sparkling he said yes, so we asked him how much for the glass of water he did not know but was able to tell us it cost £5 for the bottle so we asked where is the bottle which he now gets agitated and demands the water back just as my friend puts the glass to her lips and takes a sip which he now rudely snatches from her and storms off retuning with a full bottle and 2 glasses with slices of lemon in, to say were gobsmacked is an understatement. Our meal arrives (having not been told whether the sweet potato fries are gluten free or not) finally with 2 other waiters who were very nice but seemed rather confused to say the least as shortly after serving us they came back with the same dishes again, which we promptly told them we have already been served. The meal itself was cold the Lobster was soggy and wet like an old dish cloth and no flavour, the manager then returns upon seeing our disapproval and ask if everything is alright which I now explain the lobster is cold and insipid as it has no garlic butter or anything on, he then offers garlic butter and comes back with a pot of solid garlic butter which is impossible to spread on the cold lobster. We were give no utensils to remove the flesh from the shell so was forced to either use the fork or our teeth neither of which are appropriate. We proceed to continue eating the meal as any further complaints might have had them take the meal away and return with another after possibly spitting in it or worse, I would in no way or fashion recommend this restaurant to a living soul.

We visited this restaurant and had groupon vouchers to use towards the meal. My son and husband had the Angus burger which they said was ok but nothing special. My daughter had the chicken burger which she didn't like, it was awful. I had the lobster which was nice but very small. All the meals were very expensive for what they were. The puddings were nicer but again too expensive. 1 glass of proseco was £10! The view was nice but the food, atmosphere and service were disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We went there with a coupon that gave us 50% off but when we got there the prices were higher than we expected which meant that it wasn't a very good deal at all. The lobster did taste OK but there wasn't much meat in it. Beyond that things were bad and expensive: the chips were cold, the coke was flat. The staff were very very bad. They forgot the bring us part of our order, took ages to even set the table.

Recently visited this restaurant on a Saturday night, with a voucher we had purchased off group on. On arrival there was confusion with the table booking and we were told to wait, then we were seated in the centre of the room away from the windows and the view... Even though the place was empty! Next we ordered drinks and were told all cocktails were unavailable so my friends stuck to soft drinks which tasted like the supermarket basic cola... The food was average and you don't get much meat in the lobster.... Half of the meat had been taken out of one of the meals. To top it off, after ordering dessert we weren't given any cutlery. The restaurant had no atmosphere and the service wasn't great, and from the sounds of the people around us there were a lot of unhappy customers. Had we not had the voucher, I would not have eaten here due to the poor service and it is very overpriced!

Went here with girlfriend using Groupon voucher: paid £49 for £100 spend. Went Saturday 6pm and for 1-2 hrs we were the only ones having dinner; there was a group having drinks and several couples came later, but meant had place to ourselves. Nice ambience. As expected it's advertised as a pop-up restaurant so looks bit temporary on the inside. It's in the Sky Loft part of Altitude London. Drinks menu provided was the Altitude 360 one.Location: very convenient-Millbank Tower about 5 mins walk from Pimlico station, stunning views on 28th floor.Staff: very friendly.Food: great lobster.Price: with the groupon deal in effect was half price, so felt worth it. But without, not sure if I would spend that much.Menu is on their website so check out the prices yourselves.12.5% service charge so if you get 2 whole lobsters & 2 desserts, that comes to about £100 total.

bought a voucher online. read a bunch of horrendous review about the service / settings / food of this restaurant. As a result I expected the worst before my visit. The set up of the restaurant seems, as some users have commented, temporary. However if you read the restaurant website carefully, it says it is a pop up restaurant... Guess that pretty much describes the nature of the set up.Service. Luckily we had a polite and helpful staff member helped us. Indeed I spotted some waitresses who were lazily hovering around the floor with a seemingly permanent scorn on their faces. Food. The food was actually better than average! The chips were great. The lobster was small (@ full price) but fresh. I had the burger and the beef was actually juicy and nice.View. Simply stunning. Conclusion. It's not suitable for anyone who is trying to romantically impress someone on a first date. However with a voucher, it's a good place to visit with your best friends or family for a CASUAL dinner if you want some stunning view and good food.

We decided to eat here for my wife's birthday but wish we had not ..... the best part is the view, it is amazing, really amazing...but that's it... the restaurant is sparse to say the least, it was empty and remained empty until we left ( it was Sat night at just after 8pm ) and completely lacked any atmosphere ... the service was appalling, would even go as far as stating the staff were rude....food was extremely expensive for what you get and was a huge disappointment, and please watch out for being overcharged for your drinks, we were charged for 'doubles' when we never asked for them, and no way were they doubles ! . we decided to complain and had to insist the manager come over to talk to us...and after an uncomfortable discussion he did reduce the bill, but the whole experience was truly awful. I would be surprised if this restaurant remains open for much longer. Please I don't write reviews, good or bad, but after eating here I wanted to share our experience as restaurants like this do not deserve our, and your custom.

Super location and fantastic ambience. We were there to celebrate our friend turning 30. Reservation for 8pm - food didn't show till 9.30. Very slow service, I got the impression that staff weren't too clued up or trained on what they were doing - a number of times staff had to check with their supervisor. Food was good although I ordered truffle fries which cost extra and I honestly couldn't tell the difference? Payment was incredibly slow - the card machine just wouldn't connect - not something you would expect to happen at this location. Took about 20mins for all of us to pay using one card machine - not sure why another member of staff couldn't have joined speed things up? One final point, we paid £80 deposit, yet this was not deducted from our bill, which basically equated to having to wait another 10mins while they corrected their error.

I'm not normally one to rave about places. I like to try and find the good and the bad and give balanced reviews as best as possible, however, I visited this venue for dinner last night and haven't stopped telling everyone about the amazing time we had since.I was bought a voucher as a birthday present. I am awaiting major surgery and thought it'd be nice to visit before my surgery so I could fully enjoy the experience. I booked our table via email very last minute and yet Pooja was more than helpful, striving to find a date and time that we could be accommodated for our meal.Upon arrival the building is quite impressive, towering above other buildings and right on the Thames. We went in via the main entrance and were immediately directed to the lift despite being approximately an hour early for our booking. This was probably the worst part of our entire evening as I am more than a little terrified of lifts and although very quick I was still so scared I couldn't stop shaking for quite awhile once we got to our table. We explained to the hostess on the door that we were early. She advised us that the kitchen wasn't open, but we reassured her we were mainly after drinks at this point and weren't bothered about when food would be available. We were shown to a wonderful table by the windows with amazing views over the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.Despite being there on a voucher which entitled us to a main course and a bottle of wine, neither of us had eaten all day and so we opted to have starters of Lobster Bisque for my Husband, whilst I thoroughly enjoyed a mushroom slider with a small bucket of onion rings. The foods presentation is lovely and rustic, and really fits in with the ambience of the place. We were then served our main course of a whole lobster, two angus beef sliders and another bucket of fries. We had only eaten lobster once before and so were unsure how best to crack open the claws and unfortunately there was some confusion when we asked for advice on this, but really it didn't matter at all and we quickly figured it out for ourselves. We had a bit of a break and were rather greedy once we'd finished and ordered another side of fries whilst we enjoyed the view, the drinks and waited for our food to settle before our dessert. For dessert we opted for the chocolate extravaganza to share. It's a white chocolate dome that they pour hot dark chocolate over and it slowly melts away to reveal yet more chocolatey deliciousness and fruit underneath. All in all the whole experience was wonderful. It was a special night for us, made even more special by the awesome views, the delicious food, the friendly service we received and we were even given a glass of champagne and a coffee on the house which really made our night.I would highly recommend this venue for a romantic night out. We travelled to London specifically for this meal and were very worried about what our experience may be like after reading the reviews here but our experience couldn't have been further from the bad reviews and complaints. It truly was a magical night and one I hope to repeat very soon.I've posted this review both on Altitude and Lobster London as I was unsure which was the correct place but I suspect they both are.I'd also like to say a special thank you to our waitress, Silviana, who went above and beyond our expectations of good service and never made us feel anything but welcomed and looked after!

Was very surprised how bad this was. I'm a huge fan of the lobster wave of restaurants in London, so thought adding a beautiful view to my dining experience could only enhance it. Boy, how I was wrong. We booked through Amazon local - (not that this should affect the experience we had). Upon arrival, we couldn't help but notice what a random space the restaurant was set up in, it felt more like an outdated conference room than anything. A friendly member of staff showed us to a table (in the middle, away from any views of London). We promptly found the table had been set the wrong way round so we couldn't actually put our feet under it, so asked to be moved. We were then given a table with a (partial) view. We were given menus, although as we had a voucher, our waitress simply asked what type of wine we wanted and disappeared. Our food arrived, which was OK, but nothing special. Portions were pretty small for two to share one lobster and two sliders. Our waitress never returned to pour our wine, or ask if everything was ok, or if we wanted anything else from the menu. It was very apparent that the table next to us was getting an actual *service* from their waiter, so I complained to the manager - He assured me that customers are not treated differently if they come in on a voucher. After he told off his staff (privately), our waitress re-appeared and asked if we would like anything else, but of course, by then we had finished, and our miserable a3 paper printed menus were already illegible and covered in lobster juice.Overall - If you're after a good lobster dinner, there are much better places in town. If you're after fancy views, there are much better places in town. This is one best to avoid. Food: Was decent - Although not a scratch on Burger and Lobster. Also, no garlic butter with the lobster only a lemon wedge. Price: Very pricey for what it was - £40 for one lobster and two sliders. Billed as for two to share, but honestly could have eaten this on my own. £12 for a cocktail.Atmosphere: Zero - one of the strangest choices of venue, no ambience, random plasmas showing pictures of other rooms in the building, a playlist of about 3 Ed Sheran tracks on loop. Service: Non-existant - Once we were seated, and served our food we were just left alone, no checking it was OK, no checking if we wanted anything else, no topping up our wine...nothing. Table setting: I'm aware that this is a pop-up, but the attention to detail was very poor. Menu's are printed on a3 paper, not even laminated or trimmed to the edges. Candle holders still had the barcode stickers on them, candles those fake flickering ones that could have done with a battery changeLocation: Pretty far from the nearest tube (I wish it was worth the walk)

We came to Lobster London for our wedding anniversary meal and we had a great time. The staff were charming, polite, well-dressed and expecting us. Our waitress showed us to a table for two next to the window and as we had purchased an Amazon voucher for a burger and cocktail and booked in advance, the food was brought to us without us having to order it. The waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious: the portions were not big but the food was very well-cooked and the flavours were lovely. We had the mushroom burgers. We ordered extra drinks and a dessert. There was a service charge, but this was about the same amount that we had intended to give our waitress anyway. The view all over London was breath-taking. My boyfriend took me to Lobster London for my birthday. I was quite excited, but once we reached the place both of our faces dropped. The first thing you notice when you get out the lift is the smell of fish and i appreciate they serve lobster but that is not what you want to smell in the dining area. The interior really needs some serious taking care of. The floor looks like it's a building site. The food tastes okay but it's very over priced. You are basically paying for the view, but even then it's not worth it. Would not be returning. Rather pay a bit more and have a full experience.

Amazing view as you can imagine but that's about all. Waitresses knew nothing about the menu so when asked what a slider was no one knew!? Took 3 waitresses to find out and let us know they are a miniature version of another dish. Whe my husband was still eating his dinner the waitress asked what I would like for desert! Very rude! Felt like they wanted to rush us out. On top of that we HAD to pay the gratitude which was ridiculous at £17 when we had the most awful service. I booked Lobster London/ Skybar for my husband's birthday. We arrived early, and were shown to some seats quite far away from the bar. It felt a bit isolated and empty, and didn't get any service. We were told to order all our drinks ourselves from the bar, whilst everyone else got service for some reason. As my husband spent all his time waiting at the bar to be served, it meant we didn't have much time together to drink out drinks. We went over to the restaurant, where the waiter who served us was consistently friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We ordered two large lobsters to share which came with fries and unlimited salad. The food was very good, and so were the views from the restaurant.Unfortunately our pudding didn't arrive which we waited for over forty-five minutes. They gave us Espresso Martinis on the house to make up for this though which was great, and made an effort to sing happy birthday to my husband. Overall I would recommend the restaurant to a friend, even though it's a little pricey, but I probably wouldn't go back just for drinks or afternoon tea.Overall I probably wouldn't go back just for drinks or afternoon tea, but I would recommend the restaurant to a friend, despite being a little pricey, as the food was excellent and the views were stunning.

We know theres no such thing as a new concept, so clearly the owners of this place decided to copy the great formula of many great lobster / burger venues. The problem this place has is that its rubbish.Yes theres a view but really who cares when you spend all night looking for a waiter Drinks are stupidly expensive, food over cooked and poor and service none existant. We were only one of a few tables there and we couldnt book when we wanted as we were told the place was full !!!!! its a joke - end of

Came to this place expecting something spectacular! But me and my girlfriend were let down.Food was okay but not for the price paid, had 2 sliders with the lobster which were nothing special.Lobster itself was cooked well. The view obviously was amazing but it didn't district from the disappointment of the food.Think hard before coming here

Very rarely do I give poor reviews but feel compelled to do so based on the quality of the food. It's too expensive but given that it's Lobster I get it - but the food tastes awful, my sister even got some chips that tasted very bitter - and I have never had a potato chip that I would describe as bitter but there is no other word for it. It's sold as a luxury experience but the tables wobble and at one point their extractor fan broke down and the entire restaurant was filled with smoke; something had clearly been burnt in the kitchen. Honestly save your money and head to Burger & Lobster. Having gone to both venues Burger & Lobster is far and away better than Lobster London which is a bit embarrassing by comparison. I have no clue why this has an average rating of 3.5 - that is way to high. The service was nice however, the waitresses were smiley but we're not wanting to pay £30+ for smiley waitresses. And the reception is a bit odd also, they have this weird system of having you walk round to a gate further away from the main door when they have another gate in front of the main entrance; it's as if there is some sort of crowd control in place which is ridiculous as there is hardly any one there. Whole experience was a total let down and I wish I could get a refun tbh,

We booked a meal and cinema. We were delayed 10 minutes because of "management issues" and promised a free drink, needless to say the free drink did not happen!Because we still had an hour and a half before the cinema we ordered a starter, and when our meal arrived we ordered a bottle of wine.About five minutes later we were told the cinema would start 45 minutes earlier than we were earlier advised, apparently a last minute decision, unfortunately we were only told this one minute before the start of the film, the wine had only just arrived and we had hardly started the meal. Obviously we had no chance of seeing the film. However the view is good!

When to the sky bar last night for my birthday dinner with a friend and the service was horrendous. The service was beyond disgusting . No one offered me a menu even though I was seated for 20 minutes by myself waiting for my company. When my friend finally showed up still no one came to us , when we finally got someone's attention he said the kitchen is closed even though I noticed that they served a couple 5 mins before. I asked myself why is this happening ? Why are the waiters walking right pass us and no one is even looking our way ? Why was I seated for over 30 mins and not one person asked if we needed a drink? Then I looked around and noticed we were the only BLACK people at the bar ...... even the manager did not apologize for the terrible treatment. So in other words they are RACIST....... case close

I took my boyfriend for his birthday treat to the lobster restaurant on the 28th floor of the Millbank Tower on February 20th 2015. We were permitted to choose which table we wanted that evening and chose to sit by the panoramic windows with amazing views. The house champagne for £60 a bottle was the finest we ever tasted. The lobster bisque that we both had was perfectly seasoned and served with delicious toasted garlic bread. The Whole lobster we both chose to eat was prepared juicy and succulent and served with an implement like a nut cracker to break inside to find the meaty white flesh hidden in the claws which was a fun experience in itself. It was truly the finest lobster we both had ever tasted and worth every penny. Neither of us liked the taste of the mushroom sider which was a mushroom in a roll that was totally overpriced at £5 each and would definitely recommend this dish to be improved by the restaurant or replaced with an alternative vegetarian option to the meat siders. The restaurant was not busy on the night we went which was a bonus and we had attentive service throughout. The bar area with sofa seating was better attended than the restaurant and helped lift the ambiance with the taped music in the background. After dinner we went upstairs for the silent disco which was a special event that night on the 29th floor which was a great way to end our perfect evening at Altitude 360 and would highly recommend the Lobster restaurant to anybody for special occasions with champagne or alternatively a special place to go if you want to eat great tasting lobster that is worth the money charged. The lobster dinner and champagne at the Lobster restaurant at Altitude 360 Millbank Tower ranks in our opinion as one of the best meals we have eaten in London ever with the finest panoramic views and the silent disco made it the most memorable birthday ever for my boyfriend special birthday that evening.

My partner and I were looking forward to this night: a champagne cocktail with 3 course dinner; promising spectacular views. We arrived 15 minutes early to find a queue already snaking through the reception lobby and no-one seemingly in control. After queuing for over an hour we were finally ushered to a lift to the 29th Floor, along with a number of already disgruntled victims. As the doors parted we were faced with an even more compacted and confused queue - except 29 floors up.We could take no more and requested our escape. This was provided by means of the fire escape and 29 floors of stairs: dressed in our evenings clothes and exhausted by the events so far. When we finally arrived at ground level we were met by an Altitude 360 representative who assured us of a refund. However, nearly one month, 4 e-mails and 3 telephone calls later we have received neither compensation or acknowledgement. If there is one thing you should do it is NEVER use this company

Just to set the background on this, I booked this for a post matinee theater meal on Saturday so I had an early 18:30 booking. We both were in a Lobster mood but wanted something a little less bustling than Big easy but not somewhere we had to get over dressed for as it was a long day for us. I booked Lobster London without seeing any photos so all I knew was it was predominantly lobster menu and it was on the 28th floor. When we arrived at the 28th floor reception, all I can say is that I was very impressed with the soft lighting and amazing views looking over towards the London Eye. Then followed the initial service, I didn't catch our waitress's name but she seemed Greek, and the big smile and genuine friendly nature made us feel very welcome and relaxed. As for the food, one of us ordered the whole lobster, and the other a lobster and 2 sliders so we could share those. This was a good sized meal for 2, the lobster tasty and well cooked, some hot butter on the side would have made it perfect. The sliders we tried were the Angus Beef and the Chicken. We both liked the Beef, but neither of us were fond of the chicken for some reason even though the chicken itself seemed like perfectly fine breast. This was minor though as we deliberately got a selection to try so if we come back we know what we like. It would have also been handy to have somewhere to dispose of the lobster shell as it gets quite cramped on the board its served on.For desert we share the same view as another reviewer about the Sharing chocolate extravaganza. It's a very fun presentation of a white chocolate dome that melts away as hot chocolate is poured over it to reveal the main desert inside (more chocolate, ice-cream & fruit). It really helped to end the meal and our day.All in all it was a very enjoyable meal, with an unexpected great view in a spacious loft and welcoming friendly service. It's what we wanted and both were glad with our decision to come here. We would come here again and more importantly I would happily bring friends here for the service and view alone. I've given it £££, not because I think it's expensive for what you get, but I don't think it should show up on people looking for places that are ££ either.

We made a booking for Saturday evening and we were running a little late, so started to worry as we were told it was really busy. When we arrived about 15 minutes late the restaurant was practically empty (only about 5 tables were occupied). We were seated quickly and our waitress was lovely, food arrived promptly and it was delicious! I had the whole lobster with fries and salad (1/2 a lobster definitely wouldn't have been enough) and my partner had the Cajun burger with fries and salad. Restaurant has great views, it's a shame it was empty as the night lacked atmosphere! Overall enjoyed the evening though.

I had the lobster and my husband the burger. both delicious. reasonably priced and unbelievable views (better than the London eye). we shared the coolest desert: the chocolate extravaganza which imploded when hot chocolate was poured on it. the décor was also very funky with a New York style to it.. staff were also friendly and helpful. I think it would be a fun place to go with a group of friends.

This is my forth time now that I have been to Lobster London at the Millbank Tower. My first visit was when it was a friends party. The service was excellent, as was the amazing dinner. This is a mandatory visit on a trip to London- we stayed for a few hours after dinner just for the view. It's cutting edge and uber trendy, and the cocktails were very good. Staff were friendly and really helpful as well. The view is really fabulous - you can wander around and look out of just about every window (unlike other restaurants and bars with a view ). Definiteness worth a visit.

Having had difficulty booking using the phone number (no answer several times) I ended up emailing to get a table, explaining it was my birthday and I wanted a good table.I arrived on time, an apparently packed restaurant had about 10 customers in and probably more staff than customers. I was sat around 15metres from anyone else in the corner with some good views marred by the excessive lighting inside meaning you couldn't take any decent pictures of the skyline etc. I waited around 15 minutes to get asked for drinks and food, the menu is tiny, its either lobster or burgers, nothing else. One chicken option and no veggie options at all. I asked for my burger medium well, and when it arrived it was pink but having waited so long to eat I was beyond caring at that point.Food was average, no better than a whetherspoons to be honest.Best part came at payment - I eventually got the bill, exactly as I had planned cost wise in my head but a 2.75 service charge was applied. The waiter then said you dont have to pay that if you don't want to! Well how many people are going to turn around and say to the waiter they aren't going to pay it?! Should be like most places where the option is on the pin pad.Poor all around and won't be going back ever.

Consigliato!

I have never been to a Burger or Lobster chain even though I had been keen to, however thought Lobster London (not part of the chain) was the perfect venue for my birthday dinner with friends. How wrong was I!So firstly, I cannot dispute the views overlooking London from the 28th floor of the Millbank Tower are stunning, especially at night. This was one of the main reasons I opted for this restaurant, and thought it would definitely be a novelty for all invited. I booked a table for a party of 10, located beside the window which was great. Most tables were around the outline of the restaurant beside the window so diners could enjoy the views. What did look a bit weird were the tables in the middle of the floor which sat vacant all evening. Strangely, the venue stated on their 24/7 answering machine that the venue was ‘fully booked’ that weekend, yet there were more than ample seats available throughout the evening??? I should add that the venue only really accepts reservations via email (which is what I resorted to)as no matter what time of day I called 2 weeks prior to make a reservation, I could never get through to a human being…I thought being based in London, this wouldn’t be one of the ever-frustrating challenges we often face using offshore call centres…but anyway! The reservation system is somewhat to be desired…i.e. nonexistent!!!!So to conclude with the evening of events, on arrival we were greeted and seated promptly and noticed quite a few waiters/waitresses’, which is why I could not fathom why everything was done at ‘snail’s pace’!!!! Whilst we perused the menu our waiter came by to take our drinks order. As some of my party had dined at a burger and lobster restaurant (not part of this restaurant group) in the past we all thought it may be similar but in advance of ordering asked our waiter how the lobster is served/presented i.e. will we be required to cut open or already done for us? The poor waiter didn’t really understand us and kept repeating ‘it will come with salad on the side and chips on the side’, exactly the same as was written on the menu, which clearly we knew as we could all READ! We left that subject to get past that stumbling block and ordered our drinks. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks whilst watching waiters walking up and down the floor, even asking another waiter what is taking so long. When they did arrive the two glasses of Rose’ wine we ordered they were completely flat and one glass clearly had more in than the other, so it appears they pour’ freehand’ as opposed to measuring. When we queried this with the waiter delivering the drinks he played completely blind to the fact when everyone could clearly see the difference between the two glasses sat side by side! We drank the wine as that was another rigmarole in itself sending it back. Our food arrived fairly promptly after we ordered, it felt that way anyway given it arrived pretty much after the 20 min drink wait. When we saw the half lobster, we didn’t think much of it until we tucked in and realized there was practically no meat in it simply sauce covering the top! What a nightmare, hungry diners at my birthday dinner! Those who have been to the other chains of similar restaurants also agreed to be served this meagre portion was outrageous! A friend had clearly been unfortunate with her serving as she had noticeably less salad than the rest of us. Given we had very little in the form of Lobster and so hungry……every bite counts at this point ;-) She mentioned this to the waiter to see if he could bring some more out. Well of course he did just that, in a fancy little tin bucket (that fits in your hand) and said it would be £5. Needless to say she sent that back! Those that had ordered burgers were satisfied as they were generous 10 Ounce burgers, so they got what they paid for. The food in my opinion was standard, nothing stood out as extra special or particularly tantalizing and the outset of the venue was very miss-matched i.e. nothing matched from the decor to the ambience. We had a loud speaker over our table which bleared House music on this early Sat evening, not what we expected – this did not set the scene for where we were at all! One can only think that maybe owing to all our table queries, they wanted to blast us out of the restaurant and into the Thames for making such a fuss! The furniture was even miss-matched, even spotting garden furniture, which did make us chuckle by the end of the evening. My table was also wobbling the entire time, but with the disappointment over the food I couldn’t be bothered to say anything more. We ended the evening with my birthday cake as our dessert, not wanting to spend another penny. This for me was the best part of the evening. As we finished the meal, through no fault of LL, as they occupy a floor alongside Altitude/Sky Bar there was a speed dating event taking place in the next room. As we made our way to through the lobby we noticed man staggering towards us and were met by a drunken speed-dater walking out of the event, before we could say ‘Drunken Master’ the man projectile vomited everywhere! None of my group were touched, luckily. But needless to say, it’s far from what you need after having your dinner! I would rate the restaurant overall a 2/10, the views are amazing but that’s as far as it goes I’m afraid!

Really tasty food and really good cocktails. I had a whole lobster and was feeling really greedy but when it came I was glad - portions were a lot smaller than expected. The plate/slab of wood was a bit too small for the whole lobster as well, I had food and lobster juice all over myself and the table and no where to put the shell to get it out of the way. They did get our order wrong but corrected it. Staff were really nice but there wasn't enough opportunity to get to see the view properly, it seems the better side was shut off for a private event. The seats wrap the whole of the sides, so we had people disturbing our meal who were sat in the middle of the restaurant who had no access to the view and we would have had to disturb others to see different parts of the view. Slightly feel like we missed out.

I suppose they are trying to achieve a loft feel, for me the decor was shabby with what looked like a reclaimed school gym floor. All the seating is pushed up against the windows which doesn't allow you to really wander around and enjoy the stunning view. The positives, the staff were really friendly and to be honest its quite cheap. Free parking outside at the Tate Britain helps. The food was OK but the portions a little small. The deserts are good and great value. Its a very limited menu but they still managed to get the order wrong, they did correct it rather quickly. The cocktails are nice and good value at under a tenner. To sum it up its like a poor mans trip to the shard.

In short, poor food, poorly run, won't be going back. We went on a Saturday night in September. We had booked an offer of two courses and a cocktail for £25 which seems very reasonable, given the burger alone is £20; high restaurants believe they can charge high prices... We arrived at reception and were greeted by a "security guard" who said someone would be down to look after us in a few minutes as it doesn't open until 6 and it was now 5-to-6. We sat in reception with another couple who were attending the cinema dinner but didn't have a dinner reservation so were "chancing" a booking. After someone arrived and eventually found our 4 names, (with our help) we were put in the lift up to the 28th floor. We were greeted at the top by a member of staff who seemed genuinely shocked to see us; "who are you, who sent you upstairs?" Not quite the greeting we were expecting. The other couple without the reservation were then told despite the restaurant being empty at 6pm, that they didn't have space and would have to leave - amazing welcoming! Myself and my wife were then seated at a window table with fantastic views of central London. Our waiter Dane I think, was nice and helpful, although there was a mix up with our cocktails. The food however really isn't all that. We have been to a similar style restaurant in Soho so we did have HIGH hopes for this venue. There's no starters, and only a choice of 5 mains. My burger was nothing out of the ordinary and rather greasy. The wife had a lobster brioche which had very little lobster and a whole jar of Mayo. And desserts of a brownie really weren't all that. We were out of the restaurant by 7.15 and it was still half empty, which makes the fact that they refused an extra two customers even more bizarre.

I visited LobsterLondon with a couple of friends on a Friday evening for dinner. In terms of positives our table was nice, the view excellent, the food was pretty tasty and the wine we had was superb. However, this place is let down for a number of reasons. Whilst the food is decent, the portion sizes were not really up to scratch. The lobster (£20) was advertised as a half...however around half of the (half) meat was missing and replaced with a yellow mayonnaise type sauce. Furthermore I would have felt quite ripped off if I had ordered the burger for the same price, bearing in mind the great quality of burgers that can be found in similar restaurants in the capital for around half the price. In addition, the restaurant is way too big for the number of guests in there, with huge gaps between the tables. It makes diners feel quite self-conscious and gives the restaurant an almost hollow feel as everyone is so spread out. This place could be amazing with the view and location being top notch. However, it is overpriced for the amount and quality of food that you receive. Looking at some of the other reviews it appears others have a similar opinion and it really wouldn't change much to get me back there in the future. It’s just with so many alternatives with almost identical offerings there needs to be a step up on all fronts.

We went there for a timeout film and burger deal. After the film we went up to the 26th floor restaurant overlooking the river. Our main waitress was Nadine and she was so sweet and nice. Although food was sooooo slow and we almost fainted with hunger, she made us feel cared for. When food finally came, it was the thickest patty i've ever tasted. Drinks even came a lot slower so we finished half of our burgers. Still it was lovely and Nadine was so apologetic that we even felt sorry for her to be apologetic for the food/drinks to be late. We really wanted to leave a review card for her great hospitality, but unfortunately there was none.

This place could be so great if the management made the effort. You need a reservation, whether for the restaurant or the Silent Disco (on the 29th floor) they host once per month and after checking in with the ground floor staff, you take the lifts to the 28th floor where they transformed one area into bar and restaurant and the other area with NS views via west into bar only. The furniture is mismatched really badly and despite the staff trying their best, with the great views over London, you realise there is no need to come back here pretty soon. My voucher which I could not refund as it was for one person only as I discovered too late, entitled me to a lobster soup which I refused, followed by half (anemic) lobster with the claws not cut and even so, splashed me all over after being returned from the kitchen and a very funny salad. The chips were nice though, thank God I was not hungry. The champagne, the strawberry daquiri and strawberry icecream were nice and my friend then joined for an over priced and tiny burger and lots of wine that came at some £5.50 per glass. The staff is very friendly and apparently the place is packed at the weekend.

It's clear that the main selling point of this restaurant is the view. And the view is excellent. The decor seems a little dated - about ten years past it's sell by date. Big Brother style egg chairs and strange gym markings on the floor. The tables were quite far apart and there was very little atmosphere. Someone commented it was like a 'wedding reception gone wrong.'The food isn't bad. There were no real complaints, just that the place doesn't seem to justify its prices. At £20 for a main course, it's not unreasonable to expect linen napkins, or at least paper ones that aren't see through. All the condiments, salt and pepper were in paper sachets. It would have been far nicer to have these in the original pots or jars. A few simple touches would make this place much nicer. The service was a bit of a joke with our group. Perhaps the waiter was inexperienced, but to ask each guest what they'd like to eat and then call this out to the rest of the group and ask for a hands up if anyone else wanted it was novel to say the least. Perhaps next time he could ask people to mark a tally on the menu to save him the bother of asking...The cocktails are ok.All in all, Lobster London is all about the view. If they worked on the service and finishing touches this place could justify a second visit, but for now I probably won't return.

We were invited back to this restaurant for a complimentary dinner for two, which we actually enjoyed. Let me start with the good things, as this time we were much happier with our experience. The staff was very nice this time, We had a smiling and nice waitress who took care of us. No problems with her at all. Also, another member of staff (Daniel) was regularly checking if we had everything we needed. He did that despite he was not our server, he was also serving other tables. We were impressed by Daniel - again...Food was nice as well.I booked a table next to the window. I understand not everyone can be given a table next to the window, but when we were shown our table, we were the only ones not sitting at a window table (while still having at least 4 available window tables). Later the evening another couple was seated to the window table right next to our non-window table. We could have been seated there about an hour ago...I think the customer facing staff did their best to ensure we had a great time, but being an experience designer myself, I can tell, there's LOTS of room for improvement at Lobster bar. Lots. This place could be way better than it is now. Hopefully this will change someday.

Had no trouble finding the place. Go into the tower block and ask at reception for the restaurant on the 28th floor. They will let you in.Almost a “pop-up” restaurant, the room boasts views around all four edges of the building, with tables placed not too close together around the edges. We arrived at 6.20 as they were opening and got a terrific spot looking East (towards Houses of Parliament) with the West End, City and Docklands all in view. The food is OK. It’s expensive for what you get (£20 for a burger and chips, same for lobster and chips (which we had), £30 bottle of decent sauvignon blanc) but remember you are paying for the view. Hence why we have rated it 4 stars as opposed to 3.The atmosphere is fairly young but don’t let that put you off! You’ll spend most of your time looking out the window! We went on a sunny day and really enjoyed ourselves. Worth a look.

Went for dinner with friends here, luckily I met them first as I would have struggled to find it on my own. Our table was booked for 6:30pm, having arrived at 6pm we thought we would be able to enjoy a pre dinner drink at the bar, unfortunately we were told we couldn't go up and had to wait in the corporate lobby. When we were able to go up, the restaurant looked impressive; wooden floor and exposed brickwork with outstanding views of London. We were positioned by the window. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, as were all staff. However, the lobster was a little bland and tasteless. If this had been for a special occasion I would have been a little disappointed.I recommend this restaurant for the views and maybe the drinks menu : good cocktails! It isn't somewhere I would go again just for the food.

The best way to describe the recent visit.. AWFUL!Where do I start...The restaurant its self is not signposted, so we therefore walked around the building aimlessly for around 10 minutes before asking at the main reception desk of the Millbank tower. Finally we made it up to the restaurant which honestly looked like it was in the middle of being decorated! The front of house staff were very unsure of what they were actually doing, nevertheless we were given a fantastic table next to the window (so cant complain there). We booked a special menu for £25pp which included a main meal and a glass of champagne. None of the staff even knew about what this was but after showing the booking receipt on my phone several times they soon remembered. When ordering the main meal (Lobster brioche) we were told we were not allowed this as it had been removed from the menu. So the menu which you see online and the menu given on the evening are two different things!!I then ordered a diet coke which was completely flat and had no taste. I politely asked for it to be changed, which it was, but exactly the same. I didn't bother asking for a third. Our food came out quickly once ordered and that is the last we saw of the staff. Never asked if we wanted anything else to drink, if our food was OK.. nothing. We finished our meal and waited at the table for around 45 minutes for the plates to be cleared. This never happened so we made our way to the bar to pay, Again, the staff seemed confused, almost unsure why we were out of our seats. We quickly left after paying as we felt we had outstayed our welcome. The only good this about this restaurant is the view.

The building and entrance we "business like" but lovely, clean and the staff helpful and friendly. We took the lift to the 28th floor and were thrilled with our table at the window. We looked directly on to the Thames, St Paul's, The London Eye etc. The evening was a balmy Summer's evening and the atmosphere in the restaurant relaxed and pretty casual.Plenty of room for photos and others taking photos. Our service was REALLT second to non. She was helpful, funny, friendly, interesting and did a great job.Cocktails were interesting and scrummy! We both ordered LOBSTER. It was actually a small tails of lobster meat and the rest of the shell filled with sauce and a claw. Did we complain NO ~ did we ask for the claw to be cracked ~ yes! Was it value for money? Food wise no but view wise yes! Would we go back. Probably. Well worth a visit.

My friend and I had vouchers from Time Out to go to the restaurant. First of all, one had to email to reserve seats- ringing did not really work at all, nor do they get back to you after leaving them a message. The lady we saw once we arrived was badly dressed (unprofessional) and was not very friendly. She took us to a table, and I asked whether we could sit at the next table- she then gave us a very fake smile, and said "this has been allocated to you" and walked off. Great start to the evening. Next thing: a waitress arrived and said we are only to have one particular drink, even though the voucher was for a burger and a cocktail. When I mentioned about the voucher, she got annoyed and said asked whether we have a problem, and asked in a very unpleasant way whether we demand to see the manager. I did not actually think about that, but since she mentioned in a terrible manner, I then indeed asked to see the manager. The matter was eventually sorted out, but while all the food was nice, it was not the 360 degrees view they promised. Half the restaurant was shut, with a wall blocking the other side/half of the restaurant. The table which was "not allocated to us" was only filled over an hour later- since my friend and I were one of the very first people arriving on time to our appointment, I don't see how it would kill them to give us seats we wanted? It was very obvious that both the front of the house as well as the waitress had no training. If they did, they suck at their service. After we finished the one drink and the food, they did not even ask us whether we would like deserts or if they can get us anything else. Never during the meal did the waitress ask how our food or drinks were, she was seen chatting and standing on the side staring. The food, on the other hand, was fabulous. Expensive if one is to pay full price, Overall, the view was good but not 360 as they described- I feel they should have told us about half the restaurant being blocked off, as we would have booked another date. The food was good, but the service really was despicable, I have not been this mad at staffs at a restaurant ever, and they have certainly won the trophy for bad service and attitude (bizarrely, only the females were bad mannered, while the guys were all nice).

The views from this place are truly outstanding. Loved it and though we visited on a cloudy day, it can't take away from the beauty of the city. The meals are huge- I found the chicken burger quite dry but the fries were amazing.

Absolutely Loved Lobster London. I went for the half lobster, fries and salad. My seat was window facing so I had an amazing view of London. We had had dinner in the Centrepoint tower once which was fabulous - but very pricey. I didn't expect Lobster London to be so reasonable for a restaurant at the top of the Millibank Tower. I've seen reviews where they say it's over priced, but if you compare it to the other restaurants in high towers it's really a great place to go for a good meal, great atmosphere and an excellent view for slightly more than you would pay at ground level. The menu is quite limited - but that was fine with me - I was there for the lobster. Most lobster I've had in restaurants usually is taken out of it's shell and then placed back in the shell for decoration. I liked that I had to crack it open myself - however, if it was my first time it may have been quite awkward. I can just imagine someone on a first date shooting a claw across the room. Love the lay out of the restaurant - there is so much space. Which is like a breath of fresh air compared to most restaurants where you have to do a dance around everyone's pulled out chairs just to get to the other side of the room. All in all I had an excellent evening and I would highly recommend it for a cheap sky-dining option and I will certainly be back. Oh yes - we also found it easier to walk from Westminster rather than Pimlico - that's just us though.

Booked a late meal here after an evening at the Tate Britain.Decor - New England Lobster Shack in a high rise. Do not expect glamour. Food - Limited menu but nice quality and good sized portions. The lobster was very good.Bar - Nice drinks but you are paying for the view not the drinksService - Lovely and attentive staff but they had technical problems with the till so the bills were all wrong (in our favour so why complain)View - Stunning unique views of LondonSummary - nice experience but would not go back.

Brought my boyfriend here for a celebratory dinner for his recent promotion. The lift up was super quick and first impressions when entering the bar were fab, windows all around of sunny London! We took a seat directly by the window (as requested on booking) and ordered a cocktail. Expensive at £9.50+ each and unfortunately no where near the quality I've had elsewhere, very watered down and not much taste. We both ordered the lobster and sliders, lobster tasty with a nice butter and crispy chips and fresh salad, although the sliders I wouldn't have bothered with. Pulled pork that tasted like overly sweet duck, dry chicken and a cheap tasting cheeseburger. Would recommend just going for the lobster option. Overall, nice restaurant with great views over London, although maybe not worth the price tag. Could be better if a few things were changed.

I've always wanted to visit this place as I love skybars, I wanted to compare it with Vertigo 42, which is a another bar at the top of Tower 42.I have to tell that Lobster bar is a huge disappointment! I expected this place to be fancy and at least a bit luxurious, but it's very far from that. I think it's primarily because of the way we were greeted and seated. The woman who seated us (Pauna) was very unfriendly and we could instantly see she was bored by her job and that she hated it. We were find with not being seated by the window, because not everyone can be seated there, but I would have expected her to be nice to us. She kept being like this throughout the whole evening, without a single smile on her face clearly showing she's superior to anyone. Anyway, I paid over 130 pounds for 3 soft drinks, 3 hamburgers (nothing special, really!) and 2 desserts. The only positive experience really is our server (thus the 2 stars), his name was Daniel, cheerful and nice person, just as you wrould expect at such a place.Overall, this place is so extremely overpriced and the atmosphere is far not as great as it could be. Don't expect too much from the staff really. Forget this place and visit Vertigo 42, you'll have a far better experience.

A small group of 4 went for my partner's 40th birthday meal. We had the Lobster meal in a relaxed environment with good music and incredible views around the whole of London. It was possible to walk around the room to look out of any of the windows surrounding the Millbank Tower (I think the 26th floor). The weather and lighting changed and so did the views, they have amazing photos of night & day views on the wall.We really enjoyed our visit and it had the best views across London that we have seen so far!

If you love lobster and London, you'll love this restaurant at the top of Millbank Tower. Our hot lobster tails were well cooked, very tender and fresh, and the dips on the side delicious. French fries were crunchy and even the salad garnish was more than an after thought. I had a milkshake, rich but not too filling and my partner enjoyed a frozen daiquiri which the very cool barman recommended. Of course the views are excellent as well, this is arguably the best located restaurant in London.

Went here as there was a great offer on Top Table for 50% off the tasting menu. I loved the decor, it's quite industrial-warehouse-looking with old school gym flooring (you can see the sports court markings). The view was amazing too. But for some reason they hadn't arranged the tables very well, so I had my back to the view. Service was quite good, but the staff seemed quite inexerienced. Having had tasting menus before, we hoped that there would also be wines recommended for each course. Apparently this hadn't been put together yet. And when asked for a recommendation for the course with foie gras, we were given a totally inappropriate recommendation. However, the big disappointment was really the food though. It was all really well presented. But it was mediocre tasting. Alot of the dishes tasted like they had been pre-prepared and were a bit rubbery. The beef later in the courses, didn't have any flavour at all. At one point a course arrived and was meant to be served with truffled brioche, which was missing. When we asked the waiter about it, he tried to tell us that it was the bit of pastry on the dish, which it clearly wasn't. Then when we'd nearly finished the course, a bowl of brioche was suddenly delivered. To be honest, I left feeling disappointed, as I had been looking forward to the meal and it just didn't live up to my expectations.

Apart from the 2 hours from sitting down to receiving the main course, I was introduced to a new species of fish that I'd not had before. I called it the "cardboard fish" because that's what it tasted like - in terms of flavour and texture - and it came with virtually nothing else on the plate. I think it must have been cooking for that whole 2 hours. An absolute disgrace. Don't eat here!If you want a view and meal go on the London Eye and grab anything from one of the fast food establishments - it will be better quality than you'll receive here.

Booked for my Father in laws Birthday. We should've listened to the reviews! Amazing food and wonderful view hopelessly let down by terrible service. Our lovely waitress had clearly not had even basic training with no idea about anything she was serving. No communication between kitchen and waiting staff, tasting menu with matching wines served at completely different times. Two wines on the tasting menu were not even available. We were given a 10% discount and free drinks. Unfortunately this did not remove the embarrassment of a disastrous Birthday.

I want to be fair, although I was not impressed with my food I think it was because I ordered chicken and not a beef burger, after all it is the GBK. However, my chicken burger was just nothing special, actually the similar one from Burger King is tastier.
