Lobos in City of London, Westminster

So disappointed. Used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Central London. Rations are getting smaller, food quality much lower, prices higher. Now £50 per person for lower-than-average food quality, and I left hungry :(

Aya was our waitress, we had an amazing evening for a girls night out. The atmosphere upstairs was perfect and we had a nice view of the kitchen and everything flowed well for our meal. The food was delicious, we can't wait to come back and would definitely recommend this place. The warm welcome and kindness we were shown was so lovely. Thank you to Aya!

Recommended by a friend which turned up 10 mins late but during that time got harassed rudely to order the food. Didn't know what to order as we wanted to choose with our friend. Also got rushed to finish our food which was quite nice. Would we visit this place again because of the food? Probably. But because of this experience, it's not going to be a first choice sadly.

As a regular traveller to Spain, I’d have to say that the food here is not so authentically Spanish. The jamón was average. Prawns were done in a different way. Sizes of plates were small. We spent £50 per person but we were not full.

Would definitely recommend! The service was great for our anniversary, the champagne glass was a really special extra thank you❤️ The food was delicious! Not a pork lover, but goshhh this was good pork here. Edward and Nick did a great job entertaining us this evening. Thanks once again!

The taste is so-so, but the prices are quite high since it's in central London.

I have visited this little restaurant quite a few times and the food is always excellent. A really interesting selection of dishes all thoughtfully prepared. The meat is of course great quality, but the other dishes are also tasty with top quality ingredients, a particular favourite of my daughters is the outstanding Octopus dish. There is a good length interesting wine list. The place always has a nice buzz and the service is always great. Having said that (in the interests of transparency) they made a small error when I ordered last night, but without my asking gave me a substantial discount on my bill out of proportion to the inconvenience we suffered. For me that was a sign of how much they care about getting it right.

We came to celebrate birthday here. The restaurant has treated us Champaign and sang us a birthday song! Nice and friendly staff! Food is also amazing, definitely would visit again x

Mmm. Wouldn’t go back. Expensive. Very rushed. Ok we were a few minutes late but from ordering to finished eating in 30 mins? Starters followed by mains before starters were finished. To cap it all we were then given a 15 minute warning that our 90 minute time allocation was nearly up…alternatively time to go! Disappointing.

Have my birthday here! All the food and drink taste good, especially the chocolate cake (like ice cream, melting on the tongue)! The service was amazing! All they were with good attitude and positive smile! And so kind to sing a birthday song and took a little candle on the cake! Good memories here:)

Really good portion sizes. Loved the Broken Eggs in particular, could eat that as it's own meal! However found the steak to be too salty, and service was slow.

Food really good, staff amazing but there is one problem… the music. Awful commercial playlist from Spotify. We had to have dessert outside as that was terrible. Do something about that, this is really bad for a nice place, and not nice with the staff who agreed with us 😆

Fantastic place. Been twice now. Both times perfect. Wish they stopped serving octopus.

By far the worst food experience ever. Food was mildly warm, poor quality and massively over priced -including the tiniest imaginable bottles of coke. We order 10 tapas dishes and the £48 steak. Our party of 5 were served 3 tiny dishes at a time and waited about 20 minutes between each serving. The steak did not arrive at all. When queried it was served shortly afterwards completely cold on a cold plate. Extremely disappointing experience. Definitely not recommended.

Made a reservation for 7:15pm on 19 October and reservation was confirmed. Arrived at 7:10pm and was told to wait as table wasn’t ready. Waited until 7:25pm and went to check again, and was informed that table was still not ready. In the meantime, 3 groups were seated. What’s the point of making a reservation if it’s not going to be honoured? Frankly, disappointing.

Iberico Pork selection is perfect for sharing , food is great for meat dishes and octopus leg is amazing however other tapas dish fell short and I wasn’t expecting bottle beer in this place

Very delicious tapas! Especially the steak!

We got three items as we just wanted a nibble before dinner. Wait staff came across as a little put off and slammed a bottle quite heavily on our table. 1. Ham - hard and seemed a bit stale 2. Bread - cold and hard 3. Broken eggs - potatoes were crisp and egg runny, but otherwise bland and overdosed with oil and paprika. Tables so close to each other you might as well be double dating with the couple on the next table. How did this place get so many 5 star reviews? It is beyond me

If you go to London and don't go through Lobos a uuuuuuuu being Spanish you don't know what you're missing. Great place to have a good time with the family and good service and food. Oh and ask about Aya from Malaga haha ​​great girl and above all about Mathew... you won't miss it

Great food, fabulous staff and amazing food.

Was in London for a month, and I ate here 10 times. The chef cooks with so much passion and love, and you can taste it through all of the dishes. Food: Chuletón 🥩 was downright my favourite! It is always done perfectly and tastes amazing. The Chef’s Special was continuously evolving and the last version of it was our favourite. Loved that the chef still made effort to do RnD despite the crowds he had to serve. Truffle croquettes were 💯. I’d reccomend the octopus 🐙 leg and the paella 🥘 too. Unfortunately they retired their lamb chop. Best I ever had 🥲❤️. Drinks: Wolf Mistress and rose sangria for sure. Service: Amazing. Restaurant was very well-staffed and the food came to us really fast. Everyone is so lovely and friendly. Definitely will come back again for multiple meals if im back in London. (If you ever decide to open a restaurant, please pick Singapore ❤️)

Wonderful restaurant to eat Spanish food in London. The waiters were very kind to us, we ate the bread with tomato, the classic omelette and shrimp croquettes and everything was spectacular. Totally recommended.

I visited for my birthday and had an incredibly happy time! I made the reservation myself and mentioned, ‘It’s my birthday’ when booking. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a Happy Birthday plate, and to my surprise, they even gifted me a cake at the end with a birthday song! I never expected them to go this far, and it turned out to be such a wonderful birthday! I want to thank all the staff, especially Reggie and Maria. The food was also delicious☺️

Overpriced, small portions and very disappointing. Spent over £100 with only one drink, barely enough to feed 2. Food was average, nothing to write home about, wasn't cooked like the pictures people have posted here. Service staff were all friendly but won't be coming back.

When it comes to foraging for food in London, Lobos is the NO.1 Spanish restaurant in my heart! 🍴 Tucked away in the bustling city centre, it's low-key but with a great deal of substance inside, and you get the soul of Spain in every dish! 🙌

Had an amazing time here, the food was fantastic but portions were a little big for tapas (not a problem at all if you’re hungry!) Reggie was fantastic in helping us get a table & generally had fantastic client service, and our server for the rest of the dinner was Melissa who knew the menu very well, very friendly & made our evening really special. I would give 5 stars to everything if we managed to eat all of the food we ordered !

We came for a quick meal and ended up eating half the menu and stayed all evening!! Juan and Reggie were the most lovely and attentive staff. I would gladly come back just to say hello to them both !! The food was SENSATIONAL and so were the drinks ! Honestly could not recommend this place more, won’t be eating anywhere else in London ! i don’t usually post reviews on google map, but i’m confident to say that lobos is one of the best restaurants in london! my friend and i thought it was just a nice tapas restaurant, but lobos you have outdone yourself! a huge shoutout and thanks to the chefs for making such scrumptious food. we enjoyed every single one of the dishes, and i will definitely come back! thank you! 🫶🏻

Fabulous little tapas bar, always a pleasure to visit with great food. Despite not having a reservation and the street being busy with onlookers to the filming my server Aya has able to find a table, was very attentive, and didn't rush me. Sad to be there alone pn this visit, but glad to enjoy the reliably great food.

Very nice place and fair price for central London

Lobos has two locations in London, but I definitely recommend the one in SOHO. The overall food experience is much better compared to last time when I visited the London Bridge location. But it might be a coincidence — since the padron peppers were burnt last time at London Bridge. The staff at SOHO are very thoughtful and constantly check if everything is ok. My top recommendations: 🫑 paddron peppers, 🍳tortilla, 🐙 octopus legs - you MUST try this! It’s at great portion, and cooked with the right temperature so not burnt outside while tender & moist inside, 🖤black rice paella 🦐 the prawns remind me of a classic Chinese home-made prawn dish, it’s great to be a rice-companies dish lol The pork. Well… I love the sauce better than the meat itself — which is perfect for fatty juicy meat lover, but I LOVE the cilantro & lemon in the sauce! Very refreshing. Thank you :)

We visited on a Sunday afternoon, to celebrate a dear friends birthday. The staff were amazing they made our visit enjoyable from start to finish on a particularly hot day, they made it seem effortless. Shout out to the chefs who worked tirelessly to produce the most tasty tapas set menu. The freshness of food and flavours were noticeable to me, as I enjoyed a long and satisfying set menu, of meats, olives, octopus, prawns, and tomohawk steak. We left in a food coma, having had such a wonderful afternoon in a private upstairs room. A fabulous area for private dining of 20-25 people !! Thank you to Juan, Reggie and Maria who looked after us so well

There are many very good restaurants in soho, but I can say Lobos is exceptional the food is authentic and absolutely delicious. We had a birthday lunch today for 20 and I'm always worried about the service and the food coming out on time so everyone can eat together at the same time. We preordered a set menu and it was perfect. we only just managed to finish most dishes as it was more than enough for 20 of us. Juan, Maria and Reggie were on point especially Juan who injected some humor into service and with a smile. MIXED OLIVES Delicious! CHEESE SELECTION lovely selection! CHARCUTERIE BOARD 10/10 PADRON PEPPERS Fab!! BREAD (ALIOLI/OLIVE OIL) CROQUETAS really really good PRAWNS IN GARLIC Nice spicy kick PATATAS BRAVAS BLACK RICE very good GRILLED OCTOPUS LEG Amazing GREEN SALAD CHULETON Sirloin Steak on the bone! And they made me a homemade Dulce de leche cake that was delicious! Almost forget the ice-cream wow! I can honestly this was 10/10

An amazing meal for the 4 of us. We tried a lot of the tapas; pardon peppers, ham croquettes (AMAZING), manchego and quince, meatballs (very light and how they should be) morcilla (my favourite) all were so flavourful and well presented. Next we shared a special short rib dish that was tender and my dish of the day! We also went for the pork selection and green salad which were just delicious. We finished with a cheesecake and chocolate pistachio cake which we shared and loved! Reggie and Matthew were exemplar staff and had been attentive, welcoming and made the night! We will definitely be back as we all love Spanish cuisine, flavours and this place captured all of the elements so well!

Served from 5-9pm outside. Bought numerous drinks but couldn’t wait to get rid of us. Our bill was over £100 but they wanted us off the outside table despite us paying. Waiter asked us, £2000 for his attitude T-shirt. Management need to get a serious hold on here. Best Sarah

My best friend and I went to try out this restaurant, and we loved it! I’m Spanish, and the black rice can be the best black rice I have had in my life, including in Spain. I cannot wait to take my mom to try this rice—seriously, the best one ever! We ordered padron peppers, bravas, and coquettes. For drinks, the rose sangria is a must! We loved it. I have to say that I had a show too. Waiters from all restaurants started racing, and it was great! If you’re around Central and you want to try Spanish tapas, this is your restaurant!

It’s our first time coming to this place to celebrate our friends’ birthday. AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Not only the food was super delicious, but also the staff here were super friendly, especially the girl who helped us to get our cake and also the one whose birthday is coming up next Wednesday. Thank you all for making this meal special and unforgettable, will definitely visit again!!!

We had a really good Friday night dinner here. The food’s authentic and big portion. I have to give five stars to the beef as it’s well cooked and tastes like the meal I had in Spain a few years ago. Highly recommended xx!

Nothing served that you couldn't throw together from an upmarket supermarket for a fifth of the extortionate prices being charged here. £10 for two rounds of near-inedible stale bread was a particular lowlight.

Really decent Spanish tapas restaurant in Soho. My favourite dishes were the Presca Iberia with roasted peppers, the black squid ink paella, and the croquetas. Would definitely return to try more of the menu. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodated our birthday celebration requests. We spent about £50pp with a bottle of wine.

Menu very limited and non inspiring The croquets were tasteless - roasted aubergines were bitter and tasteless. The tahini was overpowering and bitter. The tortilla was bland. All in all very pour door and selection. Would defo not recommend. Worst Tapa I have ever had.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday meal a few weeks ago. I had such a lovely evening, all of the food was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful at recommending specials. I would recommend Lobos for anyone who loves tapas, and I will be back again! Pictured is the double chocolate and pistachio cake which was a delightful finish to a memorable meal!

The lobos sangria here is really like the one that I have drunk in Spain. I really like it. The foods were good and the service were quite friendly.

Good tapas evening after work. Value for money in Borough which isn’t always the case. I particularly enjoyed the secreto iberico in meat and croquettes in non-meat. The portions on non-meat items are quite large so you can’t taste whole menu at once and you enjoy more in groups of 4.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lobos, a charming tapas restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. The menu offered a delightful variety of tapas, each dish bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned patatas bravas to the fresh Pan con tomate every bite was a taste of Spain. We really enjoyed the patata bravas, prawn croquetas , roasted Aubergine and pan con tomate.Dining at Lobos was a memorable experience, thanks to the delicious food and the wonderful staff who made us feel right at home. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings. Highly recommended!

Early Lunch pre-theatre and the food was amazing. Service was attentive and friendly. Our favourite dishes were The 'Secreto' pork, the Broken Eggs, the white Anchovies and the Iberian Ham. However everything else was also delicious. Highly recommend.

it was ok. our tortilla was insanely, inedibly salty, even for me who loves salt. we asked for a redo and the staff were kind enough to make us another one, but unfortunately the fresh one was still super salty. meat dishes were small in portion and rather underwhelming. everything was just average
