Good tapas. The classic tortilla, chorizo in red wine and croquettes were delicious. Great service by the staffs and they gave pretty good recommendations too. The meat tapas were just ok I think. As for dessert, the double chocolate pistachio cake was abit too rich so best to share. We could get a table without reservation.

Went back here after a mediocre experience a couple of years ago, to see if things had changed. They haven’t, and this was an exact re-run of last time - seated at a tiny table at the very back of the restaurant with everyone else crammed into the same area, whilst the more spacious front area and high tables remained empty throughout. Ordered 5 tapas for 2 people and everything arrived almost immediately and at once, leaving no space on the table and a rush to eat. I see others have reported the same thing - they should really stagger the food delivery as other places do. The food was ok, croquetas were very good. I won’t be rushing back though as better options are available.

The food here is mediocre at best. If you’re craving authentic Spanish cuisine, you’re better off elsewhere as the quality doesn’t match the price. The restaurant is cramped, offering little to no space, and the service is practically non-existent.

My friend and I had some lovely tapas on a week day evening. The food was great quality and tasty however, the portion sizes could be a bit bigger for price. Dessert was gorgeous. Service was quite good although they were keen for us to leave after a couple of hours, even though the desserts took ages to come. Then somehow we were able to stay later into the evening.

Food was really fantastic, however we dined at 2.30pm and the restaurant was very quiet, shown to a table right at the back of the restaurant which we weren't too happy about. We love tapas and heard great reviews about the food so ordered 6 dishes, unfortunately all 6 dishes came at once which was ridiculous and not how tapas should be served, it simply ruined our experience. We were looking for a long lazy lunch but were done in 35 minutes. The waitress should be more informative about how to order and we were let down as we specifically asked how it would be served. I hope this criticism is taken positively, because, as I said at the outset, the food is truly great.

Not super impressive for quite a high price point, and we had to order more food because we were still hungry after our first round. Some dishes were nice, like the iberico pork sharing board and peppers. However, probably the worst patatas bravas of my life. Cold cubed potatoes with what seemed like tomato purée straight from a squeeze tube on top. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately :(

Good food but poor service - we were brought the bill without asking when we still had 20min of our booking left and were still drinking our wine, and the waitress asked us to immediately take payment. When we pointed out we still had time left, we were told that “the manager wanted payment to be taken” and that they would also need the table 5min before the end of our booking to prepare the table for the next group (the group hadn’t arrived yet when we left). I’ve been to lobos in borough before and had an enjoyable time, however went to Lobos in soho and had a very different experience. Let’s break it down…. Service: 3/5 - just above half pints here as most the staff were amazing however there were one of two who literally couldn’t give two hoots about being there and serving. Food: 2.5/5 overall. - Chorizo in wine 4/5 - Croquettes 2.5/5 lacked seasoning - Patatas bravas 3.5/5 standard nothing special. - Tortilla 2.5/5 well cooked but lacked any seasoning - Autumn sea bream -0/5 - Terrible!! An extremely underwhelming dish with a complete clash of flavours and textures. The squash purée with orange did not go well with the fish and was left by the whole group. The fried spring onion garnish was more burnt than fired. And if you’re going to keep the skin on the fish, it needs to be crispy which this was not. - Iberico pork - 3/5 average sized portion with 2 small pieces of red pepper - Meatballs 4/5 - possibly the most tasteful out of all the dishes - Dulce leche cheesecake 4/5 - Crema Catalan 4/5 Value 1/5 - for the amount each dish costs with the size of portions you do feel a little hard done. Especially when it’s not the tastiest of foods Overall, I’m not sure I would recommend lobos soho.

The food is really salty. Size is pretty decent for a tapas. But steak and octopus is really old even when asking for medium rare. The atmosphere is really crowded you can hear everything which is fine but annoying when you have multiple plates of tapas trying to fit onto a small table. Had to send the tomato on bread back to the kitchen becuase it was so heavy on the salt made me and my friends gums hurt. We could barely touch the aubergine just purely because it was just sodium dosed. Because we could barely finish things due to how salt it was ask for a takeaway box and they tell us they only have aluminum foil. For the price we are paying I am extremely unhappy.

Good service but average tapas. There are many better places in Soho and London that offer much better tapas. Pretty decent: tortilla, prawn croquetas, anchovies in vinaigrette Not great: patatas bravas - not crispy and the bravas sauce was just a tin of chopped tomato’s. Awful: Garlic prawns - served with the prawns digestive tract not removed. For £15 for 4 prawns, they should really remove the poo tract. It’s basic food prep 101. We did send them back and the server was lovely and accommodated. Bang average tapas really, fine for a last min dinner in Soho but plenty of tastier options nearby.

Cozy place but be ready to hear every single word of the conversation from your neighbor if you get seated at the back of the restaurant. Service was nice but we didn't realize they got our order wrong when we have already had half the dish. Our favorite dish has to be the tortilla of the day. Tomato bread and garlic shrimp is quite alright as well but didn't wow us. Wine here is relatively cheap but it's small so in reality, it's not that cheap.

Dinner with a friend, the service was lovely but the food average, not somewhere I would recommend. Also tapas dishes should come staggered but everything came all at once very quickly, leading to the conclusion items not made to order but pre cooked as hot items were luke warm. The one dish sent back; pan con tomate had absolutely no flavour but as mentioned the service was good so this was taken off bill with apologies. Very conveyor belt experience, when asked if I’d like anything else I said I’d wait for my friend to return from restroom to then be told “I need the table back in 20 mins”. Very average experience also the octopus was nice but a little chewy and stringy in places.

We had a really good time here. It is on the edge of Soho, so it is busy! Tables are close together and it is not the place to go to for a relaxing meal. It is noisy and busy, but it has a good atmosphere. Service is fast and perfunctory, I didn't get the feeling the waiters 'cared' about our experience, they just wanted food out quickly and correctly. We were on the second floor and could see everything in the kitchen. It was mesmerising, food was coming out so quickly, consistently well. We had grilled octopus, black paella rice and 600g chuleton. Food was really very good, excellent. Drinks were not so great.. cava was hideous, lobos sangria was just odd.. wine was good Food and drink was close to £200. For the quality of food I am happy, but for the quality of dining experience it now seems a bit steep. Maybe I was expecting a quieter environment?

We ate here on Wednesdy night, and I have got to say we loved it - food was great, atmosphere was great and wasn't very expensive. We did have tapas style food - olives, padron peppers, patatas brava, prawns ali oli, squid ink paella, and we also had cheese selection - so maybe not the most challenging for the chefs....however the prawns were some of the best we have had.. WARNING - This restaurant hazardously does not accurately identify or label allergens despite serving a common one (mussels). I am going to be a bit harsh on this issue in hopes that the Management might get the message and fix things. I tried to explain my concern to the wait staff and they were simply defensive and flummoxed by my points. Lobos does NOT label the inclusion of mussels in its paella. In fact, it explicitly excludes mention of them in the list of ingredients that it does show (see photo). Since some paellas are made without Paella, and since I am seriously allergic to mussels, I was delighted to see their Black Rice Paella that did not contain mussels. When I received my dish, I noticed some suspiciously shellfish-looking pieces in it and asked the waitress (who did not ask if I had allergies) if they were mussels. English was not her first language and she had trouble understanding what I was asking so she went to check their "allergen" guide (see photo). She responded that the paella has "mollusks". I replied, "Yes, I know that because the menu lists squid as an ingredient which is a mollusk. But does it have 'mussels'?" This confused her as well as she tried to Google "mussels" on her iphone and said "Mussels is a mollusk." I replied, "Yes, I know, but many things are mollusks and I am only allergic to 'mussels'." When they finally asked the chef, they clarified that, yes, this paella DID contain mussels. To which I replied that they really needed to include that on the ingredient list. To which they replied "Well, we can't include every ingredient on the menu." (face palm) Lobos needs to change is menu writing immediately or be at risk of negligent delinquency to its duty of care to its customers. Other than that, the food was delightful and delicious as many other reviews testify.

The octopus got rave reviews from my Japanese companions. It was £178 for 3. We didn't drink/eat that much. Probably reasonable for central London and this restaurant style. They have a 1.5h table limit, which wasn't strictly enforced for us, but it seems short for tapas. We had just cancelled our Saturday night dinner booking due to a menu misunderstanding so were winging it through Soho when we came across Lobos. We'd had a good meal here a couple of years ago so we poked our heads in and got offered counter seats downstairs. This turned out to be one of those typical basement rooms where they just pack in the overflow from the rooms they actually spent the money on. The counter height/stool height ratio was a bit off so it wasn't very comfortable to eat at. The counter was a bar top though the fully-stocked bar wasn't used for anything except dispensing water so appeared a complete waste of space. The food was pretty average at best. We've had superb tapas in Lincoln, Preston and Fitzrovia this year and this was far below any of those places. Nice bread though. Overall disappointing.

Conveniently located in central london, this tapas and steak places fors both things very well. i must shoutout for the staff as well, we stayed well over the closing time but not once did the staff ask us to leave! to top it off we asked them for a fairly extensive photo session. the relaxed atmosphere of the place makes for easy conversation.

Excellent food and service. I went here for dinner with a friend this evening and I thought the tapas was great. There's a decent but not overwhelming selection to choose from, and everything I tried was good quality and tasted fresh. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made our experience an enjoyable one. I would definitely return in future. I recommend trying the chorizo.

Average for Spanish food. Waiters were friendly but didn’t know much about wine recommendations.

Food is not bad, but not too impressive and feels overpriced. (maybe expectation was too high).

First time going to a tapas place and this was an incredible experience. The service was attentive and friendly while having good knowledge of the menu and the customer. The food was fantastic. My friend said her favorite was the croquettes and the peppers which were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. My favorite were the potatoes that came with the pork as the green sauce was the best I’ve ever had. I also recommend the chorizo a vino as this was second place for me. The sangria is a must as well as some dessert. Overall, highly recommend stopping by and trying whatever sounds best to you.

the food was probably good it's just the portion size was too small to actually taste it !! I have never ever seen such a ridiculous small amount of seafood on a paella (approx 15g in total) and the only secret bit of the pork iberico is probably why there were only 3 tiny pieces ... seriously this is just greedy beyond reason.

Went for dinner to celebrate my friend’s birthday. What we ordered: - bread: good but took a long time to bring olive oil and balsamic vinegar - padron peppers: really good flavour and quantity. Larger quantity than most tapas restaurants - patatas bravas: sauce was flavourful, potato was crispy on the outside. Overall good side dish but nothing special - black rice paella: standout dish! Balanced flavours and good consistency on the rice. - steak: most reviews said the steak was the best thing at Lobos but I’m not sure I agree. We ordered it medium and I felt it was a bit overcooked. Staff were amazing and gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house for my friend’s birthday. I’d overall say food is 3/5 and service/atmosphere are a 5.

Little taps restaurant in the heart of Soho. Price a little bit over my expectation. The star was the Octupus leg.

No volveremos nunca seguro.
