I recently visited Lobos, a Spanish cuisine restaurant, and it fell far short of my expectations. The first impression was of a cramped, noisy space that didn’t allow for a comfortable dining experience. The staff was friendly seemed prepared, with a few mishaps throughout the evening. As for the food, the portions were very small, and given the exorbitant prices, nothing stood out as impressive. While the presentation was somewhat thoughtful, the dishes didn’t manage to shine in any way. The atmosphere tried to evoke the authenticity of Spanish cuisine, but it didn’t quite succeed. The overall value for money is completely skewed: the tiny portions and high costs just don’t justify the experience. Additionally, there was an issue with billing. Some friends who left earlier in the evening found themselves being asked to pay extra, despite already having fully settled their bill. This added further disappointment to the evening. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. An expensive, noisy experience that leaves you hungry.

Nice central location, good food, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Head Chef, he makes the best dishes. It is worthwhile to come and try his culinary skills. Well done Chef ! 👍🏼

Traditional and classic Spanish cuisine, but at a serious premium because of its good location. The grilled octopus legs are delicious, but the others are just average.

We had the most wonderful meal at Lobos, as part of my birthday celebrations. Such a great atmosphere! The food was amazing and the staff were all very lovely, friendly, polite and made me feel very special. Special thanks to Sabriin for fantastic service! We didn't have time to stay for dessert, but we will ensure that we will next time. Thank you to all! 🙏🏻

This place is a vibe! 10/10 would recommend to anyone for a group catch up. Now if Sabrina is working… you take that queen’s advice! She knew exactly what I needed to order and my word was she amazing!!!! Leave room for dessert!

It was great when they first opened, but the food quality and portions have gone downhill. The place feels way too small for how crowded it gets. Hopefully, they can get back to what it used to be.

Very gooooooood food with perfect service! I really appreciate the thoughtful service of Timothy! We have a birthday dinner here and Timothy prepared a surprise (cheesecake on the menu) with the birthday song. I definitely would recommend my friends to enjoy this restaurant!👏 (Btw they have the best ice cream I’ve ever had)

Bonito lugar y muy agradable invitado a entrar. Después de eso parecía que cada miembro del personal olvidó que nosotros y otros huéspedes estábamos en esa esquina del restaurante. Totalmente ignorado! Finalmente pudimos pedir y beber se ofreció como excusa... pero llegó después de terminar la comida. Intenté llamar la atención por Bill, pero estas chicas simplemente no miran a su alrededor! Buena comida pero muy pobre personal y experiencia en hospitalidad.

Lovely little tapas find in the heart of soho. Food was great and the service was wonderful. Special shout out to Daisy for being so helpful and welcoming! 4 of us had 8 plates and bread and it was perfect for food before heading to see a show. Would 100% recommend.

Great staff and delicious food. 7 dishes between three of us and it was the perfect amount (2 were full, 1 could have nibbled on a little more food) I'll definitely come back/recommend this place amongst friends. It's not a big space so I would recommend booking.

Stay clear at all costs! Food isn't bad but portions are tiny and overpriced, the seating arrangement is extremely crammed and you are basically eating off of someone else's plate. In addition, they only give you 90mins to finish everything, me and my family were asked to leave half way through our main courses which completely ruined our experience. They're clearly are trying to maximise revenue over letting customers enjoy the experience, you feel like you are just a cog in the machine. Customer service after was awful and now the company is ignoring legitimate complaints. Very unprofessional and I would urge anyone reading this to not waste your money. There are much better and more authentic tapas restaurants in London.

We spotted this as we came out of the side door of the theatre. As luck would have it they had one table left. What a find. It is a small, cosy restaurant spread over a couple of floors. They serve tapas style food, with a bit of an update for the more modern palette. We could not have been happier. The food was absolutely delicious- every dish. The service was exceptional from very friendly staff who made you feel nothing was too much trouble. The portions were generous and every dish tasted wonderful. We would most definitely return.

It was my first time. We went to the top floor and we have been seated by the kitchen. The best experience ever. Amazing head chef Dani engaging with the waiters and us and him being proud of what he and his team do. It’s amazing to see! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you. Dani the head chef made is so amazing.

Always a great choice for tapas when in Soho, been many times and never disappointed.

Lobos Soho is quite a small restaurant and can only cater for groups up to 4 downstairs. As a group o 6 we had to wait maybe 15 minutes for our prebooked table upstairs in quite an airy attractive room. For a while we were the only diners up there which was good except the waiter didn't check on us so we couldn't order further dishes/drinks/get a spoon without going in search of him. Then just as we were finishing our savoury dishes we were joined by a very noisy group of 16! We didn't stay for dessert! We were surprised our manzanilla sherry was served warmish rather than chilled - this is a Spanish restaurant after all. The stand out dishes were the octopus, prawns, and Iberico pork. The squid ink paella wasn't good, it was dry and stuck onto the bottom of the dish so we could only get two thirds out of it and there seemed to be just one prawn in the whole dish, definitely not worth its hefty price tag. Sadly we had ordered two. All the dishes were on the small side. Not sure we would visit again.

The steak was okay, the snacks were too salty. Even with a 25% discount, it’s still a bit expensive

Excellent service, wonderful food. The chef is too kind and generous. The portions are of good size and exquisite flavor. Highly recommended for lovers of good Spanish food in London. If you speak Spanish they serve you with special affection :-)

Bartender is rude , same as the host or the woman in the bar . Very poor interaction with the costumer no smile or anything just kinda telling you what’s to do … won’t come back

Aside from the food being amazing, the service was impeccable. Nick treated us like family and made us feel so welcome. The rest of the team was amazing as well, but I unfortunately didn’t get their names. Coming from NYC, we were truly impressed. If you come, definitely ask if Nick is working…. and get one of everything on the menu.

We had an exceptional midweek tapas meal as a family. The menu suggests classic dishes, which were all delicious. I thought the olives, ham croquetas and iberico pork platter were particularly good (but in truth, nothing was bad). Quick and attentive service too. Second time visiting and will return!

Chose this spot after lots of research for where would be best for a special occasion (my 30th) after looking at the previous reviews and photos this spot did not disappoint. We were seated upstairs facing the kitchen which was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with outstanding customer service and hospitality. The staff could not have been more helpful. We chose a couple of different dishes and the arrival of them was timed perfectly meaning the table was not overcrowded at any point. Had a lovely recommended cocktail and free bubbly on the house for the occasion which was a lovely touch and to finish a slice of on the house cheesecake was sensation. Would definitely go back again! All dishes were faultless!! Forgot to get a photo of the prawn croquettes or the grilled chorizo and Marcella but they were sensational!

DISHONEST AND UNFRIENDLY STAFF Lobos was, unfortunately, the only negative experience we had in London. We made a reservation for 7pm, and were told the earliest we could come was 6:30. Upon arriving at 6:30, a waitress informed us that it would just be two minutes as they were setting up our table, leading us to believe we would be seated shortly. During our 30-minute wait outside, various members of our party went in to check on the status of the table, only to receive the same response: “we will check the table for you.” There was no further update. When I confronted the waitress at 7, she denied saying any of the above, claimed we must have misheard her, and insisted 7 was when we should be seated. I could not think of a reason for us to lie about what had been said. We decided to ditch the table that was finally ready for us after 7, leaving the restaurant feeling deeply disappointed by the dishonesty, neglect, and poor attitude we encountered. Btw, during our long wait outside in the freezing cold wind, we overheard two other parties complaining about the food being mediocre and the portions being small. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone👎😊

The portions are incredibly small even for tapas given the prices. They are charging full amounts for not shareable tiny portions. Risotto supposedly has squid but you can't see it, very little flavor, and ONE prawn cut into four pieces. Barely covers the bottom of a shallow dish. Grilled octopus not very crispy and comes with a very cold sauce.

Booked up before theatre for family of 5, kids 12-16. Service was good and friendly but rest was just lacking, lacking in a little music or ambiance! Food was small and even the best dishes of chorizo and prawn dish were just okay! Rib eye small and chewy! Overall left still peckish and £250 experience! Toilets disgusting at all levels dirty no soup and dis report this but nothing seemed to change. We eat a lot of tapas and I mistakingly thought this would suit whole family as has some lovely looking steak and pork dishes but was wrong

Great flavours but portions were a joke. We had the shrimp, squid ink paella and it was like they cut 1 shrimp into several pieces; no squid was found. The Iberico Pork was very good, but overall I wouldn’t recommend or go back

Visited on New Year’s Eve 8.30 pm. Staff in Soho restaurant were really lovely and food was amazing. Great atmosphere seated by window with good views. Unfortunately the toilets that were gender neutral were absolutely disgusting.. Floors were literally swimming in p***l! vile and unusable (for women)? Such a shame as food was good but for that reason would not return,

I booked a table weeks ago. I was sat on a stool in the window. Said I was t sitting there they offered me a stool at the bar. I booked a table.

So disappointed. Used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Central London. Rations are getting smaller, food quality much lower, prices higher. Now £50 per person for lower-than-average food quality, and I left hungry :(

Aya was our waitress, we had an amazing evening for a girls night out. The atmosphere upstairs was perfect and we had a nice view of the kitchen and everything flowed well for our meal. The food was delicious, we can't wait to come back and would definitely recommend this place. The warm welcome and kindness we were shown was so lovely. Thank you to Aya!

Recommended by a friend which turned up 10 mins late but during that time got harassed rudely to order the food. Didn't know what to order as we wanted to choose with our friend. Also got rushed to finish our food which was quite nice. Would we visit this place again because of the food? Probably. But because of this experience, it's not going to be a first choice sadly.

As a regular traveller to Spain, I’d have to say that the food here is not so authentically Spanish. The jamón was average. Prawns were done in a different way. Sizes of plates were small. We spent £50 per person but we were not full.

Would definitely recommend! The service was great for our anniversary, the champagne glass was a really special extra thank you❤️ The food was delicious! Not a pork lover, but goshhh this was good pork here. Edward and Nick did a great job entertaining us this evening. Thanks once again!

The taste is so-so, but the prices are quite high since it's in central London.

I have visited this little restaurant quite a few times and the food is always excellent. A really interesting selection of dishes all thoughtfully prepared. The meat is of course great quality, but the other dishes are also tasty with top quality ingredients, a particular favourite of my daughters is the outstanding Octopus dish. There is a good length interesting wine list. The place always has a nice buzz and the service is always great. Having said that (in the interests of transparency) they made a small error when I ordered last night, but without my asking gave me a substantial discount on my bill out of proportion to the inconvenience we suffered. For me that was a sign of how much they care about getting it right.

We came to celebrate birthday here. The restaurant has treated us Champaign and sang us a birthday song! Nice and friendly staff! Food is also amazing, definitely would visit again x

Mmm. Wouldn’t go back. Expensive. Very rushed. Ok we were a few minutes late but from ordering to finished eating in 30 mins? Starters followed by mains before starters were finished. To cap it all we were then given a 15 minute warning that our 90 minute time allocation was nearly up…alternatively time to go! Disappointing.

Have my birthday here! All the food and drink taste good, especially the chocolate cake (like ice cream, melting on the tongue)! The service was amazing! All they were with good attitude and positive smile! And so kind to sing a birthday song and took a little candle on the cake! Good memories here:)

Really good portion sizes. Loved the Broken Eggs in particular, could eat that as it's own meal! However found the steak to be too salty, and service was slow.

Food really good, staff amazing but there is one problem… the music. Awful commercial playlist from Spotify. We had to have dessert outside as that was terrible. Do something about that, this is really bad for a nice place, and not nice with the staff who agreed with us 😆

By far the worst food experience ever. Food was mildly warm, poor quality and massively over priced -including the tiniest imaginable bottles of coke. We order 10 tapas dishes and the £48 steak. Our party of 5 were served 3 tiny dishes at a time and waited about 20 minutes between each serving. The steak did not arrive at all. When queried it was served shortly afterwards completely cold on a cold plate. Extremely disappointing experience. Definitely not recommended.

Made a reservation for 7:15pm on 19 October and reservation was confirmed. Arrived at 7:10pm and was told to wait as table wasn’t ready. Waited until 7:25pm and went to check again, and was informed that table was still not ready. In the meantime, 3 groups were seated. What’s the point of making a reservation if it’s not going to be honoured? Frankly, disappointing.

Iberico Pork selection is perfect for sharing , food is great for meat dishes and octopus leg is amazing however other tapas dish fell short and I wasn’t expecting bottle beer in this place

We got three items as we just wanted a nibble before dinner. Wait staff came across as a little put off and slammed a bottle quite heavily on our table. 1. Ham - hard and seemed a bit stale 2. Bread - cold and hard 3. Broken eggs - potatoes were crisp and egg runny, but otherwise bland and overdosed with oil and paprika. Tables so close to each other you might as well be double dating with the couple on the next table. How did this place get so many 5 star reviews? It is beyond me

If you go to London and don't go through Lobos a uuuuuuuu being Spanish you don't know what you're missing. Great place to have a good time with the family and good service and food. Oh and ask about Aya from Malaga haha ​​great girl and above all about Mathew... you won't miss it

Was in London for a month, and I ate here 10 times. The chef cooks with so much passion and love, and you can taste it through all of the dishes. Food: Chuletón 🥩 was downright my favourite! It is always done perfectly and tastes amazing. The Chef’s Special was continuously evolving and the last version of it was our favourite. Loved that the chef still made effort to do RnD despite the crowds he had to serve. Truffle croquettes were 💯. I’d reccomend the octopus 🐙 leg and the paella 🥘 too. Unfortunately they retired their lamb chop. Best I ever had 🥲❤️. Drinks: Wolf Mistress and rose sangria for sure. Service: Amazing. Restaurant was very well-staffed and the food came to us really fast. Everyone is so lovely and friendly. Definitely will come back again for multiple meals if im back in London. (If you ever decide to open a restaurant, please pick Singapore ❤️)

Wonderful restaurant to eat Spanish food in London. The waiters were very kind to us, we ate the bread with tomato, the classic omelette and shrimp croquettes and everything was spectacular. Totally recommended.

I visited for my birthday and had an incredibly happy time! I made the reservation myself and mentioned, ‘It’s my birthday’ when booking. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a Happy Birthday plate, and to my surprise, they even gifted me a cake at the end with a birthday song! I never expected them to go this far, and it turned out to be such a wonderful birthday! I want to thank all the staff, especially Reggie and Maria. The food was also delicious☺️

When it comes to foraging for food in London, Lobos is the NO.1 Spanish restaurant in my heart! 🍴 Tucked away in the bustling city centre, it's low-key but with a great deal of substance inside, and you get the soul of Spain in every dish! 🙌

Overpriced, small portions and very disappointing. Spent over £100 with only one drink, barely enough to feed 2. Food was average, nothing to write home about, wasn't cooked like the pictures people have posted here. Service staff were all friendly but won't be coming back.

Had an amazing time here, the food was fantastic but portions were a little big for tapas (not a problem at all if you’re hungry!) Reggie was fantastic in helping us get a table & generally had fantastic client service, and our server for the rest of the dinner was Melissa who knew the menu very well, very friendly & made our evening really special. I would give 5 stars to everything if we managed to eat all of the food we ordered !

We came for a quick meal and ended up eating half the menu and stayed all evening!! Juan and Reggie were the most lovely and attentive staff. I would gladly come back just to say hello to them both !! The food was SENSATIONAL and so were the drinks ! Honestly could not recommend this place more, won’t be eating anywhere else in London !
