Came for my Birthday, lovely place super friendly from moment we moved in, was served by a lovely gentlemen Cameron was honestly the sweetest! Took his time to answer any questions, to explain the menu for us, I never leave reviews but 100% had to for how amazing the staff and food was! Food 10/10!!

Exceptionally service. Especially big thanks to our waiter Christian Adekunle for taking good care of us the whole night! Also I really recommend the potato bread, 10/10.

Great restaurant with impressive food, especially the vegetarian options, which offered a variety of delicious choices. The warm ambiance made it a perfect place to dine with friends. Despite us running late, the staff welcomed us professionally and even surprised us with a thoughtful gesture for my friend's birthday. I’m giving 3 stars instead of five due to some unnecessary movement of the staff around the restaurant. Still, it’s a fantastic spot—especially in London, where finding a good food can be challenging.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at this high-end restaurant in Mayfair was so bad that I feel I have to share it so everyone knows what to expect. Whilst the food was really nice, the service and overall experience were quite a disaster. We were a group of 5 friends celebrating a birthday after work. We had initially ordered a bottle of Australian wine – a blend of Grenache, Nero d'Avola, Montepulciano, and Syrah. Instead, we were served a completely different wine – a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. When we asked for clarification, the waitress, initially very nice, seemed completely unaware of what we were talking about and had to call another staff member to assist. The guy tried to justify the alternative claiming it was “the same wine,” and then saying “this is what the supplier sent us”, but clearly had no knowledge of the topic. We requested to speak with a Sommelier, but told they were off that day. Very weird that a 3 floors restaurant in the heart of Berkley Square doesn’t have a sommelier on a Thursday night. True that the restaurant was quite empty, but the service should always be guaranteed, unless you can train your waiters to cover for it. We’ve been offered to pick another wine or to have cocktails instead (preferred option at that point) but the wine was already poured in our glasses and never removed from our table, although no one was initially drinking it. When it came time to pay, we noticed the wine was still included in the bill. After questioning it, the waitress removed the charge with a patronizing attitude, implying we should have paid for it because we had drunk from our glasses. This was beyond unprofessional, as the full glasses had remained untouched throughout the dinner, and they should have been removed immediately once the inconvenience happened. To make things worse, when we requested to split the bill, one of us was overcharged by around £30. Instead of handling the issue professionally, the waitress dismissed our concerns huffing that it was a “machine error.” She called the manager who made no attempt at all to solve the issue, and instead suggested we just transfer the money between us (clearly to spare them the hustle of dealing with this.) The overall behavior was not only unhelpful but also quite insulting. As we were leaving, we thanked the italian waitress and she completely ignore us with an audaciously rude attitude. On top of all this, the security guy approached us in the ladies' toilet and told us to leave. We were still waiting for our coats, and this unnecessary confrontation only added to the humiliation of an already miserable experience. It wasn’t even midnight but they just wanted to close the door and leave. We are a group of professionals with extensive experience in customer facing jobs and hospitality, so we know how to be understanding and that mistakes can happen, but those people attitude went way too far and instead of making up they kept making things worse. The complete lack of professionalism and accountability from the staff was unforgivable, especially in a luxury restaurant. We deeply regret paying the service charge and will be sharing this experience with anyone we know. They are probably used to a type of customer who wouldn’t care or even realise to be served a wrong wine or to be treated with bad manners. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience with a service in line with the price you pay, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. They are overestimating themselves and clearly cannot even afford a qualified and experienced staff.

I’m a repeat customer and usually have the best experience but this time left a sour taste. We came for Valentine’s Day under the impression this was A La Carte as there were specific dishes we wanted. Upon being seated we were told there was only a set menu, we asked if there was any option to switch a few of the dishes but no substitutions were allowed, this wasn’t communicated on booking through opentable, on the website or ahead of coming to the restaurant by staff - if this had been done we’d have just moved the booking to a time we could eat what we wanted. We explained we were disappointed as we wanted to have certain dishes and the approach we had from maitre D (a french man) was essentially tough luck and he told us it was a “take it or leave it” situation being rather abrupt with us. Very much a “there’s nothing I can do” vs trying to improve our experience given the restaurant were the ones who had miscommunicated to us. I am a repeat customer since Ali was managing and usually have a lovely waiter called Tiger and I know if he had been serving us the service would have been much better. As a repeat customer it’s just unfortunate at the treatment we had this time and has put me off wanting to rush back when there’s so many alternatives that provide better service.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Mayfair! The atmosphere is always amazing, the staff are super friendly and attentive, and the food is just incredible. The live music on weekends makes dinner even more special. I can’t recommend this place enough - if you love great food and a great vibe, you’ll love it here!

Brilliant restaurant experience! The food and service were beyond expectation and the live music was superb. The potato bread was to die for! I am going back just for that. The wait staff could not have been more humble, efficient, attentive and kind. Overall this was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in London. Really impressed!

5* across the board. Absolutely everyone & everything was perfect. ALL the staff were friendly and courteous. The drinks & food was sublime. Decor & ambience was perfect. Definitely not a place for children but they so kindly accommodated my son, he was thrilled.

The dishes are divine, special mention for the hummus. Little extra being able to transform meat dishes into vegan dishes, like this excellent beetroot “pastrami”. Everything was perfect.

Shocked by how much I absolutely loved every. single. plate. To start off, the ambience was perfect for a light chatter and warm welcome. Great balance between fine dining but comfortable. The waiter was lovely. The food was impeccable. Came for sister’s birthday dinner and she loveeeddd it. Will be coming back soon to see the live jazz. Highly recommend the Charcoal grill prawns and the grilled octopus. The smoked aubergine and the potato bread was immaculate as well. Thank you for having us. See you soon.

How lucky are we to have our very busy and specialist off license morph into the most fantastic wine bar selling a very large selection of wines, with food and special event nights. Always a great atmosphere and John and his team are great hosts.

Atheistically pleasing - attentive staff - fabulous food. Jeru hosted our Christmas Party. The photos represent dishes we selected as canopies. Everyone was very happy! Cocktails really got the tastebuds tingling too! Now, I’m not a fan of unisex toilets. HOWEVER, just look at them! Gorgeous! And they are kept pristine! I was pleasantly surprised because restaurants usually skimp out on the toilets. Jeru has set the standard. Would love to go back with friends for dinner.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Jeru, honestly a beautifully designed venue in the heart of Mayfair. The decor and atmosphere were exactly what you’d expect from this location.The live performer added to the ambiance, providing enjoyable entertainment without being overwhelming, which was a nice touch. While the setting was impressive, the service didn’t quite match the standards I’d expect. When placing my order, I requested an additional item that unfortunately never arrived. Despite mentioning this to the staff, it was never rectified, which was disappointing. Adding to the service issues, the couple seated next to us voiced their frustration about being served a cold coffee—another detail that highlighted inconsistencies in the overall experience. That said, the food was absolutely brilliant. Each dish we did receive was delicious and the flavors were spot on. It’s a shame that the service didn’t meet the same high standards, as it slightly dampened an otherwise wonderful evening. All in all, Jeru has a lot going for it—great food, stunning decor, and an enjoyable atmosphere—but the service could use some polishing

Staff were very nice and the food was great! The starters were the stars of the show so I would say get more of the starters and side dishes since the mains were average and limited. Do try the fresh fish though.

Overpriced. My blind 90 year old nan could make better chicken, the honey dough balls wernt bad. overall if you’re rich and bored come to this place . If not just stick to nandos.

I thought the food was very delicious. The hummus, in particular, was exceptional in both taste and presentation. (I really liked the serving style with mushrooms and pickles.) The tuna “ortodo” met expectations; the green sauce was perfectly balanced, and the pickles were a great choice for the Mediterranean theme. The slight tanginess and salty balance were spot on. The octopus was cooked perfectly. The lamb shoulder had great flavor and presentation. However, the portion was too large, and we felt like it needed some additional side dishes. The meat was tender and well-cooked, and the presentation was lovely, but the portion size was overwhelming. Perhaps serving it with something like mashed potatoes might make it more balanced—though, of course, the chef knows best! The service was excellent. However, could you kindly pass along a suggestion to the reception staff? It might be better if they wait until guests are seated and settled before asking about drinks. Being asked what I’d like to drink before even taking off my coat felt a bit rushed and overwhelming. Giving guests some time to settle at their tables would make the experience more comfortable. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful experience. The service was truly excellent!

The service was impeccable, with every member of the team exuding charm, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring our experience was nothing short of perfect. As for the food, it was nothing short of divine. We began with their signature starters, including the Baba Ghanoush with Smoked Olive Oil and the Jeru Mezze Platter, each bite showcasing an extraordinary depth of flavor and freshness. The Lamb Kofta was perfectly seasoned, while the Spiced Roasted Cauliflower was a revelation, achieving a perfect balance of crispness and tenderness. For the mains, the 48-hour Braised Beef Short Rib stole the show, melting in the mouth with a luscious richness that left us speechless. Had to wait 35 minutes for a table for two when we arrived. Staff just said the restaurant was busy and didn’t really bother to help out. While we were waiting there were these two annoying videographers who were dashing around constantly with a bright LED flashlight - ruined the atmosphere and seemed like they were more fussed about promotion than service. Food was average at best, wouldn’t really say it’s better than places I’ve been for half the price. Overall pretty underwhelmed and wouldn’t recommend.

Quite dissapointing. They didn't plan accordingly for the reservation my friend made and we were on top of each other. Same happened to the table next to us. The service was very slow and the staff didn't always communicate well in English. On top of that the service charge was 15%. The food was average, far from the price point. Not a great idea for a nice dinner with friends. Would not recommend.

We was really exited about visiting Jeru the door host was exeptional very friendly even suggested some recommendations for us to try really enjoyed his professional and friendly elegant manners, it all changed when I headed over to the reception time such arrogant rudeness I couldn’t believe when I asked we have a table booked for 10:30 the receptionist replayed “yes but it’s not 10:30 so you can wait” I was so embarrassed and lost for words! These women at the reception have no clue how mayfair clients expect to be spoke with and it’s a shame that this is the etiquette you have representing such a exceptional venue I mean the food was a 10/10 ! We had great conversation with the manager and our waitress was so wonderful! The entertainment is also fabulous! I can’t help but think the first faces you interact with as you walk in make the most impression on people and taking away the door host who was fab if I hadn’t spoken to him and seen the receptionist first I would of left without even thinking to address this violation! We understand you are busy and situations can be tricky however, being solution focused is key !

I recently went to Jeru with a friend and had such a great time! From the moment we arrived, the service was spot-on. Our server was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering—really added to the relaxed vibe of the place. As for the food, wow! Everything we tried was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and just packed with flavor. The sides were on point too—definitely some thought and care put into the whole menu. All in all, Jeru really nailed it. Amazing food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to eat and unwind!

Recently visited Jeru with a friend and had an excellent experience. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, the food was amazing and their resident band tied the whole experience together. I’d return again and strongly recommend their amazing steak selection.

We visited this restaurant today as a group of 10, and while the interior is beautifully designed and creates a nice atmosphere, it’s all wasted when the service is as poor as we experienced. The waitress rushed us to order, claiming the kitchen was about to close, which made the entire experience stressful from the start. Worse, she kept pushing past us from behind while walking through, instead of simply saying “excuse me.” The food is overpriced for the portion sizes, and although the restaurant advertises itself as “Mediterranean cuisine” the manager is Israeli, which IS misleading. Don’t let the fancy decor fool you! This place is not worth your visit, time OR money.

i just went to this restaurant with 10 people and we did a reservation and were impressed by tiktok videos. honestly review speak for themselves. the service was horrible and very rude. we were rushed to order quickly. secondly they pushed us when going around the tables. when going outside for a smoke the guy upcoming was telling us to leave the place? too expensive for this terrible service. secondly this is not really mediterranean food. the owner is an iranian and the cook is an australian israeli guy. dont let these people on TikTok fool you.

The food was OK but nothing special, there are much much better restaurants in London. The service, however, was terrible. They pushed us back and forth, stressed us out when ordering, took the order incorrectly, delivered the food before the drinks, and for some of us didn't bring the cutlery until 10 minutes after the food arrived. For the price it's definitely not worth it. Don't let Tiktok fool you!

Firstly, we had a table booked but we was around 20 mins early so we asked the waitress if we can use the loo and if they can tell us where it is. We was told to use the downstairs bathroom. After only two minutes of using the bathroom, we was shouted at but another customer as it was a “private party” and we wasn’t allowed to be there. When staff told us we was allowed. After being shouted at we wasn’t about to leave till another waitress came storming us telling us to leave, as we’re leaving I was waiting for my friend and another customer decided to jump in, shout and this is a private party and we shouldn’t be here. I prefaced to her we have been this twice , we didn’t need to hear it the 3rd time and she could see we was making our way back upstairs. She decided to yap on and continue talking about how we wasn’t allowed and I said to her go relax as I’m waiting for my friend. If we wasn’t allowed to be in that part of the restaurant, we should’ve been told that from the start and the rude customers who thought it was okay to shout, should’ve left it to staff or could’ve handled it in a nicer way. We asked where the toilets were again to another staff member and she said theres toilets downstairs. Why isn’t staff being told the same information about having a party downstairs? As this waitress was clearly clueless. Staff was so rude. During our meal, waitress forgot one of my friends drinks, and after asking two staff if we could have it they gave it after 30 mins with numerous reminders. After eating our meal, we asked for the bill to be split and service charge to be taken off as the staff were extremely incompetent. The waitress was pulling a hiss fit infront of all of us swearing because she had to split the bill and take off service charge. She was swearing to herself. Where’s the professionalism? Sorry but it was completely unacceptable and I will not recommend this place or ever return. Save your money x

A disappointing visit. I’ve been a regular customer but we went today for lunch and service was very poor. Ordered still water, they poured sparkling. Asked to keep the menu, they took them. Ordered starters and two main courses, only one arrived. After waiting for the second main, we then cancelled it. Turned out it never was booked in the system. No apology, then had the cheek to ask for a tip on top of the % already included on the bill. Real shame, food good, but everything else was amateur. Will get the sandwiches in the future but won’t dine in, not worth the mark-up.

Absolutely lovely restaurant with the friendliest staff! There were a few issues with the food which is why I gave the 4 stars but the team tried to rectify as best as they could i.e. steak temps and missing orders ( bearing in mind we were a large group of 8). I would definitely recommend the lamb shoulder and salmon as the mains and the black chickpea hummus starter was absolutely delicious! The vibe and atmosphere is really lovely and there was live music on a Saturday night.

Wow - Amazing food, amazing cocktails. My friends and I had THE BEST time celebrating a 30th Birthday at Jeru. The staff were kind and attentive; especially Hanson who took great care of us going above and beyond to make the evening special. Wow. I don’t have enough words to express how incredible my 30th birthday was, all thanks to the amazing team at Jeru. I booked the private room, known as the Garden, which was absolutely beautiful. My main point of contact, Viktoriia, was phenomenal—genuinely kind and incredibly helpful. I had a specific vision in mind, and Cameron and Tiger went above and beyond to bring it to life just hours before my guests arrived. The food was hearty and delicious, and the service was warm, respectful, and consistently attentive. Jamal and Micay ensured everyone at the bar had a fantastic time, while Bernard made sure my younger guests were taken care of early on. Jeru, I’ll be back — many of my guests feel the same way. Worth every penny! 10/10 experience! ✨

Had a lovely experience here for my friends birthday in one of the private rooms - great spread, friendly staff and the DJ booth is a real gem! Special mention to Jamal the bar tender who was super friendly and knowledgable.

Had a really lovely birthday dinner for a friend here recently and was amazed at the atmosphere coupled with the deliciousness of the food and the quality of the service. In particular Jamal was amazingly helpful as a bartender crafting lovely drinks and Ty was a good host. The starters and mains were incredible but the desserts felt a little bit lacklustre in comparison. In spite of this a time was had and I look forward to returning again.

I love Jeru, and bring my friends from out of London but tonight something happened, for the first time, that was totally unacceptable. I had a nice meal with a friend and we went to pay. I noticed that there was a 15% service charge on the bill. The waiter made no mention of this (which is typical for london restaurants) but then the machine came and it asked for a tip, with suggestions of 10/15/20% and a "NO TIP" button. Which is absolute BS. They literally trick people into not thinking there is a service charge and then have them double tip. 15% is already very heavy - even for London. Jeru management - pay your staff well and stop tricking your diners into double tipping. I am sad that I won't be coming back to what was one of my favorite restaurants in town :(

Dining at Jeru was a delight - the food was sublime and had us oohing and aahing (and planning our return visits) from the first bite. We enjoyed the balance of the Chef's Selection and found the menu to be thoughtful and innovative, with appropriate restraint so that the flavours enhanced and complemented the centrepiece of each dish. The service was warm and attentive and our waiter carefully explained each dish to us as he served it. Jeru was a perfect choice for us, a gathering of friends where conversation was an important ingredient of the evening, and we all agreed that it would be equally ideal for a date night dinner or for entertaining business clients.

Unique space, classy and professional

Based on recommendations, I had really high expectations for this restaurant unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Food: the food was great, the only issue is how drenched in sauce almost everything was. I wish they allowed their meals to be enjoyed as minimally as possible without serving them with the additional sauces. Atmosphere: There was a live band here and me and my party kept yelling at each other to hear each other speak. It was also quite dimly-lit and we couldn’t see each other nor our food properly. Service: This is where it all goes down significantly. I’ll start by saying they had a sommelier (or wine server?) who was really helpful in helping us choose our wines but unfortunately that’s the only positive thing to say about the service. The waiter assigned to our table seemed so flustered and rushed that when she came to pack our plates after the mains, she also packed our remaining potato sides while we were still eating them! We couldn’t tell her to stop because of the loud music! When we pointed it out, she immediately became defensive that she asked to clear the table so she thought we meant everything! Time to split the bill, it was my birthday so I asked to cover the drinks (1 bottle of wine, 1 NA cocktail, 1 daiquiri) for the table and what I ate only, this was apparently too complicated. They kept messing it up, added drinks we didn’t drink, had a huge problem with how I wanted it to be split until I gave up and asked the bill to be split equally. It was unfortunate because I wanted to treat my friends to drinks on my birthday. What was even more infuriating was how openly they kept grumbling and making it seem like the ask was gargantuan with a party of 4! How then do they handle large parties of 10?? Finally, in my booking I specified it was my birthday. This restaurant did not acknowledge that nor send the typical complimentary birthday dessert with a candle. If each person in my group is paying £99.76, best believe I have no interest in reminding you of a specific request I added in Open Table! TLDR: don’t go here for your birthday. Dimly-lit room, loud live music, unprofessional waiters, great sommelier.

Not worth the price or quality of food. The place is dull and full of pretentious and unhappy staff. The food is okay but very pushy staff were trying to sell as much as they can. It was uncomfortable.

Jeru is an excellent place with beautiful interior, welcoming staff, and provides a mind-blowing culinary experience. The variety of ingredients and how they play with them is just simply gorgeous.

Such a warm and cosy spot in Mayfair! We were greeted so warmly, and the food and wine were amazing! Full of flavor and clearly made with love. The atmosphere makes you feel instantly comfortable and welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!🤍

We came here over the weekend to celebrate our sisters birthday and had such an incredible experience!! The service paticularly from JD, Nikki and the curly hair gentleman was top notch! :) Food was superb. Would highly recommend to friends and family 👌

Service, atmosphere, and food are all 10/10. The food is cooked to order, the servers are amazing at making sure you have everything you need, and the atmosphere is so comfy and picturesque inside.

Absolutely exceptional! The food was amazing, everything was super flavourful, i would definitely be visiting again. The staff were very helpful, we were served by George, he was very informative and kind. I would definitely recommend the Hummous they serve here 😍 it tastes so unique.

My husband took me to Jeru last night, at first I really liked the atmosphere and the venue , must say food was not bad at all but the service was extremely poor. We had the Layla deal and none of the staff seemed competent. When we raised the concern to the waiter he said he will check with his manager. The manager a curly-haired guy was very unprofessional, he didn’t even approach us he just continued chatting with the other stuff and after my second complain another manager a lady this time came and explained us everything about the deal. Even thought she was very helpful and kind that didn’t change our first bad impression. I came very happy but left very disappointed. I didn’t expect one of the best restaurants in Mayfair to have this kind of unprofessional manger.

I had an amazing experience at this London restaurant. The food was outstanding—each dish packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff, especially waitresses Tiger and JD, along with manager Alistair, were fantastic—super attentive and friendly. The dj added a great vibe, making the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem in London 🔥 My experience at Jeru was nothing short of spectacular! The ambiance is vibrant and stylish, perfectly complemented by the live DJ who set the perfect mood for the evening. The food was exceptional—every dish was a delightful blend of flavors and presentation. A huge shoutout to Alastair, who provided impeccable service and expertly organized our entire dinner event. He ensured every detail was flawless, making the night truly unforgettable. I can’t recommend Jeru enough for an amazing dining experience!

One of the prettiest restaurants in London. With delicious food options and impeccable service from staff. A live DJ plays for dinner guests. They have an excellent wine and cocktail list. During the day you can purchase bread and cakes from their bakery. The coffee here is also good!

Would return in a heartbeat for the food, but there is an issue downstairs with the service manager after constant mistakes. A stunning interior with the so much potential. The potato bread was amazing, haven’t tasted anything like it.

A true gem in the heart of Mayfair! Planning my mum's 70th birthday was no easy task with so many options in London, but I wanted to find a place that would offer not just a delightful meal, but a truly memorable experience. Then I found Jeru, and my expectations soared—and they were exceeded in every way! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was electric, with every member of the team giving us a warm welcome, including the owner chef, Roy. The decor was stunning, and each meticulously prepared dish took our party of 12 on an extraordinary culinary journey. We sampled everything on the menu, and I have to say, the potato bread is an absolute must-try! Our server, Miguel, was fantastic, explaining each dish in detail and making us feel right at home. If I could give six stars, I would! This has become my absolute favourite spot in Mayfair.

The food was 10/10 and the service was sensational, really impressed and the atmosphere in this place is tranquil and I will return. Definitely recommend small plates, the food is seasoned well and the taste is to die for. It’s a must try for me and I’m glad I did.

The lamb was overcooked, extremely salty, and so tough it was hard to chew the music was very loud, which made it hard to hear.

3/5 Started off with a really tasty potato bread along with the hummus and aubergine tahini. Delicious, I must say. Even though the portion size for the bread is quite pathetic and we had to order double. Nevertheless, a promising start. Then came the hassleback artichokes and the halloumi donuts: The artichokes were ok. The donuts were poor. Could have been any form of frozen battered and deep fried cheese. Junk food vibes. Perhaps the joke is on me. It’s a donut, what did I expect. Would not recommend. Then came perhaps the biggest disappointment of the meal: the Crudo. When you have a section of your menu dedicated to a certain food you would expect a certain mastery. We had the seabass, the yellowtail and the tuna ceviche. The ceviche was good. But the seabass and yellowtail were lost in their decorative plates. It’s true that you eat with your eyes first. But you can’t forget that you eat with your mouth as well. Presentation only works if it is backed by flavour. In the seabass and yellowtail there was none. Good textured, good looking fish. But no flavour. No thanks. For the main course we shared a butterflied sea bream and a filet of sea bass with tomato and pomegranate sauce respectively. I must say both were grilled excellently. The only complaint here is the portion size of the seabass - laughable for what you’re paying. But it’s a restaurant in Mayfair, so 🤷‍♂️ Finally for desert we enjoyed the halva salted caramel. It was ok. Overall, a bit like its name, Jeru is missing some final touches. A vast space, well designed, decent atmosphere and attentive staff, but if each and every one of your dishes aren’t bursting with flavour then I don’t think you are worthy of the full title.
