Restaurant CLOSED (Permanenly).

Moroccan Sahara restaurant was closed for redectoration when we arrived but they had clearly forgotten to update Opentable. This was very embarassing for me on a first date. We had to find another resetaurant.

The restaurant is shuttered and out of business. Please remove it from your booking engine. We arrived for a reservation but there was no restaurant there. The doors were shut and the lights were out.

Tasty and authentic food served in good portions, very friendly service, nice atmosphere with beautiful decor. The whole place made it feel like we were actually on a holiday which was very precious especially during this lockdown. Will be back soon and would definitely recommend.

Acabo de cenar en el Sahara marroquí y lo encontré fabuloso. ¡He probado un par de restaurantes marroquíes antes, pero este realmente se destaca entre la multitud! Un verdadero sabor de la comida marroquí, gran espacio y ambiente. GRACIAS. Definitivamente regresaré una y otra vez.

I really enjoyed my lamb. My better half thought his veg tagine was good. The restaurant was very quiet, service was great, food cam quickly.

Es como ser transportado a Marrakech o Casablanca sin gastar el dinero en los vuelos. . . el ambiente, las mesas, las luces, la amabilidad de los dueños, el científico, las paredes son como estar en uno de los pequeños restaurantes locales donde se puede comer un tagine perfecto y excelentes aperitivos. . . Nos encanta ir allí, también aporta tranquilidad, es un lugar realmente tranquilo con una increíble relación calidad-precio. Vamos (o pedimos desde) allí a menudo y siempre es muy agradable

Entré aquí esperando comida y té, desafortunadamente no había nada en el menú que nos gustó.Después de pedir el té, la señora hizo un escándalo y se llevó el pan y las aceitunas.Cuando queríamos pagar tuvimos que esperar un tiempo y nos dijeron que había un cargo mínimo de 16, así que nos cobraron 50 p.  7 para una tetera es absolutamente ridículo y el servicio al cliente era inexistente.No recomiendo este lugar

It still serves good quality food since the last time we came to visit in 2012. We had the chicken borek which was good. Two tagines; lambs with vegetables and chicken tagine with dates and almonds. The lamb was very soft and tender. Chicken tagine was delicious too. Service was great! It’s definitely better than another moroccan resto ive been to in Earl’s court.

Me and my friends had a fantastic time at Moroccan Shara. I've been there a couple of times and the tangines are just outstandingly delicious, I would totally recommend the place! My friends also loved the food, we'd definitely like to go back at other times.

Un grupo de 8 de nosotros tuvimos una deliciosa comida en el Sahara marroquí. Las porciones son muy grandes y súper sabrosas, tuve el cordero etiquetado con higo y wow, estaba delicioso. La camarera es encantadora y muy amable. No podría recomendar más este restaurante, es muy tradicional y tiene una buena relación calidad-precio ya que puedes tomar tu propio alcohol.

This is the best Moroccan restaurant in the London. The food is really home made and the owner is an amazing person. Remember to take your OWN WINE, there is NO CORKAGE FEE. Call to find out if the grills are available, as these are only available on specific days. Essential to book.

El Sahara marroquí estaba en silencio cuando llegué, me hubiera gustado un "zumbido", pero la compensación fue que pude hablar con la anfitriona. El cordero Tagine fue muy agradable, muchos sabores nuevos para experimentar.Grandes platos y un pequeño billete, volveré.

Moroccan Sahara is not just the best Moroccan restaurant in Bayswater, but one of the best restaurants in London overall. Deftly executed traditional dishes served with an eye for detail and a genuine courtesy, in a warm and friendly appreciation of customers rather than anything formal or stuffy. My recommendation would be get a rough idea of what you like from the menu, but tell the host how many are eating, and how hungry they are, then just sit back and enjoy a meal perfectly tailored for your needs. Just brilliant.

Dinner with husband here. 7 pm reservation but probably didn’t need one. Lovely hostess did everything but cook the food. Felt like eating at someone’s house who wanted to make sure you enjoyed everything. We shared a salad, b’stilla and chicken tajine with dates and almond sauce. Salad was nice. B’stilla was excellent. More than sufficient for two people to share. The chicken was spectacular. Again, plenty for two with a bit of couscous.

Este fue el peor servicio que he tenido en un restaurante. 1. Reservé una mesa para las 7 pm. Llegamos 10 minutos tarde, y el servidor estaba muy enojado, a pesar de que el restaurante estaba completamente vacío (ni una sola otra mesa). 2. My friends and I are going to Marrakech on holiday so thought we would go for a Moroccan meal to get us in the mood! It was lunchtime and pretty quiet but Sara (sp?) took great care of us and gave us tips on our upcoming trip. The food was absolutely delicious and we left feeling like part of the family! Really recommend coming here if you want an authentic Moroccan feast. We will definitely be back when we return from our holiday :-)

Lugar cómodo. El chef es super amable. Ella cocinó pinchos de pollo especialmente para mis hijos que son muy quisquillosos, les encantó. La sopa era la mejor. Un plato de obergine (zaalouk) era increíblemente sabroso. Y los tagines eran increíbles. Si hay más de 5 estrellas definitivamente les daría. Todo está hecho y servido con amor.

Lovely little restaurant, not sure you need a starter, we had the complementary bread with our meal and it was all great, I had lamb tagine with prunes, which was recommended by the waitress. We would go again.

Love this place, been coming for years and never disappointing. Always have starter and main because it is so good. Great value, especially with bring own wine (which they do).

This Restaurant needs some serious money spent on it. The decor is very tired and dreary. Most of the plates and dishes were chipped. the food was okay, the staff very friendly.

Eneste negative var at det var vanskelig å få tak i taxi i dette området, så jeg anbefaler at en får en av personalet til å bestille taxi.

A great little place tucked away on the street, great food and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if in the area. No wheel chair access for downstairs but upstairs you would be able to go in with a wheel chair, not badly priced food

What a lovely little place this was. Great food and very friendly staff. We were able to eat the Bastilla which allowed a bucket list tick and it was as good as expected. Also try the sardine starter, enough to share for two.

We were searching for places near the flat we are renting in London and thought this looked interesting. It turned out that we didn't need a reservation because we were the only customers in the place the night we ate. And that was really too bad, because the food was excellent! This is a family owned and run restaurant. Dishes are prepared in a kitchen downstairs as they are ordered -- no pre-made and warmed-up food here! We tried the Lamb Tagine with Tfaya, which was brought still covered in the clay pot and was falling-apart tender. Also ordered the Couscous Royal with chicken, lamb, and sausage. Both dishes were delicious and abundant. Please give this restaurant a try if you are in the area. Places like this need to be appreciated!

Excelente experiencia. El personal es extremadamente amable y servicial. Obviamente llevó un orgullo en su cocina y disfrutamos de la comida y la cultura introducción. Los tagines que tuvimos no sólo veía preciosa pero aromático y fresco sabor. Los pasteles marroquíes eran también muy sabroso! Todo este conjunto en un restaurante exquisitamente decorado que los propietarios tienen obviamente más procurado- realmente se siente como transportado a Marruecos! Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Had a good meal here on Good Friday, spoiled only by the lack of other diners. I like a quiet restaurant but this was too quiet! I felt sorry for the poor staff on duty that didn't have more to occupy them. The lady who served us was very nice. The starter platter was excellent and one was plenty for 4. I had the merguez tagine which was different to anything I'd had before at a Moroccan restaurant and very tasty. The others all enjoyed there choices too.

We love Moroccan and have eaten at most across London and this, hands down, is the best we have had. Amazing tagines. The chicken tafeyah tagine had us googling recipes by the second bite!

The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating, especially with one of our small group being a vegan diner. They prepared her a tagine of veg and spices that she reported was very well prepared and to her liking. We all had tagines with one lamb and one beef. Each had its own flavours and tastes. Excellent preparation and timing for our enjoyment. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

One of our favourite places in the area - fantastic restaurant, authentic and cosy, lovely moroccan cuisine with a menu for everyone, a wonderful host. It's possible to bring wine, they also have lovely mint tea and we always resolve to come back soon.

Tome su propio vino, es la primera cosa que decir. Si se olvida un sainsburys local al otro lado de la carretera. La comida era absolutamente magnífico. Un verdadero cambio de la norma. Gran servicio y no podía hacer más por ti, sin ser demasiado intrusivo. El tajín era precioso y cuscús royal exquisito. El plato entrante mixto era un auténtico sabor de sabores diferentes y bien merece la pena.

A lovely warm welcome and easy going charm made this night out with friends extra special. The chicken was amazing and the salads and the aubergine.

This was the first time we have authentic Moroccan food so we were guessing a bit as to what to have. The owner was excellent in guiding us. We both enjoyed excellent food very different from anything we have had before.

Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa temprano y tuvimos una comida deliciosa y muy auténtica de Marruecos. Yo tenía un muy bien condimentadas tagine y mi marido un gran Cuscús Real. Las entradas mixtas de encantador, así como la comida de pan casero. El restaurante es sin licencia, pero te permite traer tu pripia bedida alcohólica gratis.

I celebrated my Birthday and my guests and I had good time and good food as well. I would say it was like a "home made" experience. The Tajines were delicious! I also appreciated the fact that I could bring my own bottle of Champagne and my Pinot Grigio too. Worth going back!

A very agreeable dining experience, with excellently cooked and presented food, and prompt and polite service in a pleasant and atmospheric ambience. We had the North African platter for two as a starter and the Lamb Mechoui for two as a mains - both were tasty and ample but you need a huge appetite to do justice to both of them - we consumed all of the starter but could only manage some of the mains - fortunately our waitress kindly put the leftovers into a takeaway carton and we were able to enjoy these (cold, but no less tasty) for supper the next evening. First-class food but be careful how much you order! The Moroccan Sahara is not licensed but we were happy with tap water which let the piquant flavours of the food emerge fully, and wine can be obtained from a nearby Sainsbury's and drunk at the restaurant with no corkage charge.

As "Marocco lover" it was a perfect restaurant for us! Excellent and authentic meals! Good service, warm atmosphere. Try the delicious tagines - we had a chicken tagine lemon style and a lamm tagine. There is no wine aviable - good to know!

Lovely tagine served at this nice moroccan restaurant, lots of choice of flavours. I had lamb with figs and my partner had spiced lamb, both were good in their own way. Restaurant was quiet on a Thursday. It is bring your own booze, great when there is a sainsburys nearby as it keeps the overall bill well down!

The atmosphere and decorations are evocative (and the tablecloth smelled of fresh laundry and clean, so nice!).We had a delicious aubergine stew and a fried phyllo pastry filled with goat cheese as starters; then a lamb stew with figues and pine kernels (tasty match!) and a couscous with mixed vegetables and meat (I enjoyed the lamb sausages pretty much), both surprisingly nice. Would have loved to taste a dessert, but were too full. We spent around 55£.

The tagines here are wonderful - a good range including lamb, chicken and fish, and so delicious! Cheap and cheerful - a great cosy local!

A very nice but small restaurant run by two ladies(one was cooking and other was the hostess. For that part of London there are so many others to choose from with better menu options. It&#039;s a bit pricey as my daughter only ordered chips and got roast potatoes and I bought a bottle of wine from supermarket and the bill still came to £65( 2 starters and 2 mains only)<br /><br />Overall its a nice but small family run restaurant but there are much better ones out there!

This restaurant feels authentic and also like a neighbourhood secret. The food was delicious and, with their BYOB policy, it can be very good value. We would definitely return when in the area.

We've been to this restaurant a few times and it's worth seeking out. The Moroccan food is delicious, the hospitality is warm and generous and it's BYOB (bring your own bottle, if you want alcohol) so it can be very good value as well. A real local gem and a very positive contrast from the many chains nearby on the main street.

My son and I both love Moroccan cooking and this small and well formed restaurant, run by a mother and daughter, was a delight.The plate of mixed starters and the tagine were both delicious and authentic. I would certainly go back.

We had high hopes for this place seeing all the good reviews online. Unfortunately we left disappointed. We should have been worried the moment we walked in on a Saturday night and the place was completely empty - throughout the whole meal and when we left we were the only table in the restaurant. Strange as every other restaurant in the area was packed to the brim with queues out the door. <br />The food was OK but nothing memorable. The set menu stated that 7 starters were provided but they only gave us 6, no explanations given. Portions small and expensive for what it is. I had booked on open table and stated that we would like to have the set menu. When we came in and sat down nobody came to our table to offer us tap water, or to confirm our food choices, or even just to say hi! After 10 awkward minutes we beckoned the waitress over to check that they had our order. This was weird, going into a restaurant and them just leaving you sat there. When the chef (?) put the food down on the table and we said thank you, she grunted as though it was a chore for her to be there serving us. She and the waitress proceeded to chat loudly behind us whilst playing music/videos on their phone, on speaker! Thereby preventing me and my husband from being able to speak with each other. We were insulted that they could not bother to speak to us yet are perfectly fine having loud conversations behind us about their lives! We decided to leave soon after as we felt awkward having to sit in silence listening to them chat, and asked for the remaining of our mains and dessert to be packed up, and for the bill. It was not easy getting their attention as they were more engrossed in their phones. Took 15 mins to bring the bill and the owner was chatting and laughing away on the phone, clearly more concerned with that than to serve their (only) customers of the night! I wish I could have loved this place but if there&#039;s one restaurant in London I DO NOT recommend it will be this.

We had a wonderful evening at Moroccan Sahara. The service was warm and welcoming, and attentive but never rushed. The food was excellent (two tagines- lamb with artichokes and peas, chicken with apricots and set spices, and harira - a chickpea-based soup - to start.) and was just like dishes I had in Morocco. It is a BYOB restaurant, which we were glad we noted from other Trip Advisor reviews. Will definitely return.

Great food!! Much better than any other Moroccan options in the neighborhood. No complaints other than the place being pretty empty which is a little sad. Definitely should be more popular.
