We visited Loaf and Bloom when it first opened ,what a lovely experience that was.No qualms about going back for lunch today, but my goodness, how it has gone down !! So you choose your lunch out of the selection of " ready made" toasties or paninis from the fridge, they are then microwaved and presented with a little ramekin of leaves and a side of microwave chips! My tuna melt was actually inedible..I took it home to feed my urban foxes..wouldnt be surprised if they throw it back ! Tables were sticky, more staff than customers speaks volumes. Debenhams is set to close at the end of the year, maybe the apathy has set in early .

Went here as it was supposedly recommended by coeliac uk as a great place for gluten free food. There was nothing gf on display and staff clearly had no idea how to use allergy file - recommending things that clearly were not suitable. Was eventually told - we dont do gluten free any more by same person who was clueless in general. Even ‘normal’ food was in short supply and grim looking!

I visit this restaurant regularly with family and friends and each time, it leaves us extremely pleased - the food is always high quality, bought to the table in under 10 minutes, hot and delicious with a wide range of vegetarian options too for people like me - i have no complaints about the food, hot drinks, decor or staff - it has become my favourite place for brunch/lunch!

A joy in the centre of Wolverhampton. Fab décor and vibe and very reasonable range of products. I had a jacket potato which was large and well cooked. The cakes looked tasty too. Definitely recommended for lunch!

We visited a few weeks ago for breakfast, we both had avocado & poached eggs on toast with a side of bacon each. We were both disappointed with the poached eggs which were like hard boiled eggs & bacon looked like it had been on the grill for 30 seconds. We didn't complain & today a few weeks later decided to give them another try. We had the same breakfast & asked for bacon well done & nice soft poached eggs. The eggs were solid & bacon virtually uncooked we sent it back & was then served up eggs that were still solid & was told by the chef it was the eggs they were using. We had a refund & left. I don't think we will chance another breakfast here.

Mid shop. Stopped off for cake & coffee - I had a pecan cake. It was delightful, it’s extremely clean and with pleasant staff I’d definitely recommend stopping off for a bit to eat and drink mid shop. Great addition to the mander centre.

I’ve been here lots of times since it opened and it deserves a review. I’ve been going since I was pregnant and now with my baby. Service is so quick so brilliant if you don’t have much time. My favourites are the avocado and poached eggs on toast, and the fish finger brioche roll. I also love the salmon and egg parcel, and the tuna flatbread. I love both breakfast and lunch! Portion sizes are huge - hard to finish but the food is so tasty! It’s spotlessly clean, and the nearby toilet and changing/breastfeeding facilities mean it’s a good choice for a new mother too. Wolverhampton city centre really needed somewhere lovely like this for breakfast and lunch when you’re having a day shopping. I would totally recommend.

Service was 30 seconds, I like that. I went for the classic burger and chips. I was pleasantly surprised. The look of everything is premium. It's cheaper and more value for money than the M&S equivalent. I like the salad and that the fact the burger has fillings, dressings etc. It looks better and tastier than a Maccies. Lovely service and free wi-fi. Good seating and wi-fi. I was comfortable. Maybe larger portions are the drawback. but standard in the deli-cafe, modern range bracket. Maybe in the inclusion of some literature would make the atmosphere more relaxed and less fast-food. The tables and fittings are premium and fitting. There is a lot of character. Drinks are bit expensive, but an actual glass is nice. Burger needs to be hotter, Way better than M&S cafe!

My sister and I visited Wolverhampton shopping we went into the Mander Centre and had a hot chocolate, after shopping we decided to go in Debenhams for lunch after finding a seat we went up to the counter and ordered food and a cappuccino, the drink soon came and it was warm at the most, then the food came and I mentioned to the waitress the drink was cold her reply was it goes cold quickly, really that's an utter load of rubbish, food was fine but would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This cafe area at the top of the Mander Centre / Debenhams is a very relaxing place to chill for 30 minutes. The staff are well organized, friendly and professional. However the food we had, (3 people / 3 different meals), was mediocre at best... Chips were the worst we've ALL ever tasted - dry and chewy. Everything else was just about acceptable.

Visited at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and already out of all the sandwich selections. Also the staff were quite rude and constantly laughing at each other, which really doesn't make a customer feel comfortable. No menus on table, no spoons on table or offered with our hot drinks. Finally this place is pretty overpriced considering it's a department store restaurant. The only saving grace were the cakes.

Thought I would try the restaurant on the first floor, as it was the only place that was not packed out and had plenty of seats available on a busy Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The restaurant is nicely decorated and layout was good, and the service was quick, with the tea being brought to your table. The food on display appeared to be of a good quality with a variety of different options both vegetarian and meat selection available. It soon became apparent Why the restaurant was so quiet the prices. Had a cup of tea and the chocolate olive cake. Cake was very nice but the portion size was small four mouthfuls and it was finished for the price of £3.75. Tea cost £2.30, total cost £6.05. Worth a visit if you do not mind paying a high price for a cup of tea and a slice of cake or for the other food on offer. Sadly although the cake was nice and I would love another slice, I will not be returning due to the high prices.

I went for brunch at around 1pm on a Sunday. Firstly the only menu is above the tills so there’s a whole confusing stand around in the way while you decide what to order. I ordered a breakfast at £7.50, I took a seat and the food was delivered to my table. It was horrendous. Bacon must have been cooked around 3 hours previous as it was rock hard, potato rosti (posh hash brown!) again must have been under a heat lamp for hours as it snapped when I tried to cut it! Ironically the sausage and toast were under cooked and then there were the eggs... I mean I think they were eggs? They were a vauge yellow colour... I’ve never put anything more disgusting in my mouth before - and I’ve eaten snails! They were both slimy and rubbery and tasted nothing like eggs! I’d gone out as a treat - I have no problem paying £7.50 for a nice breakfast but that was not a nice breakfast! I really think they need to concentrate on the food instead of trying to hard to be hip! On reflection I should have just returned the food and gone else where but it was a late night last night and I needed food :-) I’ve had nicer breakfasts in greasy spoons for a few quid! I’ve also had lovely brunch’s in quirky cafes and paid through the nose for it - if it’s worth it then great! This breakfast was NOT worth it. My friend only had a coffee - that was fine!

Not good, chaotic staff, no Co-ordination between service and kitchen. Food bland at best, and expensive. Is it self service, or table service, who knows, staff certainly don’t. At these prices you would expect a lot more, first and last time visit.

Visited here for afternoon tea with my Aunty. It was £25 which doesn’t sound a lot but it is for what you received. It’s advertises as “a selection of meats and cheeses with sourdough bread followed by cakes and scones”. We had one small slice of Parma ham each, one type of cheese and one small slice of sourdough bread. The cake selection was good but there definitely needs to be move savoury especially for the price. Would not go there again for afternoon tea as there are far better local places for the price.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful as we werent sure on the ordering system. We had drinks cake and scone. The latte was a bit too strong for us so we will ask for half a shot next time, also could have been hotter. The surroundings are really nice as well. A change from the other coffee places

It only seems to be nice on a friday. Have tried in the week and on a saturday, bacon is either oinking or if you ask for well done it comes cremated to the point u can snap it in half, the girl on the phone is miserable too, the girl on friday is very polite though! The man who delivers i find can be quite abrupt.

Lovely place to eat. The food was fantastic although they didn't have everything available at the time we went, testament to how good it is! As a coeliac, they were one of the few places I've been to that had an extensive menu to cater for my dietary requirements. Service was swift & friendly & the pub itself has a healthy relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitley go again. Thank you
