Excellent lunch time meal especially gluten free choice. Definitely going again lovely staff very attentive plenty of tables outside for summer alfresco dinning.

Went for husband’s birthday- 6 of us for evening meal. Very disappointed today with the quality of food. My meal was the tandoori flatbread which came swimming in sauces and the flatbread was so wet it was inedible. The chicken was luke warm and the potatoes were cold and hard. No one came to ask if everything was ok with our meals. The other meals were all ok but none really worth the money. My advice stay at home and save your money rather than wasting it on rubbish pub grub here.

Had a fantastic meal here this afternoon. They have a separate Vegan menu and I chose the 3 course set menu. I had Pakora's to start then a gorgeous carrot and spinach wellington followed by a peanut brittle sundae 😋 Great portion sizes and very reasonably priced

Went in for a quick lunch. There was tables available inside and out so opted to go outside as the weather was lovely and hot. Food was nice and came fairly quickly. Most of the mains are around the £15 mark. Car parking is available but not huge so not sure at busy times if spaces would be available. Overall great experience

Had Sunday lunch today, food and staff amazing. Meals well presented, and definitely no skimping on portions. Place immaculate and well spaced out without being on top of one another. This is our 3rd or fourth visit now, and will definitely be back. We'll done Springhill!

Driver didn’t follow instructions and parked down the bottom of the car park rather than just drop it at reception or ask reception to call us. Food was good quality Sunday roast. Only complaint is gravy has a slight burnt taste.

We usually have a meal here when we are back in the Midlands to see family. Food never disappoints.

Ordered Sunday lunch via Uber eats. Ordered x2 beef and 1 lamb. £18.50/£19.50 per meal. When it arrived there were 3 beef. Meat was ok on two of the meals but poor on the other, all fat and scraggly. Scoop of bland mash and x3 small roast potatoes. Vegetables were just cabbage, carrots and raw green beans. Gravy and Yorkshire pudding were ok. Won’t order again for sure.

Went here to catch up with a friend. They were a little busy, but food came out in a timely manner. The food was nice and we will definitely visit again.

Great family lunch! Wonderful food served by friendly and welcoming staff. Having two toddlers was not a problem with a really good selection of kids meals. Thouroughly recommend the belly pork and the duck breast special, good selection of beers, lagers and craft ales. I'l be visiting again soon. Thanks team Springhill for a great experience!

2 lunches within a week. First time been here in years. Order drinks and food at bar. Staff attentive enough but no more than that, seemed rushed. No one checked meal OK after bringing to table. Atmosphere lack lustre due to regimented layout of tables, not much space back to back between tables we were shown to. Food was satisfactory and well presented, with a wide menu choice. Washroom facilities clean enough but one sink slow to drain/ blocked on both visits let it down. Stingy with serviettes as didn't bring one with each course and definitely needed as quite flimsy. Little touches like that would be appreciated. Not enough disabled parking, and tight. Also quite a walk all round side to get to entrance, a bind in rainy weather. I would use again as handy, but rather go further afield.

Have not been to The Spring Hill for quite some time and was not disappointed! Good atmosphere, staff very attentive. Good choice of starters, mains and desserts. I had the pulled beef Ragu which melted in your mouth. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely make a return visit.

Have been here in the past and enjoyed the food, but this time the food was below average and very disappointing, the tandoori prawn starters were like five bits of over cooked batter and had no taste of prawns, the steaks were tough and grisly the beef ragu special tasted like tinned stewing steak with pasta, it's such a shame as it used to be good

I don't live near this place I live in Devon but my son lives in walking distance from it, anyway my wife and I plus my son went here for a meal , it was very quick service and the food was so tasty, I had a piece of lamb, I asked one of the staff why they supplied a knife as the meat just fell to bits, amazing.

Perfection. The Spring Hill wins hands down. I was a little concerned because the main menu’s was smaller than it used to be. Worry not, the specials made up for it. Such a lot of choice, Fresh Crab absolutely delicious. Bombay Salmon to die for. Plus so many more specials.Just such a lot of choice. I left thinking that’s what you call a different, lovely meal. Such choice. Remember the specials change daily & are not shown on the online menu. I promise you will be spoilt for choice.

There were 4 of us, all had different mains and starters, the food was ok don't think it was great but wasn't bad, starters and mains we would give average, the service was lack luster we had to order drinks and food at the bar, when food came that was served at the table by staff , we didn't see the staff again until they cleared the table, at no point did any one check everything was OK with our order, or the food which was a shame, we probably wouldn't return for a few reasons but mainly it's mostly self service no waiting staff which is a shame

I've been here before and like it, but some time ago, this visit, I was disappointed at the size of the portion.

Excellent menu, delicious food but I have to say the staff somewhat spoiled our visit. The table (for 2) wasn't laid when we sat down, whereas all the others were nicely set up with wine glasses, napkins, menus & cutlery. I asked for a menu hoping that this would prompt them to lay the table. They didn't. It was only after I ordered mains from the bar that someone came & plopped cutlery wrapped in paper napkins on the table. The food was delicious and we waited a while before ordering coffee & dessert. The main course plates were still on the table until the desserts arrived 10-15 minutes after we'd finished the food. Nice atmosphere & great food though.

Despite only being about 15 minutes from where I live, I'd never been here before. Admittedly, it was a last minute plan, and we couldn't get a table in nearby places, such as the Roe Deer. It's a big place, and quite bizarre. You can tell it was originally a Harvester: still looking like a classic Harvester restaurant from the early 00s, but it's now completely independent. A wide variety of meals. I opted for the pie, which was excellent. You could tell it was home made. Decent choice of beers, and desserts were fine. Would it be top of my list to visit again? Perhaps not, but I would go again.

Normally love the food here but today I opted for the Sunday roast. The meat ( lamb beef turkey and pork) were all very dried up and the food was luke warm at best gravy very gelatinous and again luke warm. I couldn't cut my Yorkshire pudding at the edges as it was too hard. Very disappointed. We came as a party of six with family from down South on my recommendation.

Undercooked Scampi, rock hard peas and salad that was soaking wet in something I couldn't recognize. Dangerous to serve undercooked Scampi . Definitely do not recommend and will not be returning.

Very nice pub didn't try food but it smelt lovly and looked good

It's a nice pub to sit in and have a nice quiet drink at. I could see myself there in the summer. However, I won't be ordering the lamb mint burger ever again. The patties were drier than a nuns nicker. It was tough and overcooked so much that it completely killed off the mint. We asked the bar staff if the meat was fresh and not frozen, which, she said yes it was fresh. Well, either she tasted it and loved it, or she lied to us. I may try something new next time, who knows.

Without question the best menu on any pub in the area. Great food cooked to perfection. What makes this pub the absolute go to pub for my family and friends is the absolute superb service afforded to all customers. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and it is a total pleasure to celebrate at this excellent venue. We have been visiting the Sprinhgill now for over 15 years and have never been disappointed - a definite recommendation to anyone looking for a perfect dining experience . The managers ie Dom Andy and Ash are a class apart and will do anything to keep customers satisfied

As much as I enjoy the chicken and mushroom risotto, the chicken that comes with it has practically no flavour, to the point where I would fully believe it if someone said it wasn't chicken... It's been a common issue in other chicken dishes so unfortunately this wasn't an off day - other than that the staff seem really lovely and I've enjoyed every single time I've been there, either with my partner or with friends, despite being on the pricier end

Great food and atmosphere. When we visited there was a big party going into the main restaurant and I did wonder if that may effect thing. Happy to say that is was spot on. We have booked to go again in a few weeks.

My friend and I arrived on spec around 7, and were happily greeted and seated. The menu is varied and always has a specials board. I don't eat meat so chose the cashew and celery rissoles, which were absolutely gorgeous! My friend had the Salmon which she said was lovely too. Nice atmosphere with great staff, looking forward to my next visit. :)

Well my first time, not impressed I had the cajun chicken pasta nothing like the picture. The bar is poor - the staff are doing their best but the choice of drinks is woefully poor and expensive. The amount of oil in the pasta was too much, I couldn't even taste any flavor of the pasta. No one came over to our table to check on our meals either. The customer service was extremely poor. Very poor organisation and management.

Went here for a meal with family but won't be going again we ordered off the 3 course menu which they messed up we had some of it but dessert missed ordered 4 drinks 3 turned up and then charged us for the missing dessert after meal of sausage and mash with don't know what on top now feeling sick. Salmon florentine, no finesse, just looks as though it had been dumped on the plate. Tasted fine but nothing special. Cost £16. Customer Service ok. Didn't bother staying for dessert.

Erm what can I say I live 10 mins away in a Uber and I arrived at 7:45 and I was back in the house at 8:40 I think it’s a world record!!! The food was truly shocking the mushroom starter was unbelievable pitiful mushrooms specs of Stilton some sort of gloopy sauce on sliced yes sliced bread which was described as a crouton. I had hardly got back from ordering the food when the starter arrived had just put my fork down when the main came! Oh I had garlic bread with the starter which I think was just defrosted and they forgot to cook, Main dish I can’t even be bothered to describe it and we had a side of onion rings which again they forgot to cook. Did I complain. No. What’s the point. Who to the server when it wasn’t their fault? what’s the point it really isn’t rocket science cook the food properly and don’t serve the food within 3 minutes of ordering it’s not McDonalds! Oh and ditch the sliced bread how much is some decent bread/‘crouton’ for gods sake!

Recently visited the Springhill for my 30th Birthday party - booked a table for 32!! Organising the event with the staff was seamless, great communication all the way through. We pre-ordered all of our food and I couldn't quite believe how smooth it went. Everyone got their food at the same time, all the food was hot, delicious and great portion sizes. The menu is amazing and I love the fact that the Springhill caters for vegans and gluten free as it makes it so easy if you are visiting with people with dietary requirements. The service was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. I love this pub and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We had a great time and I can't wait to go back. 10/10!!

Fast service & friendly staff. Tasty food!

We have been here many times before and the food has always been very good. Today however not so good,my wife had the gammon and that and the chips were cold. We spoke to our server who just said ok and returned a few minutes later with a bowl of chips and disappeared before we could ask about the gammon. It was ,admittedly, a very busy service but no one asked us how our meal was and the Restaurant Manager was either unaware of our complaint or too busy to deal with it. This was not the standard we expect from The Springhill and it will be some time before we return

Absolutely the best! The menu is excellent and extensive, there are always specials on too, and the food is all freshly cooked to order, the fish is superb, cooked perfectly, a fish lovers dream! The Sunday Lunch is amazing value for money, very generous portions of meat, potatoes, and fresh vegetables, and the staff are all very friendly, polite, helpful, and efficient, can’t fault the place at all, and if you don’t want to eat out, they offer the whole menu to collect and take away!😋😋

Solo eater. Half left my food. Collected the plate. And didn't ask if everything was ok. Or whether I wanted a dessert.
