Really nice food suggested we book next time as was busy good menu food was tasty and not a long wait

A good place to eat. Went with friends and sat outside. Nice evening, food was very good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere very friendly and family orientated. Could have done with a bit more table service for drinks etc but other than that I’d say give it a try. We would go again for sure.

Pick up carvery dinners from here massive selection I'm guessing it's the manager who sorts it out if not your staff are brilliant helpful and polite and a credit to the business 🙏🙏

10/10 every time we go! Have eaten here about 40 -50 times and never had a bad meal. We have travelled around the midlands to nearly every pub restaurant and this place is in our top two!! We visit as a group of 9 people every time, we all have different meals. From starter to main to dessert to coffee. Really quick service, staff are all lovely, from the person who speaks to you when you first walk in, the waitresses and waiter, and the bar staff. Open kitchen too, where the real work is done! You can tell this place is run like a ship, neat and tidy, all staff (lots of them) know what is needed of them! Cosy areas with a few tables and more open plan if you have a bigger group. Bar and food ordering till away from the diners so makes it’s a relaxed atmosphere and quieter in the dining area. They even have cushions for customers, what a nice little touch! Will I return that’s a definite yes!!!!!!!!!

Ordered a turkey Sunday dinner. I think the best thing on the plate was the mashed potato.

Food good, ambience nice parking a little problematic (get there early. Waiters/waitresses polite, informative and friendly. One concerning aside...saw one young member of staff from the kitchen (Jack. B. ) brawling in town, with a large group surrounding him, swearing and causing a nuisance to the public (Friday night @11.30pm).

Great food, great service and reasonable pricing, will certainly visit again. Keep up the great work.

3 courses for £17.95 everyone was lovely, very welcoming staff, food was well worth the trip from Bridgnorth. Service with a smile and the place is packed says it all

Have not been to The Spring Hill for quite some time and was not disappointed! Good atmosphere, staff very attentive. Good choice of starters, mains and desserts. I had the pulled beef Ragu which melted in your mouth. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely make a return visit.

We came for a catch up as siblings and our mum on Sunday after recommendations. We got told as soon as we sat down (our booking was for 1pm), that we had to be finished and vacate the table by 3pm as there was a booking right after us. At least let us start ordering or give us an hour into it before making us feel we had to rush. 4 of us had the roast - the two turkey ones were cold. The stuffing was raw inside. I asked for it to be replaced only to get three balls that looked deep fried but still raw inside. I asked for my veg to be well done as I done like my carrots and broccoli hard - everyone’s veg felt it was dipped in water and taken out - hard isn’t the word. Food felt like it was being pushed out the kitchen on a conveyor belt - mass production with little thought, care of presentation. I only gave 2 stars on the food because the dessert was the only thing we all ate. It also took ages to get anyone’s attention to let them know the food wasn’t hot so we gave up and just ate it. That was yesterday. Today 3 of us all have dodgy tummies!

Este pub es local para mí, pero puede ser un poco golpeado y perdido con la calidad de la comida y el servicio. Después de la reciente renovación decidí reservar para el almuerzo, ya que era una opción fácil. Aparte de la alfombra nueva, el pub no se veía realmente diferente. Los pedidos de comidas se siguen tomando en el bar con el que no tengo ningún problema, excepto cuando hay una larga cola y solo 2 servidores. Entonces es simplemente molesto. Las bebidas estaban bien y el personal era amable. Tuvimos el almuerzo de 2 platos. Los entrantes de cóctel de gambas y paté estaban bien. El scampi principal estaba bien, pero la hamburguesa con queso no era comestible. Un trozo congelado de carne dura grasienta. Las fichas estaban bien. Me habría quejado, pero literalmente no había nadie a punto de hacer esto también. Nadie nos preguntó si nuestra comida estaba bien tampoco. Es una verdadera lástima ya que puedo caminar aquí, pero no voy a regresar.

Food was lovely and staff were amazing. Our first visit here. Although I find it really disgusting that staff have to cover their tattoos. We don't live in the old times and time changes. Unless the tattoos are offensive I don't think they should be covered. Really think manager should re think this

The table was reserved for three of us, and we were promptly seated. I opted for the lamb skewers as my main course, which included a salad and baby potatoes. The meal was quite appetizing. To conclude, I indulged in an Eton Ness Sundae, which was quite satisfying.

Not one to usually moan just get on with it but today the roast dinners were terrible,where we all left most of it definitely won't be returning and we've used this place a good few times in the past very disappointing!

Tiendo a no pedir currys indios que no se sirven en un restaurante asiático, pero el chef Varinder de Springhill hace su propio curry vegetal, que uno de nuestros invitados pidió. Opté por la casa - hecho anacardos, apio y rissoles de verduras, que eran realmente excelentes. Hay una buena cantidad de opciones vegetarianas, y el Springhill es realmente un corte por encima de otros puntos de venta de alimentos locales. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado cuando llegamos, y esperábamos una larga espera para nuestra comida, pero se entregó muy pronto. Esperamos volver pronto.

Been here loads, always had a great experience. However we came as a couple last Sunday for a roast and was seated /shoved in corner... asked Ryan for alternate table, only to be offered another table shoved in corner and no other alternative...Multiple free tables. Could have been asked to compromise on our time allocation if that was the issue. Asked another member of staff if we could move to a table she was cleaning... however it was clear all staff were talking about our request as they stood looking at us. No one came back to confirm either. Felt awkward. Had a fab lunch but tables we asked to be seated were all still free??. Really disappointing from a customer service point of view, food amazing but would reconsider before going again.

First time dining at this establishment and the food was excellent 👌 Friendly atmosphere and staff welcoming. Would highly recommend. Child friendly. Belly pork with red cabbage and mash was divine 😋

Cannot comment as we couldn't get a table at 18.30 on a Wednesday and there was only 2 of us. Asked if we'd booked and were turned away as they had no space.

Found this place by accident and it's amazing! Fresh fish in the Midlands is rare but spring hill have got it down, absolutely fantastic dishes, will be back!

Visited with my friend who lives locally. I had the set meal (£17.95) for 3 courses. Pate, cod fillet (on a bed lots of veg/potatoes). My friend had the mushrooms on toast to start along with a vegetarian burger. We each finished our meal with sponge pudding and custard. The food was SUPERB. Generous portions and very well presented! In the last few years I have driven from Birmingham. We love Tha Spring Hill because the food, ambience of the pub along with service is consistently superb, value for money and worth every mile and penny. Question: Why can't other pubs and restaurants take a leaf out of Spring Hill's book? I don't know it all, however I do know good food when I taste it. I will also say when food and service is over priced and poor. This is certainly not the case here. Very well done indeed to all if the staff at Spring Hill! As Arnie said 'I'll be back!'

Fuimos a un almuerzo familiar de domingo que era agradable allí la comida tiene que pedirse en el bar (bueno para la mayoría de la gente nos dimos cuenta de que la mesa de al lado tenía alguien viene y tomar allí orden ) no estoy seguro de por qué creo que sería mucho más fácil tener el orden tomado de la mesa, pero la comida todo salió bien y era bueno, así que supongo que es un precio pequeño a pagar

Pedí fue el peor que he tenido, ciertamente no había visto la parrilla, hervir correctamente en la bolsa, tibia y empapada, el personal de espera parecía desaliñado y desatendido, estaba recogiendo bebidas cuando se entregó la comida, no creé un alboroto en ese momento como mi compañero habría estado avergonzado, terrible el café más abajo warstones Road sirve mucho mejor! @@

When seated, I wasn't told yo order at the bar. Food quality was poor and was overcharged. Children's pudding, the brownie, was rock hard. Won't be returning. Shame because it looks nice inside but over priced for the quality.

We booked the Spring Hill for a birthday celebration on Sunday. This isn’t a place that we come to on a regular basis, I would guess we come about 2/3 times a year. We have always enjoyed it. But sadly this occasion wasn’t as good. Firstly the man serving in the bar was clearly not happy in his job. There was no interaction at all and at one point he rolled his eyes because I hadn’t made up my mind what drink to have, which took at least 10 seconds for me to choose. Had there been a queue of people I could have understood, but I was the only one at the bar. Then we ordered food. I had the roast with a selection of meats and the trimmings. The meat was dry and tasteless and not very warm either. Another one of the party had their food arrive only mildly warm. I had to send the portion of cauliflower cheese back because it was hard. It looked like it had been cooked hours before serving. I had a dessert which was very nice followed by a cup of tea. It came in individual teapots which was nice on the eye. But when I poured mine I only had half a cup of tea. I went to tell one of the staff and one of the girls looked at me like I shouldn’t have been there. I explained that I like a full cup of tea. The other girl filled the teapot with boiling water. So I was adding only boiling water to my 1/2 cup of tea. This made it extremely weak. I was thoroughly disappointed with this visit.

First time visiting and eating here . We had the roast dinner where you got three different meats. Then for dessert had the mini pudding and a coffee. The crumble I had wasn't that mini ! Staff were friendly and efficient.

We travel quite a distance to get to the Spring Hill but it is worth it every visit. Great food, staff and helpful management. A big thumbs up to one of the managers Dom who honoured his challenge from before Christmas and did me a mix grill to beat my appetite. Highly recommend the Sunday dinners, twice cooked pork belly and the minted lamb.

This place has gone down hill so much. Don't have the lighter bites sandwiches both apparently fresh cooked ingredients cold, chips were still potatotey* and hard like they weren't cooked. Not asked throughout if food was okay, also there was a spillage and not one member of staff came to help, or even attempted to get us something to clean it with. I've had better service in a McDonald's, at least staff there would help you.

Huge thanks to the Springhill for your hospitality yesterday. We previously had to cancel a Christmas booking due to illness but you generously allowed us to carry forward the deposit to the new year. This was a much appreciated gesture. The food and service were, as ever, excellent. The variety of dishes offered is second to none and is quite a level above what most other dining pubs are offering. Keep up the good work.

Yes very good, I hadn't been in here for about 15 years but anyway we visited on Sunday recently as a party of 10 for my mum's 70th birthday, we all ordered different meals off a very large and varied menu which came without much of a wait and zero fuss, everyone seemed to enjoy their food with no complaints, I chose the regular sized pork Sunday roast which I thoroughly enjoyed, bar service was quick, waiting staff were all friendly and polite and even sang Happy Birthday to my mom when bringing the cake to our table, so yes pleasantly surprised and overall it was a good visit, I'd be happy to return and I'd recommend this pub to dine out or just for a quiet drink any day of the week, thank you Springhill, Penn.

Food items missing of plate. Only one person working behind bar and loads of serving staff standing around. Food was OK but missing items and long waits at the bar was a disappointment then they ran out of normal Ice cream and only had vegan.

We had our Christmas Day lunch here and we have been for Christmas Day there for 4 or 5 years this year however we found it disappointing. After our starters will were served our main meal the traditional Christmas lunch my sister's meal part of this was undercooked and she did complain to the staff we then asked for our coffee which was served in mugs and a large spoon not a tea spoon given. We left disappointed with the Springhill Penn with the food and how it was presented on our plates very untidy in our opinion there were too little staff to cope with the dinners. I did email the said complaint and received email back apologising and was informed all the food served was being checked and Andy did come to find us but we had left. We have informed them we will not be booking for Christmas Day lunch 2025 shame considering we have been regulars there for some time.

We’ve had Boxing Day lunch here many many times over the years and it truly never disappoints. The organisation within the restaurant is so good. You are never rushed, but everything appears to flow seamlessly. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient. The food is very very good with ample portions, piping hot and tastes delicious. Lovely atmosphere too and I’m sure we aren’t the only repeat Boxing Day diners Tiny gripe - better crackers for next year please, no present inside just the hats Joking aside, well done to you all, see you next year

El servicio fue excelente de principio a fin, tuvimos el menú de Navidad y todo fue muy agradable. Éramos 11, nos sentamos a la mesa en la zona del bar, la mesa estaba muy bien puesta con galletas saladas y poppers y todo el mundo muy amable 10 / 10

Tuve una gran comida de nuevo en The Springhill anoche. Fuimos con amigos para su aniversario y tuvimos el menú de Navidad que habíamos reservado por adelantado. El servicio era bueno como de costumbre y no tenía que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida. Todos tuvimos el cóctel de salmón ahumado y langostinos para comenzar entonces 3 de nosotros tuvimos el bacalao y langostinos reales con queso cheddar y miga de perejil en una cama de puré de papas y salsa cremosa de puerro y uno tenía cebolla roja y queso de cabra tarta tatin con papas nuevas y ratatouille vegetal luego pudín de Navidad, brownie y helado de pastel picado. No podía faltar y todos limpiamos las placas 10 de 10. Gracias Springhill

12 of us line dancing friends out for our Christmas meal every thing was lovely food nice and hot aswell. They could do with some nice little spoons when they give you trifle in a jam jar not very lady like lol but they managed some how 🤣🤣

This is a great pub/restaurant. The food is definitely not pub grub,the menu is more like upper-class restaurant without the price tag.I would recommend to book has it is allways full.

Lovely place to eat. The food was fantastic although they didn't have everything available at the time we went, testament to how good it is! As a coeliac, they were one of the few places I've been to that had an extensive menu to cater for my dietary requirements. Service was swift & friendly & the pub itself has a healthy relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitley go again. Thank you

meat was very tender veg cooked to perfection n gravey was tasty. Will definitely recommend you n order from you again. Only problem was the garlic on roast potatoes.

Really decent. Always enjoyed a good meal here. I’d say this is more top end pub grub. Busy on an early sun eve-Sunday carvery available. Large group. Everyone’s food came out in good time, the meals are large and really good value. I felt mine could’ve been warmer (pork loin). The pasta in my opinion isn’t worth the money. Puddings were good, baileys creme brûlée was tasty but certainly needs some more baileys on it. Drinks and food are orders at the bar which I always find a faff. All the staff we encountered (mostly quite young) were excellent. Treat to come here and I will return.

A busy pub/restaurant with great food and friendly staff.

Lovely clean place with lots of staff to keep everyone happy. Food and drinks were top notch and we didn't have to wait too long. Some great deals to be had my on to Saturday until 5 pm. Can't fault it, will be going back.

I would recommend this place for anyone to go and have as they offer a set menue three course meal for £16.95 and the food is brilliant (offer is on 12-6pm).

Unfortunately, there is no waitress service. You have to go to the bar to order and pay for your food before you get it.

Friendly service but underwhelming food. The cod and chips offering was very dry. Desserts - Bailey infused crème brûlée lacked any hint of Baileys and the tirimisu with Sicilian dessert wine had zero hint of Marsala wine. With drinks it was a total of £56

The table was sticky , the food was awful , I had duck starter ,supposedly with hoisin and orange sauce , didn't taste of either , my wife had awful fishcakes,mains ,her mussels were in an awful sauce and Luke warm ,I had trout which was poor ,and our one friend had a mixed grill with everything over done , I certainly will not be returning to this place

We went around 17:30 . No friendly greeting but were shown to a table and given menus. I had to go to the bar to order drinks and food. Waited for staff to finish‘chatting’ before a guy came and did the drinks. No friendly banter just served me and walked off to see a friend. Cutlery was put on the table without a word being spoken. Food arrived after 15 minutes and we were asked if we wanted any sauces. We ate our meals and left . Despite loudly saying thank you no one responded. No we won’t be returning which is a shame as we have dined there several times at lunchtime.

Very nice food and atmosphere.. and the staff were attentive and friendly. For the quality of the food it was great value and the range of dishes was surprising.. lots of choice for every taste 👍

Superb meal last week for a group of us for a birthday party Food was amazing.

Visited on 4th September with some close friends and opted for the Lamb Shank. Wow the meal was delicious with plentiful of vegetables which were cooked to perfection. Enjoyed and would fully recommend. Will be returning again for sure .

Enjoyed an excellent lunch at The Springhill today. Our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. I had an excellent sea bream and my wife (who is vegetarian) really enjoyed her cashew nut, celery and vegetable rissoles. Decent ales too. What's not to like. Cheers.

Excellent lunch time meal especially gluten free choice. Definitely going again lovely staff very attentive plenty of tables outside for summer alfresco dinning.

Went for husband’s birthday- 6 of us for evening meal. Very disappointed today with the quality of food. My meal was the tandoori flatbread which came swimming in sauces and the flatbread was so wet it was inedible. The chicken was luke warm and the potatoes were cold and hard. No one came to ask if everything was ok with our meals. The other meals were all ok but none really worth the money. My advice stay at home and save your money rather than wasting it on rubbish pub grub here.

Had a fantastic meal here this afternoon. They have a separate Vegan menu and I chose the 3 course set menu. I had Pakora's to start then a gorgeous carrot and spinach wellington followed by a peanut brittle sundae 😋 Great portion sizes and very reasonably priced

Went in for a quick lunch. There was tables available inside and out so opted to go outside as the weather was lovely and hot. Food was nice and came fairly quickly. Most of the mains are around the £15 mark. Car parking is available but not huge so not sure at busy times if spaces would be available. Overall great experience
