Food ok as long as you stick to a sandwich as the breakfast is awful. Also when I walked in on a Sunday morning at 10 o clock the staff member looked at me like i had two heads and when I asked her were they ready she replied bluntly “shop only” referring to the stale croissants etc. in packets. I have been at Kingston hospital all week and must have been in there at least 8/9 times and that’s how you get treated. I will never visit this cafe again.

This was our first visit to Lizzie's - it won't be our last. We arrived around 1130 as we had had fasting blood tests at Kingston Hospital, just around the corner and were ravenous! The cafe was clean, the staff friendly and efficient. The full cooked breakfast was excellent; the vegetarian cooked breakfast was also good but the vegetarian sausage was awful (for a meat eater anyway!). The large cup of tea was welcome and would have pleased a builder with its strength - the tea bag was left in. Due to social distancing there was only room to seat around 10-people inside (no outside seating). There was also a roaring trade in take-away. There were many items of eastern European food available in the various fridges to purchase.

We visited this cafe not long after it opened. We were excited by the menu but the reality was terrible - inedible food that was past its best the ham was discoloured. We didn’t eat it and left hungry.

Lizzie's staff treated us like British royals and made some very nice breakfasts and lunches during our 4 days in London/Kingston. We liked the place so much we went there several times. The outstanding prices didn't hurt, either - £4 for a hearty breakfast (beans, eggs, hash browns, bacon), less for a giant grilled ciabatta sandwich (mozzarella, tomato, avocado, pesto, fresh basil) or eggs Florentine (delightfully prepared) and the best cappuccino I've ever had. We watched the cycling race through the large window on Sunday morning. The shop was busy and understaffed because of the cycling race Sunday, but the staff worked assiduously to meet every customer's needs. Great choice for a nice breakfast and good company!

A great little cafe, spotlessly clean, well run and tasty food. The interior is OK, nothing amazing and the location is not draw dropping but if your near the hospital and want food this is a great choice and very reasonably priced.

I have been a regular here for a few months now. Not only for its convenience, near my work place, but also for the friendly staff and consistently good food and quick service. I am addicted to the chilli-con-carne (but it’s a bit of a running joke whenever I call in) and they serve a great illy latte.

If you love the steamed-up windows of a traditional chippy on a cold evening, and a paper wrapper brimming with tasty chips, Cod upon Thames is for you. The staff are friendly and chatty, the fish is good, the chips are even better (or should that been even batter?), and it’s only the stark décor and brutalist interior that denies this little local treasure the full star rating. Maybe it's the oil, or the way they cut them, but the chips are plump and flavoursome. Burnished metal walls make it feel like you’re in a shipping container, and the counter is so high it’s only possible to glimpse the staff. But let’s focus on the food. It’s the usual mixture of bangers (some in batter), chicken, burgers and fish ‘n’ chips. Standard fish and chips is under seven quid, pies are £2.40, and you can get chip butties (£1.60), cheesy chips for £3 and standard chips – a good-sized portion – for £1.80. Extras include onion rings, mushy peas and baked beans, and Cod upon Thames also does pineapple fritters and curry sauce. Soft drinks are housed in a large fridge at the far end.

Lovely meal, very welcoming staff. Able to eat being gluten free, dairy free AND vegetarian! Not just ‘eat’ but it was very tasty. Good prices. Were helpful putting a candle in my daughters’ pudding for her birthday. My free from pudding was gorgeous. Lovely generous helpings in the sundaes. Perfect for after a day in the theme park too before the journey home and skip the traffic.

Nice coffee shop with very pleasant service. They don’t charge extra for alternative milk either which is a rare bonus

It's one of the very few pubs that dont smell like beer as soon as you enter. Nice ambiance and good garden seating as well
