If you’re a person of color, especially black just know that you are not welcomed here. Cos I called several times trying to book for an event and the same lady I spoke to 3 different times keep ignoring my request. She advised me on different occasions that she will send me an email but she never did. What a world of discrimination we live in!

This club is getting away with scamming people in broad daylight. DO NOT GO THERE!. Wish I had read the other reviews before we agreed to go. My friends and I made a booking in advanced and paid in excess of £500 for a group reservation. A couple of the guys arrived before 10pm and was refused entry on some made up reason by the bouncer. They obviously didn’t like the idea of some appropriately dressed black guys being in their empty club. We tried to get a refund on the booking and after numerous calls and emails it’s still took 2 months which eventually lead to them DENYING us our money back. Absolute Criminals running this place. Save yourself from a disappointing rip-off night and go somewhere else trust me.

Me and my friends were denied entry for the misfits after party after showing up on time and having a paid ticket. The bouncer let in people who came super late, so it was clearly him being selective. Waste of time and awful experience. Why advertise a time and rules if you can't stick by it.

After being told the table was £180 we were charged an extra £22. I questioned this and was told it was an optional service charge. Therefore I said I wanted to remove the service charge. I was then told I can’t just simply get a refund and I have to speak to Head Office? We were then rudely given our bottle of alcohol with attitude and when asked why we were the only ones without sparklers I was told it was because I removed the service charge? We had already spent £180 on a £17 bottle of vodka so seems redic to treat us like that.

Works night out, so I didn't spend anything, so I can not comment on the cost. The atmosphere was as expected. Been years since the last visit.

Nice bar with expansive outdoor seating and great selection for cocktails. There was a bit of confusion on our visit that a flyer said 'classic cocktails 2-4-1', but after ordering there are only selected cocktails included, despite the flyer not showing any terms and conditions. The bar staff were very accommodating with the confusion and were professional in doing so.

Livellos was pretty much the worst experience I've had from a nightclub experience I've had in over 20 years. Downstairs dance floor was closed on a peak night. Upstairs all tables were RESERVED which left nowhere to stand other than 1 post which had 3 somber looking people dancing near it. The music was horrible, and the staff looked liked scantily clad hookers. The girls were the typical Geordie shore wannabes with silicone injected lips bigger thab what you'd expect if you'd run 20 minutes with Mike Tyson without a mouth guard. Absolutely hideous. To be told we'd have to pay £100 for a table for 2, drinks were extra which cost around £8-10 for a single shot and mixer was beyond ludicrous. What made it worse is that the place was DEAD. I mean absolutely DEAD. At 10pm on a Friday night, 7 customers total and £100 for a table!!!! These jokers live in Dreamland. As far as the girls who operate this joint go, I've seen more brain cells in a paper bag. We paid for a round of drinks, took a sip, and left. Worst place on/near the quayside.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chrissie and Megan during my recent visit, and I must say they truly made my experience memorable. From the moment I walked through the door, their warm welcome and friendly demeanor instantly put me at ease. Their genuine hospitality was evident throughout my entire stay. Chrissie and Megan went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and taken care of. They were always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any questions or requests I had. Their attention to detail and excellent service truly stood out. Both girls were sweet and pleasant to be around. They made my night awesome xx

We paid nearly £200 for a drinks package and asked for a sparkler he said they don’t do them? He said buy another bottle the guy in the blazer was rude and cockey. I’ve been working for customer service for over 15 years and never had this before! 20 minutes later another table get greeted with a sparkler with their package because they were a group of men ? It’s either everyone gets it or don’t do it at all! I can’t believe we were treated by this service. I’ve been coming to livellos since I was 20! Now I’ve got doubts about the staff and the principal of the place. Even approached the staff and got laughed at! Shocking

Busy Saturday afternoon, drinks are generally expensive and were all made from scratch which was brilliant but took a long while. The music was on but didn't feel it had much atmosphere - for context I was there from about 6pm until 7pm

An absolute shambles from start to finish. Paid £100 for a table to then be told we couldn't have cocktails. Not only did they charge on the door also, but a service charge for drinks we had to fetch ourselves. Stayed for one drink and left. Shocking service, was told that we would be reimbursed in some way and to email in, no response now for over a week.

The club was ok, but the DJ was simply awful. It was like a bedroom practice session. Constantly messing about, 50/50 whether the mix would work. Sometimes you just got to let it play. Records made for dancing are constructed in such a way to create an experience, what they don’t need every 20 seconds is someone dropping stuff over the top to ruin the vibe. It has its place, but like all things, too much just spoils it, and there was way too much. As was evidenced by the place clearing out over the space of an hour

AVOID !!! Staff rude and aggressive - read the reviews it’s a common theme. Overpriced and unfortunately believes it’s own hype. Much better places to go in Newcastle - don’t waste your time or your money

It was superb. Spacious, DJ was great, was lucky enough to get a girl who engaged all in dancing mood. She changed the environment. Place is good though ☺️

So I went on a night out and I was assisted by Courtney Dean. She was absolute great. I spoke to multiple people and she’s really made the full experience 5 star.

If you want a very average night out to be ended with the most rude and aggressive security this is your place. At the end of night, at closing time, the bouncers we’re verbally abusive, f’ing at blinding and physically assaulted my sister and I. Worst treatment I’ve experienced in a club ever. Deffo do not go if you’re a group of girls, they seemed to target us assumably because weren’t with guys. Very unsafe.

I was refused entry by one bouncer ‘Peter’ as I didn’t smile for the camera when checking my ID. He made a big scene trying to patronise me and informed staff members I was not able to get in due to my attitude. This is not the first time I’ve been informed about his belittling behaviour. Won’t be returning as this is so unprofessional.

Came with friends and would come back. X

CALLS HIMSELF A BUSINESS OWNER?!! DISGRACEFUL DONT FEED HIS EGO ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED

We had a table booked for 4 people. 3 of us arrived at 11pm and 1 arrived later at 11:45pm. My friend who was late was wearing black trainers and the bouncer wouldn’t let him in (understandable). My other lad mate who was on the table came outside to see what was happening and I realised he had white trainers on. I said to the bouncer ‘how come he is allowed in he is wearing trainers as well?’ because I was confused about the situation. The bouncer responds ‘and your not getting in either now love’ I said ‘why not?’ He said ‘your telling me how to do my job’. Baring in mind we had spent £100 on the table which I wasn’t allowed back in to enjoy. I did ask the bouncer a couple of times after explaining can I go finish my drink and he said no. Robbed!

We paid over £1000 for a booth in this club and 2 of my friends didn’t get in because of the footwear and just to top it off when we did get in we all got kicked out half an hour later with no explanation why, all they said was ‘too drunk’ if your a group of lads thinking of going here don’t! we have been robbed of our money

If I could give no stars I would. While in Newcastle on my friends Stag party we had booked a table here in advance and flew from Ireland only to be refused because we were all wearing the same tshirt and we were told to go home and change after we had paid a deposit to book the table and had planned to finish off our night here. Needless to say I would recommend anyone considering to attend this place on a stag or a hen to avoid like the plague. The bouncer was very unprofessional and inconsiderate.

My sisters booked me cocktail making for my hen do 💜 as a surprise and we all had so much fun 💕 and loved making the cocktails. Kieron the cocktail making host was very friendly, very knowledgeable and just made us have such a fab time. I would definitely recommend if you want something fun and have a laugh 😊

First time in Newcastle for a girls weekend. Such an disappointment Don’t be fooled by the great pictures on the website and all over social media. Customer service is APPALLING! Very RUDE & UNHELPFUL STAFF! I do Think a little bit of training would be very beneficial..

Excellent bar/nightclub on the Quays! Love the cocktails! Only gripe, and it is a small one, is the music is really loud when the place is not busy. Other than that great place!

Got refused entry as there was 7 of us males the door staff admitted to us that if we were females they would of let us in. All the door staff seemed extremely happy with themselves when refusing us for no reason other than our gender. We weren't rowdy or rude. Solely refused entry based on gender.

Friendly staff and a good choice of drinks. Beware of the Kittiwake colony nesting on the railway viaduct they can be a bit messy if you sit outdoors.

We visited on a Thursday evening and were given menus with drink prices on them. Nothing to suggest that these prices were only certain days or times. Ordered 3 cocktails jugs at £25 each, but instead of £75, we were charged £90 pls a £9 service charge for the pleasure. Why give out menus with incorrect prices?

Took a £200 deposit for a small group of us to drink in an hour and a half. Cocktails were horrible, watered down and server in tumblers which were mostly ice - absolute rip off. Venue was also filthy and cramped. Staff also incredibly rude and unhelpful. It was obvious that none of them cared at all and were happy just to take people's money. Been here a few times and it's been absolutely grim every time. Baffled why anyone would voluntarily go here when there are dozens of better places in town.

Staff are talking to serving customers wearing their face masks under their chins. Why? Can libellous answer this? I have walked out of the bar. So much for valuing the safety of your customers

I would give a 0 star if there was one available. I attended as part of a hen party on Saturday. We paid the £10 deposit each before attending and when we arrived we had to show ID and have our photograph taken - zero explanation as to why and no option to enter without it. We're shown to the table and immediately a member of staff demanded we all pay the remainder of the £25 minimum spend. We found it strange yet paid it. 25 minutes later someone arrived to take our drinks order. 15 minutes later part of the order arrived, some of the party waited over an hour for their drinks. Another waitress came back to the table and requested we had to pay a balance of £27. We disagreed as had all paid the £25, one member of the party only had time for 1 monitoring when we asked to see the bill it included a service charge of £37. Had we had great service we would have happily paid it, however the service was terrible, slow and they couldn't have cared less that we were unhappy. They did in fact do themselves out of £400 because had they been quicker we would have all ordered another round of drinks. Perhaps when dealing with large parties take a pre order of drinks and have them ready when they arrive. However this may be beyond their capabilities as we were supposed to have prosecco on the table when we arrived and this didn't happen either. Really poor, we made a joke to one member of staff saying free shots would have helped but they just said we could order some, but would have to pay. I mean, a cheap shot would have cost nothing but would have made the difference towards a slightly better experience. There was a gent behind the bar in the courtyard who's only drink I saw him make was his own. Really poor, no excuse of Covid, no excuse for poor service or for staff looking like they cared. We had 6 different members of staff come to our table yet no one did anything to make the experience a good one.

Awful. Just awful. I booked a table in the court yard for my birthday, the court yard is visible from the street and looks so pretty, lights, heaters , decorated covered out-door area. Nope. I was seated in the ally in-between the court yard and the entrance to the indoor area. It was dark with no lights, no heater, it was raining and I could hear faint music coming from the main areas either side of me. A waitress came to my table and asked that I pay upfront the min spend of £90. I got up and left and said I wasn't happy with my table. They kept my £30 deposit. This was my first experience at Livello on my birthday. Definitely my last visit and I won't be recommending to anyone.

I would like to start by saying the staff were absolutely amazing. From entry, they made us feel very welcome.. especially Charlie. Spent £400 to be able to get the table and had friends travel up from London for a birthday. The night was going fine until bouncer took a disliking to us. We were sat right opposite him near the door that leads to the toilets. He attempted to kick my friend out once for standing up and had to be calmed down by Charlie and a couple other staff.. he felt undermined after this and stood there shaking his head for the next hour or so. I recall a female next to us standing and dancing the whole night too but she was never threatened with removal. Anyway, the bouncer then (very calculated) waited until certain staff members finished shift around 90 mins before closing and came over to us and told us all to leave. We still had around £200 worth of drink on the table. No explanation, nothing. I have lived in Newcastle for 10 years and been to Livello numerous times, just disappointing to invite my friends who have never been and to get that experience. Very disappointing I have to give the experience a 2/5 as the whole team of staff at Livello were some of the best I’ve experienced.

Fabulous service & amazing cocktails. Arrived twice today without a booking both times, the girls couldn't be more helpful & friendly. Ellie was especially helpful & I can't recommend this lovely bar enough! Drinks are reasonably priced for city centre & we loved the experience 😜

Paid £50 deposit for booking. Was just me and my partner. Got seated In The courtyard which was lovely warm atmosphere. The service was slightly slow considering we only had 2 hours to spend £50 although it was busy enough to be fair. We asked the waitress if we get our deposit money back if we don’t spend it all she said no. She attempted to charge us for the drinks we ordered so we had to inform her to take it off the deposit and ordered a load of drinks to make sure we got our money’s worth. Thought it was a bit of a sneaky money grabbing tactic calling it a “deposit” as we weren’t getting any of it back regardless of if we only spent 20£ etc! The place is nice enough but not anything spectacular considering the way the doormen/bouncers carry on as though they are something special (come on like!) the waitresses are polite and very pretty but the place just gives the air of “ all show and no substance!” They are more interested in aesthetics and taking peoples money than ensuring they’re customers are actually enjoying themselves! Shame it has potential to be a really class place if they had more integrity in running it!

6 of us went for my 22nd birthday last month, on arrival we were greeted by a man who said we won't be getting in because my friend fell over and said it "isn't a good look" so told the bouncers to not let us in. We eventually got in as we had paid a deposit of £60. Once seated they then asked us to pay a further £90 which I was very shocked by as there is no prior warning to this when I booked it. I then went to order a cocktail with tequila rose in but they said they had no tequila rose left, then half an hour later the table next to us got a bottle of tequila rose so I was not happy with this either. Apart from the decent music there is nothing good to say about this place- AVOID!!

Charge £60 for a table and you must spend £240. When questioning it the owner mocks customers for being skint. AVOID.

Very busy and service was slow. Expensive but it's a city centre bar so not unexpected. Nice surroundings.

Booked a table, had 4 bottles and a bottle of dom which obviously wasnt enough as new people came in a bouncer was situated opposite us with the intent of reselling that table for the night. Kicked on the basis of bumping into people, no prior warning or complaints.

Livello has an area for everyone, both a more club-atmosphere indoor area and a quieter outdoor area. I was out for a birthday party and had a great night. There we're quite a few bouncers so no funny business, and a lot of attentive bar staff around.

An upper class bar so comes with price compared with other venues which are near by. A great drink selection and cool vibes make for a great night for the right price.

Brilliant night till some jumped up door staff kicked me out out because he was bad at his job, thank God we have cameras around in this day and age.

Amazing cocktails! Had the apple pie cocktail and it tasted lush. Definitely recommend it.

Expensive but certainly up their with the hottest clubs in town, you won’t be disappointed ending up here on a night out.
