Little Venice Cafe in Camden

Freshly prepared and wonderfully cooked breakfast. Cannot start my day without it. Superb value for money. Lovely friendly service every day.

Full english breakfast was very affordable, cheap and very tasty I will definetely be coming here again because food is sold at a very reasonable price

I came across this lovely wee cafe by pure chance, although the sign out on the main thoroughfare helped!!☺️ The staff were very friendly, in particular the bonnie young lady from Rumania.😎

I have passed this cafe many times over years but have never had an opportunity to come in. I ordered a vegetarian focaccia which had cheese, avocado and sun-dried tomatoes. It was nice if a little dry. They made a very good cup of tea. Prices are quite reasonable. It wasn't quite as good as other similar cafes I frequent.

Looking for some proper brekkie in an area packed with chain outlets Tucked away but worth seeking out. Great English brekkie. Nice coffee. Plenty of other options too which looked great - esp the pastas Fella was really friendly. Good VFM too Support the local guys rather than chains. We really liked this place so well done. Recommended

Delicious food and quick service - great to grab a bit to eat especially at work. A little pricy at over £7 for a small pasta but tasty nonetheless

Good place to grab a quick meal for students/workers near Strand. It doesn’t directly face the street but I was glad that I found it. Large portions, fair prices and fresh pastas!

Gotta say it is the best place for breakfast in the area by far, always go in there when anywhere near the place

Thought I'd try somewhere new, first visit ok - had a pasta dish from their trays in the window. I hadn't realised these were basically cold and reheated, but it was quite nice for what was basically a microwave meal Second time, not reheated properly. So especially nice, and more importantly not safe!

Obviously, it's not a Michelin Star pasta place, however, they have at least eight different kinds of pasta you can choose from and they also offer a generous English breakfast, bacon and egg roll and more. You get A LOT of food for the price you are paying and while the food is slightly overcook and they do heat it up in the microwave for you, it is still tasty. Just one thing to note: During lunch time the guys working there are indeed stressed out, considering the masses of people storming their little café, so please always make sure to carry cash with you, because their card machine takes at least five minutes and multiple attempts to get your payment through and in the meantime the people wanting to get food literally pile up in this tiny, hot place. So, do yourself a favor and bring cash.

I came for lunch, and owner was annoyed I changed from ham roll to chicken. He aggressively shouted at me for being on my phone, so I cancelled my order. I told him I was on a call to my wife who had new baby and was upset. He told me to “f off” repeatedly, that it could be any “f” on the phone, and reached a hot plate to throw at me. My wife heard all abuse. He had no hesitation abusing me in front of his customers and I genuinely thought he would assault me! In total shock! Please see similar review from 2015. Owner sits at front window by hot food. Maybe he had a bad day, but no excuse to abuse customers....even if I was on phone to an upset wife.... just wished I had videoed him.

came upon this café by accident,up a small alley after visiting the inns of court.we were going to eat at the nearby pub but deciding the prices were too high we were leaving when my wife spotted this small Italian café and am I glad she did.we decided on the moussaka and received a huge portion with fresh salad it was delicious,at £5 50p it was great value.with friendly staff a good selections of meals this unpretentious little café knocks spots of most of the tourist eateries.try it

Stumbled across this place by accident with my other half looking for somewhere to eat at lunchtime. I have to say it was amazing, so much choice and the food was fantastic. I can see why there was a queue, going outside. Its hands down the best lunch I have had in London! We had 2 plates of pasta and 2 drinks for under £15, no complaints wish there were more places like this. If you are in the area you must go!

A small side street cafe, offering a wide variety of good value unpretentious food - very generous portions. Not for special occasions, but well executed, value for money, simple food We found the staff friendly and helpful. Lots of pasta, paninis etc.

I've walked past this place every day this week on my way to the Waitrose round the corner. I'm a huge pasta fan! Huge! Everyday I've admired the selection of pasta in the window, but the queues have been too long to wait. Until today. They must have had 8 different pasta dishes, 4 lasagnes and a couple of moussaka. I had a veggie lasagne which was lovely. I took it out and it was £5. Hot and creamy. The same price as a meal deal from Waitrose. No issues with the quality of food or the service. A good find. Would probably recommend for food on the go rather than sitting in.

This small cafe is tucked away on a side street. Went for full English breakfast and was not disappointed. Good price and good service.

If you are visiting Little Venice, if you arrive by Canal Boat drop in little Venice, Maida Vale,The Little Venice Cafe, located right on the Canal is great for a drink or a light snack or Lunch with Bags of Atmosphere and fun!

This is one of the cafés in the area that offer cheap and cheerful lunches. It is nicely tucked away from the busy scenes of Holborn. Nevertheless it is very popular among LSE students as they offer 10% student discount. There is however a £0.50 charge for eat in. They are open from Monday to Friday and closed on weekend. My favourite express lunch is the mushroom omelette with salad. The staff are friendly and helpful. I always watch BBC news live on their TV while eating my lunch. Multi-tasking. You order, you eat and you pay later. Not many cafés operate this way any more in London. The only irony is that it does not look anything like Venice. Perhaps they have links with Venice. I will find out more...Watch this space!

Tengo un desayuno inglés completo aquí una vez a la semana. El precio ha subido a 6 libras. 90, pero para que usted obtenga: patatas fritas, salchichas, beicon, huevos fritos, alubias, champiñones, tomate, 2 rebanadas de pan con mantequilla, té o café.

La zona hace este café es una preciosa visita pero si hay incluso una pequeña cola luego esperar estar esperando una buena cantidad de tiempo. Es tan despacio como un Costa Coffee. Nos pareció bastante frustrante sólo para conseguir una bebida fría y un café negro. El café era un poco amargo. Lo recomiendo debido a su ubicación, pero podría ser mucho mejor.

Un café simpático, yo sólo tenía un capuchino, que era tan buena como cualquiera de las cadenas de café y era más barato y llevados a la mesa. El café está en un callejón/calle pequeña lejos del tráfico de holburn. No comer, pero las bandejas de pasta parecía bueno.

We came here for a lunchtime snack. We ordered a cheese sandwich, a cheese sandwich with pickle and a baked potato with cheese. The sandwiches had no butter and completely ( no exaggeration!) tasteless cheese! The same was true for the baked potato. Very disappointing.....

Just been to this little gem by the canal in little Venice (Paddington Area) and the soup and the bread roll was so fresh and yummy. Perfect quick lunch for a cold winter afternoon. Will visit again.

Average food, made up courses except the breakfast. The staff was not friendly at all, kept rushing me. If you eat in, it has to be on the run! You can clearly see it is a place solely for the sake of profit, not for a pleasant customer experience.Will not return!

Breakfast bigger than you can eat. All good. Cappuccino as good as any and better than most. Great range of handmade sandwiches and rolls. 'Proper' baps. Service good but early morning and not busy.

This is a shop in a little alleyway in Holborn, visited by many workers on lunch. I was one such worker who visited on lunch and ordered lasagne and chips for quite an expensive price (£5.00) considering it came in a little plastic box. When I was given the food I noticed I had only been given four chips. I raised it with the owner who went ballistic, made me more chips but started shouting at me, saying I should give you my bones and blood and then threw the box of food at me. I said to him this was bad customer service but he told me to "f off" and that he could get a million customers and did not need me to visit. I felt scared to eat in case he had spat in my food.

Good value/tasting coffee, lovely to sit outside the barge cafe whilst waiting for our canal trip to Camden Lock. Recommended!

The queue was very big and the lady couldn't get the card machine to work everyone seemed very stressful but the scenery is perfect and the food once we had ordered came quickly.

Had lunch in this unusual cafe during a recent stay in London. Unusual because it is a cafe in a narrow boat moored at Little Venice on the Grand Union Canal before a trip along the canal to Camden Lock.The atmosphere was great and the food excellent and reasonably priced. Would recommend it .
