Little India in Bolton

Extremely disappointed! We’ve been going to Little India for years and was always our ‘go to’ for takeaway Indian food. Our last meal wasn’t great but we gave the benefit of doubt and ordered again last night. I’ve been ill through the night as I was previously with our last takeaway. Food wasn’t great at all and very expensive given the poor quality and presentation ! That will definitely be our last order as I will not be ordering again. I just wish I’d looked at some of the other reviews before giving them another chance! Very frustrating and annoying given the price we paid 😩

In our experience the food is always immaculately prepared and tastes wonderful. The premises are visibly clean and this is representative of food presentation and healthy fresh taste. Really positive about Little India - we have had many takeaways (delivery and collection) and it has always been a first rate experience. Thank you Little India.

Ordered as a family treat and ended up with an expensive mistake. Firstly, all of the food was cold, the Chiken main had a total of four small pieces of chicken, and items ordered and paid for were missing. Overall, it was a very poor experience, and we won't be ordering again.

A expensive mistake …. The order wasCold, order, they didn’t send everything we had ordered, next to np chicken in biriyani, not worth it! A huge disappointment and will not be ordering again!

Extra Ordinary Food Tastes and various dishes

Superb curries, excellent service...cooked in front of you....

we had a couple of curries first time from here just over a month ago collected in person and watched them prepare now that meal was 10/10 and I would of given a 5 star review but felt we needed to try out again So this time a couple of weeks ago we ordered before they opened online through there web site okay no problem there meals orderd time wanted delivery confirmed e:mail now the wait. 1: no comfamation they received the order 2: over 40 minutes late ( they probably saw the order and super rushed to cook as the rice was leaving water on my plate as I was eating with the curry making it soggy and bland ) 3: we accepted this was forgotten and started to prep for our version of a curry , then they rang and though delivery driver was very apologetic the damage has been done and will not order from here again. this was quite an expensive order for a takeaway and regreted next day for the money spent. I dislike low star reviews but you don't deserve the full 5 stars sadly.

First time ordering from Little India Bolton. The online menu was very comprehensive and easy to follow. We had the set meal for two and it was delicious, will certainly use again and happy to recommend this take away. They state 45 minutes for delivery orders and they were on time.

We have been using this takeaway for years, however, last week we ordered most of our usual dishes but were very disappointed all dishes including starters had a really unusual taste that made the food inedible. Appreciate everyone can have off days but we emailed them just to advise but no response was received. Very disgruntled and we shall be on the look out for a new takeaway

I've never been more frustrated ever with the Web site...... Spend ages typing in order on Web site, get to payment, via card, then it says type in code from a message that has no ability to type in anywhere? Tgen I get a phone call and asks for a code that can't be typed in anywhere again. Rang the restaurant and they say there's no order anywhere, so make a telephone order. Then says only cash! So is this a rouse to get cash payments only. Shocking!!!!!!!

I've had numerous meals and never had a bad one..staff are great and the shop is always clean..can recommend to anyone 5 star

Me and my husband have just moved to the area and tried this for first time tonight - absolutely amazing! Definitely our new local takeaway! Staff were very pleasant and courteous - definitely recommend to anyone

Great curry. Lots of interesting options way beyond the usual Indian takeaway, and ours were cooked perfectly. Not drowning in oil/ghee as some curries can be. Good vegetarian options as well as the meaty ones. We ordered two curries, two rice and a side dish and there was so much food it did us for lunch the next day as well.

Lamb balty was not good at all. Lamb was smelly and definitely not fresh. Other then that alright but no chance to visit again as feels very awkward

Had a food hygiene rating of 1 when I reviewed this place years ago, glad to see it has improved but I'll give it a miss.

This used to be our "go to" place for home delivery on Indian style takeaways. Not any more, the prices have gone up by 20% and the quality has come down by the same ratio. Absurd "Service Charge" of 40p (for what?) and £2.00 extra for delivery. Last two meals have convinced me it is much better value to nip over to Darwen and have a proper curry in one of the Indian restaurants over there. See you guys.

Always order a delivery from this place, service is great but unfortunatly the curries have not been up to standard, im sure they have changed chef because the taste and consistency of the food is not as it used to be.

We have been using this takeaway for years and never had a problem until of late.The curries are lovely but the sundries are a let down.I don't know if they have new staff making these but they need to take a good look before sending them out.

Rip off naan bread really small cooked in tandoor and well over priced not cooked properly, Won't be going there again .

Truly fantastic Indian food! Never been disappointed with this place. Staff are a pleasure to speak to, and you always feel welcomed. It's our go to place for a weekend treat, and I've tried most of the menu at this point. Thoroughly recommended 👍

Saturday night, website said 70-80 mins for delivery, 25-35 mins for collection. So we ordered and paid online for collection. When the confirmation came through the collection time was an hour, but by then we had paid. Went to collect, went in, still wasn’t ready. In the end it was 1 hour 20 mins from ordering. Food was OK but nothing special. We ordered 2 naan breads but thought they had forgotten to pack one. Turns out they were so small what had looked like a normal naan folded was actually 2 naan breads in the same foil wrapping. And the keema naan had no mince in, just what looked like a very thinly spread colouring. Safe to say we wouldn’t recommend.

We always love the food from Little India. We ordered early on New Year's Eve as we anticipated a busy night for takeaways.. We placed our order at around 17:15 and notified almost immediately by YoYo of an additional 40 minutes to deliver our order making delivery time of approx 19:10. At 19:17 I received a call from the Restaurant explaining that our order would be with us in about 1 hour. We always expect a wat when we order from Little India but after a three hour wait the anticipation of yummy takeaway food had kinda diminished.. Little India is great takeaway that could become a victim of its own success if customers are left waiting so long for delivery.. The food when it came was amazing as usual.

The food was absolutely amazing with all the right flavours to fill your curry craving. If it’s a curry night your having then this is the right place. Very friendly staff and very clean.

We placed an order last night for delivery as it was my birthday and everything was perfect!! We ordered for 8.00pm and the delivery was exactly on time. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it, i couldn't fault anything. Will definitely be ordering again!! Thanks for a lovely birthday meal.

Moved to the area not long ago and tonight I fancied a curry. I noticed this place whilst walking to asda and Needless to say I am glad I spotted it!. I ordered chicken madras, chips, rice, naan bread All for £9.48. Everything was fresh hot and tasty, I am currently lying down on the couch in a food coma haha I will definitely be ordering again!

We've had 3 home deliveries during lockdown and everything has been flawless so far. Wide choice, good prices, amazingly punctual delivery, friendly deliverers, hot and tasty food. Definitely recommended.

Great food again tonight... Ordered through YO-YO. Waited almost two hours for our delivery but as always well worth the wait. Great value, great food and their obvious understanding of fresh spices is a credit to the team. Deserves all the accolades it gets does this small independent business.

On Saturday we decided to treat our selves to a takeaway as weve not been able to eat out for a while.We agreed on an Indian but as were pretty much new to the area we looked at reviews on line to decide which 1.We chose Little India,ordered & paid on line & was not dissapointed. We opted for the set meal for 2. 2 starters,2 mains,rice & nan bread.All delicious,hot & plentiful at a good price.I would normally collect food but due to Covid 19 at the moment it was delivery only which wasnt a problem as the driver knocked on the door seen that we had seen him then he got in his car & we collected our food from the door step. There was a bit of a wait for our food but this was explained to us as we ordered due to high demand. Would we use again YES Would we reccomend YES.

I really enjoyed my meal! Had mixed grill and sides. The meat was delicious and a generous portion. Delivery was on time. Driver using personal distancing well. Everything was brilliant. I thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Ordered from here now a few times, we've never had a problem delivery always on time food always hot. Food is excellent and we would recommend to friends and family anytime. And not to forget delivery drivers always friendly.

First time I have used this takeaway ordered on line and found their website easy to use the dishes on offer were the usual Indian takeaways but also had some that I had never heard of. The site also allows you to request a delivery time ; which I did the food arrived at exactly the time requested and was hot and delicious I would recommend that you give it a try

Oops !!! I ordered on line and clicked the collect button instead of deliver button! Called to say I made a mistake and they said would be half hour or so. Fine with that it was my mistake. Ten mins later it arrives! Too restaurant than you!

Ordered last night. Best I've had in Bolton/Horwich by a stretch. Will definitely use again. Lazeez Chicken Pathia was fab.

Heard so many good things. Food was tasty, the I had to warm up as cold. Had mixed starter. Chicken tikka karahi half the dish was onions so picked the majority out. Can’t fault the taste though. Delivered on time.

I’ve ordered from here for nearly 10 years now. And never once had a bad experience. Fantastic food with a wide choice of dishes to choose from. Always been delivered on time with fresh hot food. The lamb tikka just melts in your mouth. My only regret, is that I don’t order from here enough!

Brilliant place to get brilliant food

Gave 1 star because couldn't give zero. Ordered food for delivery. We a literally 5 mins drive away and the food was cold. Rung the takeaway and at first he said it couldn't be cold, I said it was and then they said they would give us a discount next time! I said I wanted a refund and he said he couldn't do that. Will never order from there again
