Bolton Halwa Centre in Bolton

Bolton Halwa provided the catering for all my mum’s Prathna Sabha, Funeral, and Kyria service. Not only was the food excellent but the support that Bharat and his staff provided was brilliant during this difficult time for our family. Definitely recommend Bolton Halwa Centre for quality and service. I would say that Jalebi is a speciality for this place.

Have been going to Halwa Centre for many many years now and it has always brought a smile on my face going there. The friendly staff. The delicious food. Its great. Even though I no longer live in Bolton I never miss an opportunity to go there when I visit my parents.

No ghee in their sweets waste of money

Too worst place. Really bad behaviour from staff. If complaining about attitude at front billing section, they are telling sweet house not belongs to Rajas. Don't waste time buying items from there

I recently had a disappointing experience in this shop .I ordered a specific sweet item, but upon receiving my order, I realized they had packed a different item. When I asked the staff to rectify the mistake, their response was unexpectedly harsh. They refused to change the item unless I paid for another one, which I found to be completely unfair and unreasonable. Not only did I receive the wrong item, but the attitude of the staff was also quite unpleasant. Their lack of willingness to correct their mistake and their rude behavior left a sour taste in my mouth, quite literally. As a customer, I believe it's important to be treated with respect and for businesses to take responsibility for their errors. Unfortunately, my experience at this shop fell far short of these expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this shop to others based on this experience. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the products, and in this case, both aspects were lacking.

Never tried this place before for food and snacks as i don't live in Bolton but having tasted some of the food over the last week, i have to say it was the best i've had in a long time. Great taste and a huge choice of dishes to choose from. Exemplary service to the communities in Bolton.

Good place to visit for home like food with friendly staff

As usual went there for their famous jalebi. I have tried every item they have and they taste the best. Dabeli is good for those who like bit spicy taste. Both type of Shev are too good. 2nd time I went there experience was not that good. Jalebi was not as it was during first time. But the taste was good. The location is easy to find and parking space is available.

Food wasnt great and tasted stale. Only thing that was okay was the khaman dokhla. The onion bhajis were like rocks, so was the mithai, the patras were watery. They weigh everything by the kilo so it was 12 pound a kilo. But not sure how our bill came to 26 pounds for a few items. As another review stated they’re hesitant to give the bill but when you do get one it’s not a proper receipt of individual cost which is a shame. Found it very expensive for the taste and quality. Had to bin a few items as it was really really bad.

It's a great sweet shop but the quality is not adequate. Most recently, I bought Almond Barfi which was disastrous and I straight away throw it into the bin (total waste of hard-earned money). I bought the barfi when there were just 6 pieces left and that was my biggest mistake. I would advise everyone to buy only those sweets which are available in enough quantity (full tray) as they are mostly fresh. Also, do not hesitate to taste before buying anything as you are paying a lot of money in the end. I would recommend snacks such as Dabeli, Jalebi and Bread Pakora. In the last 3 purchases, it has been noticed that the product is less (10-30 grams) in weight. About prices, there is no transparency as no price display over the counter. Also, they won't provide you with any sort of bill until forcefully asked for one.

We order Undhiyu and Capsicum Potato. Undhiyu was one of the worst recipe and it was blend. Owner should go to India and taste Undhiyu. There was hardly any Capsicum in Capsicum and Potato. We would not recommend !!!! Disappointed 😞

The quality of the sweets are good for the price, however the overall experience is not fine with me. Gulab Jamun and Jelabi are my fav at the store.

I love the jelabis, I always go to the Bolton Halwa Centre for them when I'm visiting Bolton.

Excellent staff and excellent food. Best sweet I ever tasted. Food is simply awesome. Chappatti very expensive only.otherwise must visit.

If you enjoy cooking Indian food you will love this place. There is every ingredient you could possibly think of and more. Also some cooked food as well. More of a place to buy ingredients rather than a restaurant.

Good service, horrible food....

Visited with my friend. Tried a sweet. It was sour! Not sweet. I am not a big fan of Indian sweets but pretty sure it had gone off? I won’t give it less stars because everything else was lovely.

All curry were great, fafda jalebi excellent, all Indian mithai and farsan mouthwatering. Best place to takeaway. Also ordered for a party of 20people and they gave great service. Best place to shop for diwali

I read the other reviews before I went & to be honest I'm amazed anyone could say Angela could be short tempered. I had help with my order from her and we even found time to laugh & joke, with explanations about anything I didn't understand. I came away very happy. The take away order I took with me was enjoyed by everyone & it is cooked fresh on the premises. The smell is amazing when you go in as well. You get the feeling that you are buying food that would be on sale in Mumbai.

If you are in the area pop in for great Indian sweet and other Indian products.

The staff are always friendly and approachable for me, and the food and sweets have never disappointed. Surprised of the one negative comment, I've always been polite and have always received politeness back from the staff - however, I go for the food - and it always pleases! A** for me!

Best in Bolton for indian sweets and savoury snacks

Visited today, ordered a takeaway dish which should normally come with accompaniments however the staff tried to charge EXTRA for these. When asked why, the owners wife Angela Kumar launched into an abusive tirade which shocked others in the restaurant. She then tore up the order and stated they didn't want the business!! This is fine, because I won't be returning, and strongly advise others to take heed ... you have been warned!!
