We went for Afternoon Tea for 2. Having been before we were confident we were in for a real treat, and we weren’t disappointed. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AFTERNOON TEAS WE HAVE HAD. AND THE BEST VALUE. From the minute we arrived the staff were so accommodating. Had set a table up for us inside. We asked if we could sit outside and absolutely no trouble for them. The afternoon tea arrived and the quality and choice was as usual excellent and very well presented. 8 well filled and fresh finger sandwiches. 2 large fresh warm and tasty scones with plentiful jam and cream. And if you manage to get through that, 2 lemon desserts (delicious) 2 fresh cream chocolate muffins and 2 strawberry cheesecakes. Believe me if you can get through all that you’re doing well! Needles to say we took some home with us. Please don’t miss out on this, go on give yourself a treat.

We waited an 1hr for light bite lunch. Sandwich & Chips x2. Chef could not even follow a simple request. Allergy is critical and the chef failed with both sandwiches. I always check though as i don't trust that my allergy request will be delivered.

Breakfast cooked fresh, nicely presented. We enjoyed our breakfast. Nice relaxed restaurant. Only thing is, the cutlery put in containers is with the part use to put food in your mouth, butter/cut toast, etc, be better to have it other way round so got it out by handle part.

Today I experienced some of the worst customer service Ive had... I was about to say for a long time, but unfortunately I had the same experience only a month ago at the same cafe and at the hands of the same woman. This woman, who works there two days a week, one which is Monday, knew we were waiting but deliberately chose to ignore us preferring to clear tables. It was 3.40pm and the cafe was officially open another 40 mins, but she obviously wanted no more customers, and made it very clear by her attitude. The bearded chef sat nearby tapping at his laptop also ignoring us, so we left without being served. We complained to garden centre staff who said the problem is being addressed, so hopefully in the near future things will change, as these cafe staff are spoiling what was a lovely garden centre experience.

Used to like this place, but just had bad experience. Took our order then informed common item not available. After a 1/2 hr wait, food arrived with food overcooked and on my case the wrong order. Expensive, lacking flavour, poor preparation and it wasn’t even that busy. Cake for desert was dry as well. No redeeming features and won’t be visiting again.

Popped in to look at Xmas decorations and have a light snack in cafe whilst we were there at 350pm on a Saturday. Cafe staff all grouped together eating/drinking on a table and at least 1 rolled their eyes upon our entrance. Wouldn’t serve us soup as stopped serving hot food apparently, though the door sign said 430 was when hot food finished.... funny that. Oh and your large individual biscuits out on the table are all out of date. Poor, won’t be returning.

Enjoyed a BOGOF voucher for afternoon tea at Little Heath for after 3pm. Sandwiches were Cheese and Chutney, Egg and Cress, Ham and Mustard and Tuna. 2 scones with clotted cream and jam. Lemon drizzle cake and Victoria sponge. One drink only which seems a bit mean. Table was ready as we booked in advance.

My wife and I purchased some plants and I went back to buy more. Unfortunately all sold. Male in outdoor part advised me to leave my name and telephone number at the tills. I did just that and was promised a call the following Monday when the member of staff would be on duty. No call, purchased plants from Webb’s, who I recommend. It must be very reassuring to be doing so well that you can ignore customers. Now have membership card with Webb’s, what a difference. We will not bother Burcot Garden Centre again, bloody customers.

We attend the garden centre very often it is a good varied centre and dog friendly so we often visit the cafe too. If the cafe is busy we like to sit in a lovely area inside the garden centre as some customers look a bit uncomfortable with the dog, but the area we sit in is very nice and usually quiet. Today 21/5/19 We popped in for lunch but felt a bit unwelcome as they appeared to be using the area a a stores, aalso a customer had put their trolley across the entrance door, and someone else had put a pushchair the other side of the door. The staff had to use the other door but did nothing about the access. The meal was lovely and staff can't be responsible for other people's lack of consideration. Perhaps a sign on the door, and garden centre staff not using it as a storage area might help.

Choice of menu very limited, staff not friendly. The day we went we thought we would sit in the garden room, but the connecting door was locked. When asked if we could take the Dog in, the girl had to consult another member of staff to agree it was okay. They used to do some nice meals but appear to be aiming at a fast food establishment. The toilets are the other end of the garden centre, so go before you have a drink or a meal.

Just moved into the area and decided to pop in, have a browse and maybe get some food. The menu was comprehensive and there's a board of daily specials. We had a lot of tea while we decided what to eat. Trouble was we were seeing everyone else's food coming out and it all looked amazing which made our choice more difficult. I opted for the breaded plaice and my sister had the cheese and onion pie. There's no fast food, just good food as was proven when our meals came. Piping hot, quality food, excellent portions. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. There's the opportunity to sign up free to a rewards card which you can use in store and includes the restaurant. Some great offers and discounts in store. This place is going to become my new local.

My daughter and myself recently enjoyed afternoon tea at Little Heath. I can highly recommend it as it was excellent value for money. The sandwiches were full of filling on lovely fresh bread, the scone was delicious and so filling that we could not manage the cakes. The waitress kindly gave us some foil so we could take them home to enjoy later. This I did and again the cake was lovely, light and with a lovely flavour.

We had pie,cod goujons and a quiche, tea for 2 and a soft drink, total cost £30.06.We felt that given the poor quality of a very soggy steak pie with3 pieces of possible steak,a really soggy and lukewarm quiche and a large amount of heavily fried goujons was not very good value. My daughter managed to eat 4 of the goujons took the rest home where dustbin eating dog turned her nose up and left them.

Been to the garden centre a few times, first time today stopped and used the cafe & had a breakfast, was looking forward to it as they advertise there award winning sausage and bacon that they buy in, so a huge disappointment when the breakfast arrives and the sausage looked a bit dried up, I knew straight away it had been pre cooked and reheated which was a real shame took all the tastiness of the sausage away, the Breakfast should be fresh no excuses! Otherwise would of been 5* as staff were friendly cafe nice and clean and a good atmosphere,

As we had time to kill before heading to our appointment we decided to go for a look around the garden centre and have a drink at the tearoom. Tearoom was very nice, mom enjoyed her carrot cake slice, saying it was very moist. I also had a look at the gift section as I was looking for a new makeup bag. I was shocked to see they we between £14.99 and £17.99, though they were nice and seemed good quality the William Morris ones are cheaper in John Lewis stores. Would go back to use the tearooms.

Nice place to take a friend for a coffee and a cake. Obviously, it is a garden centre, so your not going to be in what I call a proper restuarant. It is a very clean and inviting coffee shop, with cakes and limited lunch time foods. Nevertheless, it is nice to visit the garden centre and then have a cup of tea and a scone etc.

Having enjoyed tea and cake here before I was looking forward to it again with my friend. We were disappointed. The mocha cake looked better than it tasted as it was dry and tasted of nothing. Tea and coffee were OK but 2 pieces of cake and two hot drinks were not worth over £9.00. We were hoping to browse the shop after as it's normally lovely but there was not much stock and it was messy and disorganised, in fact it looked like it was closing down. Won't bother again.

Our second visit to Little Heath Garden Centre was most disappointing, we were meeting family there on our recommendation. Arriving at the restaurant, we ordered our meals intending to order for our guests who had been held up just before the " last orders" of 3pm. We were warned that there was a delay in meals which we were okay with. When our meals arrived I attempted to order the other meals at 2.45 but was told that the agency chef was not accepting any more orders. My Cottage Pie was overcooked as were my Wife's Cod Goujons and even though the Cottage Pie already contained peas, I must have had at least half a pound of peas in addition. I initially thought that they must have been covering some of the pie....but no it was a mountain of peas ! The young lady who served us told us that the usual Chef was on holiday, but it unfortunate that standards slipped so much from our last visit. It certainly will not put us off visiting again, but we hope the "Normal Service Will Be Resumed As Soon As Possible"

I've been going to the cafe at Little Heath Garden Centre for years. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. There has been a change of ownership recently, and we were concerned that everything would be spoiled. On the contrary; the ongoing refurbishments have improved the Garden Centre areas and the cafe has retained it's friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There is now a lovely seating area outside for warmer days. Large slices of the homemade cakes which were always a favourite, are still available. For me the reason for repeated return visits is is always the coffee, as regular readers will know, It's good coffee and reasonably priced. They also have fresh cream for the coffee, which is a must for my dietary requirements.

The Sunday roast beef lunch was so small we thought it was a child's portion. 3 very small paper thin slices of bought in slice beef from the supermarket if it weighted 3oz you would be lucky. The plate arrived with Yorkshire pudding hiding the slices with the gravey on it but we then waited for the veg by which time all had gone cold. This was a complete Faulty tower. You couldn't make it up. Will certainly not be going back. And £18 for a cheap bottle of wine. NOT A PLACE TO VISIT.

After a long journey to Alvechurch Marina we were pleasantly surprised to find a pub on the doorstep before setting off on a weeks cruise on The Birmingham & Worcester Canal. We were more than disappointed to find no food available on a Saturday evening and to compound our woes a canal side pub that doesn’t allow dogs, What is that all about? Anyway we ventured into the village and found a lovely meal, superb beer, hospitality and a welcome for the hound. As for The Weighbridge NO.

We have been using this venue for ages and it never fails to please. Some time since our last visit and now under different management but good and service were as good as ever. We understand that hospitality is suffering and the menu now offers a reduced choice but no real problem. The only criticism is that the dining room was so cold! Several diners wore their overcoats throughout. We will return in warmer weather. Otherwise five star.
