10/10 breakfast, service and drinks! Very affordable, they could even charge more money as the food was that good! Everything is made fresh! Sometimes the service was a bit slow as the waitress who takes your order, does your order by herself which can slow things down. But I'd definitely visit again!

Awesome sandwich shop. Great choices, friendly staff, great prices. I've popped in here a few times now and am never disappointed. Visited with a group of colleagues last Saturday and they all raved about their food, hence a deserved review. Right by the red jet / town quay, LFFs is handy for picking up a freshly made picnic.

This place is well worth finding down the side streets. The staff are mega friendly and the panini's are freaking awesome!

Really nice, ggod choice of well filled sandwiches/baugettes and friendly staff - the queue outside is testament itself to the quality and popularity - limited outside seating but plenty of seats on the nearby quay - it is down a small cutway lading to the REDJet booking office so could be missed but well worth looking out for if you just want this type of lunch

Tiny place no room to sit in or out so took takeway lunch out. Had coronation baguettes, very nice but not as nice as your Ryde's cafe ones. Will return though when next in Cowes.

Because you did not give me a choice how to pay I won't go back to you sorry handling cash is not a high risk now right I had a bacon baguette I think someone forgot to put the butter inside the staff attitude not good just my personal opinion you should have a sign on the window saying no cash not inside the shop you might think you're clever by can't handle cash but you've lost someone who lives in cowes up pompey

Walked in today. Asked for a bacon and sausage baguette. Was asked if I wanted any sauce. The correct answer to my question of "what sauce have you got?" is not "Ugh...red, brown, barbecue, you know, the usual?!" Awful customer service from a silly little girl who thought she was being clever. Told her to leave my order, I'll go somewhere else from now on.

Having come across French Franks in Newport we were delighted to find another FF in Cowes. Once again we were able to enjoy a delicious takeaway lunch from a great little business which is definitely recommended.

This morning was a very disappointing visit (15.12.19). I love French franks, it has always been great quality and good service but today the staff were a let down.We walked through the door at 9am as they opened and ended up in a queue behind two other groups. The service was so slow, we moved to the till at 9.08 to be served. We started to order carrying on with how the staff had been working - one on food and one on drinks. The girl serving food completely ignored us and proceeded to have a chat with someone in the queue behind us and start serving their drink (we had ordered two drinks and one baguette so) - we pointed out that we were ahead in the queue and were waiting to be served - the girl heard (looked at us as we spoke) but completely ignored us and carried on making her friends drink. On the basis that we had a boat to make we paid for the drink that had been made and walked out missing the drink and food.Given that this is a commuter destination some form of promptness in service would be good. If we had actually been served in order it would have been fine, but the staff member being so blasé about serving her friends first left us without food and drink having waited 10 minutes (what’s the point in queuing?).So, long story cut short, it’s a great place let down by one member of staff (the slowest and scruffiest I’ve ever seen, tattoos and nose piercing was quite disgusting on show). Honestly, it’s a real shame, I know to expect slower service from fresh food and drinks, but that was a joke and serving friends first despite the order is not on.

My only go to place for coffee in Cowes. The team are great and so is the coffee. LFF opens super early for the early commuters, always smiling even at 06:00am. A fab lunch stop too.

Went in with my wife and two kids. Greated with what can only be described as Monday Morning Blues by the two girls serving. Even a booming ‘good morning’ from myself didn’t seem to shake them out of this gloomy state. Perhaps there was an underlying reason but in this industry you have to maintain an acceptable level of service. A smile would have done!Anyway the coffee and food were excellent! I will return but probably not on a Monday morning Update: 30th August 2019Following my last visit in 2017 where I reported poor service I returned yesterday for the first time since. The service was exceptional and the staff were so nice and attentive. The baguettes were just delicious and my flat white was the best coffee I have had since visiting Italy many years ago. Now fully deserves 5 stars!

Tiny little sandwich bar type place, with a few benches and tables. Right next to ferry office. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks ere freshly made and delicious. My hot chocolate was delicious, made with real chocolate, not powder. My dad's banana milkshake was freshly made and he loved it. The others had tea. The decor is very local and there is a fun isle of Wight shaped picture on the wall. We were a bit late for pastries and they had run out, but the sandwiches etc. Looked delicious

Badly understaffed, arrived at 12:30 on Wed & the queue was out of the door, understandably busy with it being lunch but management need to look at why you have too few staff who can't cope with a rush when the menu is a pretty small & easy to prepare.

Coming in here, you can get a smile with your food and drinks! Not normally something I've been able to associate with French Franks before. The staff always seem to be having fun and enjoy being at work. All freshly made infant of you and nothing costs the earth. I'd have to recommend the pulled pork, or if they have none, the bang bang chicken.

its a shame its taken LFF so long to be on TA because it should easily be in the top 10 in Cowes. situated perfectly for the Red Jet it offers a small but superb selection of snacks. The coffee is the best in Cowes and the food is freshly made with a large selection of fillings available. there is seating outside which even throughout the winter often seems to be basking in sunshine. don't waste your time in Costa when you can enjoy LFF

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
