Dishes are good but a little expensive

I had here the best sichuan beef brisket i ever had. We waited for the seat for maybe 10 minutes, restaurant was totally full. Food came in less then 5 minutes, it was really fast and amazing. Better than many foods i had in Asia. Servis was nice, tables cleaned after every customer. I will love to come back

Love this place, was seated relatively quickly for a busy period! It was a shame they didn't have cripsy pork belly or duck BUT the food we did manage to order was very good and very tasty! Loved the cold sichuan style chicken and the char siu was very well done. Quick service

One of the best Chinese restaurants in China town! We go to this restaurant very often when we go to central London. Our favourite dishes are the roasted duck and the fragrant hotpot!

Reasonable price but taste quite western that may not too fit for Hong Kong People. But staff nice and area also big enough that comfortable.

A lovely meal there today. A friendly greeting and at 2.45pm on a Saturday, we were straight in with a party of 3x. Jasmine tea, 1/2 aromatic duck (prepared at the table), and a few other things. They forget to bring the rice, but then didn't try to charge us for it. Really, really good food!!

As a cantonese I have to say the food here is SOOOOOO GOOD. We came here for dinner two days in a row during our stay in London. I don’t think the complain about waiting time in some comments is fair. This place is insanely popular and it has a reason😃. 烧鸭 叉烧 炒牛河 猪肚鸡。正！！

After an hour of waiting we were finally helped by a lady who had clearly mastered the art of 'polite distance'. Our expectations weren't particularly high, but even we weren't counting on some of the food simply not showing up. Fortunately, the rest of the food was fast and excellent, but the incomplete order still caused some disappointment. So after a quick meal we were soon outside again. An experience that does not really remain in the memory, except for the long wait and the missed dishes.

The eel I ordered was quite good, unfortunately the pork dish my mother ordered had 0 spice and the breading was 90% of the pork strips with hardly any meat.

First of all, the service is TERRIBLE, I come here every week just for the food, some of the staffs can even recognize me, but most of the staffs are still very rude even though we sometimes chat about random stuff. Your food is okay, but the service is too bad that no matter how good your food is, you’re still getting a very low score. Is it that hard to be polite! I’m paying you lots of service charge EVERY WEEK, sometimes even twice a week, and I spend at least £80 EVERY TIME, do I not deserve a good attitude? I am the customer, you should never express your negative mood to me. TRAIN YOUR STAFF.

if you can avoid this place just DO IT! Staff is VERY RUDE. They made us pay the service charge after a long discussion in front of everyone which was embarrassing. There are plenty of amazing places around china town so choose any other that I’m pretty sure they will treat you so much better (which is not a hard thing to do). Never coming back again.

Avoid this place!!! There are many incredible places to eat in this neighborhood, don't fall into this trap. The treatment was pitiful, they treated us in terrible ways, we felt uncomfortable all the time, the food was just plain, of course. And to make matters worse, they tried to charge us a very high service fee, which of course we did not pay. (Don't let them rip you off, you are not obligated to pay it, but they will try to sneak it in) DISGUSTING SITE

The whole staff seemed racist as they talked rudely to all of my friends at all times. The staff behaved passive aggressively every time we asked for anything. I asked for service charges to be taken off and the first thing the guy said was, “why?” And then threw the card machine on table and took the oranges on the table away and the other waiter came to us at the same time and asked us to leave. Horrendous experience. Definitely never going back here ever again.

Unfortunately, the waiter exhibited rudeness and a lack of professionalism, addressing us in an inappropriate manner and treating us differently compared to other patrons. Additionally, our order was incorrect, and we felt neglected throughout our dining experience, which significantly detracted from our overall enjoyment.

The service was very poor. There was a waiter in there named Edward who wouldn't welcome us. And told us not to enter because it was very cold outside. Be wary of this Chinese man named Edward.

Subterranean unfriendly and stroppy service Based on the food, you were more of a walking wallet. While my wife's shrimp was OK, my shredded beef was the worst I've ever had: there was practically no beef, just sugary breading. Completely outrageous! Under no circumstances would I go there again

Cantonese roast half duck, egg fried rice and satay chicken including service £40. Excellent food and was very tasty. Highly recommend will definitely return.

The spicy crab in this shop is so delicious! ! ! Super recommended! ! ! I must check in once a week, just for the spicy crab 🦀. I come to this restaurant every week! ! ! ! Pork belly chicken is also delicious! ! ! Highly recommended! ! !

One of the worst Chinese restaurants I've been to, an absolute tourist trap. Order half a Peking duck £28, no way it's half, bulked up with prawn crackers, it was moist and tasty though. I ordered wine that never came along with no hoi sin sauce. Wanton soup was pink meat inside and my daughter has been sick 12 hours after eating her wonton soup. Service charge on the bill that's not discretionary made for an expensive meal in my opinion £109 for not much food and loaded with MSG. Service was stern and no friendly by the older ladies running this tired restaurant. Won't go back, should of gone back the Plumb Valley.

Excellent salted egg prawn (not on menu but kitchen makes it) and garlic kailan (Chinese broccoli) and delicious tender beef in the horfun (wide rice noodles). The roast pork and char shiu (BBQ pork) were a bit dry but the roast duck still good. Space is tight but there is extra searing upstairs. The waitress was kind enough to seat us downstairs for accessibility.

Guy serving us was very rude and argumentative, I was really looking forward to going to this place to try the food, but it was ruined by the experience, I also find the food to be over priced.

Had lunch here and the food was great! Not sure why there were reviews saying that service was bad because the they were all really friendly from start to end! Really liked the tofu with enoki mushrooms. The taste blew us away and we like it much better than the duck, which was also fabulous by the way.

Terrible, unpleasant and super aggressive and unfriendly staff. I will not return nor recommend it.

Typical Chinese food restaurant. Located in the Chinatown neighborhood of London. Small place, but very busy. Personal, friendly, attentive and professional, with very fast service, delicious and abundant dishes with very good presentation. We went for the Google Maps reviews and it was really worth it. because we wanted to try Chinese food in London although I was left wanting to try their specialty, Lacquered duck 100% recommended

This is the nicest Chinese food I've ever had . We chose the sharing menu . Hot and sour souk , Duck , beef in Blackbean, sweet and sour chicken, rice and Chinese veg . It was all beautiful . The beef was the best Chinese dish I've ever had !!! It was all lovely though . I could have eaten the rice on its own it was so nice . The staff were really friendly and had good allergen awareness .

Have been a regular customer. Bought a roasted duck today for take away. Not fully cooked. Should have spent my 35 pounds somewhere else.

Crowded, tight sitting area. Noisy. You need to have ALL guest arived before welcome to be seated. Dishes size are smaller than before. Taste OK but much better than the next door restaurant.

The best yet Duck rice ever. There are few four seasons and my particular favourite and agreed by the family is this one. The left side to the other four seasons Chinese restaurant on Gerrard St. It’s juicy and tender. Perfect blend with the egg fried rice. I have tried the Bayswater as well but it is as good. Service isn’t great but pretty much like other Chinese restaurants. Well to be fair they are very quick and fast but just not great with PR. Toilet is clean too FYI. Recommended!

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! Asked the lady manager something I wasn't sure, what I got told back was just a very rude response. Also, everytime the lady chopping chef was in the front, I get a very small portion of meat. The male chef is much better. Unbelievable.

Recommended for a cheeky Chinese on a night out. Food is okay and served fast. You're not going for the service etc, space (due to the prime location) is tight. I go here often and we've kindof settled on this joint after trying the others in the area.

I ordered a plate of rice with 2 types of roast: roast pork and roast duck. The roasted pork skin wasn't that crispy but the true disappointment was the roasted duck meat- 3 miserable looking pieces which were mainly bones with not much meat. I feel truly cheated.

Gave me mix meat box with 85% rice, 3 tiny cuts of skin.on duck breast. And 5 tiny pieces of char siu. Half the amount I used to get. Outrageously bad portion sizes/ratios. Food is tasty but you'll still be hungry after.

I actually really loved the service we've gotten from I think her name was Lucy. She was so hospitable and accomodating. The food was pretty decent and full of flavour.

Food was great but the woman who served us was very rude!! That woman with a mole on her face who gets our bill and its not that busy at that time but she raised her voice at me for mistakenly tapping my card earlier than needed.

The food here was okay, but the service was extremely terrible. We ordered 7 dishes, and they spent almost half an hour to serve the first plate. Also, two of the waiters that serve our table, didn’t even show us any respect. When we asked them to leave one menu to us for additional orders, he just threw the menu on the table. No need to mention their attitude, one of the worst services I’ve ever seen. I won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I’ll never come back again.

The food was ‘nice’, I wouldn’t really go any further than that, I’ve had far better. Certainly not worth the £83 paid for 2 adults. £11+ for 2 portions of egg fried rice, which to be honest I struggled to find any egg in. The half duck at £22 was nice, but I have had nicer. A chicken hotpot cost us £27?! And 2 Tiger Beers which came to £11.50 I think. Then the 12.5% service charge.. staff were ok but wouldn’t say were exceptionally friendly. Chinatown always used to be good value, this was my first time there in a while but to be quite honest I felt quite ripped off. Treat yourself and go to a nice restaurant with a nice setting instead.

The food is great! Everything we tried was very tasty. Only drinks are a weak point here - drinks are not important here. Since space is quite limited, there is an indescribable pressure to leave the table immediately after eating. So it's definitely not a suitable place to sit quietly and enjoy for long. But the quality of the food is definitely worth stopping by for foodies. You really won't regret it.

Absolutely divine food, the portion sizes were massive for a fantastic price, i ended up taking my leftovers for dinner which the staff helped with, will definitely be coming back and would really recommend for anyone on a budget or interested in trying new food. The service was fast and it was the type of food that is not only delicious but also taste like its good for you, i got the soy noodles which is much more basic but my friend got the soup dumplings that were fantastic and the broth that came with was to die for it was so good!

I have known the chef of this restaurant since 1990, he is originally from Hong Kong. He must be old now, I worked with him for a few months in France. I recognize his dishes. When it was in the kitchen, it was super good, the best of the best. Now that he's gone, it's just as good but not the same, not the hand of the master. Yes sir madam, he is a master, a great master of Hong Kong cuisine. On the other hand, they could have removed the hairs and feathers more seriously. If the big boss were there, it wouldn't be the same.

I was told they can’t serve a table for one! I am not sure why they would refuse business while they had empty tables. Restaurant next door had a line. I will put a formal complaint with the city!

Really enjoyed our dinner here! Authentic Chinese food. The host at the beginning of the restauranf was very friendly. The other waiters are not, but the food was good though.

Customer acceptance stage I went to this place at around 7pm and was quite surprise because I didn't have to queue, in fact, the male waitress who was standing at the door passionately noticing us and inviting us to come inside and he directly gave us a table. Ordering stage The ordering process was quite straight forward. The food came about 10 minutes after we ordered (actually not really sure how long, but it was definitely under 15 mins). Eating stage When I tried the food, I was very happy because it was so good! I had eaten many chinese food throughout my life (including roasted duck and pork) and I was pretty satisfied with the taste of the food here. Post eating and payment stage When I finished my meal and wanted to pay, unfortunately the nice male waitress was already gone and then I realised that the others don't have the same energy with him (and I suspect this is the main reason of some of bad reviews). But, since the food were good and my stomach was full, I didn't care too much about this and finished the payment process as quick as possible. Trip down to London from Scotland, amazing food, lovely host, brilliant atmosphere!

It took a long time for the waiter to attend to us, and they were rude and so dismissive. We saw 3 different guests leave because the waiters were not attending to them after being there for 10minutes

The service is poor, the hygiene is poor, the service fee is still so high, the eating utensils are dusty and not washed, the photos and paintings are in large portions but in small portions

Appalling services throughout. It was utterly disgusting with how you treat your customers. You still dare to charge service charge of 12%? What service? Providing bland food and shouting customer services that would bring tears to my eyes. Demeaning me and looking down on me. Services like this triggered my depression and anxiety. Foods from this restaurant are so bland that volvo have more taste than this. What got me even further was that some ingredients was missing from my food! I could see that others have ordered the exact same and I didn't even get the same thing as them. Mine was missing a whole ton. Absolutely do not go. Do not recommend and must avoid at all cost. Disgusting "services" and food.

AVOID! Never recommending this to anybody! Extremely terrible service throughout! We had just gotten to our seats and the staff started shouting at us multiple times, wanting us to order now and when I wasn't clear about the menu, they were incredibly impatient about it and raised their voice even more. I teared up because of this attitude, disgusting service! They then started taking the plates away while we were still eating. I had noticed some of the ingredients missing while I saw that others were able to have. The food was also extremely bland.

I think there are better Chinese to eat. The duck was good but the noodles with vegetables...there were no vegetables. The worst Chinese noodles I have ever eaten. All very dirty...like almost all Chinese people and London in general. I'm not coming back here.

the poor service isn’t worth the food, you’re better off going down the road to a friendlier restaurant. our service we received was inadequate and rude, one simple slip up in us ordering and the woman showed a gross attitude. it’s not necessary. being nice to customers is simple manners. of course we asked to remove service charge and the waitress questioned it and refused? i politely challenged her and asked if this was a genuine legal precaution and it is not. surely when you receive poor service, you are liable to remove the £6 service charge. train your staff better in manners and politeness and maybe you can reach the 4 stars rating 👍🏼

There are 3 shops in London. Only the bayswater roasted duck is good. The other 2 in Chinatown are not the real thing with the smaller shop there serving awful duck with lots of feathers on the skin still. That’s the one with no duck hanging outside. Poor quality control

We were beckoned in at 9pm and we thought we would give it a chance despite the reviews. 9.15pm they took our order. By 10.50 they made it very clear that they wanted us to leave. We got the pecking duck and whilst it was good it certainly was not half a duck as the menu says. It was covered in duck skin and bulked up by wontons both on the bottom and the top to make it look like a dish worth £29.50 when in reality should have cost £18 maximum. 4 dishes ordered and the lady comes with the bill at 9.30pm when we had just started eating...bill reading £98.00 (more than 12% tip added on the bill automatically). Really disappointed and not worth the money at all. The worst part was the lady standing by the table at 9.45 looking at us literally making us feel uncomfortable to leave. Why did you beckon us in at 9pm if you were going to kick us out 40 minutes later. Not a nice experience at all!

Very fun night made extremely engaging because of Ricky Tam. He is quite possibly the best waiter you'll ever have in your life. He's engaging, timely, hilarious, and teaches the nuances between the cuisine. You'll be lucky to have him. Also, the peking duck and eggplant dishes are exactly as you'd want.

Nice roast duck dish. The dusk meat is tender amd juicy. Make sure you eat it when it is hot for the nice aroma. When it is cold , it tastes a tad disgusting. The braised beef dish is good but a little too salty for me. The staff speaks english but they were a little rude once you enter and sit at their restaurant. There is no more discount when you pay by cash. I would say they are a little arrogant and haughty and act as if they di not need anither customer once you enter as a guest, as contrast to how they are when they are at the door eyeing for potential customer. We went after 8 so there is no queue. There are some who come and takeaway their roast duck dish, which is a wiser choice to my opinion since their service is a little nonchalant.

Bought roast duck as a whole but was not the four seasons duck next door and got my order wrong when they initially cut it up ad I requested for whole duck. Looks like it came from freezer and cost 35.90. Should have checked ducks nearby as there were dome restaurants that did this better. Won't be coming again.

A busy place for diners in Chinatown. Got to wait for a table, but it wasn't a long wait. Be prepared to sit where there is available tables. They also have sitting on the first floor. Various selections on the menu. Rice is charged separately at £3 50 per person. If you pay by cash, there is a 10% discount on the overall bill. Food overall is alright in terms of quality and quantity. We ordered stir fried kai lan, sweet sour chicken and taufu as well as a Yong chow fried rice and Singapore Fried Bihun to take away. We paid like £74cash.

Service is acceptable , Foods is ok but food prices and service fee are exceptional expansive 15% of foods prices many others restaurants in London don’t take service fee but this one don’t even ask you , they added to the bill , overall not recommend because of high cost 160 pounds for 5 dishes. Maybe only for very rich people.

Food is ok but the service is horrible. We tried declining to add a tip, but the server berated us that they need to add a tip to keep the prices low and the workers need the tip?!!! We don't want to ruin our day as we're on vacation so we just caved in. Will never ever go back!!!

It's China town of course you're going to get good food but the service was ultra fast. We were a little bit hemmed in so space is at a premium despite having lots of rooms, that said it added to the family atmosphere of the place.

I don’t know what’s the difference between little four seasons and the actual four seasons restaurant. This time, the duck is a little dry. I didn’t enjoy it as much. A little disappointed though. Service is good, the time when I was there.

Food is good, but not worth on the price. It is very pricey. 5 of us spend 190 pounds for a dinner. The environment is very crowed. Service is very limited and cold attitude.

I got a take away of the special fried rice and prawn crackers , they asked if we wanted a bag and put an extra charge before we had time to say no , when we did they removed the charge , the food came in a carrier bag anyway. The rice was boiled and had no flavour but was very greasy and even the prawn crackers was just grease it was like everything had been sat in oil but never fried , very disappointing hardly any special in the rice , very disappointing

Way too many restaurants in the area to be treated like this. Upon entering the place was told (not led by waiter) to go up the stairs and turn left. Waited upstairs (after being told just sit over there) only to be ignored while the waiter helped two other tables who came quite some time after we had seated ourselves. Don't know how the food tastes because we did not stay. Not paying for rude treatment. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Amazing food and service... The best of Chinatown....

Crispy pork belly was very nice, but they came with mustard dip, was not a superb idea. Stir fried Ho fun with beef was a superb. Won Ton soup didn't taste so good, I didn't like it at all. The meat is really good and the portion is quite large, but it doesn’t match the foreigner’s sauce. The fried beef is very good. Just by looking at it, you can tell that the beef is very chewy and tastes great! There was a very fishy smell of pork in the wonton soup. The chef needs to control the quality of the pork. This smell cannot be masked by adding a little more wine!

Doesn't deserve a bad review, the people who said they had bad service must of influenced them because we had smiles, laughter and top notch service. As people who order duck everywhere we go if it's on the menu this is by far the absolute best we have had. Specifically the Cantonese roast duck. Very good service, we are getting a vibe and n London that some low TripAdvisor ratings do not represent bad food, best China Town meal we have had.

We arrived after a show, and the restaurant was the closing in a short while. That did not prevent them meeting our every order with excellent food served very quickly. Although we were the last to leave, we were never rushed. Not one of the 10 different dishes we ordered was below par. Good food, good value, good service, what more can you ask

I order the triple meat selection having had it next door a few weeks before. The dish didn’t come with vegetables as displayed in the photo on the menu, when I asked for vegetables the manager, Edward, said it was my problem. He was very arrogant and couldn’t care less. The portion was also much smaller than the previous visit and they tried to charge an additional £2 for noodles instead of rice, again 12 Gerrard didn’t do this.

Been here before with a larger group (7 people), came here again as a group of 4. The food is amazing g every time and the service is so quick and efficient. Only problem is you may ask them for the bill or something but they get sidelined v easily. But that’s the only problem, and once you remind them they’re on the ball. All in all, it’s my go to Chinese food place in London.

unfortunately, the owner tried to overcharge me. He said a price and asked me to tap my card directly. I asked to see the receipt first and it was another price.
