Late night Chinese food. Good service and nice food. Reasonable waiting time for table and for food once ordered. Recommend.

If you have symptoms of food poisoning from this establishment like I did vomiting and diarrhea please report to the food standards agency online (green coloured website), you enter the postcode of establishment and you can go from there. It's Westminster council it has to be reported to.They have had one other complaint December 2023 and now with my one it will make it two. Please report immediately as they will carry on poisoning people if they are not reported.

The food is very good and delicious we went out for a night out & have a taste of their variety dishes, i wish to come back some other time.

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Friday night I went out with my friend, nothing else open but this deadly establishment. My friend and I ordered the Singapore fried rice and roast pork belly and duck. I have experienced the worst food poisoning of my life. Severe diarrhea and I have projectile vomited over 7 times. My stomach is pain. Absolutely ruined my weekend. This place is absolutely filthy, please read the reviews. This place should be closed down.

The staff are polite and can communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. The food is amazing and authentic, reminding me of my grandmother's cooking, and it does well in "dine in" and "takeaway" style. The menu is strong on many fronts, you can try different dishes and they are all delicious and varied. It's not too salty or oily either.

Ordered Hainan chicken rice, the chicken given to me were mostly bones pieces ,looked like unwanted leftovers being put together to form a dish ... My friend ordered the roast dishes of BBQ pork and roast pork belly... They were served cold... Service was quick in terms of taking order, food servings, clearing out the dishes, giving u the bills and kicking u out... they charge u 10% service charge and yet still ask u if U would like to give them extra gratitude when U paying by card. Awful experience and will not return.

The most legit and best Chinese restaurant in London! Hands down the best! The Beef noodles is to die for and the service is quick and the atmosphere is excellent.

On Sunday evening I came in to old town 97 hoping to just have a quick meal alone before heading home: I was sat down and served swiftly and my food was brought quite quick. I ordered the duck and pork belly and when it came it wasn’t terrible but I did notice it was a bit cold and not crispy. I finish my meal and head home. After several hours pass I become violently sick. I was so sick for so many days there was even blood. I had to go to the hospital and it turns out I got really severe food poisoning. One persons careless preparation of my food meant for an entire week I have been off work and unwell. I will not be back.

brother vomitted a few times after eating LSE fried rice. Deliveroo said that the restaurant should call or at least email to follow up but nothing recieved.

We went to old town 97 around 9pm and got seated straight away. The food was great, big portions and came out straight away, we had the sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, fried chicken noodles, salt and pepper wings and chicken sweetcorn soup. The service was amazing, the waiters were very attentive 10/10 would come back and highly recommend.

LSE fried rice is worth trying. Not sure about anything else.

We visited Old Town 97 during the very busy Christmas period and we were accommodated without a booking. For lunch we tried several noodle (chicken and prawn) and rice (pork) dishes. We also had ordered some calamari and sea weed. All were very tasty. The food came out very quickly and the staff were friendly at all times. Would like to go back and try the duck and some of the other dishes which looked very tempting.

慕名來食LSE炒飯，食起來不功不過吧，不難吃也沒有特別好吃，沒吃過來試試是可以的，但不值得再來。海南雞飯的雞味道有點奇怪，雲吞亦有陣不正常的怪味，並且完全不正宗。唯一值得讚揚的是店面很大很多位置不需要排隊，並且上菜速度很快。

Traditional and yummy Cantonese Chinese food in Chinatown open until at least 3am each morning. Good WonTon soup and really enjoyed their black bean sauce chicken. They had roast BBQ meats hanging in the windows and served a wide range of dishes.

Unclean, toilets are disgusting the toilet door was covered in dirty hand and finger marks which was cover with food!!! Joke was there was lots of cleaning products near by. Tables and menus unclean and greasy, rushed to order and leave, wouldn’t go again.

Staff actually work like Hong Kong waiting staff, rude, obnoxious and cocky…. The place is open all day through to 3am, it’s a house converted into a restaurant with five to six tables in each room/floor… you’d queue if you’re not early… busy with take always… aside from the above the food is actually good, the roast meat has authentic HK taste and is a decent portion size, the Laksa is probably the best dish on the menu. Very big portion size… there is a lot of choice which makes this place a good bet.. the downside is the service, I’ve come to expect this whilst in Hong Kong but to see it’s travelled over to the uk kinda makes you think 🤔 truth be told all the Chinese restaurant in Chinatown must stipulate you to be rude and obnoxious to qualify for employment as it’s not just old town that’s like this, I have to admit old town isn’t the worst for attitude but don’t be surprised if you feel out out by this… due to it opening into the early hours, everyone descends here… good food poor service.. still, I will be back

Probably one of my fav go to Chinese restaurant in Londons West End. Yea the waiters can be rude and short but bottom line is the food is great and pretty authentic. I’m biased because They have my ultimate favorite salted egg fried prawns 🍤. So yea expect waiters to be short with you - they deal with hundreds of people daily… but the food speaks for itself

We just wanted a quick meal before we went to the theatre. Service was good, a little too quick at times and food came quickly. Food was tasty and big portions and reasonably priced.

tree weeks ago I go a take away, soft crab and pork ribs what took 15 minutes waiting and was really good what made me coming back again Today I had exactly the same and only took 5 minutes. Because I tent to believe in People I paid and walk back to eat at work. The crab was cold and full of oil the pork ribs complete dry meet as been reheating in the microwave. They know are given me bad food still no honesty or proud to serve good food. pay £36 for that a reaping off. you not just lost a client but also all my colleagues from work. Hainanese chicken rice Cha Siu rice Spicy Aubergine with shredded pork Pork & preserved egg congee Rice in hainanese chicken rice was good, chicken was strangled bathing in soy sauce Cha siu was tender and the flavour was authentic Aubergine flavour was authentic, not too salty, could do with less corn starch Congee lacked condiments, had to fish for them, not too salty either (often the case with restaurant congee)

Staff were very friendly and did everything they could to accommodate our party of 5 on a very busy Thursday evening! Food was served fast and was delicious, staff thanked us all on exit also! Would definitely return

This restaurants stays open until late night. You can always find great food for sure. It is a bit expensive but as the position is quite central it is understandably pricey.

I visited Old Town 97 for some late-night food with a friend on a busy Friday. After waiting for a couple of minutes outside to be seated, we were then directed to the third floor to eat. Whilst the staff were not the worst I have ever experienced, they were certainly not the best. The room we were directed to was small, cramped and overcrowded. The owners would be wise to invest in some soft furnishing or celling batons in order to reduce the noise levels. To put it bluntly, the food was some of the worst food I have ever tasted. The 'chicken' was of a very poor quality, the chicken satay was Additionally, we were never given an option to have our appetisers and main meals separately so ended up with the main meals arriving ahead of the mixed appetisers. We wouldn’t go back.

The trouble of this restaurant was there were too many customers but too few waiters, who mostly did not have good command of English. We were recommended to come here, but to be honest, due to my intensive travel experiences to Asian countries like Hong Kong and China, I think their food was not that great. For a start, the fried green vegetable with garlic was too salty, the fried beef hofan was too saucy and too many slices of beef that we didn't find any hofan ( they were hidden under piles of beef), other dishes tasted quite average. And the majority of people here believed the waiters were rude and abrupt, but I think they were not rude, they were just too embarrass to speak a broken English or actually didn't understand questions raised by customers. As for abrupt, true, due to the never-ending customers getting in and with limited tables. Great efforts have to be made to tackle all these issues, however, I don't think the owners will bother as they are never short of customers.

This place is just horrendous. Waiters are very unfriendly and most of them barely speak English which complicates everything because they can’t answer your questions about the menu.

Went here with my family .. the food is authentic Chinese the bbq pork and the broccoli were my fav .. didn't love the lo mein but everything else we enjoyed!!

The bill we received last night didn't show any breakdown of what we ordered. We were then told that the tip was not included either. We were having a good time so we didn't really think about it then, it's only when we got home that we realised that we were overcharged by almost £20. We were out on Leicester Square and really wanted to try somewhere in Chinatown. We got to the restaurant about 9.30pm. Almost right away I seen Old Town 97. It looked very busy and there was a great choice on the menu so we thought we would try here. We were taken in and seated very quickly and asked for our drinks order. At this point I had no issue with the service as I was keen to order.

Los servidores de la red volvieron a ser iguales cada vez que parábamos a tomar algo. . . ¿Has terminado? No. Si nuestra copa de vino estaba vacía o no, estaban intentando recargarla. DETENER. Los principales fueron limpiados no pudieron terminar el tamaño de la poción eran grandes. Antes de que pudiéramos preguntarles a los niños si querían desertar, la cuenta estaba allí sin pedir ni terminar el vino. . No está mal de precio 64 libras en total. No hay propina. Servicio apresurado y forzado. Mi compañero con el que estuve tenía un par de restaurantes, dijo que estaba sorprendido e intentaría acomodar cualquier cosa que la gente les pidiera que hicieran. No podía creerlo. Ni yo tampoco. Entonces me di cuenta. Nunca apuraron a los comensales chinos y este era el lugar en el que no estaban confiados en que regresaras. Así que no importaba. Estábamos en Piccadilly Circus y decidimos comer comida china. Finalmente decidimos en 1 que se veía bien. Cuando le pregunté al mesero si aceptaban la tarjeta de crédito, noté que no estaba contento. Mi esposo comenzó a preguntar acerca de la composición del plato que iba a ordenar, y en la mitad de la consulta, el camarero se alejó para responder a una llamada sin "perdón". Y tienen el descaro de cobrar el 7% de servicio. Aunque la comida estaba bien, el servicio era pésimo. El camarero miró a todos lados excepto a nosotros mientras pedimos nuestra comida. ¡Era como si no estuviéramos allí! ! ! Gran error comiendo allí.

Adeptes de cuisine asiatique, nous nous sommes arrêtés devant ce restaurant de Chinatown... quelle belle surprise !! Les plats sont copieux et très goûteux ! Mention spéciale pour le canard laqué , servi à la part , en moitié ou entier ! Très bonne soupe au canard , ainsi que le poisson aigre douce ... bref de belles saveurs et un personnel agréable !

Firstly, this review is made on the basis of the food only. I’ve been visiting this place for years and the quality of the food has been consistently very good. Ice cold Tsingtao was a good starting point. We ordered sweat and sour chicken (this was superb), crispy shredded beef in peking sauce (excellent), crispy sliced duck (so succulent) and curry Laksa (amazing curry with noodles) with a portion of fried rice (one portion was enough for two people). The food was delivered literally within minutes of being ordered, was fresh and delicious.

The food was ultimately amazing and could not knock them down for this food wise I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who loves Asian cuisine, however the atmosphere was appalling. There was a sound that sounded like a train going over the restaurant constantly which left me with a painful headache, the train sound turned out to be the dishwasher/ cleaning going on downstairs. The toliets were dirty and unsanitary, definitely need a clean. But the food was so good, I’ll have to grab a takeaway bag next time.

Am Ende von Chinatown haben wir uns entschieden etwas zu essen und da alles voll war, wurden wir in den 2ten Stock gelotst wo Mitarbeiter Ihr Essen auch genossen (von McDonalds). die Karte war riesig (knapp 400 Gerichte gefühlt). das Essen kam schnell und war auch eher mittelmäßig.

Rude is a gross understatement....overpriced and will rip you off if possible....won't give a detailed receipt....lots of other great value restaurants in this area so don't waste your time

Returning visit as we fancied a chinese while we were in London again... Its small basic but very busy, the service is quick and efficient, but the food is well worth it. good portions and they dont skimp on the meat. The crispy beef was great and spicy and the chicken in black bean has a good mix of meat and veg. just as we expected tasty reasonable priced food in a busy small place - loved it

Encontré este restaurante por casualidad. Nos dirigimos a la O 2 y paramos alrededor de Leicester square. para algo de comer. Estaba bien sorprendido con el excelente servicio y la pronta entrega de la comida. El menú fijo para dos fue suficiente para satisfacernos por la noche. Recomendaría una visita.
