Aroma in City of London, Westminster

I have been there many times. The food has become very poor quality recently. The chef is rude, asked not to take more than one from Teppanyaki, and kept us await for 20 minutes for a small piece of chewy stake. It is better to spend money on a restaurant. Please do go and waste money.

Aroma is a very well organised buffet restaurant who has gained high reputations from the customers through enjoyable dining environment, delicious foods cooked from fresh raw materials by skilled chiefs made on site, and professional management team working there. I extremely like the Manager Ms Joanne Tan -- whenever you enter the restaurant, her lovely warm smiles always provide kind welcomes to the clients. I highly recommend that after you finish shopping in Westfield Mall, please just cross the street then go to the upper floor in the West12 Building, find a seat in Aroma and try the various fresh-made foods there, no doubt, you will love it immediately.

6/8/24-Tuesday. My husband and I went to this restaurant for a buffet dinner. I have not been to this restaurant for a very long time. Since after my work training. I am near the restaurant's area. We decided to go for a relaxing dinner. The embient of the restaurant is peaceful and spacious. They service were excellent. The moment when the place is used and empty. The server quickly cleared the used plates away. There were wide selections of food from different areas. I believed it was a HALAL restaurant, and there was NO PORK meat served. Price is very reasonable and is also a good place for family and friends. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Salmon and shrimp sashimi were fresh; banana in custard was nice; curry lamb and beef brisket were tender. Plenty of ingredients in the Tung Yum Kung soup but it was more like tomatoe and coconut soup, lacked the taste of lemongrass, ginger and chilies.

You will be given 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat and vacate your table. Atmosphere is great lots of food options available however not the best quality meat or chicken. Poor salad options, and meat was generally oily. Service is excellent a lot of waiters go around to clean surfaces and take empty plates. Family of 4 we paid just under £100 so good value for open buffet in London. Parked on street.

A bit tired of the buffets in Chinatown, we searched a bit further out of the city centre. We were not disappointed with Aroma’s aromas and layout. With a good choice of Asian dishes, we tried various options in the different cuisines. With a special compliment for the sushi, the crispy duck and the Indian flavors, we enjoyed most of our experiences. The kids (half price) could not get enough from the handmade desserts. It was hard to stop tasting…

The food is as cheap as possible, when compared with other restaurants of the same all you can eat category. Once in you're given a very specific time to eat. It's not good value and with roughly£30 per person you're better off going elsewhere. They know well that almost no one will go to refill their plates. Onion rings are much worse than the ones you get in wetherspoon ( and that says it all) and "squid" has a very funny texture, Avoid!

I enjoyed my evening. The variety of food was good. However, there were many trays that were not refilled while is was there. I would have like to have a burger section.

Lovely restaurant, and the food was delicious. We even took food home in takeaway boxes.

The food was a bit ok, not too many dishes and it can feel that the same tastes with different dishes!! Two or three dishes of sea food bit all of them not really good Service was OK Price is not worth for that quality. The only thing that can enjoy is sweets for the kids

Everything is fine. We come with our family very often. When we left for dessert, our table was completely cleared. And it was unexpected. After all, children's and adult drinks were also ordered there. When I asked how to understand it, she could only answer and brought me our unfinished drinks from the kitchen. This is a shock at all!!!

Food was fresh, with regular resupply, so no dish was empty for too long. Staff are friendly and understanding of children. Table service was prompt clearing and cleaning the tables. Food quality was really good. Fresh and full of flavours. Really good different selections of food. For a small additional fee. Unlimited fizzy was a good idea, especially with kids. Removes the stress of final bill. Only reasonable down mark is in atmosphere, kids now hyper. Have no where to burn off the excess puddings and fizzy. Thank you Aroma for an enjoyable evening.

If you are a food lover, and has your best people along side, this is the right place for you.. It's a mixture of everything which you've already paid for and is totally unlimited.. what I clearly liked is the people are very welcoming and they want you to be enjoying their food in it's eternity. The staffs pass in between to make sure you are enjoying the food and they clear the tables and each time they do it you can have your next plate. Fresh, hot, authentic food is the highlight.. multiple options for vegetarian and non vegetarian varying with Chinese and Thai style is available. Is a must try and is absolutely worth for the money you pay.

Very good concept. Great variety of dishes. But unfortunately the food did not deliver. The food may seem reheated and was not fresh. Some of the dish seemed indelicate and the suggestion that it is dry and left for a long time. It was disappointing. The dessert department was good. The fact that the food is halal was a big plus. My kids loved the candy counter. The dessert counter with ice cream was what pulled the grade up to 3. The service was also good.

The food was good; the service...- what service?- it's a buffet, help yourself to whatever you fancy, although the empty used plates were cleared in a timely matter. Atmosphere was nice, and suprisingly it wasn't as loud as all the other buffets I've been to (loud due to noisy crowd, not something to do with the place) and it was quite busy- just more decent people maybe. Happy to have been there and will go again.

Been here since 2021 December. Came about 4 times now since then. Place is lovely, food selection is lovely, staff clean plates, and taste of food is lovely. Also the ice machine is the best for its small cube shape. Would recommend to those who love a good buffet. Lunch or dinner.

Been here three times and I can say that most of the food is really nice. Not a fan of the desserts though. It’s not always full and they have a lot of tables which is good.

Variety of the foods was fantastic so many options to try but unfortunately they were not warm specifically the currys.

The prices keep going up and the selection of food available keeps going down. The management are always miserable and rude to not only customers, but also their waiters/waitresses I've witnessed them shouting and being extremely rude to them on more than one occasion, they behave like they don't want you there, and are now even writing the time you have to leave on your table which is extremely unwelcoming. The food is very basic and the selection hasn't changed in almost twenty years. Anything that involves Beef, Lamb or Duck is basically the fat and connective tissue, as they use the cheapest cuts with hardly any meat.

I feel like I'm in a nightclub, so loud the music plays!

Aroma buffet used to be good before covid. After covid, last month was the first time back to Aroma for lunch. Paid £16 each person. It's not worth it. None of them are tasty. Even the soup is terrible. I'm not sure is this restaurant runs by new owner or they have changed the new chef. Woodgreen JRC is a lot much better. Not recommend to go to that Aroma Buffet.

No lamb ribs!!! Was told they're not coming back!! Won't be going back there again as the ribs were my favourite! Also, the price is a bit much now!!

Public health need to check the salt content of the food on offer here, everything laced with waaaay too much salt. Many lunch items over or under cooked. Suspect the over cooking was left over from the previous evening and reheated. Every piece of chicken tasted like it had been chemically washed before being cooked. I would certainly not recommend this place.

Nothing was fresh so expensive and the Chinese food options were very less very disappointed. I have been to many Chinese buffet but this was waste of money.

Average buffet. They offer many cuisines but very few options for each one. Mostly sides and carbohydrates with limited main proteing entrees. Drinks have to be purchased separately.

Food dry. Certainly not worth £25

Brilliant selection, relaxed atmosphere to sit fir as long as you want. We dropped our daughter to the eventim apollo and walked here for the evening.

It would be so much if there was more of a selection of food there. I personally do not eat pork but for those who do, I did not see any of it there. Plus, families need to support their children more when in the eatery. I found that far too many were running around risking harm to themselves as people used the buffet area.

I hesitated to come to this restaurant, because of the bad reviews I had seen on the internet. I absolutely do not regret coming, I have rarely seen so much choice in an all-you-can-eat buffet with the quality that goes with it! Everything was very good, and the fact that the drinks are also unlimited is a big highlight. I recommend !

I was really excited to try this out ... there was a fair amount of choices but the quality was really bad ... not fresh at all ... considering it is £20 each person you are better off going to a chinese and order from the menu ... the ambient was very noisy and l didnt enjoy it at all ... Update, l decided to try it out today again, now £25 per person+ drink and nothing has changed..even worst than last time....l give it a rest forever sorry ..😔

Lots of foods to choose from. Restaurant is eat as much as you can. Environment cosy, sometimes can get a bit too loud. Escavatators and lift to the floor where it's located.

A great experience all-round. Amazing food with a vast variety of delicious food. I would definitely recommend the seafood. Make sure you get an ice cream roll made too! £25 per person and refill soda for £3.

I was looking forward to trying this buffet place but I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. Bland, poorly cooked. Some dishes were mushy, other too hard and undercooked. Honestly, don't waste your money. I regret not reading reviews before we went. Also, they told us over the phone that children under 150cm eat free, but once we got there it turned out they'd have to pay £13 each.

I had a delightful experience at the Aroma buffet. Perhaps it was because I was surrounded by my family. The food was okay, although I must admit that I found the dessert to be more pleasurable than the main course.

Really nice Halal all you can eat buffet with mostly asian food, quality price ratio is unbeatable and the food is really tasty and diverse! Huge dessert selection also! Also Booking are not possible, walk ins only!

Delicious food, staff is friendly and very professional, the place is spacious and there is plenty of choice. Go early in the day as it gets busy after 1.30 pm.

A great venue for Japanese food in London. It can get quite busy, so def book if you are keen, would be my advice.

I've been to all you can eat buffet before and they were a lot better than this on. Mass production of food, even my grandchildren, didn't like it, and they eat anything. Disappointed as we had travelled a distance to go there with family. We won't be going back again.

In the Chinese buffet, we had a wonderful experience. There were numerous food options to choose from, and the dessert section was particularly impressive, featuring an amazing ice cream roll station. Overall, it was an incredible experience that exceeded our expectations.

Great choice of food but it was all just like warm unfortunately. It should have been much hotter.

My 11 year old grandson had to pay adult price because he was tall. Food tasted awful, and had to wait over 20 minutes for certain foods to be refilled. Not the best mothers day experience! Never again...

We arrived there exactly at 12. So we were the first to enter. The food was really really yummy but there was no steak like other buffets or fresh bread. But the food is definitely a five star apart from the sweets. They really tasted and looked quite old. The outer layer of the cake was hard. You know that look when you leave your cake for days on the table? Yeah that's exactly how it was. Fruits looked and tasted canned. But the main food was so good. Will surely go back again there soon!!

The front-of-house who greeted me was very well-spoken and got a table sorted promptly. The wait for the table was only for a few minutes and soon I was escorted to my table. I was brought to the table which had not been cleaned yet. I knew the floor staff who escorted me would clean it regardless. However, for the few minutes I was waiting for my table, the table should have been cleaned before escorting the customer over. The food was good, nothing extravagant, but nothing bad. However, a few of the options like sushi and sashimi had run out and hadn't been replenished throughout my alloted time. The general sanitation of the buffet area was good, but some very simple misses were spotted. There was a half-empty bowl of soup next to the two soup pots, and it remained for all 2 hours of my dine-in. I can say the same about the counter surface near the sushi, which had a visible amount of sauce, which once again, was not tended to for the entire time. None of these are big problems, but it makes you question the floor staff's attention to detail. Also, I don't have any allergies, and I know that going to a buffet always comes with the risk of indirect contamination. The chances will never be 0%, but regular attention to the cleanliness of the facilities will vastly decrease the chances of a customer having an allergic reaction. In addition, the plates and silverware were running severely low near the end of my dine-in. However, I will give the benefit of the doubt, and assume this was only the case because it was approaching closing time. Aside from the negative, the bar was very pleasant as well as the dessert.

Its buffet food and from a range of cusines so dint expect the best or even close to the best of anything. But the venue is clean and well decorated .. food area seemed clean and food was ok .. which is better than any other buffet ive been to in england defo the best aroma iv been too

This was really disappointing. We were really hungry and had been looking forward to the buffet. The food standard was very poor. Everything was so dried out. The duck was like sawdust, pancakes snapped (yes snapped) when I tried to roll it as it was so dry. I got the impression everything was bought frozen and just defrosted and dumped in a tray. The chocolate fountain looked unwell... it was dry round the edge. Cakes looked horrible, and the ice cream was like frozen mousse. I was actually embarrassed. Sorry if I appeared rude when I left without saying thank you, but after paying £56 for 2 people and then having to experience that was really REALLY irritating. Rip off.

Definitely not worth the money, food tasteless, and barely warm, the noodles had a strange taste maybe to much salt or something 😒 Alot of the food was not replenished, so lots of empty trays. Try finding a plate!! I won't be going back.

Food was excellent,a giant variety of what you could eat,I 100% recommend this.The service was great,as soon as me and my friend finished the plates were taken.All of this is good but one thing was that there were people pranking us and putting food in our chairs which I sat on

Had the best meal there recently for Chinese new year. We were spoilt by the choices available. Even kids tried lots of different food and asked to go back again. Highly recommend it.

This place is not worth the money at all and actually ruined an otherwise good valentines day for me and my boyfriend. The food is bad quality- half of the food is cold and dry and a lot of the main foods (noodles, rice etc) does not taste how it is supposed to, that also includes the desserts- and it is very overcrowded and almost overstimulating. Many customers have zero spatial awareness. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone for a date or even a casual dinner out.

We paid 25pounds each for lunch here at the weekend. Had a max of 1 hour and 30 mins for the table before I think they ask you to leave. We didn't stay that long so unsure. Food was OK, not always hot, typical buffet fare but a wide variety Probably wouldn't go back, too busy and noisy and food quality not great.

Came here with my family for my nieces birthday and I was so embarrassed the food was so bad that it made my niece cry. The food is tasteless, dry and limited options! It’s our second time and I can truly say that the food wasn’t like this the first time. Won’t be coming back here again… go elsewhere ie JRC global.

Previously i gave them 5* review, however overtime specially in the last 6 months the restaurant has gone down the drain. We last visited Sunday at around 8:15pm, and as we walked in we noticed hardly anything was available, and whatever was there was old. Price has gone up to £25 adult +£3 for soft drinks and I think £12 for children. Not worth anything. Very disappointed.

Went to Aroma buffet on Saturday 27th Jan 2024. Food was OK at best, took a long time to refill dishes once they finished. Nothing was terrible but nothing great either. Imo massively over priced! £25pp not including drinks. For that price much better options available.

The only disappointed thing was I had to pay full price for the grandchildren but the food was nice.
