Great place in Woodhall Spa we found whilst staying at Tattersall Lakes. We were looking for dog friendly cafes that allowed dogs inside and came across this little gem. So four adults (& 5 dogs) had Scampi & Chips, Sausage Egg & Chips, & 2 Breakfasts(1 large, 1 small) + Drinks & this came to just under £30 !. Unbelievable value, great tasting food which is locally sourced. A proper traditional cafe. We were amazed at the low prices and think they are underselling themselves. Praise where praise is due - put your prices up ! Great service as well, will definitely return.

If you want pleasant service, good food and a clean environment, this is NOT for you. Undercooked bacon, overcooked mushrooms, reheated (a few times I reckon) beans and insipid tasteless teas, and the most miserable server ever. Plus grubby all over feel. Filthy chair covers, radiator and flies fighting for our food. I let them win as no way could I eat that!! We may as well just walked in, given them £12 & walked out again!

There seemed to be a couple of cafes/tea rooms on that block that had closed down, so this looked like an option. The decor/tables/seating are fairly basic, but adequate. Unlike most places, the hot drinks all seemed to be the same price i.e. a cappuccino for the same price as a cup of tea. “Sorry the coffee machine has broken”! Okay I’ll have a cup of tea then… The cakes were good value. Nice people. We had a bit of banter.

It was such a lovely day we decided at short notice to go for a walk around Woodhall Spa. This was the first cafe we came across and we were amazed at the prices. Really reasonable and as the place was rather busy we decided to give it a go. If the food was terrible it would have been empty! The menu isn't enormous but then neither is the cafe. There's plenty of choice for such a small place. We went for a full all day breakfast (Sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown, tomato, beans, mushrooms and toast) and ham, egg and chips and a couple of coffees. The ham was delicious. Great quality and thick enough. The eggs had beautiful golden yolks. The full English was great quality too - all piping hot. The place was busy so we had to wait a while but we were in no hurry and the drinks came really quickly. The meals cost £5 each - honestly. Absolutely great value for the quality and quantity of the food we were served. The cafe 2 doors down was charging £3.50 more for breakfast. Don't let the cheap prices put you off Little Dorrits. Great no frills cooking of quality food and at a great price. We will be back.

We called in for breakfast. There were a few people in front of us but didn't think we would have to wait that long. We ordered and waited. The cafe started to fill up and everyone who came in afterwards was getting their food orders. The ventilation is shocking and I had to stand outside. I finally asked where our breakfast was as everyone after us had there's to be told they we're busy. We paid for the drinks and left. Never again!

Had a great Sunday morning breakfast here - Large full English with 2 locallly sourced “real” sausages, 2 x bacon ( cooked well done at my request) and all the expected extras for £6.50. Food was fresh cooked and hot and the staff were friendly and efficient. A small cafe and it was a little warm (it was a hot summers morning) but hey, if you want air conditioning go to McRonalds. This is a proper traditional cafe with background music provided by a portable, somewhat tinny, radio which somehow provides the ideal ambience. We loved it!

We didn’t have to wait long, coffees soon delivered, & toasted tea cakes with butter soon followed. Absolutely delicious 😋!!!!! We loved the cinnamon flavour in the tea cake, yummy!!!! A very kind lady came & chatted to my hubby & I, & gave Lenny some gravy bones. We absolutely love 💕 the ambiance, the prices are simply amazing!!!! We will return & we highly recommend!! Went into this little restaurant/cafe for lunch. Firstly it is very clean and airy with an open feeling and pleasant ambience. We saw fish ,chips and mushy peasadvertised od an A board outside and thats what we ordered. It cost only £5 each. When it arrived it was smaller than a traditional fish and chip shop helping but it was enough and reasonable value for money. The fish I think was breaded frozen but the whole meal was very tasty.I had a coffee which was also very nice. So in summing up it was a nice reasonably priced lunch. I will go there again and would recommend it. PS. Dogs are allowed inside.

I had scrambled eggs on toast which was ok ...i recieved mine ages before hubby so we didn't eat together. Sauce bottles were dirty and tables needed wiping. There are a lot of little things to be done and this could be a great place. One thing that did annoy was the person from the kitchen did go out to a shop in her apron which is against health and safety. Also toilet needs a mega clean....would hate to see the kitchen. visited yesterday and was absolutely disgusted how dirty the place was, white chairs are black where people have handled them, tables not been wiped, table legs black with dust, remnants of food on condiments, dust in sugar containers, dead insects on windowsills, as you can gather we will not be returning.

What a great breakfast and great service, well done to the nice lady who looked after us when we had breakfast there last Tuesday, all on her own cooking and serving all the tables.

Scrambled egg was a bit watery and only toast on offer was cheap white bread. The young girl who served us was very pleasant however.

Fantastic breakfast, lovely cup of tea. Only one lady working at the time but she was doing a fantastic job. 100% would go again if I was in the area.

Grabbed a quick coffee on our recent visit and sat outside to watch the world go by. Great coffee and super friendly staff. The food that was being served looked great but we did not sample on this visit :-)

Little Dorrits is an unpretentious eatery at the south end of the main street through Woodhall Spa, opposite the Dambuster's Memorial. It has a couple of tables outside (like many Woodhall cafes do) and room inside for, probably, 20-30 covers. We had a couple of brunches, mixed and matched from the limited menu and very reasonably priced at around £15 including a coffee and a pot of tea. The sausages, eggs and bacon were all excellent and we think are locally sourced. You can ask for what you want, using the menu as a list of what's available, and there's no quibble. It was a few minutes wait but worth it, as it was all freshly cooked. The cakes also looked pretty good but we didn't sample those. Recommended for lunch if you're a traditional sort of eater. It's open in the evenings too.

Woodall Spa is a nice place, a small town in the heart of what was once a part of Lincolnshire that was home to a number of RAF airbases. This is recognised by the Bomber Command Memorial which stands by the crossroads at the centre of the town.Woodall Spa is a nice place to walk round, untouched by the chains of pubs, stores and coffee houses which seem to infect everywhere these days. That doesn't mean choice is lacking...there is plenty!I like Woodall Spa and come here fairly regularly. There is a nice park and then there are walks in the wood and afterwards, places for refreshment. In the latter respect we are constrained by our dog Harley. Fortunately, on this nice sunny and quite warm early Spring day there were several cafes along Station Road which had thoughtfully placed tables and chairs outside. One of them was Little Dorrit's. We arrived late morning and wanted refreshments before having a walk round and this cafe seemed interesting. We sat outside with Harley and having perused the menu I went inside to order. There was one other customer, but at weekends and high season I'm sure Little Dorrit's would be much busier. I placed our order with the pleasant lady behind the counter – who we later discovered was the proprietor - and returned to my partner.Within a very short time our hot drinks came, and a tea pot enough for several cups each. Shortly afterwards our hot food was brought to us. We'd ordered sausage baps and these were the largest I'd ever seen. Three sausages slit in half and stacked to make three layers. They were done to perfection and we all enjoyed them...Harley had some small pieces for himself! After we'd finished, we had a chat with the proprietor, a very nice lady, who explained that most of the products on the menu were locally sourced in the town and the cakes were made by her own fair hand.I sure we'll come again next time.

My husband and I along with 4 adult family members called in here to try for the first time. The staff soon put the tables together to accommodate us and were very welcoming. We ordered 3 full English breakfasts, bacon bap, cake !! Then I ordered certain items as I'm a coeliac. The lady checked the ingredients for me and mine was all cooked seperarly from the others, nothing was to much for them. All the food was served together and was lovely and hot. As full English breakfasts go my husband says it's one of the best he's had proper Lincolnshire sausages and bacon, a good plate full with two rounds of thick toast. Everybody enjoyed the food, the ladies were lovely and we will be returning, thank you.

After reading reviews on here, we were dubious about visiting while holidaying nearby. We couldn't seem to get a cooked breakfast from most nearby places so decided to give it a try. This place isn't the most modern, best decorated place but it was clean and the food was actually beautifully cooked and offered good value for money. I could actually see our meals being done and observed good food safety/hygiene practices being carried out. Initially the lady running this place seemed a little short with us but then came across as actually really lovely. She asked how our holiday was going and checked everything was ok with our food. She seemed genuinely pleased to see us return a few days later.

Visit to the seaside wanted fish and chips, as I'm gluten free I usually struggle. Not here have gluten free on the menu, also curry sauce. We both had regular fish and chips, mine was wrapped separately from husbands as he had normal.Great portions glad we didn't go for the large.

Had a couple of roasts today which came with free desserts. Meal was lovely, fresh, hot, just what you expect. We was really happy with that.....but....half an hour after leaving we realised we had left a bag behind. Money, cards, car keys, medication, all stuff hard to replace when on holiday. We returned to the Windsor and the lady who was serving, cleaning etc said she saw the bag as soon as we left, so put it safe behind the counter. Panic over. We can't thank you enough xxx

Can't begin to say how bad this pub was, miserable landlady and landlord and the worst food I have ever not eaten. I say not eaten as we didn't get through even a quarter of the plate of awful food we were offered. My husband said the beer was okay but please don't bother with the food it REALLY ISNT WORTH IT.

We went specifically to this venue for breakfast. We ordered different breakfasts and made some changes to one of them with the helpful counter staff. The tea in the tea pot was cold and we took it back for a replacement hot tea pot. The breakfast was brought to us by a member of staff who did not smile or speak. Having ordered extra well done bacon we were surprised to note that it certainly hadn't been even well done. The plates were cold and so was half of the breakfast, the rest of it cooling rapidly. The toast and prepacked butter were placed on the top of the breakfast and we had to use our fingers to try and get them off the top, even though there was nowhere to put them (have they never heard of side plates)? All in all, very poor. Customer care is clearly not a priority.

Visited here yesterday as we have done many times previously and i was on my VERY SMALL electric scooter (ES). It was quite busy but not full as it is fairly small inside. Myself and my scooter took up the same amount of sitting on the chair as i was situated so i didn't need to use their chair and if on a large bike this would not have been possible. However a young girl asked if i could leave my ES outside and walk in which i could not as not able to do so. I replied we have been in there previously and had never been an issue but she said the couldn't allow it when they were busy. I would not have gone in if i was going to cause an issue or restrict any of the pathways and so i felt i had to leave, which we did. However there was 3 tables occupied by approx 12 men who were blocking pathways and not eating anything and were loudly talking to each other across the tables who were who were quite clearly obstructive but seemingly that was ok !!! I am disgusted in this day and age that such discrimination persists and i will not use them again. Perhaps they need to add a sign to the windows stating people with mobility aids would not be allowed in busy periods. Totally Disgusted. LInda Halls
