Little Dessert Shop in Birmingham

Went there about 19.45. Ordered at the till as no table service. Only 1 other table occupied. So place was dead, no atmosphere or music. 4 waitresses behind the counter talking. Ordered milkshakes n ready made cakes. Waited 45 mins till milkshakes arrived. And another 10 for the cakes. They have guest WiFi, but nobody knew the password. Another table arrived, Ordered, then waited 30 mins, then left after receiving nothing. If this is the service when it's dead, God help you if there's more people.

visited little dessert shop today, Amelia was outstanding with her customer service, manners, and the deserts she made were the best ever compared to other branches. The deserts looked like Michelin star standard. Didn't take pics this time as was too nice to wait, had to eat it all quickly. Definitely Amelia needs to become the Mamager and pay rise ASAP please.

Pedido a través de deliveryoo y tomó más de una hora y media en un martes por la noche. Ni siquiera contestan a sus teléfonos, así que me mantendría bien lejos de pedir desde aquí. Tuvimos que ir a la mezquita a rezar y no pudimos cancelar la orden.

Mi amigo pidió un batido y una taza de té. Se burlaron de ella la joven en el mostrador para su elección. No le gustó esta actitud, ya que esto es lo que le gustaba y estropeó su tarde en Birmingham.

I visited the place at 1 PM on Saturday and found it quiet and very peaceful. The environment is beautiful and undeniably Instagram-worthy, while the staff were kind and welcoming. It’s definitely a great spot to catch up with friends over non-alcoholic drinks and desserts. I ordered the passion fruit espresso, and my friend opted for the passion fruit lemonade. It was my first time trying a passion fruit espresso. Although my palate isn’t overly refined, I really enjoyed it. There was a subtle citrus note if the passion fruit, which in turn balanced the natural bitterness of the coffee and resulted in a smooth, refreshingly light drink. In short, it struck a pleasant balance without letting either the passion fruit or coffee dominate. My friend’s passion fruit lemonade, however, leaned a bit too sour for my taste. I also ordered the red velvet cheesecake and Victoria sponge cake to go. While I haven’t tried them yet, the presentation looks promising. The cheesecake appears to use real cream cheese for its cream, and the texture of the red velvet cake seems perfectly moist. Likewise, the Victoria sponge looks wonderfully soft, reminiscent of memory foam in its gentle consistency. I look forward to updating this review once I’ve had a chance to taste the cakes.

I’m very disappointed, I wanted a treat & it turned out to be irritating…. we were told that we’d be waiting 40 mins, once i’d ordered I asked how long it would take, I was told 25-30 mins… we were waiting over an hour for our desserts and I ordered french toast that was quite obviously re heated, it was dry, chewy and absolutely drenched in the toppings that I chose which made it sickly, a cake that we ordered wasn’t in stock, but we were told when the rest of the order came out… then we were told to choose another cake & the woman said she’d be back in a min… I was then irritated as all the desserts we had was finished & the new cake wasn’t even ordered let alone brought to us… so we went to the front and waited ages again for a cake to go into a box…. we then left without the ice cream and had to go back in when I was handed 2 instead of 1, I understand that this was them trying to make everything ok, but at this point it was ridiculous, the dessert wasn’t ok but we didn’t want to waste money nor wait another hour onwards!!!! annoyed I paid so much money for a crap time!!!

I have been to many dessert places and this is the BEST out of all of them!! Highly recommend you going. 10/10 for everything such as food and service. Staff member are extremely friendly and kind. Make sure to make your way down if your ever in the Kings Heath area

If i could give 0 stars i would. I order of uber eats from here loads of times and after what i witnessed today NEVER AGAIN. Went in to order for collection and had to wait a awful long time. During this time not one of the girls wore gloves. They were picking up the waffles with their bare hands. They kept touching surfaces, phones, till and than touch the desserts and put them in the box . The way they spoke to delivery drivers was DISGUSTING. They would ask a simple question but they would respond in such a rude manner and tone. I have never witnessed something like this in my life. I asked for where my order was and they didn’t even start it yet but the girls was stood there doing nothing. The girl who took my order was the only decent worker this place had. The other 2 are nothing but a jobs worth and they should really learn how to speak to customers as well as the drivers. Im so glad i seen all this with my own eyes and will never be getting anything from this disgusting unhygienic place ever again

I came with my family we ordered cappuccino, flat white and waffle with a strawberry and extra ice cream, The waitress told me The waiting time 15 to 20 minutes after that, it’s okay. I wait more than 35 minutes than they send me the drink, it was cold . It was the same two cappuccino no flat white we drink the cappuccino another 15 minutes they send me the waffle. The taste was called as well. Honestly, I didn’t enjoyed it.

Great place to dine in for desserts, the decor is cute and desserts are amazing. Service was excellent and staff are friendly. Would 100% be coming back again!

I came to the shop today and was greeted nicely by all staff, everything was organised and my order was spot on. The food was delicious and the waitress with the hijab that served me was polite and well mannered also was very helpful when I asked for water and more cutlery... would definitely recommend everyone to go down and try it out.

Worst reception I get on purpose they don’t answer call goes straight to answer phone we tried contacting deliveroo they have said restaurant don’t answer but goes straight to answer phone the delivery driver have said he been waiting 15/20 min because staff too busy chatting giggling wasting time not making the orders what can the drivers do to wait and when we do get the order it’s cold waffles turned out

Somehow the stuff that was meant to be warm was cold, and what was meant to be cold was warm. the driver took 5 minutes to arrive, so clearly the food wasn't stored adequately when waiting to be picked up

I popped into Kings Heath Dessert Shop the other day and it was a real treat. The vibe was super laid back and the staff were really friendly, making me feel right at home. I had a waffle that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, loaded with awesome toppings, and the milkshake was thick and totally hit the spot. Everything just tasted amazing and was served in a very down-to-earth way. I left with a big smile on my face and can’t wait to go back for another round of delicious treats.

would’ve been 5 stars, the dessert was lovely but i found a black hair in the food, it looks lighter because there’s pistachio all over it. the girl at the front was so kind but i think she should be wearing a hairnet if she’s preparing food.

Driver never delivered food via Just Eat. Tried to contact shop to confirm but they wouldn't/couldn't replace stolen order and said to contact Just Eat, even though Just Eat take a whole week to reply. They wanted me to pay £55 worth of food again but I had used a discount code. Completely wasted a 40% discount code!

waited two and a half hours for my order which I did not recieve and on my app it said delivered. restaurant was not helpfull at all. last week I ordered from same place and yet again waiting waited two and a half hours and they cancelled my order with out a reason . not happy at all. no apology no compensation. not happy

if your looking to get the new 'viral' strawberry pistachio kunafa, do not go to little dessert shop, they charge £8.50 for 5 strawberries for a bit of kunafa and a pot drowned in chocolate to cover the fact they barely added strawberries and the pistachio kunafa. honestly save your MONEY when it comes to this place, will never go here again.

Delivery time kept getting pushed back despite the driver being in the shop waiting for the collection.

French toast was hard and not edible! The strawberry shake still had icy forms in it! lacked taste so dissapointed

Ordered dessert around 10pm. The estimated delivery was originally for 10:15pm. We eventually received the order at 11:40pm. Not enough characters to explain the whole experience but I advise you steer clear of ordering from here.

Waited for nearly three hours for a small order for someone who had special medical needs (low blood sugar level) to receive their order. No answer on phone from shop with many calls going to voicemail and shop staff declining to be spoken to on phone even via courier. Dont take online orders if you can not handle volume of orders, absolute waste of time! Order elsewhere

Customer toilets out of service, an old black gentleman left the shop dissatisfied as the toilet doesn't work. I asked for a take way menu, the staff said they run out of menu. Why are you so unorganised? The service is slow.

I’ve had the food a few times however when I went in there to order and then go bathroom, apparently it was out of service however I saw a customer, walk out of there. Seemed a bit strange to me that takeaway customers paying the same wouldn’t be able to use indoor services.

They have the best brownies but their service is very slow.

Rude staff , arrived to the shop with my little kid are desperate for toilet , I thought let me use it before I order , I have seen some lady taking her daughter inside so I assumed toilet is operating,staff probably assumed that I’m just coming for the toilet and said toilet is out of order, regardless the fact they missed a costumer , it is literally inhumane to let a 5 years old boy struggle like that

My first visit to a Little Dessert Shop restaurant. It was empty when we visited (about 2pm on Friday). The staff were friendly and helpful. The desserts were fabulous. Although having one each was maybe too much. Next time maybe we'd share one between two. But it's always better to have too much than not enough, right? It's not cheap, but worth it for an occasional treat.

A great place for desserts. They have a huge range and there's plenty of space to sit and chill with family or friends. Worth a visit!

We ordered from here on the 8/12/24 and had to wait over 1 hour and 40 minutes for our order after ringing multiple times to ask where it was we got to the stage where we didn’t want the order any more and after phoning to say we wanted a refund and the order cancelled as it was so late and we wanted to go to bed to be told we couldn’t cancel the order as they had given it to the courier but he was waiting on another order to be done we was not impressed. We would like some compensation.

Hand's down has become my favourite go to desserts places,spoilt for choice now days when it comes to dessert options but this place do it right I'm usually not much a fan of franchise usually copy paste and they usually lose their quality over time or not bothered as they when they first opened now this place in my experience do luscious dessert. Staff members ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ even though it was busy the staff seem very polite and professional not (monotone) Dessert ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ you can tell what we order was great freshly prepared and not rushed it's what you'd expect when going for a dessert otherwise I can go local supermarket pick frozen tub of ice cream. Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I believe it's how you are treated when your at a place either it's restaurant or dessert, burger place you will remember it how you felt. Will I recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ recommendation is big for me because otherwise I'd get roasted if it's not good so I'm really careful when recommending to family & friends or colleagues and so I have recommended everyone I know so far. Would I return ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as long as you Keep up the persistency I'll be coming regular and to note I've spoke to the both colleagues and they're were great the chap counter and lady .

The most disgusted experience i have ever had at a shop, the staff treats everyone differently and have no basic customer ethics, first when i visited them and asked for one particular cake for takeaway and the girl was not even listening properly and made my order wrong, i let it go as i understand it happen sometimes, the second time i ordered a drink (chai) and the girl in staff took ages to even revert back to me and told me after charging me that the specific drink is not available and i had to change me order (hot chocolate) then again she left me on hold so i left the shop as i was getting late for my work too, the next day i came back to get my order she ignored me, all the 4 girls were right in front of me but were not competent enough to manage the eat in and ride orders plus the collection customer, also the hot chocolate does not take that much time only if you prefer to delay it, after asking 2,3 times one of the girls made it for me and it was the most pathetic hot chocolate i have had, the milk was cold, the texture was like water, i just left it over there. It is never about money, its the poor customer service and unprofessional rather offensive behaviour they all have shown and the impression they made will never go or change..

All the front staff young girls needs proper training of customer service they don't even say a hi or welcome, they have no basic manners Very unkind and poor service i faced today. They made me wait for more than 15 mins for a single tea nobody bothers me as a customer all they doing is just chatting and laughing, because to them my order is nothing they prefer to serve people with big order even who came after me...i consider this really disrespectful i will make a complain to the headoffice of Little Dessert Shop for this. I can't believe it's the staff of LDS. It's a brand, really shocked. Will never recommend this specific branch. Solihul town center branch is way better and have sensible staff.

I ate at this cafe a few times before COVID19. The drinks, ice creams, cheesecakes and cake selection was awesome. Ideal for a winters' afternoon or evening out. A large cafe. There's parking infront of the cafe plus it's on the 50 bus route. The new Kings Heath train station (which is being built and due to open over the next couple of years) is very closeby.

I recently visited little desert shop , and it was a great experience! The desserts were absolutely delicious and The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. Staff called Ihsaan welcomed us very nicely and suggested nice desert I can't wait to go back and try more treats! Highly recommend!

I recently tried the French toast at Little Dessert Shop, and sadly, it was a disappointing experience. I expected something soft, fluffy, and decadent, but what I received was far from it. The texture was one of the biggest letdowns—the toast was unexpectedly hard, with none of the softness that you’d hope for in a French toast. Instead of that melt-in-your-mouth richness, it felt like I was biting into a stale piece of bread. The toast lacked the warm, buttery taste that usually defines a good French toast, and it seemed almost as though it hadn’t been soaked properly before cooking. Overall, it was dry, dense, and without the comforting flavors I was hoping for. If you’re looking for a satisfying, classic French toast experience, unfortunately, this version missed the mark entirely.
