Little Arras in York

Solo encontramos esta fabulosa cafetería en nuestro último día de lo contrario habríamos estado allí todos los días! El café es el mejor que hemos tomado en mucho tiempo, y los pasteles se veían increíbles. Muy diferente. Compramos 2 preciosos panes de masa madre por £ 3. ¡10 cada uno, lo que a nuestro alrededor probablemente costaría casi cinco centavos cada uno!

Novia y yo fuimos 16 / 11 / 2024. Ella tenía un panecillo y yo tenía un dolor de almendras creo que era con chocolate blanco, avellana y fresa en la parte superior. Primera vez que voy y pedí una recomendación. No decepcionó. Esta será definitivamente nuestra opción - a la próxima vez que visitemos York y me estoy pateando por no comprar pan. ¡Si hubiera podido cambiar una cosa, habría sido descubrirla antes!

He querido probar este lugar durante mucho tiempo después de ver este lugar en todas las redes sociales. La elección fue alucinante. Todo se veía tan delicioso pero terminamos recibiendo un pastel de carne y un cronut de limón! El pastel estaba repleto de carne de res y sabores, lo que era absolutamente increíble y el cronut era enorme y lleno de relleno. Mi esposa también tomó un café con leche y dijo que también era un buen café, pero no puedo esperar para volver y tomar algo más.

Tuve una experiencia realmente desafortunada aquí. Mi hijo accidentalmente dejó caer su pastel en su camino a la mesa, la encantadora mujer detrás del mostrador me dio otro y a pesar de que me ofrecí a pagar, dijo que no se preocupara por ello. Luego limpié el desastre yo mismo, usando dos servilletas de ellos y el resto de mi bolso. Mientras estábamos comiendo, se acercó a nuestra mesa y dijo que su gerente insistió en que tenía que pagar por el segundo pastel. Mientras estaba preparado para pagar por el pastel de reemplazo (y lo hice) toda la interacción me dejó molesto. En ningún momento el gerente (que fue antipático todo el tiempo) se ofreció a ayudarme a limpiar el desastre o más servilletas. La tienda tampoco estaba tan ocupada en ese momento. Pastelería y un buen café son un lujo y un poco de amabilidad y servicio al cliente va muy lejos. Basándome en la actualidad, asumo que esta panadería depende de los turistas y no se preocupa por tratar bien a los clientes. Así que si usted está de visita en York recomiendo no venir aquí y en su lugar ir a Crumb Cupcakery donde se puede obtener un buen pastel y café de los propietarios encantadores. O ir a la panadería Blue Bird en el desorden para una buena hogaza. No vengas aquí, no serás tratado con respeto o amabilidad.

Popped into Little Arras cafe in York for a coffee and cake. The flat white was perfect, and the cake was delicious. Lovely atmosphere, and the staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

I haven’t been here for a couple of years but great to see it thriving. Sat with a coffee and the gentle flakes of a savoury croissant floating onto my plate after each delicious mouthful, I saw people arriving for their daily bread, their sneaky morning indulgence (cruffin looked beautiful) or just a coffee to take out on the walk to work. You’ll be happy with the offer. Enjoy!

The best pain au chocolat I have ever had! Will be going back for more before I leave York and will maybe stay for a drink next time.

Visited on a Saturday morning with a friend for coffee. I’ve often tried to go in but the place is always busy with only a small number of tables inside. Staff were really lovely. The ambience is so lovely. There’s so many lovely, fresh bakes and pastries to choose from. The coffee is delicious. You need to be in there quick to get a table before they sell out.

Only came for a coffee (long black) which was good. Quite a sparce interior decor, but what draws the attention is the counter of croissants, pastries and freshly baked bread. Open from 8am if you want a pastry and coffee style of breakfast.

OMG I can't believe this place finally started doing vegan deserts! The blueberry cake I bought was the best cake I've ever tasted. Moist, tasty, absolute perfection! I can't wait to see more and more vegan options coming!

Popped in for an almond croissant, but sadly we were too late...although this meant I got to try a chocolate and cherry danish. It was so nice, buttery, pastry baked beautifully with the right amount of chocolate and cherries. An indulgent treat but definitely worth the calories. Coffee was very good and my wife said her peppermint tea was nice. Will definitely be back and will try to get there early for a croissant or maybe another danish...no an almond croissant, definitely just a croissant. Maybe I'll just get both! Bread looked good as well.

Was recommended to come and try this bakery by another coffee shop down the road. You walk in and you’re inundated with a counter full of freshly baked pastries/cakes/bread. Spoilt for choice is an understatement. I came 3 days on the bounce for the Almond Croissant…. Easily in the top 5 things I’ve ate EVER! I’m sure everything else is just as good! Coffee is top tier too, square mile is a roastery I believe from Leeds, if you’re in York, don’t look any further for a quick coffee and a pastry. 10/10

Usually good for pasties and coffee, however on this occasion the pastries were way undercooked - both the croissant and cruffin, and other table’s pastries appeared the same. A real shame.

Predominantly a bakery, the goods are freshly baked on the premises so of course you get that fresh baked aroma and delicate bite. Coffee and other breakfast options with a couple of nice window seats to watch York pass by. Enjoy!
