I love this cafe! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and I felt so ‘at home’ as soon as I sat down. The cafe felt very safe with their Covid safety measures, which is really reassuring at the moment, and the staff were very charming and lovely. I ordered a latte and a cheese scone and I wasn’t disappointed. The latte was hot and frothy - just how I like it - and it was lovely to discover it was from a local coffee roaster too. The cheese scone... OMG - still warm when it was brought over it was literally heavenly. Homemade too - I would have eaten 10 if my tummy would allow! Highly recommended. A lovely, pretty and welcoming cafe serving delicious food!

We were given a voucher from friends for afternoon tea for our anniversary. I had been in hospital and couldn’t leave the house so my husband asked if they could do take away. The staff said yes and were so friendly and kind. They followed COVID guidelines and not once did he feel they put him at risk. The food was outstanding!!!!!!! We were absolutely spoiled with delicious treats and a good old cup of tea! We will definitely be going back and highly recommend to everyone to go there! Thank you for the wonderful food and service and we will definitely be back soon.

14 minutes ago Went in to grab a cuppa with my disabled husband and 8 year old daughter. Once in my disabled husband needed to use the toilet, due to his condition he needs to go regularly. All 3 of us used the toilet at this stage. We were discussing getting a drink when a woman appeared (I'm guessing the own) and quite abruptly told us we could only stay if we were getting food as it was lunchtime and you could only stay if eating. Taken aback we ordered a small amount of food after being forced to do so. We paid the bill and decided to use the toilet again before heading on our way. The owner reappeared asking if we had a problem and telling us we shouldn't be out if we are not well. I was forced to tell her in front of all the other customers that my daughter was having a poo. She basically accused us of having covid and spreading it. To the owner my DISABLED husband and 8 YEAR OLD CHILD needed to used the bathroom is no need to be rude when we are paying customers. Its obvious that I was struggling to help them both and your rude inconsiderate attitude was appalling. I'm all for helping and supporting small businesses BUT People should avoid this place like the plague after how this person treated a a wife struggling with a severely disabled husband and young child. Absolutely Disgusting

Hmm it’s an odd one. Not particularly welcoming. Wanted to look at the cakes as we fancied a coffee and cake. She was very reluctant to let us in. But we took outlet chances. We wanted to sit out side - doesn’t everyone in these strange times - but we’re told the eat out help out offer doesn’t apply to outside as that’s take away- though as the menus suggested Thursdays to sundays suggest otherwise. So we had to sit inside. Didn’t hAve cake not much selection so ordered ham and mustard sandwiches with a flat whit. Husband ordered prawn sandwhich with flat white. Honestly - it’s like having tea at your nans and not it a particularly good way. Was expecting maybe breaded ham or carved ham but not it was like you get in a supermarket in a plastic tray. Bread was basic supermarket brown bread. Oddly looks like more money is spent on the trimmings the sale and crisps than the actual sandwiches. What a shame. With so many local suppliers around why not get some local meats and bakery products? I’d rather par anotherfew quid and get something with some thought put in it. The coffee- maybe ask the suppliers which I believe is miles (local ) to give some barista training. Or just sell ‘coffee’ and not listed the various types as this wasn’t a flat white. Just making a coffee is fine if that’s what’s advertised. Shame. Could be a real winner in any other hands. Need a shake up. Loose the vintage Nik naks. Open the cafe get some staff that are happy to see you and more customer focused and invest in local suppliers. It’s the edge of exmoor. Packed with farmers and suppliers!

My wife son and I were looking for a little place for brunch and we came across this beautiful little tea room - now I don’t want to sound negative as I know covid measures are unknown and new to many-the measures here were very stringent and that I appreciate, but the conduct of one member of staff wasn’t welcoming, and to be honest my wife and I didn’t even want to get up to attend our 20 month old for fear of being ‘told off’. I know covid measures have to be strict, but manors should be innate.....coffee amazing- Food brilliant - most of the staff nice, but it takes little to feel unwelcome and the feeling you have just to leave is not nice - which we did consider. A shame because the 90% of the experience was brilliant - and coming from a hospitality background the last 10% is everything- especially in these hard times. I wish you all the best as the food and especially the coffee was great - please take on board these comments - I’m not high maintenance but just expect simple manors

Came to Minehead for a couple of days for my wife's birthday, having driven up from Cornwall, we were hungry, saw this place in the main street of Minehead, we had a pie and mash meal, it was really nice, hot and freshly prepared, the waitress was lovely and friendly, a nice cosy cafe in the centre of town beautifully serving great food that didn't break the bank, what more could you ask for??

Arrived here at about quarter to two, after walking my dog on the beach, both of us could. Dog was made welcome with a biscuit I had the days special fish pie, a pot of tea and Somerset apple cake with clotted cream. All were lovely and satisfying. It was waitress service and the staff were able to tell me the days specials. very friendly.

We visited twice during our stay, the first time my husband had the cottage pie which he said was very good. The second time we had the soup of the day which was lovely. It's been a few years since we visited this establishment, but it's still as good

Nice little Cafe with nice 50's style décor and attentive staff, although it would appear that they need more tables for two. As a couple we only had a choice of a table for four and were a little surprised to be told that we would have to share a table with another couple if a group of four came in. We appreciate there is a lack of space but if there were more smaller tables it would give them the greater flexibility they require.

Enjoyed a delicious slice of red velvet cake with tea here. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Good prices and lovely decor too, wish we had found it sooner on our holiday, will visit again if we return to Minehead for sure.

What a little gem is Lisa's Vintage Tea Shop. Wonderful food, immaculate personal service and biscuits for our little Jack Russell made it a memorable lunch. We will be back to Minehead later in the year so hope Lisa's will be open for a return visit
