Lovely little place on Linton Lock, food was tasty and well presented. We enjoyed sitting outside with a drink, making the most of the weather. Great value for money too. We'll definitely be back if in the area again.

Loved this little gem. No airs and grace here, friendly, down to earth old fashioned little pub popular with campers and locals, and happens to serve the best steak pie ever!

Couldn't fault anything about this place. Great atmosphere, service from all the staff was fun and very welcoming. The home cooked food .. wow! Great portion sizes and amazing value for money. Even on a wet day the views from the Inn are stunning. Highly reccomend a visit

The lovely staff (and patrons) of the Linton Lock Inn were just so helpful. They made us a delicious cheeseburger and chips along with a Donner pizza that came with an abundance of Donner meat. Chips were thick traditional pub chips that looked hand cut, and had been cooked to perfection. I was "encouraged" by the owners to pop in early and grab a quick drink while waiting for our food. I had a delicious and crips pint of lager and chatted to many of the locals while I waited. Overall... I'm likely to come back to Linton-on-Ouse just to visit here again, with the coal fire roaring it was a smashing place to chill out for a wee bit.

This was my first visit in many years, and things have changed but sadly not for the better. Signs have gone up restricting access both up and down stream. When I asked for a couple of menu's I was told in no uncertain terms "Nope, it's only Sunday Lunch and if you ain't booked you ain't getting in" she could not have been more smug about it if she tried. This only added to the unfriendly atmosphere we felt before entering the pub. Will not be back

Great little place, also offers camping in an idyllic setting at a good price. Pub serves homemade food that is tasty and very reasonably priced. Great pint of Worthingtons too. Great food, staff, atmosphere and drink. Can't fault it.

Great food and drink at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere in a friendly bar. A lot of the patrons are camping on the camp site or staying on boats in the marina so are all friendly and outgoing. Love going here for weekend stays.

Having spent the day moving house from Suffolk we googled a friendly country pub for dinner. As there was no website we didn’t know we had to book but we’re soon made aware that we were unwelcome. I’ve never been shouted at by a pub owner before. The most unfriendly pub we’ve ever been in. We left before our food.

Wendy is the perfect host. Amazing food, great service and immediately friendly to all that enter her premises. She looks after all customers as if they were regulars and I always have an enjoyable experience with Wendy and her team. 100% recommend the locks for food, drink and accommodation.

Refused to serve us, basically took one look at us and said they didn't serve food, people sat there eating Infront of us. Guessing they don't like large groups of young men

Called in while out cycling, outside seating only due to Covid restrictions right on the lock watching the boats go by..I had a hot beef and onion Baguette which was huge and delicious with proper Chips and gravy, and at a very reasonable £6.50 and a mug of tea, there were sandwiches and cakes and jacket potatoes on the menu they all looked great and reasonably priced... Lovely setting and friendly service, toilet facilities available

Wonderful food. The best Sunday dinner in York by far. Even the small dinners have a huge piece of meat cut straight from the joint and a great selection of veg in a side dish so you can serve your own. The lady also does a side of cheesy leeks as part of the roast dinner which I love. If I do the carboot at rufforth I will drive the extra 9/10mile out just to go here. Nice staff. Log burner in the bar that is always nice to come into when it's cold outside. Definitely worth a try, I guarantee you will have a new favourite!

What a little gem of a cafe. Breakfast service is personal and welcoming. The menu was taylored to my choice and so tasty. Yet to enjoy the evening menu but it always looks so warm and welcome when I drive by in an evening.

Went to the beeswing with my family for tea. Firstly we were greeted by a lovely waitress we hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy but she found us a table no problem. Drinks arrived swiftly and our order was taken. The children's meals came and they were huge. Plenty for my 11 and 12 year old children. Our meals were delicious, very big portions but at no sacrifice to taste. Staff were friendly, bubbly and couldn't do enough for is even though it was busy.

A cut above your normal Sunday pub lunch. Excellent presentation and really tasty. Not the normal boiled veg. Very good.

This used to be good, well the quality is still reasonable; ignoring brown bits on the salad. But the quantity has shrunk and if memory serves this is just as the price increased. Now I know times are hard but it might explain how we easily got a seat. Coffee, toastie and cake x2 cost more than two main meals and two drinks last night. To put it this way we called in to a pie shop on the way home.

Gorgeous little spot and great local cheese and tea and scones and chutney. Friendly staff too, who chatted with us for a while. They gave us free apples as well.
