Lingfield Farm in Middlesbrough

Was out yesterday for a drive and decided to find somewhere to eat and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic food with a relaxing atmosphere..The staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely not to feel rushed, so we were able to enjoy our meal and I had a cuppa..The sunday lunches were tasty and hot, I had half a chicken ( eyes too big for belly lol ) and my partner had the beef which was falling apart it was that succulent plus it was very affordable. Would definitely go back. Lovely clean loos too.

We have always had a friendly welcome at The Lingfield . Today was no exception but we tried their Sunday lunch for the first time. It was absolutely lovely - like going home to mum's! I'm a fairly fussy eater but there was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. The only food left was because I was full and the serving was very generous! We enjoyed it very much and will return!

Great environment, lovely beer garden that is dog friendly with a water bowl. Amazingly delicious food, the burger was smoky and juicy, the fries were crispy and fluffy.

2 male staff behind bar, wasn't a smile between them. Drinks very expensive, few lads going to toilet together and we all what for, i don't expect to go to toilet and see people doing cocaine...won't be in any rush to go back

We popped to macdonalds which is right next to Lingfield Farm. I was shocked at how much it was going to be so decided to go to the pub instead and im so glad that we did. I had the best burger ive ever had in my life! The landlady is a lovely lady who had a chat with us. I have made no bones about how amazing I think the food is here. I hope everyone who goes to macdonald's changes their minds and comes to rhe Lingfield instead. They will have value for mo ey be full and have a lovely experience

We love this place, can't fault it in any way, the staff go out of their way to accommodate you and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing, especially the steak ! ohh ..done to perfection. :) First choice for somewhere impromptu to go for lunch.

Absolute excellent costume service. Always bubbly and friendly. Come here twice a week for few drinks with my family. Food is always delicious and hot. Big shout out to JESS bubbly and always chatty. JAMES bringing our food to our table always friendly

This is a nice pub with a good atmosphere, service is good with cheerful bar staff, food was good and very reasonably priced.

Went for lunch with my daughter, pub busy, all tables but one were taken so we assumed the food would be quite nice. Sadly my hunter's chicken was poor, I brought most of the chicken back for my dog since it was quite dry & tough & the were chips hard & salad poor. I asked for brown sauce (to help my hard chips go down) & was told they didn't have brown sauce. However, when I walked through the pub I saw several bottles of HP sauce on the counter. So glad my daughter's veggie curry was better thasn my lunch. We didn't stay long because there was no notice up to indicate that there was Bingo on after 1.30 & the people on next table twice told us to 'shush' when we were QUIETLY chatting. We left and went elsewhere for coffee. Had we known there was going to be bingo on when we were hoping for a congenial meal and a chat we would never have ordered food. They they have a large board up inside stating what's on at the Lingfield but there was nothing on it, no mention of bingo where they should have had a notice stating bingo afternoon. Very disappointing, won't be going back.

A great experience. Jess the blonde barmaid unbelievable. Very efficient. A great laugh. Customer friendly. A great asset to the pub and the company. She knows how to get the best out of punters. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Brilliant.

Having previously visited in January and given a 1 star review and having received apologies for disappointment from manageress I decided before the apology wà made to not chance the Sunday lunch again and instead ordered a mixed grill. It came well presented and cooked as requested. In this occasion there were no complaints with the venue or staff but Oh dear they are obliged to served the food supplied to them by the brewery. I was provided with a very sharp steak knife that was needed to cut through a very grisly piece of meat cooked as requested at rare to medium. The gammon on the plate was not the most tendér and contained enough salt to seriously put one in peril of having a heart attack. My complaint now is not about the pub or staff but the fact that Marston's and many other brewery pub chains think it is OK to foist poor quality food on clients knowing mostly that people will mostly not complain. I am sorry to say that I speak as I find and if things aren't right no one is going to bother to fix anything. Come on breweries give us a fair deal nowadays eating out is no longer a cheap experience especially with the cost of living crisis but more of an occasional threat and then you take advantage of us. I have been promised by Julie the manageress that if I give them a chance and return for a Sunday lunch I will definitely not be disappointed. Than you Julie for your response to my previous negative experience and assurance that note was taken and apologise that had to find it necessary. Will look forward to calling back soon.

Recently held my father's wake at Lingfield. Julie and all her staff have been amazing, in their compassion and kindness shown throughout. There wasn't anything any of my party said that could be used to work on improvement. Simply. Keep up the great work. And thank you.

Ohh my days what a wonderful place for drinks and food! Impeccable service, lovely warm and friendly atmosphere , i would definitely recommend the beerbattered fish and chips which was absolutely delicious! Will certainly be returning 😁😁 and will definitely recommend!

Nice comfortable pub, warm and friendly. Good pub grub ,well presented and tasty.Gammon meal was spot on as was the Chicken Tikka Masala. The bar staff were chatty and informative about the menu, and the food was served quickly. Well pleased will come back soon.

This little pub has a friendly and quiet atmosphere, that is perfect for families. The bar staff are incredibly welcoming and extremely cordial.

Stopped en route back to Manchester whilst our car charged. Plenty of outdoor seats with a covered area also so felt it was ideal as we had our dog with us. On ordering tea and coffee and in attempting to order cake also we were told no food served outside. What a ridiculous rule. And what a waste of all these seats. Would not recommend.

While visiting family in the area we went to Lingfield Farm. The service / staff were lovely & friendly. It was great to have so many gluten free options on a separate menu. A nice place to visit with a relaxed atmosphere.

Visited with friends for tea. The service was good. The staff friendly. The food was basic but totally acceptable food for this type of eating place. However what was totally unacceptable was the smell from toilets. All four of us struggled to visit the toilet fir the smell. It made us bork. I spoke to a member of staff. She said they were aware. It was the drains. Why and how is it still open. Surely it a health and safety issue.

Decided to visit Lingfield farm for my birthday especially with the lovely warm weather! Myself and my partner have visited on numerous occasions before and the staff have always been warm and welcoming and the food has always been really nice too! On this occasion the guy who was serving us called Rob was really welcoming and chatty and gave great customer service couldn't fault him and at all and was alwayshappy to help, food again was really good! Will continue to visit in future thumbs up from me👍

I went here tonight with a group of 15 autistic adults on a social group. We rang the venue last minute with the booking as we’d been let down by another venue. Not only did they accommodate us but they really went the extra mile with the service. Giving each one of our service users their individual attention when ordering or even asking questions about the venue etc. food was all gorgeous and came out almost immediately. Special mention to Dan who was extremely helpful and you can just tell when someone enjoys their job as not one thing phases him with our many demands Thanks again we will be back :)

Monday night is the best night, Real Ale night so cheaper beer. Friendly & fun staff, knowledgeable about beer & always up for a chat, thank you to Rachel for her kind words & great banter.

My friend and i wanted a no fuss meal in a hurry and decided on the Lingfield Farm . Ive always had good food here and excellent service and yesterday was no exception . Our Pie , mash and peas were piping hot and delicious followed by jam sponge and chocolate fudge cake . Decided to do the Steak night - 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £20. Didn't know what to expect but what we received was absolutely fantastic value for money. Made all the better by some fantastic staff (Robb, James, Jade & Jonathan). Highly recommended!!

What a place to have family meal, incredible atmosphere child friendly wheelchair friendly. Went for lunch today. Ordered scampi, chips and peas £7.49. When my meal came to the table I was shocked at the small amount there was on the plate, it looked more like something from the Lightbite Menu.

We went last week and was not that impressed, we decided to go for the offer they had and picked 3 different dishes, for another £1.50 you could add dessert.Small portions, frozen chips--on the menu described as chunky, cake was OK, but rest I'd describe as edible. Wouldn't care McDonald's is next door.

Paid for a XL burger, came out cremated, my partners was exactly the same. My friend had the mixed grill which looked really nice just let down with mine

The maliwoo cocktail is yummy. Hot, tasty hunters chicken for me and a nice crispy chicken fillet for hubby. Not that many fries so glad we ordered a side. Used a 2 for 1 voucher so good value for money. Good atmosphere and had activities going on as it was children in need.

We took our little boy for his first pub lunch yesterday - and we were delighted. The food was delicious (2 burgers for a tenner, bargain!), the service prompt despite being reasonably busy and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere too. Me and my family always go here the food is lovely the staff are always fantastic , but yesterday we got a woman that we have never been served by before,I ask for my food served a certain way a garlic pizza bread with mushrooms on one side she told me point blank NO they had no time to FAFF on ! It’s never been a problem before she was very rude ! So I got my children and walked out .. my partner then rang to make a complaint and she answered the phone , again very degrading she said don’t be silly come back and I will give you your pizza how you want it.. we refused , Ive never been spoke to so rudely in a place to eat and never walked out of anywhere. I wouldn’t care as much but it’s not like she was making the food! So ended up in Pizza Hut.. I will return again .. however I will refuse to be served by that woman...

all of the extensive menu is good and the serving people are very good and treat you like friends. i have sampled most of the menu and it is great

We had a family meal with my husband and 8 year old son. The food was freshly prepared and it was lovely. I would definitely eat here again

ordered clucker plucker chicken £10.99 was more like a starter with 11 chips and didnt come with bbq dip like stated was barley enough for a child.

Food was average, chips pale looking and scabby. Steak was cooked lovely. Kids had refillable drinks so bonus. We ordered sides and sauces and the pots were a complete joke, for the price.

We eat regularly here and find it great value for money. Thursday steak night is exceptional as too are the staff.

Went today for dinner for the first time with my boyfriend because I've lived really close to the resturant but because im extremely picky I'm skeptical of menus, the staff were friendly and approachable, the food was amazing and the menu was HUGE (only bad note was the garlic bread I got was a little soggy but it can't always be helped)
