A good spot to stop and have a coffee and cake if you're in Lincoln. The Drill is an events venue hosting comedians, bands and even a Christmas pantomime. The Limelight is a handy cafe spot open to the public. A nice range of food and cakes with plenty of choice to cater for all. Breakfast to dinner, you'll find just the thing. Our baguettes were delicious, very enjoyable indeed. Recommended.

We were looking for a quick bite whilst we waited for the train & Drill didn't disappoint. The interior is cool (aircon) & traditional, with modern bench seats & tables. Outside seating is a huge metal bench seat with small tables & chairs, these are in a shaded off the main Rd court yard. We decided on two breakfast baps with OJ, egg & hash browns then mushrooms & hash brown. They arrived in minutes, fresh, hot & very tasty. Hash browns fluffy & crispy not saturated in oil. Egg was perfectly cooked. Mrs S loved the mushrooms too. Staf were extremely friendly & helpful, the cost was very reasonable & all in all a great place to eat. We'd definitely go back for food again.

Staying in a nearby hotel, I came across this community hub on line and planned lunch but due to unforeseen circumstances arrived after the lunch period and made do with some excellent coffee and cake. The project fascinates, and there was a very good atmosphere with regular visitors enjoying chat. The connected stage and events also offer some interesting options in the future and a return in the early spring is planned when we will both visit the City.

For evening performances there is a good selection of alcoholic drinks which are suitable for vegans such as draught Guinness, Thatchers Gold Cider and a range of Batemans bottled ales. During the day there are some very tasty menu options which are free from animal products. The coffee is good, the staff are friendly and the building itself has an interesting history.

We enjoyed an Americano and an espresso in comfortable seats in this bright and airy cafe. Vegan options include; Mexican beanburger, hummus & roasted vegetables panini and toasties, breakfast bap with sweet potato and squash sausage and toasted teacake with dairy free spread. Friendly staff on duty and it was good to have a browse at all the upcoming shows, performances and events.

choice of food is a bit limited but the cheese on toast is filling and tasty Jacket potatoes have a generous portion of fillings but beware of the salad if you have food alergies as it comes ready dressed..Coffee very pleasent. Small play area with toys for children. Choice of wooden tables and chairs or soft seating and coffee tables.Relaxing atmosphere in keeping with its former use. Good to see the war plaques are retained

A very pleasant location to enjoy a coffee and a snack. Some good cakes are available! At weekends there is often live music. A great way to support a local theatre!! Pick up a What's On brochure while you're there!

Popped in here as looking for a sandwich for lunch and remembered there was a cafe here, my hubby and me both had the pea and ham soup with a tuna sandwich and cheese with chutney , we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will certainly return .

The Drill Hall cafe area is great to relax in, have a coffee, a chat, or, on some occasions, listen to music or other events. What a facility in the centre of town ..........available just about every day of the year .

Came here for a children's club that is on Mondays, had a cup of tea and a coffee. Mugs were dirty, spoons were dirty, sugar tongs were so encrusted with old tea and coffee that they obviously hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Bits of rubbish all over the floor. Won't be coming back, and I don't consider myself to have very high standards for cafes! Also food looks very expensive for what it is.

Grabbed some drinks and snacks when there was some live music on at the Drill Hall... the prices are a bit high for the stuff you get and there were very few options :S

The Drill Hall Cafe Bar is a fantastic little cafe. Good range of food. I loved the coffee ice cream today. There is a little corner with children's toys which is always welcome so the grown ups can have a cup of tea in piece. I've always found the staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely with a visit even if you aren't going to a show. I didn't realise until today that the Drill Hall is run by a charity.

Great staff, lovely food and prices within acceptable range. Downside was the very small car park at the side where even disabled were charged £4.50! Other car parking is available nearby.

Can't speak for Event evenings, but during the day this is the place to take friends. It's quiet enough to chat, beautifully clean and serves sensible sized portions from a snack menu. Great for children too.

I've visited the Cafe Bar a few times now, and always find the atmosphere both welcoming and relaxing. I feel that I would feel quite comfortable if I wanted to call in on my own. They do cater for vegetarians, and the food is unfussy and fresh. I had a cheese and onion marmalade sandwich and was very pleased with the fresh leaf salad and balsamic dressing that came with it. The other plus for me is that it's never over busy like some of the other places nearby.

A nice place to go for a relaxing coffee, especially if they have music playing during the lunchtime hours. Didn't have any food, as I arrived after the menu had finished, so they were preparing for the evening events in The Drill Hall itself. Definately will return.
