Overpriced. We booked in for 5.30 prior to going to the theatre. We wanted the pre- theatre menu but were advised that this option wasn't served beyond 5pm. On being ushered to our table we were told we would have to leave by 7.30, we had 2 courses - as soon as one of us had finished eating, the plate was removed leaving the other still eating. This happened halfway through each course. My starter appeared to be cold pink mashed potato- no sign of the prawns it was meant to contain. The cheapest bottle of ordinary plonk cost £38. 15% service charge added to bill. About £50 per head not including drink. Many of the dishes were half Japanese and perhaps half Peruvian. An expensive and disappointing experience.

Delicious food, friendly place and great service. BUT BEWARE check your bill. 13.5% Service Charge will already have been added to your bills Total. When paying, They leave the card machine at your table on the ‘select which percentage Service Charge you would like to leave’ screen. There is a ‘no thanks’ tab at the bottom you can select but NAUGHTY NAUGHTY - if you’re a bit tipsy, are distracted and not checked your bill thoroughly, or are an unsuspecting tourist, they are trying to trick you in to paying 2 lots of tips!!I Questioned them about it and the waitress was decent enough to look embarrassed but fumbled as she had no plausible explanation.

What an amazing find. Surely the best ceviche I had ever had! In fact everything was tasty and beautifully presented. The pisco mojito was also superb. Brilliant service. Reasonable prices. Can’t wait to return.

Absolutely amazing! I had the 1/2 chicken and it was absolutely delicious! Only bones were left😁. As dessert, chocolate cake with dulce de leche😋😋😋😋. Strongly resisted to have a 2nd portion. In summary, heavenly food!

Their new menu is making a high impact because of the great variety, I had the "Pollo a la brasa" " spit roast Chicken" plus sauce... an absolute must when visiting the restaurant !!

Como peruana soy bastante exigente con la comida de mi país. Nosotros pedimos pollo a la brasa, estuvo bueno y lo disfrutamos mucho. También probamos el lomo saltado que estaba sabroso pero lejos del sabor original. El local y el servicio bastante bien.

We arrived at 7 pm and were done in one hour. At least it didn't prolong the experience. The cocktail was watery and not cold enough. The ceviche had lots of standalone flavours which were clearly not meant to make a marriage. Corn ribs were quite good. The squid was overcooked. I had been looking forward to dessert, but couldn't bring myself to take the calories for more below average food. I wanted the service to be good at least, but even that was pretty lukewarm.

We always enjoy a good ceviche and they did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised with a small slice of chocolate cake topped with a decadent Dulce de leche. The staff must have noticed me opening my birthday present and card. Top service. Thumbs up for the personal touch!

Lima Cantina never fails and it now has a new appearance and menu. Tuna Tiradito and the shrimp Causa were really good; the new charcoal grilled chicken is unique; the rib eye perfectly cooked with its corn cake both were outstanding. And the three types of chocolate dessert is to die for! Outstanding service as well.

The drinks were good, food was very average. Nothing special. Ceviche under seasoned, and chunks cut too big. Chicken was nice. Desserts were terrible.

The new set up of Lima Canteen deserves all the success and trade that it will undoubtedly gain and drawn in. Our long late lunch yesterday was a joy from beginning to end, that whole team there being the ultimate professionals and excellent at their jobs in whatever role they find themselves, i.e. in the kitchen, as waiting staff or behind the bar. A big thumbs up for the excellent Pisco Sours we started with and our choice to have digestivo cocktails rather than a dessert proved perfect. Try the Don Negroni, you won´t regret it, one to savour with delight, and my husband love his Pisco Old fashioned. The food is excellent too of course: top ingredients prepared with care and skill, the highlight for me being the artichokes, the tuna tiradito, succulent tuna in the stimulatingly fresh "tiger´s milk, and the seafood frittura, the marinade it had been in before the rapid deep-frying being so good I was sucking the last bits of fresh from the small bones of the generously sized seabream (perfect for 2 to share), the carob butter and the wok beef tacos. New interior looks and feels so chic and modern - perfect spot for date night or fun night with the girls. Pisco sours are YUM. Try the new chicken on the menu - super juicy - and comes with the most delicious sauce and potatoes. Highly recommend! Go check it out!!

What a pleasant experience and surprise! The continuation of the outstanding already traditional Lima flavors and colors, with an enhanced menu and a renewed site , with the first and only charcoal type of Peruvian oven for the chicken , which is simply amazing; with roasted potatoes and several sauces , it’s worth trying. Strongly recommend the tuna tiradito, the charcoal roasted lettuce with coconut and curry sauce topped with burratta is unique. The pork ribs , the chaufa rice and the desserts are new and outstanding, specially the three types of chocolate cake. Have to return soon to keep trying the rest of the menu. Congratulations to the Team behind this great renovation ,full of colors , as they improved an already outstanding offering!

Incredible food and cocktails and a lovely atmosphere

Greeted by the staff who were very friendly. Food was underwhelming. Ceviche was OK but the pork was overcooked (which for £22 for a few slices isn’t really ok…) and the rice undercooked and also left a oily fatty taste in your mouth. For the most part tables were spaced however half way through our meal a large table was placed uncomfortably close to me-so close that the lady behind me kept elbow jabbing me, and As our chairs were jammed together I had to jump/ slide out of the side to leave as I could not move my chair back at all… which for a £179 bill between 2… and amidst contagious pandemic… is not really ok and didn’t show appropriate covid safe measures. As a whole I still had a good night, staff were lovely and attentive, pisco sours were good. Food (which was the main reason for coming..) was a big let down and overpriced for the standard so I wouldn’t recommend

My phone was stolen from my table while sitting outside on the terrace. A beggar came into the closed area of the terrace and cleverly took my phone while she distracted us by touching our food!! Staff was nowhere to be seen and when we mentioned what happened they didn’t seem to care and admitted this happens “all the time”!!! There was no discount or compensation offered, they just gave us the bill and let us go to the police station. I never felt so vulnerable and hurt in my life. A restaurant that I used to love for its ceviche but they upset me so much by being careless and greedy that I will never return. Please avoid this place as they clearly don’t care about the well-being of their customers. Food was okay and service was below average (they served us the food too fast we didn’t have time to finish and the small table was suddenly full of plates). Not recommended!!

(We wanted a vegetarian lunch, not the set brunch). <br /><br />Great location for informal outdoor dining. <br /><br />Intermittent music was a bit loud. Service attentive and friendly.<br /><br />Bill included a fixed 12.5% service charge, then a space for a &#039;gratuity&#039; too, which the waiter seemed to be angling for, suggesting a higher payment amount than shown on the bill. Cheeky, what&#039;s that about? What is a service charge if not an obligatory tip? I do hope you&#039;re passing that service charge on in full to staff - in addition to their wages.

Good food, tasty and well presented but poor service (too many tables for the n. of waiters, thus don’t blame them!) One of waiters did not know the details of my main dish (prawn) and took away my beer when there was still some left. The main dinning are of restaurant is too noisy.
