Horrible! Food was awful, ambiance was bad, drinks were poorly made.

Food wasn't wow, it was rather average for the price you pay.

We had the Valentine’s sharing set menu. Lovely selection of dishes, not rushed between courses and attentive service. We love the food at Lima Cantina as well as the fantastic cocktails. We be back again

The food was very cold, it seems that they already had it ready in the refrigerator, they did not take the time to put it in room mode, very simple for the price, not much Peruvian flavor. I was embarrassed with my guests

Absolutely fantastic place, this was my second visit and I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend the octopus and dulche de leche, incredibly delicious! The service was amazing and the stuff were very welcoming as well!

I love this restaurant and am a repeat visitor. This time was for my boyfriend's birthday and we had the tasting menu which gave 4 starters, a main and a side. We loved all the food as well as our wine selection (a Peruvian Sauvignon blanc). The service was exceptionally good, perhaps because they knew it was a special occasion. And they brought a small, delicious piece of cake with a candle and sang "Happy Birthday". I couldn't have been any happier.

Somos una familia de 4. Tuvimos una hora para comer antes del show. Lima Cantina lo clavó. Entramos y salimos en una hora o un poco menos. Tomamos cócteles, una amplia variedad de entrantes y postre. Fue nuestra comida favorita del viaje. El maíz, los tacos, el bao y las empanadas fueron excelentes y fue el mejor ceviche que he probado. Dividen y combinan los pedidos para que sea más fácil compartir también. Las bebidas y el postre eran excelentes. Tuvimos contacto con al menos 4 miembros del personal que trabajaron juntos sin problemas para nuestro beneficio. El mejor servicio que tuvimos en el Reino Unido este viaje. Además, nadie pidió una revisión para un cambio. Muy recomendable, pero la gente preocupada se dará cuenta de la joya que es este lugar.

Good value for the quality served. Having lived 10 yrs in Lima with a Peruvian wife and 2 children. It’s impossible to fully recreate the experience but Lima Cantina is as close as you might get.

We ordered the pollo a la brasa and was really good, rich in flavour. Just as in Lima! Lomo saltado and causa were also amazing!

We had a great waitress and were seen to our table immediately. Lighting was beautifully pitched and very ambient. Buzzy in there on a Tuesday evening. We had ballet tickets so had to be out in just over an hour which wasn't a problem for them at all. Food was fabulous though possibly a little expensive. Would definitely go back though.

The ceviche and causa were very tasty, the lomo saltado was disappointing and expensive. Service was good and there was a nice ambience.

Food and ambience really good. They looked after us well. Nice chilled vibe and no rushing to get us off our table. Which is so common these days. Manger really helpful when we fancied a post meal drink. And found space for us at the bar. Will definitely be back! Menu should have something for everyone x

Buzzy restaurant. Nice staff. Food And wine greatly overpriced. The food was good by but by no means special. £18 for a small tuna ceviche was way too sweet.

Overall the food could have had more punch. More flavour, more coriander, more everything. Excellent service. Not sure I liked the basement bar vibe for dinner.

As it was noisy inside, we asked to sit outside. The girl said “they are short of staff, they do not serve outside”. We sat inside and ate. When we left, 1 hour later, we saw 5 tables of people sitting and eating outside!!!! Poor attitude. Food very average

Outstanding food and service in a beautiful site in a quiet street in Covent Garden. Very welcoming staff , with friendly and professional service; the food is terrific! We had the tuna tiradito ( my favorite) with a delicious and creamy tiger’s milk , sweet potato and avocado; the best ceviche in London -oh so fresh - and a roasted aubergine which my wife loved.Then the roasted chicken, perfectly cooked over charcoal ( the peruvian way we were told) with a basket of roasted potatoes and an assortment of sauces! Surely the best roast chicken I’ve had in a long time! We also tried the lomo saltado , perfectly cooked bites of beef tenderloin in a delicious soy sauce. For dessert the chocolate and dulce de leche is unique, and picarones(?) with a wonderful syrup and homemade lime ice cream… This great peruvian restaurant offers fantastic food and drinks ( gotta try their pisco sours) in a relaxed and unpretentious ambiance at reasonable prices . Will definitely revisit soon.

An attractive restaurant with a nice ambience, and a short but distinctive Peruvian menu. Decent food and service, well situated in Floral Street- not too expensive either. Worth a visit.

Best food I had in London in months. Slow to come, but quality and taste were absolutely amazing, I will definitely come back, and I've already recommended it.

Lovely environment. Great that the time limits on tables are generous given there were five of us having a catch up. We never felt rushed as service was friendly and very helpful. Of the starters the ceviche was standout. The beef tacos needed a touch of salt and a squeeze of lime but were still tender. The aubergine at £17 was a massive price for half an aubergine with miso. Pork ribs tender and the beef tartare a bit disappointing. Mostly because of the base but it needed more oomph. Mainwise the octopus was delicious and tender, the roast chicken was flavoursome but overpriced and the beef rib eye was beautifully cooked. Flavour from the charring was incredible and it was perfect. The cocktails were very good.

The food was very good (delicious ceviche and rotisserie chicken were the highlights). However we were disappointed for the service, which was very transactional. On a couple of occasions we asked for a recommendation (e.g. "which of the light bites would you recommend") and were met with a fairly uninterested response, along the lines of "depends what you fancy". There was no attempt to explain any of the dishes, check in on how the food / experience was during the meal etc - all quite disappointing for a relatively expensive meal.

The restaurant adjusted the quantity of food to suit the number of people.

Considering Lima is a Peruvian restaurant I would expect the ceviche to be far more delicious than it was. I would also expect them to make better disco sours - it was far too sweet!

The restaurant was pretty empty. The staff were very attentive. Some of the food was absolutely delicious (corn ribs, beef taco), some less so (quinoa salad). The pisco sours were wonderful. The meal was way too expensive.

as a Peruvian, I know we can be a little bit picky with the food but honestly the pollo a la brasa was really good. if I ever go back to London, I will definitely go back to Lima Cantina just for the chicken.

We were catching up with friends over a meal and Lima Cantina made the whole experience really enjoyable. Service excellent without being intrusive. Menu explained with out being patronising. Food complex but simple and delicious. Admittedly Lima has been a favourite for some years - so we could be bias.

Early evening dinner for two. Arrived when restaurant was empty except one another couple and were sat next to them. Limited non alcoholic drinks options was very disappointing. Food tasty but service wasn’t great, they didn’t seem to listen and so had to repeat order and then tried to clear whilst we were still eating. Didn’t appreciate the 12.5% tip being added.

Baked beef empanadas is the winner. The pork ribs is slightly on dry side. Loved the cocktails. Staff is friendly.

Portion sizes very small. Presentation partly made up for it - and plates were nice. Hair found in the donut dessert batter. Water not topped up at any point; left thirsty. Spent £60 pp having only one beer and left hungry. 😢

Warm and inviting restaurant with bright and flavoursome food.

The food was very good. As a Peruvian I would call the food Peruvian Inspired but not Peruvian as some dishes are not Peruvian at all or they are distant variations. Still, the quality and presentation of the food is great. The pisco sours are amazing! Service was good until around 10.15pm when we started feeling like they wanted to kick us out as soon as possible. Value is about right for what you would expect in Central London. Overall 4 out of 5 experience.

Popped in before a show, and had a fantastic meal and couple of drinks

Been here for many years (as Lima Floral and now Lima Cantina) but shrinkflation taking a hold. Lomo Saltado with just 5 tiny pieces of fillet for £29 but lots of vegetables and potatoes to make it look larger. Ceviche with much less fish. Also need to buy bottles water as was told that their tap water is unfiltered and taste is not great. They seem to push the bread on you (bread in a Peruvian?!) to fill you up. And, one of my pet hates, pushing the service charge up to 13.5%. Sorry, it’s been a great ride, but for one posco sour, food that left you hungry and at £60 a head, saying “adios” to Cantina.

Our waitresses were outstanding and the guys at the bar prepared us great cocktails!(They make an incredible pisco sour).We were celebrating our anniversary and even though we didn't order a dessert because we were stuffed the team prepared us a beautiful dessert to wish us happy anniversary! Delicious food and drink and very welcoming service. We had dinner here before a performance at the Noel Coward Theatre. We can't understand why the restaurant was not packed. Perhaps you haven't discovered the deliciousness of Peruvian food? Come have a Pisco Sour and the La Brasa Pollo, the perfectly seasoned potatoes, the sweet corn cake! And save room for the Picarones (donuts) for dessert and the smooth Peruvian coffee. Great meal.

Our experience at Lima Cantina was excellent. Both the food & service was fantastic. I highly recommend. Only confusing thing was the bill, which had service charge already added, yet the restaurant asks you to add service charge again when you pay the bill.

The staff was the highlight. Very attentive, very knowledgeable. I think the restaurant should do everything possible to keep this team. Amazing. Food and drinks were also really good. A rare find in the west end.

Really enjoyed this food, very tasty and enjoyed the flavours. The service was good and they kept checking in on you to make sure everything was okay. I guess my only thing, was the tables were too close and tight to each other, so not quite private.

A lovely find and just what my mam and I were looking for. She had the pollo alla brasa and we both commented on how juicy the tender chicken was, and I had the beef filet lomo saltado, which came in a rich sauce with tomato, onion and potatoes. The beef fillet was exceptionally cooked (I’m jealous how well) and I’m looking forward to researching both recipes so I can have a go at home. The staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing and took a genuine interest in our enjoyment. Definitely recommend,

Would go back and don't recommend it. My husband and I went to Lima Cantina to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our reservation was for 7:30pm and we were out by 8:20pm! That shows how quickly we were served which is great, but not so great when you feel you are being rushed all the time. I hadn't finished my last spoonful from my plate when they were already clearing our table. I felt this was very rude but didn't want to complaint. We were immediately presented with the dessert menu and we decided to leave without trying them, probably they would have arrived with a timer set for 3 minutes. Although the food was delicious, the ceviches were a very small, the pastel de choclo was excellent, the tacos were ok and the octopus lacked flavour (only one piece with lots of veggies around). The star of the night was the pisco but the wine not so good. So, for 2 tinny ceviches, 2 pastel de choclo, 2 small tacos, an octopus plate, 3 pisco sour and one glass of rubbish wine: £168.00. Complete rip off. Also, the service is included 12% and they still ask you if you would like to add more when you are paying with your card.

The Chef's recommendation was incredible and the staff were lovely to allow us to swap out a few dishes.

Great place for tapas and cocktails. The bar tender made some excellent cocktails just right for us. Food was great with very decent veggie options which are often hard to find with this cuisine. Staff were great and attentive. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back! We will also be telling our friends about this great find! Thank you!

Celebrated a birthday there. Booking was easy and restaurant decor amazing. Food was excellent, hot and quick. Staff knowledge was amazing. Ceviche was probably best we have had in a long time. Pork ribs were to die for. Lomo Saltado was lovely too and the highlight was the pollo a la brasa. If you love Peruvian food and don’t want the high price of Lima Fitzrovia then try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Stumbled upon Lima a year ago on a visit to London and had been dreaming about their pisco sours ever since! I can say after a year that it held up to the recollection! Highly recommend!

Not traditional Peruvian food, without Peruvian taste and overpriced. Absolutely disappointing.

Great food - very interesting Peruvian fusion style. Staff are friendly and efficient. I am lactose intolerant and they were very helpful on advising me on my options. Only complaint is that it would be good to have a vegan/dairy free desert option other than sorbet.

A warm welcome, fast friendly service, good food.

I went to the place excited to eat ceviche and other Peruvian dishes. The waitress didn't know how to explain the dishes and what ingredients they had and told me that foreign people go there and they only eat and don't ask questions, however at the other table there was a family of Peruvians that when they asked her about the picarones she didn't know how to explain. I have experience of working as a hostess in hotels and restaurants and there are always clients who ask you, not all of them, but then it is a lack of professionalism on her part by not learning the menu. The waitress evaded any questions and told me it wasn't new. Since it has a Peruvian name, people who know about Peruvian food will always go there. Regarding the ceviche I give it 5/10 and regarding the rice with seafood 8/10, I usually visit Peruvian restaurants and this restaurant seemed like the price was high. Would go again ? Maybe just because it's in London but the staff doesn't know anything about Peruvian food.

The ceviche was incredible, my favourite thing of the whole meal. The mushroom stew was lacking in flavour but the chicken was enjoyable and well seasoned.

I am always excited to visit Peruvian places, which are authentic but most importantly I recognize a fresh Ceviche and a good Pisco Sour when I try it and this place did not disappoint me, I will definitely return.

We planned to go for some Asian food when we passed by Lima Cantina. It was just two of us and we ordered 8 entrees (tapas style) to try as many different things as possible. My absolute favorites were the "El Ceviche", "Tuna Tiradito", "Baked Beef Empanadas", "Caufa Rice" and the Broccoli. We also had the "Beef Tartar Causa", the "Pollo Tacos" and the "Pork Belly Bao". They were also good dishes. Staff was very helpful, as it was our first time trying Peruvian food. We had a bottle of the Panul Merlot to go with it, which was a good match with the spicy and sour flavours from the dishes. Anytime again, that was a great dining experience.

I recently visited Lima Cantina Restaurant and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was colorful and lively, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Nicolo and his team provided excellent hospitality, making us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Overall, Lima Cantina is a fantastic spot for delicious Peruvian food, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommenced!

We visited last week. Was mind blowing experience, authentic Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. The ceviche and the tartare were incredible, the octopus flavourful and tender. And the Pisco Sour…no words, just delicious.
