This is a great Indian deli. If you're in the neighborhood pop in for a cup of chai and snacks....you won't be disappointed. Also, there is also a great selection of groceries. Staff are great and extremely helpful.

I have been here 3 times, I really like the food. The service from one staff member is terrible. The first time I went in I thought she was rude, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, the second time they were even ruder and the third time I would say they were passive-aggressive. I won't be going back to the Chorlton branch.

My wife really enjoyed it here. But not providing tap water is pretty poor and also encourages use of plastic water bottles which clearly isn't good.

It's a very pleasant experience visiting this deli, as it's situated within one the best places in Manchester and spending time with fun and loving chitchat with your friends finds the best memories possible. With all these, being a Gujarati Indian I can assure you that this place has maintained the authentic taste of every dish available there. There are fritters and kachori that are must try!🫶🫶🫶

We ordered food for a diwali celebration at our office. All the food, snacks and sweets were great. The team helped us a lot in getting the logistics of such a big order sorted out. The majority of the items were vegan that greatly helped in catering to more staff.

Me and my friend stopped by to get some samosas, we initially wanted 2 but the assistant tempted us to get 4, very glad he did, the snacks were fragrant, delicious, filling and the shop also has some great home foods, great hot drinks, amazing prices and lovable staff, Lily’s is a must, will 100% be back next time I’m in Chorlton, for delicious authentic Indian food that puts a smile on your face served by lovely staff give them a go!

Absolutely lovely Indian street food deli take away or dine in place. I heard of this place before and thought would try out as passing by the area. I havent tried alot but according to what I've tasted it was amazing and fresh. Had the punjabi samosa which is huge in size and very tasty. Also got the lily's box of mithai fresh sweets and again was very different an tasty. Would highly reccomend as they sell not just bakery items but you can dine in an enjoy a hot drink too plus they sell alot of Indian essential groceries.

On this 10 October visit there shop I order samosa chat I think it's india taste but samosa chat was just covered with sweet yogurt and mumbra and I can't find samosa in it it's too sweet and I can't eat and I also buy sweet thank God just 6 picece but honestly both things are worst And next day I got food poisoning honestly they really disappointed me as a Indians we think they serve Indian stuff but they make fool on name of vegetarian. Funny things in gajar halwa is less suger .

We love this place, and use the takeaway "heat and eat" counter regularly. With young kids, it's great to be able to get this amazing food, and heat it when they fall asleep rather than faffing with a takeaway order! There's also a great selection of samosas/tikis etc. I need to try the eat in option soon.

One of my favourite places to eat (as a vegan). Food’s absolutely banging, staff are so kind and friendly. I would recommend you come in and try the savouries (gujarati samosas, tikkis, pakoras, atom bombs) and then give it a go with the sweets (vegan jalebi, lots of different types of burfi and much more). They have a grab & go deal for £8.99 which is curry of the day (various options to choose from), two masala chapatis and steamed rice. Such an amazing place. And this is just the fresh food counter, there is so much more packed food items to buy. Go here, and leave a tip!

Awesome spot. Great selection of dry store food, ground and whole spices, homemade snacks and sweets. Friendly staff all round, always pop in for a quick snack if I'm going past.

This is a fantastic shop for all sorts of India foodstuffs. Hot food from Lily's restaurant is also served here. Exceptional quality for a very reasonable price. You'll also find beautiful sweets! The shop also has a small collection of Hindu religious paraphernalia, including murtis and puja items. The folks here are lovely. Highly recommended.

Visited on Thursday 4th July. Food was hit and miss. Certain things like masala chips and dahi vadha was nice, might have come back for it. However the customer service was bad by the elderly lady, was rushed and felt like we were a burden. Can't complain about the guy, his service was fine.

Lovely items they sell, ordered the Dahl from the lunch menu, and I was really disappointed with how bland it was.

Food and service was great, their Tikki's are a MUST try. Rishi our server was a G as well 🐐

I recently had a party at home and decided to ask our favourite deli to do the catering for 50 and arrange for it to be delivered about 10 miles away. Everyone was really impressed with the buffet and it came prepared and ready warm up in the oven in foil trays. I would definitely do this again and most people took food home as there was so much

I have give a rating of 2 for service as Maria was very helpful and was not tending to my needs as a customer. Another customer came behind and she was very happy to serve them giving the a responsive answers but we were told we need to hurry up as she needs to go on her lunch. Overall, I get sweets from Lily’s very often for events and occasions and I would highly recommend it.

They are authentic Indian sweet shop in Manchester. I am a regular visitor to their chorltom branch and love their sweets and samosas. Must try, if you are Manchester.

I work nearby occasionally and this is my favourite place to come for food. I always get the same and it seems to get better every time I order it. I have also tried some of the sweet collection and have never been let down Staff are super friendly. Even brought my boyfriend on a weekend to have lunch together.

Good selection of fresh, tasty snacks and sweets, but given a low score from me, for refusing to accept payment in the form of perfectly legal tender (cash) and insisting on digital payment only. I won't come back to this shop in future, because it is helping to usher in the New World Order's Digital Money cashless society.

Lily's food is amazing as always. Customer service at this shop, in particular is hit and miss. Unless Declan is serving, he is consistently polite and amazing, service with a smile.

Very rude lady on counter. How would we know which box will have the amount we need. Poor customer service. Because of Diwali it was busy and people on counter were giving all attitude. Very bad.

I've got to say.. not every Lily's is good - the one in Ancoats is average and can be hit and miss however the chef in the Chorlton Branch is THE real deal. I just had a fresh paneer curry and has to be one of the best ones I've ever had.

Good food, rude staff. Consider the one in Ancotes instead, or the same from Unicorn Deli.

Authentic gujarati snacks shop. Very popular among Indian community. Their dry snacks range and dry fruit sweets are heavenly good. Prices are reasonable. Also very nice pakoras and handvo available.

I have been to Lily’s deli quite a few times and every time I go in I get a selection from the front of the shop, and every time all of it is so tasty, fragrant, and delicious!!!! The staff in there are so kind and helpful too.

My friend and I were excited to experience the great hospitality that I know from the Ashton branch. We ordered chaai latte which was so so sweet we struggled to drink this. My friend had to buy another tea to mask the sweet taste. Mentioned to young girl who totally ignored us.I ordered sev puri that was so dry which we mentioned and ignored. Not once did anyone came to ask us if we wanted anything. The shop was not busy. One of the women behind the reception even shouted at my friend to not move the chair as sun was on her face?No blinds? So disappointed with the Lily's Chorlton, far from the Ashton hospitality that I know.Please fix this - a request to management.

terrible experience at the deli. The staff were very rushed and not very friendly. I felt like I was being rushed to make a purchase and didn't get the chance to ask any questions. Even missed out my dhokla order totally what I had asked for it to be packed and when at the billing counter I had left my packed items while I can pay for it and a lady comes in rudely tells me to move it as I was blocking her way absolutely no patience or please said.

Can't believe a business in todays day & age Only has card payment only. Its their loss as I had cash only and was going to buy few delicious looking items. Looks like they dont trust staff to manage cash

Excellent fresh deli produce and a wealth of dried foods and snacks. The curries I've had from Lily's were very good indeed and the staff have always been very pleasant. A great place to visit for vegan and vegetarian options too.

Walked past this place while going to unicorn and couldn’t resist popping in on the way back. I was with my 3 year old and 9 year old. We ordered a few things to eat and I asked the lovely man at the counter if we can sit in and he said yes. There are 4 tables along the window with 2 seats each. I had to take a chair from the next table. We were the only people eating in. We had almost finished when the elderly lady in the shop spotted me sat on the third seat and rudely told me that we are not supposed to move chairs from other tables and that I’m blocking the way now where I’m sat. I’d bought my husband some treats and the food was actually delicious. We were literally talking about coming back with my husband but her attitude was enough for me never to come back again, and not recommend either.

Its a heaven for vegeterian in Manchester, UK. You can get all types of packaged food, snacks, namkeen, fresh sweets, freshly prepared food/meal options and yes samsoa and kachori.. A must visit for vegeterians, dine in options limited.

Just had a curry at Lily''s for the second time in four days. It was again outstanding, but maybe cards could be placed somewhere giving the name of the dish and/or main ingredients? The guy who served me was a little impatient when I needed to have the description repeated back to me - my hearing isn't always 100%. Outstanding meal though. Thanks.

Lovely authentic Indian food, to eat in or take away

Initially thought that the vada pav wasn't up to much as it was clearly microwaved BUT it tasted really good! Despite some shop bought chilli sauce there was also a really nice chilli chutney on it and tonnes of flavour, just the right level of heat. Nice dokla and Masala chai too.

The samosas made an amazing party spread extra memorable. You've GOT to try them.

Been wanting to try here for while heard great things. Went for lunch today loved the shop area plenty of interesting products. I opted for the curry lunch special £5.99, I had the paneer tikka and rice. The food went off to the kitchen at which point we didn't know what was going on. Then about ten minutes later it arrived with us. The curry was good but nothing amazing it was lacking something for me. Overall good experience maybe I need to try other things there. Friend had the Dahl curry and said it was nice nothing special. I'd have to say chapati cafe is slightly better and the fact you can get three different curries and rice for not much more money.

The deli counter snacks here are top drawer and very fairly priced. Been in for an assortment of bhajis and samosas a few times and they're the tastiest and best value in the area.

Excellent staff and food was very nice with the bonus that you could eat in.

I've been to Lily's a couple times, and just oh my god it's incredible. One of the best food spots in Manchester. The range and selection is amazing, the quality is amazing and the taste is amazing. I really need to try more of the hot food as I always just get too distracted by the bits out of display 🤤 The staff are always helpful with suggestions and picking out vegan bits for me, and the actual store/grocery side has a good selection. I'd eat here every day if I could.

The best samosas in all the land! When we went they had a slight mishap with the fryer but the man who served us was so lovely, helpful AND very generous with his daal! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Just popped in as we were nearby and needed to kill time but so glad we did. Amazing, warm customer service, smells delightful as soon as you walk in and the food is just delicious. So many vegan options too. It’s made us realise how we need to get to Lily’s restaraunt and have a full meal!

Stopped and had a couple of samosa and the lunch curry deal. The place is very smart, the snacks are good as was the curry rice+1.

Horrible service, I go in and ask about the curry of the day and ask if I can dine in, a young girl says yes, great... I make my order, pay over 25£, fiddle with the NHS track and trace and after that another employee, an older lady says that I can't eat the curry inside because it's cold and I need to heat it up at home, i wasn't in the mood to argue with them, grabbed my stuff and left, me and my wife had the Dhal and Mushroom Curry, the Dhal was OK, the mushroom curry was bland and had quite undercooked mushrooms, I wouldn't ever recommend this place and I will definitely not step another foot inside, ever. Edit: in regards to the response from the owner. "Unfortunately our grab and go curry deal is not suitable for eating in and this was explained before payment was made" There was no miscommunication other than the one between the staff, I wouldn't have bothered with the curry if I knew, and was told after I have made the payment not before, if you wish I can tell you the exact date and time that I ordered so you can check the cameras. And I had drinks and savoury orders aside from the currys, which were cold as well, at least be honest that the staff made the mistake instead of being PC in your reply, thank you

Great place to feast on some authentic Gujrati and Indian snacks. The dhokla, hara bhara kebab, ras malai and bundi laddoo are a winner. Its a shame they dont stock the punjabi samosa which is only available further up in Unicorn

Visited for the first time. Shop looked interesting but was let down by the unfriendly staff.

We've had samosa (we prefer the Gujarati ones), several currys and their pies and they are all excellent. We've eaten at their restaurant in Ashton several times and the food is just as good here. All the currys come with a packet of breads, which are an excellent accompaniment to them. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly.

Today we visited 'Lilys Deli' and bought sweets, these sweets are not fresh and very dry --no taste.

brilliant prices and delicious inclusive food! ive never had indian sweets before and the almond flavoured one (forgive me for forgetting the name) was amazing! the savoury dishes were amazing too, the pea flavoured one and potato + onion were simply a delight!

I have tasted the punjabi samosa at Ashton and came this branch for buying punjabi samosa and onion bajji. But both not available here and they sold to near unicorn super market. If I go that super market and see the price it is 40p higher and no chutney. Very disappointed. You should sell for us in your shop and we can get chutney. I came back without buying from unicorn shop and buy other sweets in this Lily shop. We can't go everytime to Ashton shop for this issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the response from you. Again my question is I don't offence you have contract with Unicorn and selling punjabi samosas there. You should also sell punjabi samosa and onion bajji in your shop. Because in shop only providing mint chutney. If the user/customer buying sweets and savouries in Lily shop and also like to buy punjabi samosa then you are pushing to the customer to buy these items in Unicorn shop. Why don't the customer is wait in the queue and enter that shop to buy and without chutneys (also bit expense in that shop). If you are taking my review or not I don't care. Great range of vegan, gluten free delicacies which were all batched together so easy to pick out. The young man serving was a breath of fresh air! Polite happy knowledgable. Would definitely return. Go try.

I love going to Lily's. I haven't come close to trying everything there is on offer but I regularly get my sweets from there and they are tasty. Customer service is also great, very friendly and helpful.
