JC Oriental Cuisine in Manchester

Ordered food at 7.30pm for a delivery 10 mins away. Delivery due at 8.30pm. Called at 9pm to find out where the order was and told it was out for delivery. Called at 9.30pm to find out where order was told it had just gone out 2 minutes prior. When the food did arrive it was not of a quality I would ever want to try again. The fried rice was a starchy, clumpy mess. The sweet and sour had a watery consistency and lacked any flavour as did the lemon chicken. The noodles were fine, but it would be difficult to mess them up. The grilled dumplings were cold and tasteless. The prawn crackers were stale. The curry sauce had two random mushrooms in it and again was watery and completely tasteless. It was probably the second worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had, the first being dumplings that were frozen in the middle, so would take some beating. You could not pay me to eat from there again. Bizarre how they have such good reviews.

This place is shocking. I eat in all different places in chorlton. And places I have been have great standards. Tried jc tonight and waited 2 hrs from making order. The food come and was not even mediocre. SHOCKING and I'm not critic but wow 😳I only went there because I was on beech Rd and thought with its location it must be good. Well I was very wrong. I should of stuck with water lily restaurant.

Ordered on uber. Currently 2 hours later still waiting for my order. Called at 9:30pm to get an update and was told the order is on the way. I live less than 5 minutes away it’s now 10:05pm. Absolutely terrible service! The place is now closed. **update** called again at 10:10pm and was told they will start to make order now. I placed the order at 8:20pm. Told them to cancel the order. Evening ruined. Worst services I’ve ever received in my entire life. I wish nothing but the worst for this place.

The best Chinese I've had in Manchester, really reasonable prices, fast collection times. Food tasted fresh and was really good, they take card but you do get a little discount if you pay cash

JC Oriental never disappoints! Their Special Fried Rice with Curry Sauce is my go-to dish every time. Delicious flavors and top-notch service. Definitely a 5-star experience!

First time trying out JC Oriental only had a starter salt n pepper squid, it was beautifully cooked, fresh, light, tasty, no excessive oil, perfect. Only 4* because I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes, so far so excellent

Just ok. Not the best tasting Malaysian. Not enough sauce and only just over half full. Could have been more food

The food in this establishment is second to none. Just had the most amazing Fillet steak with green pepper and black bean sauce. This takeaway will surpass a lot of restaurants and the recommendation is fully deserved. You must try.

Leagues ahead of any other Chinese in South Manchester. If you’re under the impression that Chinese food is just luminous gloop then this place will change your mind. Fresh, crunchy veg, high quality meat and well balanced sauces. We do not order from anywhere else.

The food is good but they are not doing well with the Covid 19 situation. We couldn't get through by phone, ordered in person, were told it would be an hour, which is fine, but when we came came it was another 30 minutes. Just not worth it I'm afraid.

Ordered chicken satay. Got home sauce had nuts in it no mention of the nuts on main menu just on the back. Very poor.

Been here a couple of times and couldn't fault it. High quality food, really friendly and happy staff. The Malaysian style renda chicken and starter combo and particular favourites.

Half the food was edible. Looked bad and my noodles fell out of the container like canned pet food. Tasted ok. Wouldnt go again.

I have eaten Chinese food for years this is the best takeaway in Manchester. Yes that good 10 out of 10 This is restaurant food at takeaway prices.

Plus: Salt and pepper ribs. Unreal. Everything we ordered was lovely. Watched them cook my food. Really friendly, didn't so much as tut when I changed my mind for the 10th time. Minus: Didn't order more ribs. My fault. Beech road has needed a Chinese restaurant this good for years 😀
