First visit here and the last.Good spacious outside seating area.Looked nice inside.Food situation...I ordered lentil soup which was ok but lukewarm.Main course was Meat Mousaka.Now either the waitress got it wrong, which I doubt as the order was made clear,or the chef got it wrong.Coz NO MEAT.only aubergines and onions.My feeling is I asked for Meat Mousaka and was conned and fobbed off with a sort of veg mousaka.It was served in a bowl as on a plate it would have simply collapsed.Cost cutting maybe? I had two spoonfuls and left the rest,also left the salad which actually looked OK and didn't touch the bread.It was my sort of little demonstration as to what is going on far too much in the hospitality industry in the UK these days.Higher prices and cutting corners.I decided not to complain unless the waitress asked why I left it all.She didn't utter a word when picking up my full plates.'Service charge' added on the bill.No self service option so who is supposed to bring your food? There is a cafe opposite owned by the same people which I went to a few times and would recommend for its good service and nice cakes.

100% this place has gone backwards. Terrible service. So let me explain, ordered our food and waitress who is useless got our side order wrong. We ordered 2 x chips but instead rice came along, to the credit of one the waiter / manager delivering the food to our table, he apologised but to our horror the waitress was trying to show us the writing on the order sheet to suggest it was rice we ordered. We don’t ever order rice and she repeated the order back to us with 2 x chips. Anyway all was sorted however her attitude after was terrible, from bringing the bill to not showing what was on the screen on the pin pad it was clear she was angry, but hey that’s her problem. We asked for the left over food to be taken away and there was at least 2 x chicken which was missing. Likya you have let us down and you have lost 2 customers who used to come as often as possible from a far distance but your lack of thank you and errors have given us no other option but to look else where. Terrible

What's sad is that we've had several good occasions in the past with this restaurant. In the past it was filled with people and the food was fresh. Now it's mostly empty and the prices have gone up. the Staff are deeply unfriendly, it was pretty clear they didn't really want us there. There was no place to put the pram, and we were told we could 'not come in here.... (pause) with that'. We had to ask where to put it only to be told to leave it at the front. we sat for twenty minutes before anyone came by. We were told we'd need to order four entrees for a group of 3 adults and two small children. It was awful in every way.

We ordered 2 mixed donner kebab roll which was disgusting. It was filled with salad and tiny, old, stinky and dried chicken and lamb fat as if it was for a week ago. We took only 1 or 2 bites and binned it. I will not suggest you to buy it for your pet as well.

The food here is absolutely amazing amd in big portions and it’s always busy and buzzing .There were 6 of us and we were going to order lots of mains and 5 starters to share .The waiter insisted we all had to order a main .So we did do that but ordered 2 staters instead of 5.They would have made more money from us if they had not insisted each person had to have a main .

Generous portions. Plenty to eat. Great kebabs, plentiful salads and tasty pita bread. But noisy because it’s so busy. Go early for some quiet.

Regarding: The Likya lunch & sweets coffee shop across the street (sisterly branch of the big restaurant). Excellent place! I love coming here for lunch during work hours. Good portions and reasonable prices. Always warm fresh bread with your food. Excellent gozleme. I am a big fan of the soups and lunch choices. Great for vegetarians as well. Do try the Turkish breakfast - lots of interesting dips to try. Be careful as it’s big, come hungry or with a friend/partner. The ladies working there are always cheerful and happy!

Came here with a friend to celebrate passing an exam. To sum it up - staff are very attentive, we were given free pita with delicious dips on arrival, gorgeous lamb and chicken. Great salad, and a lovely touch was being given some free baklava at the end of the meal. So impressed and wished I lived nearby to visit again!

This was the first time we had tried this restaurant but had tried the coffee shop opposite. A lovely buzzy place to eat. Was packed out. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was extensive as was the wines. The food was lovely and was hige portions. Luckily we didn’t have a starter!

Never seen a restaurant with such lazy, useless staff. They couldn't be arsed to serve us, spent most of the time hanging out inside, in lunch, gossiping and playing in their phones. Outside we couldn't get any service. Every time we needed something we had to go in and get them. They really didn't want to work. We spent £57, but they couldn't even be bothered to bring water. Lazy, useless, good for nothing staff. It was a mistake to pay the service charge, but we just wanted to leave.

10/10 for this excellent Turkish restaurant. Food was very good- and portions great size (plenty of meat, salad, and bread). As soon as we walked in, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff. A special thank you to the brilliant service we had from our waiter 'Huseyin.' Nothing was too much trouble, he was extremely helpful and very patient with us. We would definitely recommend this place!

I visited because the restaurant looked so popular, but was a bit disappointed by the slow service (which got quicker to be fair) and average food. My starter was good but the mixed chicken (great) and lamb (tough and dry) kebabs not so. The huge salad (mostly carrot!) was all that came with the dish - some rice would have been nice. The compulsory service charge is annoying - as always a star knocked off for that.

I bene tikka in golders green tonight to celebrate my birthday but in my plaei was nathing then bring me 1plaei for a kids was nathing instead. A group of us from Manchester High School got together after 30 odd years of not seeing each other and I would not change the experience we had at LIKYA OCAKBASI restaurant for anything. I have to make mention of the business owner Hasan. I’m sure he’d rather not be mentioned 😊but he was such a gracious host and saw to it that our every need was catered to. It was breathtaking to see the manager fully invested in the service aspect of the business, clearing tables and giving great service. The food was so delicious and our freshly extracted carrot juice was so good. The atmosphere was filled with love and laughter even shared by those that weren’t a part of our group. At the end of the reunion I popped across to the LIKYA BAKERY for a delicious slice of red velvet cake to take home and it was sooooooo yummy. Exceptional experience had by all. Thank you so much Hasan.

Ordered the lamb and chicken kebab 15.95 . Got one of each skewer doesn’t come with chips or rice just salad which was a mound of grated carrot covered and camouflaged with other more expensive vegetable like red cabbage etc… to look better than it was. So literally a 10cm skewer of chicken and 10cm skewer of lamb with a load of grated carrot was 15.95 and no chips or rice. We ordered a bottle of house red and for 4 people with small cup of black tea at the end came to over £100. Totally not worth it. This place used to be better value but will never go again and I’m sure other people will be put off after visiting. Very poor and disappointing, actually very mean indeed.

We were a party of 5 who mostly ordered the same,mixed chicken and lamb grill with salad and rice.Really tasty pieces of meat and a fantastically fresh salad but the ratio was a bit off.A few extra pieces of meat and a little bit less salad would’ve been perfect.The rice was ok once it was mixed in with the meat dish and some sauce was added.The bread with sauce at the beginning was delicious as was the prosecco.

Food was good. Not hot but as if it was waiting in a corner for at least 20minutes, but good. Oh yes, they took a very long time to serve it the order.

Utterly appalled - owner sat at the back of the restaurant whilst we weren’t offered a drink nor did they come to take our order. He then watched as we left the restaurant, clearly business is good but won’t be getting any of mine again.

I have visited the restaurant many times in the past and their food has been good. On this occasion I had family- friends visiting from Switzerland and decided to take them to Likya on the way back from a day spent in central - we got seated had some time to look at the menu once the waiter arrived to our table I was about to start ordering when he rudely put his hand forward and stopped me and told me to wait so he can check if the kitchen is still open. I understand it was busy and by the end of the day tiredness kicks in but that should be considered by the managing staff because people go out not for food but the whole experience. He came back in a rush and told us this is the last order - we preceded with Placing the order and as many dishes had finished needed a few seconds to choose an alternative - he hurried us - and had an annoyed expression on his face - which resulted In me just saying that’s all. A family came in after us and their order was taken calmly by another waiter. The service of providing plates - and glasses was unwelcoming. I could go on but Overall felt embarrassed for taking international guests to such a bad place :/ super disappointed in the service.

El camarero era joven y muy guapo de Alabina y yo pido un plato de cordero, mi hija pidió alitas de pollo que le encantan ya que hemos estado en el restaurante muchas veces durante 5 años ya que vivimos a 5 minutos de distancia. . ,Era un plan del gobierno con un 50% de descuento, así que pensamos que vendríamos y apoyaríamos. Pedí una botella de vino en lugar de una copa, ya que eso no estaba incluido en el trato. . . de buena voluntad quería apoyar. .Cuando llegó la comida, tenían cubos de pollo para mi hija, no alitas, dijo que eso no es lo que pedí. No lo comeré. Le supliqué que se negó, el camarero se negó a enviarlo de regreso a la cocina. .Después de hablar con el gerente, ella dijo que tenía que pagarlo, no era su culpa, así que para mantener la paz pedí que me lo quitaran y pedí otras alas. .Mientras comíamos, la comida para llevar fue llevada a una mesa llena de comida y un transeúnte pasó y dejó caer la comida para llevar en la acera. . Tried lamb doner today for £12 and was disappointed with their quality of meat. It had too much fat and other nasty bits and bobs in it. It came with salad but no rice. Utterly appalled;(

La ensalada era abundante y todos los ingredientes frescos.Sin duda merece la pena una visita, pero una advertencia, reservada para evitar decepciones.

Went today with a friend, and we ordered lamb Donner, early at arround 12.30pm. The donner that they had put up was new, but they served us low quality stale meat from yesterday that had been fried up by them again.

After eating one of their wraps I found a piece of bone, it nearly took one of my teeth out. AVOID. AT ALL COSTS.

My friend in our group suggested to me we were moved because we were not frum enough and were on sight of line of the street. Well we are United and we will let our friends know at the kiddish after Shul next Shabbat.

I went with my wife to restaurant. Without booking- not possible. Evening of 14th of February only by booking . We choose selection of lamb and chicken and we have been amazed - again with the taste and the place. I can not imagine lamb dishes without this restaurant. Strongly recommended.Better than restaurants in Turkey.Unfortunately - better.

I arrived at 1900 hours and it was packed and had to wait 20 minutes, which I did not mind as the aroma was heady. The service was excellent, the food was truely, mouth-watering. My desert was equally memorable. By the time I left people were queueing to get in!!! Great value, Great taste!

I’ve been coming to Likya Golders Green for years. I used to be able to leave there unable to finish walkathons was on my plate. I used to be able to come in with my wife and order mixed grill where I would change the grilled lamb for some Adana (as I have problems chewing thick meat). Today, I attended Likya. I ordered chicken kofta. The option now is rice or salad whereas before you would get both. I’ve attached a picture of the portions on my plate. It’s a poor show. No longer value for money. Likya has obviously got too big for its boots and no longer cares about its customers!!

We are in London for just few days, but we had to come here, since a Turkish friend told us to come. It’s a bit out from the center, but these guys are masters at cooking grilled meat!! We enjoyed every single bite!!

Este es un lugar turco tradicional pero tiene capacidad para unos 150. Es genial. ¿Por qué? En primer lugar, el cliente tiene que caminar por la entrada principal y pasar toda la comida que se exhibe en el refrigerador, para que pueda ver toda la variedad de alimentos listos para cocinar. Cuando pasas frente a los chefs en la gran parrilla de carbón que cocina, me encanta poder ver a los cocineros en el trabajo. Luego, una vez sentado, te dieron algunos bocadillos de cortesía. Cuando recibes tu pedido, está lleno de ensalada fresca realmente agradable. Y los sabores de la comida son simplemente deliciosos. Visito este lugar muy a menudo.

We had never tried Turkish before and were needing somewhere to eat quite late on a Thursday night.

Me and my friend were coming from Airport after long trip we had decided to stop in this restaurant Likya as we have been visiting this Restaurant occasionally and particularly this time before even our flight back to Uk we had decided to not eat anything on our way to just have something delicious in there but when we arrived to Restaurant all our expectations have fallen apart while i wanted to order mixed hot meze platter plus lahmacun and some desert afterwards but we have been told nothing we could have ordered except of Grill it that would mean more than half of the Menu was unavailable due to their chef issue that was shocking to force us to order just grill kebabs i could well accepting if we have been told when we entered the restaurant but not after 15 mnts waiting to take someone attention to be able order in empty Restaurant in afternoon without even being apologetic or saying sorry for that in very rude serving attitude and manner we were told by Staff . Seems they dont care as their staff customer relation below zero that was quite appalling service that i ve experienced maybe one recently woow it was quite shocking as i always recommended this place to my friends people that asked me nice Turkish cousin food but definitely will NEVER EVER Again after this reckless and not customer caring service !!! It was a Total disgrace !!!!

Fui allí y el restaurante estaba vacío y nos sentaron junto a otras 2 personas. Pedimos sentarnos en otro lugar pero dijeron que no. El pollo estaba duro, frío y seco. Se notaba que la comida estaba allí un rato. el personal grosero dijo que si no quieres sentarte aquí, vete.

Went to this Turkish restaurant on a nice hot day. Ordered a lamb beyti as I normally love lamb beyti.

After seeing reviews about Likya, it seemed like they serve amazing food there and I thought we should go and try. As a Turk living in UK I got very excited about this place. But unfortunately it was total disappointment. I ordered Iskender Kebab (which made of Lamb Doner Kebap) wasn’t good at all, it was hard to chew and loads of grease mixed up with it. I have never had a DONER in my life before that hard to chew; that was a first! We order prawn sarma (borek) as well; just wanted to try. If you about to order this, just letting you know it comes out nothing like you would think it would be like. There was no whole (even half) prawn or shrimp in it nor prawn taste at all; it was literally mixed of some stuff but we couldn’t figure out what! We also ordered some salad “Coban Salatasi”; which is easiest Turkish salad to make and if you make it with fresh ingredients it would taste simply amazing. But this wasn’t good at all either. Tomatoes and cucumber was tasteless, I think it should be a necessity if you running a Turkish restaurant, you could do your shopping from Turkish markets maybe, so you can at least try and create similar tastes to original dishes? Also few pieces of cucumber I found in salad was just looked like left overs; as it was totally soaked in oil; it shows that salad was either not freshly made or mixed with salad from earlier. We also ordered Rice (Pilav) which that I can’t complain as every household in Turkey would have different style of making it; but yet that was even so dry in my opinion. I had to add toilets were disaster; both ladies room was totally dirty and one was almost blocked.

Visitamos este restaurante en una fría tarde de fin de semana. Somos vegetarianos y el aroma no vegetariano de la entrada no fue particularmente acogedor, pero probablemente solo seamos nosotros. De lo contrario, el lugar tiene un aura acogedora y tuvimos una persona muy alegre que nos atendió. Nos gustaron todos los platos de verduras que pedimos: Hummus, Tabule, Cacik, Falafel, aunque nada fuera del mundo bueno. La verdura moussaka era muy rico. Las cantidades no fueron grandes, pero tampoco menos. Estuvimos allí un tiempo y no nos sentimos demasiado apurados o ignorados. Fue una tarde bien gastada por el ambiente del lugar, pero no volveremos a visitar.

I’ve been coming on and off for the last 5/6 years and have see changes on menu decor but I’m always pleased that the food and prices have stayed the same. Some time the attitude of the staff could be looked into but we are now part of the furniture and are not going anywhere.

Various Arabic tastes. Good food. Good prices. Excellent combinations. A place where you can have fun.

Pedimos kebab de cordero con ensalada. De entrante te ponen pan con salsa de yogur y otra salsa picante. Dos personas con un plato cada uno y una copa de vino cada uno (el más barato de la carta, tempranillo blanco de España), 28 libras. Buen precio para ser Londres y que los platos eran abundantes y bien elaborados. El personal además fue muy amable.

I visit Likya almost every week, however my last visit was horrible, we went to Likya when it was empty (day time) and I took in my 11 month old baby girl with buggy, when suddenly the owner started Screaming that IT IS HIS SHOP and HE DOES NOT LET ANY BUGGY IN. :( it was really bad experience for me and I almost wanted to leave and saw that my Wife was also very upset. I could understand if the shop was busy! but it was empty. And is this how you treat your costumers Likya boss ?

Good food , good service however in this day and age surely restaurant of that size should accept cards. It’s ridiculous that’s they accept cash only like a small cafe !! Very disappointed

It’s so hard to see all these 1 star reviews as I love the place and know all the senior staff. The wood is tasty, generous and well priced. Try it for you self and I’m sure you will be back.

Wir waren schon häufig in diesem Restaurant. Jedesmal sehr zufrieden, die Döner sind sehr lecker und auch die anderen Speisen sind empfehlenswert. Man sitzt auch sehr gemütlich und kann sich gut bei der Wahl beraten lassen.

Fantastic food at very good prices. Vegetarian friendly. I come here at least 6 times a year and every time the welcome and the service is fantastic.

Wir gehen dort schon seit sieben Jahren essen, wenn wir in London sind . Wir sind begeistert von dem Service und der konstant guten Qualität. Größe der Portionen und Preise sind absolut in Ordnung. Auch die zusätzliche Vorspeise vom Haus mit sehr scharfer roter Sauce und milder Joghurtsauce sowie frisch gebackenem Brot ist immer wieder köstlich. Die Wartezeiten sind gering und man kann vorm Haus parken. Auch der Weg zu Fuß bon der U-Bahn Station Golders Green dauert nur fünf Minuten.

We wanted to eat warm starters to begin with. They said starters (£8) per person was not sufficient order. I asked for a main course (sis chicken and lamb £10.90) they said that that specific dish was out of stock. The waiter recommended a similar one at £12. I was fairly hungry so I assumed it would be a larger portion. I received meat that barely covered a third of the plate and mostly was salad. They brought the complimentary bread with the spicy dish but not the yogurt dish that all Turkish restaurants offer as courtesy. When we asked for it they said it was "out of stock". Please bear in mind that the restaurant was busy with customers and more were coming in. It was around 9pm yesterday, I will never set my foot in there.

The restaurant wouldn't let my daughter (20) wait for us to arrive in the main restaurant. They did let various middle-aged guys wait in the restaurant for their friends. When I challenged them the manager said that they didn't let her in in case she was waiting for half-an-hour. Oddly, the older fellows weren't suspected of wasting their time.

My 19 year old daughter arrived at the restaurant before us, as we were stuck in traffic. When we arrived, we expected her to be sitting at a table with the menus, and a drink. The manager had refused to allow her to sit in the restaurant - which only had two customers sitting in it at this stage - and made her sit on the bench next to the grill, where people normally wait for a takeaway. When we asked him why he didn't allow her to sit inside and had embarrassed her in this way, the reply was that people often at at a table for hours waiting for friends and clogged up the tables. Possibly understandable at peak time with a full restaurant, not so at 6.00pm on a dull Wednesday with an empty restaurant.

He comido comida turca en casi todos los restaurantes turcos del norte de Londres y he comido toneladas de comida turca en Turquía y este lugar es insuperable. ¡Mi novio es muy quisquilloso y podría encontrar faltas en cualquier cosa y le encantó! Ristorante turco in cui andiamo sempre a Londra: piatti buoni e abbondanti, servizio veloce nonostante sia sempre pieno, puoi mangiare all'ora che vuoi, conto onesto. Hummus e falafel squisiti! Super consigliato!

Always come back to this restaurant, at many different occasions or just when feel hungry. Always the same high quality and great taste of whatever you choose from menu. Great selection of grilled meats. Highly recommended!

I have not been back to Likya for several months, but decided to go there for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

A broad menu with doners and kebabs. The veggies are not to be missed. Very laid back place that can be noisy when full but...who cares when presented with excellent Turkish food, a good brew, and helpful staff.

I attended the restaurant for the first time for a friends birthday. Not being from London it was not a place I was familiar with. In any event I am so glad we came the food was delicious. We had a mixed kebab platter which had a selection of lamb,chicken shish, kofta, chops, wings along with rice, cous cous and salad. Everything was lovely perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere was very nice too lively but not too loud. Excellent experience would defiantly come back again.

I don’t eat meat but as the menu had a good choice of fish, I thought it would be ok. Our friends had chicken fudges which were all tasty. Our mixed fish kebab was not good. While the salmon was perfectly cooked, the halibut was over cooked, dry and inedible. When the waitress took our dirty plates she asked if the meal had been ok. We quietly told her that it had not been ok and told her about the fish.

Fantastic food as always!! Chris was our waiter for the evening and he is nice as always, very friendly and makes sure you get what you want, the lamb sis and chicken wings are amazing like always! Will visit again very soon~

Highly recommended this restaurant, great food and great service, has to be one of the best Turkish restaurant in north London.

Well worth a visit. We visited at lunchtime in the week when it was very popular so I would imagine that it is very busy in the evenings or at the weekend, Food was authentic and good value for money. Only criticism is that we asked for two mezes that were not on the menu and the waitress told us they were not available but they then appeared as part of the complimentary items placed on every table. It would help if the waiters if not Turkish understood a little more about the food they serve

This is our go to place at Golders Green when we would like to eat something tasty but quick. We love the pita bread with the dips that is served as a starter free of charge. The doners and kebabs are really amazing, they serve very good quality meat and huge portions. We’ve never left the restaurant disapppointed or hungry.

Had zin in vlees, ook alleen leuk restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel en erg lekker vlees met goede salade en brood ook huiswijn is goed. Aanrader!

I visited from Switzerland and went to Likya with my friends who live nearby. We absolutely love this restaurant. We ordered shish lamb kebab and lamb ali-naziak. Turkish tea and baklava to die for. Will go back next time when I'm here.

We happened to stumble upon this place after a long walk in Hampstead, and we couldn't have been luckier.

After our "bus safari" to Kenwood House from Notting Hill, we were hungry and so happy to have researched options near the bus station for lunch. Likya was a wonderful find. Their bread is fresh, warm and the perfect partner for the hummus with lamb cubes which was delish!!! The grilled cheese was great and we loved our entrees of lamb knuckle and eggplant and lamb kabob. The vegetables (both hot and cold) that came with our respective entrees were so good! We had a bottle of Turkish wine that was very well priced. We left feeling so well fed and our meal was excellent value! This must be a neighborhood favorite, but if you are venturing up to Kenwood House, this is a great option for you!

Went with a few friends recently for dinner. As always the place was jam packed! Have been there a few times in the past, so know quite a few of the very friendly waiters.

Likya Restaurant is my local Turkish restaurant which serves all kind of kebabs as well as delicious mezes and vegetable dishes . It is always very busy and sometimes you have to wait a little. But owners Yagmur and Hasan make sure you have a table and looked after well. Neat us very tasty and tender. Salads are fresh , desert is a must snd Turkish tea served endlesly and on the house . Strongly recommend it
