Fabulous community space. Kids play area, amazing cafe at great prices compared to the other local establishments and a really good charity shop. A must visit place in Sheringham and you will be supporting a great community organisation.

We popped in to get out of the rain and to no surprise the cafe was really busy, they have a great choice of ales and some beautiful cakes and amazing views. The service was quick and with a smile we look forward to going back in better weather.

Great place! Staff who work in the cafe are all really polite and friendly, even helpful. The kids lunch box meal is fab👍. Then there's the soft play area which is fantastic for little one's. This place is a credit to sheringham. I highly recomend this place even if its for a coffe/tea.

As a modern, newly built church, this is a good space and offers other amenities apart from worship. There is a coffee bar and they also serve food, a play area for children, and activities upstairs, such as table tennis. The main room is available for hire and a great space. There is a car park in front of the building and this can prove a bit of a challenge, in that the bays are angled and not clearly defined. When it rains heavily, the area closest to the road floods and effectively prevents anyone from parking in several bays, and unless you are a ditch diver it cuts off the access at the pavement, children love it though, it is huge! There are 2 disabled parking bays in the at the top near the doors and these are on a paved area, not gravel like the rest. In the main hall area the heating is under foot and ventilation is via some incredibly noisy mechanics in the ceiling/roof, which open and close via sensors, so they either drop cold air on you, chilling and surprising, or they drown out whoever is speaking with the noise of them opening! Needless to say, it's a great community area and as such offers a lot of people exactly what they need.

We've visited this cafe on previous years when we've been holidaying in the area and were disapointed this year to find that there's been no improvements overall. The service is desperately slow given the orders placed were for nothing complicated and well within the capabilities of a competent cook. There was very little communication from the staff. I would expect someone to come and enquire if everything was to our liking, or if we would like more to drink etc. We ordered a toasted sandwich each, which came with a small side salad. The toasties were fine, although the salad accompaniments didn't contain the same quantities of ingredients and rather bizarrely had a helping of plain crisps as a secondry garnish?! We would have liked there to be something on the tables to "advertise" the church and/or the Christian aspect of the set-up and maybe the use of Church type, rather than secular music playing in the background would be a good step forward. We are always happy to support church projects, as The Lighthouse Cafe obviously is, but we do hope that there will be significant steps forward over the next 12 months before we visit again.

If you run a place like this I don't suppose you need to worry too much about the service and repeat business. We arrived at 10.10, queued to place our order 10.20 ,order delivered 10.30 ( incorrect order ) went back to counter 10.35 to collect the promised replacement , left 10.45 . 35 minutes for two coffees and a bun ! They could quadruple the takings by training the staff and reorganising the work flow.

A very warm welcome, and enjoyed the free tea/ coffee set up before the service on Sunday. Several people made a point of chatting to us, and the welcome pack included a chocolate bar, what’s not to like? Inspiring service, with a good take-away message about dealing with grief. Easy access to the spotless toilets. Soft play area looks good. Not open every day though.

Lighthouse Cafe is a light, airy and spacious meeting place. You could be forgiven for thinking that this is just a modern cafe with a soft play area. Look a little closer and you will see that this is a great shop window for the Lighthouse Cafe at Lighthouse Community Church. Not that it matters as everyone is welcome whether you have any kind of faith or none at all. What makes Lighthouse Cafe is the warmth of welcome and attention to small details. Harassed parents will welcome the safe, soft play area which is visible from the cafe. If baby food needs heating nothing is too much trouble for Maggie and her able team of volunteers. The cafe is in immaculate condition with food hygiene excellent (5 stars). Holiday makers and day trippers will be able to receive advice about the area and WiFi is available. It has an incredible atmosphere and you will come away feeling refreshed and believing there is a local community who care about the individual and families too.

We popped in here for coffee and decided to try lunch as we hadn't eaten here before and it looked good, I had crab sandwiches and my partner had belly pork ,we had coffee to drink. Although the restaraunt was busy we were served drinks promptly and the server was polite and smiley . The food arrived at about the right time and was a pleasure to look at and to eat ,I am a chef and I am a bit fussy ,this was fresh ,hot and beautifully presented so compliments to all staff they have this just right ,and it will be recommended to friends and family and anyone else I speak to.

When I first visited Lighthouse cafe it was with a friend for the obligatory catch up over coffee and I have been back a number of times since! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and unlike many cafes you don't feel at all rushed as you enjoy your drink. I was so impressed with the look of the food that the next time I came for lunch and was not disappointed! One of my favourite things about the cafe is that it is extremely ethical in all that it does with a large selection of fair trade products on top of all the tea and coffee. While I always enjoy going here for a chat it is the best cafe in Sheringham to take a young family to as there is also a FREE soft play area, alas I am too big to be able to give a first hand account but judging from the laughter it is well enjoyed by the younger patrons.

We popped in by accident - having walked from Overstrand to Cromer the kids were desperate to sit down and the walk into town (despite only being another 5 mins) might have taken them over the edge. We were surprised to see vegan options on the menu. My husband and I both had soup and the kids had a platter with focaccia, really tasty hummous and salad/carrot sticks. We went back a second day and had carrot cake which was a bit on the dry side but ok.

This is a stunning modern building, crisp clean contemporary decor, yet really inviting. Not really what you would expect in a small seaside town, and far away from normal pre-conceptions of a church cafe, for that is effectively what it is. There is plenty of parking space, and the cafe is only 5 minutes from the town centre and 10 minutes from the beach. There is always a warm friendly welcome from the efficient staff, and a good selection of snacks and light lunches, at very competitive prices. The coffee, supplied by Kingdom Coffee is excellent. Even the normal filter coffee is great - they tell me they use a Honduras bean, but the speciality coffees really are superb. This place is a real asset to Sheringham.

What a lovely little Bistro, exactly what Fakenham needed, interesting, charming and housed in one of Fakenham’s lovely old buildings. Great menu, had a super evening meal on Saturday, liver and bacon to die for. It has a lovely French feel with the ambiance and menu. Cuisine Francais rustique! wonderful. Go there, highly recommended.

We are on the broads and on our walk I found this little Gem - unfortunately they didn’t allow dogs inside ( which isn’t an issue as he had already had a great day out in the pubs ) my favourite food is Thai so after seeing the inside we decided to phone up later and get an delivery once we got back to our boat. Later on we phoned but we changed our mind and decided to collect our food as we felt it been silly to get them to bring it to us as it was a five minute walk from were we was parked up. It was very much worth the wait, it was my favourite meal of our week. So bloody good the food and we order quite a few dishes, so satisfying on our stomachs. I cannot review this place enough - I eat Thai food at-least twice a week and this was exactly how it should be. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Very good prices too. Extremely clean place with an open kitchen. Thank you
