We stopped by for a take away on Tripadvisor reviews Lovely clean restaurant with fantastic safety measures in place. Very friendly staff. Fantastic prices. Now for the food. The chips were seriously good. The portions were seriously large. Will definitely visit again

I've eaten everywhere in Scarborough but never have I had a fish better than here . Its a big statement to make but its true. The fish is cooked to perfection in a lite batter. The pure white cod is out of this world. Its the taste its unlike any other so I've returned again and again. 10/10

Rusty Shears

30/09/2020: TripAdvisor for help as usual.Check out somewhere nice for breakfast. This place came out on top, so many excellent reviews. I'm adding mine to the many.Fabulous breakfast of scrambled eggs (fresh as), smoked bacon (smoked in local smoke house), mushrooms (nicest I've ever tasted) and grilled halloumi (yummy). Altogether delicious with my pot of English tea in pretty china. Good portion sizes. My husband had his favourite, eggs benedict. Cooked to perfection. He gave it 10 out of 10The social distancing measures in place were excellent. The staff were delightful. And service was spot on. It caters for special diets. Glutton free, vegan etc. I eat very low carb and got very excited to see so much on the menu that would suit me. The meat platter sounded delicious but we will just have to make a return visit! It has such a pretty courtyard. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough for us to sit out. Inside there are 3 rooms and it feels spacious. Nice atmosphere too.The cakes did look delicious. As did the selection of gins! Highly recommended.
26/07/2020: Four of us shared platters in the little courtyard area, we had great service from start to finish, and would highly recommend the Irish Cream hot chocolates after dinner!

The Lighthouse Tea Room

03/12/2020: From the moment you arrive to the second you leave, you’re made most welcome. The tearoom is superbly laid out with regards Covid regulations, with perspex partitions which are hardly noticeable. The menu is extremely extensive considering that they only have around six tables. They also have a specials board with more tasty sounding delights! We had the fresh crab sandwich, eggs royale, and bacon cranberry and brie toasted sandwich. All were so fresh, and generous portions.Places like this need supporting during these difficult times, so I would urge you to give them a try, because I know, you won’t be disappointed.
04/11/2020: We were in Filey for a final day out before Lockdown 2 and chose to eat here because it is veggie friendly - we booked in advance, partly because one of us is in a wheelchair and partly to ensure we met COVID rules - lucky we did because it was very busy and full (although they did try to fit people in if there was a free table). Food superb, good price and very fresh. Be prepared to wait whilst it is made - none of this "we have made a load of these already and they are out back......" - what you ask for is then made up for you. We will go again the next time we are in Filey - it really is very very good.
