We called here and I will admit I am a very fussy eater. However the food was delicious the only reason I didn’t do 5 star is the fish was quite greasy. However it really was delicious. The chips good and mushy peas excellent. The staff very polite. We will definitely return at some point.

Absolutely awful would not advise ! Batter on fish awful. Only good thing was cup tea ! The place needs a good clean ! Would advise people to go elsewhere ! It very misleading and they put to rip people off!

Called in with family as the MIL wanted some fish and chips. My husband and I shared some chips which were gluten free. Not sure what else was available for gluten free as we didn’t ask. MIL had a patie and chips and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Good size portions!

Went to withernsea for the first time in over 40 years not a lot here but chose this fish shop as wasn't too busy got large cod and chips and they were fantastic hardly no grease on them perfectly cooked fish nice golden batter fabulous...

The food here is brilliant... If you get takeaway If you sit in the service is SO SLOW, we waited for over 40 minutes for our food whilst watching tens of people get served in the takeaway.

Since changing owners the food is cold and smaller portions we had to put chops in microwave when we got home can honestly say we will not be going in again

we come to Aldborough many times a year and make a point of going to the Lifeboat. We rate it as the best for many miles around the East Coast.

Just spotted this place and had large cod, chips and mushy peas with Tartare sauce Light golden crispy batter, succulent flakey cod - as good as it gets! Friendly service from a pretty slim lady. Highly recommend A+

Stopped off here after swimming for fish and chips. We came here last year and they were just as nice. The place is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. They have a large area to sit in and eat or a take away section. The prices are reasonable and the sizes good. We would come back.

They offer excellent value for money, a good choice of deals or simply a bag of chips for £1.10 which was a good size and hot

Best fish shop ever, highly delighted with the service and food, highly recommend. Very large portions and cooked whilst you wait so that it stays hot for when you get back to the campsite, also a sitdown restruant.

This is my second review of this shop, the fish is cooked fresh but not left to dry so it was very greasy .

The fish was very good, but the serving area was badly run the staff looked scruffy for a food establishment, it just didn't look clean on areas you could see.

We used to love the fish from here and after being away for a while we were looking forward to a tasty lunch last Sunday. Unfortunately the fish were watery and slimy and even the curry sauce was so runny it was leaking out of the polystyrene pots into the carrier bag before we got to eat anything. Shame......but we will not be going back!

Went here for a meal for the family whilst staying nearby on a caravan site, all got fish and chips each. Was very disappointed, fish was very bland and plain with no taste to it. Chips was okay on a plus note, will not be returning again.
