Liberty Bell Coffee in Wirral

Although food was nice, it was not hot. Waitress asked us to enjoy but had to ask for cutlery. Coffees were nice. Just little attention to detail needed.

This cafe gets everything right. Food delicious and generous portions, atmosphere so cosy and welcoming - the Dutch and Danish would envy it! The music choices are excellent, the staff are all friendly and hospitable. We ate breakfast twice and lunch once over our weekend stay in Hamilton Square and were delighted by each visit. I highly recommend this gem of a cafe - all of this and wonderful views of Liverpool across the other side of the Mersey.

Ordered 2 coffees one came & my husband had finished his went to counter to see where mine was ? Waitress eventually ran in put on table very briskly sorry about that & disappeared £8.60 overcharged by 60p there error ! Poor experience won’t be back !

Expensive for what we got Ordered large breakfast £9 food was hot and tasty but only 1 slice of toast not toasted well cheap bread No vegan black pudding substitute was a cheap product Hash brown Coffee paid £3:99 just for a small cup and the coffee was cold and weak

Best Sunday roast I’ve found! Really good price for a high quality meal. Full credit to the chef for cooking fresh ingredients unlike many pubs offering roast dinners.

Our Wirral former carers group meet at Liberty Bell Coffee every month for tea/coffee and toast and some lively chat. The staff are so friendly and obliging and the toast coffee & tea are exceptional. It is very accessible destination for our group as it faces Hamilton Square Station and is in walking distance to Woodside Ferry. By far the best meeting place in Wirral.

We popped in and they were most accommodating as a coeliac. The staff let me know that people within the team had allergies so they were aware on making food safe for people. I had the grilled goats cheese with marmalade, it was delicious. They grilled the toast separate to avoid cross contamination. The gluten free brownie was in a separate area too. Definitely worth a visit and the prices were great value too.

Twins 21st Birthday We have been coming to Liberty Bell for a few years now . Our sons wanted to have a family breakfast so we booked for 8 of us . As always staff are pleasant & helpful . Breakfasts & drinks were great and all served together 😊. I’ve seen some negative reviews and don’t understand why, the staff are always really helpful and I am sure if you just told them what issues there are they would be rectified.

Went as a group of 16 here today. Our groups Christmas meal, had a few hiccups trying to organise it as they needed our selections 48hrs prior as it was a Christmas menu, not really anyone's fault but I have to say the food was amazing from the normal menu, We all ate together everyone was very Happy with what they ordered. Well done to the staff everyone of them were lovely. Made to feel very at home . I will be back with friends and family and our dog maybe !

bought 2 coffees Americano black 1 decaf and 1 regular both looked odd and tasted as bad similar experience a while back won't be going back

We went today and ordered food. We were disappointed with it the French fries were heavy seasoned with loads of salt and pepper? Why? I checked the menu thinking had I overlooked and were they suppose to be like this. No,for some reason they divided on putting it on whether you like it or not. It came with a side salad and yet again we were asked about salad dressing. The salad was swimming win a white dressing, again very unappealing and my husband left his. The sandwiches were ok but to be honest over priced. No available tap water either we had to request it and it was warm! Very disappointing for the price they are charging.

We were hugely disappointed with our latest visit to this venue. Historically we had always been for lunch and the food was OK other than one experience where the croque Madame was drowned in bechamel sauce. Today we went for breakfast which was a huge disappointment Eggs Benedict, poached eggs were hard and the Hollandsise was clearly processed bought in as it was stone cold. So really the two cardinal sins for this particular dish. Even worse was the avo on toast. Again poached eggs were even harder than the eggs Benedict and were really more like hard boiled eggs without the shell. The avocado itself was unpleasant and quite obviously not fresh and again bought in processed. Now you may say bought in ingredients are a necessity to avoid waste and be cost effective. However not acceptable when each dish is £8.50 and £9.50 The orange juice was also clearly cheap and not worth the premium charged. This is a sad turn of events as we were previously impressed with the quality so unfortunately this is likely to be our last visit to this venue

This little coffee/breakfast shop was right across the street from our Airbnb. I went everyday for coffee and my wife joined me a couple of days for breakfast. Service was very good. Food and coffee were outstanding. Highly recommend.

Lovely, bright and airy cafe in the centre of Birkenhead. Fabulous menu, the classics done with a nice twist. Really well cooked & excellent value for money

Been here 3 times as the food is really nice. Each time we have been there is a lack of concentration and always mistakes with our order. From no caramel syrup in the iced caramel latte to asking for something not to be on a sandwhich and it still coming with it on. I will come back however I hope this improves.

I found this cafe thanks to the station staff at Hamilton Square. It is lovely overlooking the River Mersey. The tea and coffee are nice. The cakes are excellent. A little on the expensive side, but worth it. I have not eating a main meal in here yet. I would definitely recommend it.

Beautifully cooked and presented full-English and eggs Florentine. Coffee and tea served in cheerful yellow mugs. Cosy and welcoming, even on the coldest, most blustery of days.

Great customer service. Went to place for a hot drink and something to eat after a freezing couple of hours taking photos from the banks of the river Mersey. Food and hot chocolate were excellent. As I was frozen, staff directed me to one of the seats by the radiator. They then checked it was on and turned it up to allow me to thaw out. Next time I am over that side of the river , I will be making a returning visit.

Great coffee, even better banter. And stonking tunes! I work around the corner and have to walk a mile into town to get a coffee, well no more. They (hands down) so the best oat milk latte I’ve tasted. The food menu is also another thing to be appreciated. Great choices with a modern twist. Don’t get me wrong though, this place is for everyone. If your train is delayed. Come here. If it’s not, still come here.
