Bottomless Brunch on 14th September 2024 I had the unfortunate experience of attending a bottomless brunch at Liberté on the 14th of September at 7:30 PM, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. To start, the staff were incredibly rude throughout the evening. When I tried to discuss the awful quality of the food with the manager, they actually avoided the conversation and walked away instead of addressing our concerns. It was unprofessional and extremely frustrating, especially since the food was truly terrible. We were served 4 bottles of Prosecco for 7 people, and it was clearly cheap, low-quality stuff. The food, however, was the real disappointment. The halloumi was off, and none of us could even eat it. The rest of the food was just as bad. This experience ruined what was supposed to be a birthday celebration for my friend, and we all left feeling completely let down. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal or even halfway decent service. Avoid at all costs!

This place is so conflicting, it's a premium price for the boozy brunch compared to other places, and the drinks were flowing and fairly quick to come to the table, with the blonde girl serving us being lovely...BUT, there was no menus to know what drinks there were. The food was pretty bad, the girl who brought it out couldn't tell us what anything was despite us saying there were allergies in the group and it was all so dry, no sauces and lots of dry chicken. The sax player part was only really for 30 mins and ultimately, for the money, you'd expect the fun to be longer, the food to be better quality and adhere to food safety laws regarding allergies etc, and there to at least be menus for the drinks. We tried to make the best of it but felt it was a waste of our money. We had more fun in concert square after!

After reading negative reviews was dreading going, I couldn't have been more wrong had a lovely day and was well looked after by all the staff

Went for a meal with friends for a birthday celebration staff were very rude and very intimidating will never be going to this place again never experienced any were quiet has bad need to change staff and the bully boy bouncers who think it's OK to bully woman

Staff were so rude! Staff gave us the cocktails and because we was in a large group and ordered different cocktails we just asked which cocktails were what and the young girl said I don't no you ordered them! Rude! Took ages to get served they were obviously short staffed and to many people was let in. Moito was basically like drinking pure lime juice. We left to go onto to our next place and as we was leaving we was chased out saying we owe money when we payed a £80 deposit then when things got looked into they released they owed us no apology. Customer service needs to be better. This was a hen party

Paid £100 deposit for 10 girls and booked - when we arrived no one mentioned the deposit and allowed the party to order and pay for other drinks and tried to charge me for drinks and only allowed it to come off of the deposit when I mentioned it. They will try to take your deposit off of you.

Went for family members birthday. Was 30 of us each paid £50 for bottomless brunch we were let in late to the venue. When we got to the table, it took 30 min for first of the cocktails to come and same for the beers to arrive, they took another 10-15 min. The food included was awful. We had also reserved the rooftop. Which in the sun was brilliant but the time it took at the bar was a waste of time and we kept getting ignored by bartenders. one of the girls in the group was at the bar for an hour and when we tried ordering we was told we’re busy but always served the next person to come. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We also reserved the seating up on the balcony and random people kept coming to sit on the chairs, the security told us to leave eventually which is bang out of order, as if you reserve a space you expect it to be free from other people. Quick to take your money but not give back good service back.

Staff just rude tbh. Was stood at the bar for over about an hour and the bar member in the picture with brown hair knew i was there and chose to serve every other customer who came after me. Literally had to go to a manager to asked to be served. Rude for literally no reason. DONT bother with the bottomless brunch because the staff take ages to serve you your drinks meaning it’s a complete waste of time of money for the time you get. Usually I’m not one to post pictures of people but it was by far just rude and disrespectful.

Loved the place food in meat which is part of the overall place, is fab the atmosphere was really good service was excellent staff friendly and helpful one of the places you need to go for an evening or day out .

Absolute delight coming here to celebrate my 30th!! Plenty on the brunch, dj & saxophone for all 9 of us. Definitely recommend, only thing I'd suggest is the servers should take drinks order for all, slight delay but we had such a good time. Highly recommend

We paid a deposit for bottomless brunch for a hen do. Liberte cancelled a month before the booking and are ignoring us when asking for our deposit returned. Looking at reviews we aren’t the only ones. Terrible customer service!

Do NOT book here. My friends booked here for my hen do but they refurbed so cancelled, my hen do was last month and still no deposit is returned to them. Keep ignoring calls and emails. Not a trustworthy business, save your money for a business who deserves it!!

My daughter and her friends paid £120 deposit 9th December, after having 2 drinks and having to leave before food came they were told by security at 19:00 that the rooftop had been evacuated due to high winds (which they previously called to check that it would be open`)and the manager then told them they would be contacted on the 11th for a full refund. Sfter many emails, calls all not returned this has not been refunded to the original card holder. Would avoid, unless you like to throw money away! Will attempt to get money back even if this is small claims court.

Horrible place...i don't recommend it... They just takes your money(we've paid for each person around £40 deposit), and you wil not see any food...it's a fake place, cheap theatre...stuff are a joke...and manager good actor...you will not see your money back or any answer from them...

Had a bit of a disappointing start to the brunch for new years, but the team, Jen and Alex made a big difference to the experience. They made sure our bottomless drinks were flowing constantly and even gave us some free shots, Prosecco and wine. The girls were really lovely and accommodating. After speaking with the manager, our visit to Liberte was really great.

We booked bottomless brunch for £80 on the 9th. We was told by security on the day at 19:00 that the rooftop had been evacuated and the manager then told us we would be contacted on the 11th over a refund. We have messaged via Instagram, mobile, website and email and tried to call on the mobile (unavailable ). it is now the 21st of December and we have yet to receive any communication. I have zero trust or confidence we will have any communication or get our money back. I will happily take this review down once our refund is received but I’d recommend everyone avoid going here until they refund me and correct their business approach.

Came on the 2nd December for my friend’s birthday. It’s not well organised at all. You stand in a queue on the stairs for a good 20 minutes waiting to go in… we go in have a glass of Prosecco but tastes like turps. So we paid an extra £10 for ‘unlimited’ cocktails. Which we ended having 3 in total. The power cuts off and we were told the entire street had gone. However going outside shows other buildings on the street had electricity. We got served stone cold food which was rock solid so didn’t have time to cook because the venue’s electricity was cut. Lights came back on and then it was time to leave. I got really sick after this meal. And two others members also got sick following the bad food and strange tasting drinks. We have emailed about a refund already but still awaiting a response, and will need to report the food poisoning to the relevant agencies. There’s so many amazing venues in Liverpool that do bottomless so take a look at those first!!

Sky bar area is great staff were helpful and winter shed area is very cosy ! Definitely going again next year!!

Lovely place but the vibe is club😝. good wine and food but portions are for someone sub 7 stone. If you want a striper vibe with harrods price please do book! Snarling staff make the experience interesting. Good luck and enjoy if you can.

We came to Liberte on Saturday to see the new winter village opening. Loved the drink’s & atmosphere here! Such a cute place to go after Christmas shopping or just for drinks! Had the best time. Also big Thankyou to Megan for making us feel so welcome & making sure we had everything we needed all night! Already planning our trip back here! Perfect place for a Christmas night with friends or family x

Visited the winter garden last night with some friends and it was absolutely amazing - they had heaters in the cabins too so it wasn’t cold like I was expecting it to be with it being on the rooftop. The staff were all so lovely too - they all had smiles on their faces and the service was brilliant. I would honestly recommend this to everyone and can’t wait to go back again in the future!!

The bottomless brunch was a great experience with liberté. The staff are incredibly friendly and fun and were brilliant at filling our Prosecco for us even with a large group of 8! They helped us celebrate our friends birthday in style and the music was great, the idea of having the food platter instead of individual meals worked out brilliantly.

All the staff members were absolutely delightful. Coming from a middle aged woman i really enjoyed my time there!😁 Brunch was fabulous and very well put together. The music choices were spectacular and i really felt i was down with the kids🥳 The platter was more than enough and full of a scrumptious selection of different foods! enough for all of my friends. I believe the manager was named Sam and he was just excellent in always making sure we were all okay and attended to. He also made sure there was never a dull moment. reccomend to anyone!

Do not book Liberte for a special occasion. I’m loathe to even give this place one star. Booking of 25 for a hen party with deposit paid and plenty of communication with the venue before hand. When we arrived they had no knowledge of our booking and had sat other people in the area we’d supposedly reserved. Told us our booking (which they knew nothing about!) was for 90 minutes only when it was simply a table in a club (not a bottomless brunch) and we’d preordered £250 worth of alcohol. How they expected us to drink that in 90 minutes is beyond me. The manager is unhinged. At one point he was screaming at us and I actually thought he might hit me. The staff were absolutely terrified of him. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with owners and would caution anyone thinking about booking a table here to think again.

Cancelled our booking due to the terrible reviews. We cancelled with plenty of notice and they still havent refunded us out £40 deposit, what is even the point of refundable deposit if you keep the money when plenty of notice was given to cancel. Disappointing as we would have probably come back and tried this place out at a later date, however now they've ignored all requests to refund us we definitely wont.

Booked from 7.15 till 9.15. Kitchen closed. Last orders at 8 even though advertised as open until 10.00 service rubbish. Complete joke. Avoid.

Just like any other trashy trying to be popular bar in Liverpool. Came here with a date and was asked for full payment despite the booking for bottomless being paid upfront for everyone (struggling to see how this became an issue then) food was mediocre think your ma’s bread chopping board with picky bits on. Staff were however attentive and quick to replenish an empty bottle. Overall would not recommend just have a night out in Mathew street probably nicer.

Made a booking for 17 people and paid a £10 deposit per person, on arrival the staff couldn't find our booking and said it hadn't come through from the social media person. Granted they did manage to find us a table though, but we were a bit crammed in. The food and drinks were good but the whole experience was let down by one member of staff who forced us to move tables several times, didn't have any tact with how she spoke to our group, in the end she said all tables were pre-booked so we had to stand by the bar, the place was pretty quiet all afternoon and there was loads of seating available, and we even stood by the bar for over half an hour and no one took any seats during this time so it seemed very unnecessary to force us to stand in the middle of the bar while the place was so empty. Poor organisation and we felt the member of staff was very rude.

Decent if you’re doing the bottomless brunch, and if the sun is out and you’re on the rooftop. 🌞 The food was terrible (chicken skewers were burnt and bland, and three tiny tempura prawns) so wouldn’t recommend here for eating. 🍔 On the flip side, the cocktails were top tier! 🍹 The place is ideal for Hen Parties / Girl Groups! 👧🏼

Terrible bank holiday weekend. Too many tickets were sold. Took weeks for of back and forward as the staff didn’t know what was going on. Booked 2 tables in the club room and no one knew anything about it. Terrible organisation and over crowded. Also the £7 a pint beer was not beer, tasted like dirty water mixed with cider and the cocktails were stupidly expensive.

Sexy sunny rooftop bar with great views in Liverpool. The staff were very attentive and made sure we didn't go thirsty. We didn't eat any food as we were just there for cocktails, but we accidentally used the men's loos at first (the sign wasn't very clear), but someone from the bar quickly showed us right... it did make for some interesting bathroom chat with a bloke who thought he'd wondered into the ladies.

booked for an anniversary, noted that on the booking too as we wanted a rooftop cocktail bar. as soon as we got there it was packed so queue for bar was long but we didn’t mind as it was bank holiday weekend. when got to the front of the queue after half an hour they told us that they’re not doing cocktails anymore because some girls got too drunk ? not sure how this had anything to do with us who had just arrived and were sat down but they refused to make anymore & said we could only have wine or prosecco 🤦🏽‍♀️ left immediately and ruined the anniversary as we couldn’t get in anywhere else such last minute on bank holiday. ridiculous.

Awful service, supposed to be high end and classy but the drinks are all cheap and watered down. Staff clueless. It’s got to be a front for something bc I don’t know how it’s still going.

Very disappointed in our bottomless brunch on Saturday. After seeing numerous posts on Instagram about how brilliant this brunch was and that they only had 1 table left for the Saturday I thought great it must be good. They wanted full payment upfront which I found surprising, normally just a deposit. When we arrived it was only our group of 9 and then 3 more tables full, there were more tables empty than full. Drinks were fair but I felt they tried to afford us when we wanted more, whole point of bottomless is unlimited. For the food, well I was shocked!! The menu we received had many different options on with vegetarian options. What we received was totally different, no vegetarian option bar a bowl of salad which my friend ate just 3 bowls of salad. The food wasn’t hot at all and the amount we had between 9 people was appalling. The music was ok but for the saxophonist he looked like he didnt want to be there. We felt like this brunch was falsely advertised and to be made out to be something that it is not once the 90 minutes had ended we were literally shoved out the door. Very disappointed!

Booked a table on the rooftop, and even received a text to ask us to notify them when we arrived by text and they would let us know when the table was ready. When we arrived we were told it's a free for all and there was no table. We had to wait half an hour for people to leave and make our own table by putting chairs together. Pointless reservation system. Shame as it's a lovely spot with amazing views and nice staff.

Where do I start… quick to take your money but a very POOR experience. Turned up to say they wasn’t expecting our party of 20 however, was happy to take our deposit for that many people. After finding our own seats due to them being as useful as a chocolate fireguard, they was more bothered about collecting money then entertaining our needs for the brunch we paid for. Mid way of eating and asked to take payments, I stated to the manager have you ever been asked to pay during eating your meal she stated no I said well don’t treat your customers with such rudeness.The manager had zero managerial skills, and very poor communication throughout our stay. DO NOT book a special event here, they will not make it special!!!!!!!!

Went here for a hen do at the weekend, shocking service. Wasn’t expecting our booking as they had us down for the incorrect time. Was asked to do payment whilst eating , new saw a physical bill and was then charged an extra £62 at the end. Waitress was helpful and manager did not resolve the situation. Cocktails were just juice could not taste any alcohol. Rooftop was closed and wasn’t informed of this at booking! Would not recommend !

Went to breakfast with grinch, we were put in a shed freezeing wait over an hour for food which was awful, asked for our drinks twice never got them, an seen the grinch for about 2 mins, will never go there again a waste of money

AWFUL!!!! I have been trying to find a link to their page for complaints but their website doesnt have a page and Instagram and facebook being ignored as the event was absolutely awful, no entertainment apart from 5 minutes with the grinch whos costume was ripped and my 5 year old is now asking questions as to whether santa is real or not because 'they all just dress in costumes i could see a person through the holes' the meal was unedible and i had to sent my daughters meal back because pancakes were cold and the sauce over them was absolutely diabolical even staff said 'what is that sauce' there was no christmas movie as advertised, i asked 4 times for our drinks and we had no drinks in the time we was there, the chairs in the shed was unsafe and my daughter fell off it, my daughter cried the whole way home as she didnt like it and was hungry,cold and bored as she said. I have wasted so much money on this event that wad filled with disappointment from start to finish. I would not reccomend this place to anybody i travelled over an hour to come to this and left disappointed,

DO NOT BOOK HERE. We booked this place for my friends birthday. Booked in September to go on October 28th. We received a booking confirmation, reminder and they took £10 deposit each from us. When we arrived we couldn’t find where it was so we asked multiple people who told us the place had shut down. They had shut temporarily for refurbishment and failed to let us know. I have been unable to get through to them - I have tried phoning them over and over again, messaging them on instagram, everything!! They haven’t replied to anything so we have lost our money but not only that - it ruined my friend’s birthday. We couldn’t find anywhere else for bottomless brunch and we were wondering around for hours. We had picked this place specifically as somewhere special as we were traveling all the way from Leeds. How can they not let us know!? Even if they had cancelled on us the day before that would’ve been better than allowing us to turn up! We had rushed to get there on time and paid an uber to get there! Disgusting customer service and the fact I haven’t been able to get in touch since is appalling. We would like a refund!!!

Had an incredible experience at Liberte last night. Conner could not do more for us, he was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our group had a great night. Will be going again, the views of the city were great and the Christmas cabins are amazing.

dont deserve 1 star, had a reservation for 1st October they cancelled the booking, the sent they had given our booking to another venue. we declined and asked for our £40 deposit back which they said they would refund. They are now ignoring me, luckily enough we have all the emails confirming they would refund it. Got intouch with my credit card whk are now investigating it. terrible customer service dread to think what th food is like

DON'T BOOK AN EVENT HERE Forced to pay for tickets for an event here after we had originally booked bottomless brunch for a 30th and were told we couldn't visit the roof top bit due to the event which was starting at 2pm, by 5pm the event still hadn't and staff had no idea it was even on! told to get a refund through the third party skiddle and they won't as it's down to the event organiser Katie but surprisingly she is completely ignoring messages! The roof top is OK but I would just avoid in general, plenty of other decent places to visit in Liverpool

Stole £222 from us. We booked Liberte, ‘Liverpool’s no1 rooftop bar’ for my sisters 30th birthday on the august bank holiday weekend. We originally arranged bottomless brunch and initial communication with Katie was great. Once I realised that the small print said that the brunch would be indoors (despite the website advertising it on the rooftop), I asked about moving this outside as it was a very hot weekend. Also it was the whole reason we had booked the venue. I was told that the rooftop was closed to the public that day due to a house event taking place, and that the only option was to purchase tickets at £27.75 per person to gain entry, which I agreed to. On top of this, we pre paid for £350 worth of drinks to guarantee a table. Again, great communication with Katie up until this point. Upon arrival we were shocked to see that none of the staff knew anything about an event that day, and that they knew nothing about any tickets that might be required. We spoke to others on the rooftop who also knew nothing about this. We even spoke to a group of girls that had attended bottomless brunch and had moved to the rooftop, which is what we were told we couldn’t do. Most of the people on the roof that day were having drinks after a wedding- some of which over 60 who definitely hadn’t arrived for said house event. After complaining we did manage to get a free drink each and a couple of plates of picky food (worth nothing the loaded fries had us in stitches- chips with a slice of onion and a slice of pepper on the top). We decided to worry about the issue later and moved on on to enjoy our day in Liverpool, assuming that the error would be rectified and we would get our money back. Not so surprisingly, all of a sudden Katie’s communication became none existent. Emails have been sent and not replied to, phone calls have been made but seemingly no managers there. A request for our money back was made (through skiddle which is the platform we were told to buy tickets on) but the venue have declined on the basis that the event went ahead. We have videos with time stamps and photos that show this not to be the case but are left with no option to accept that the owners of this bar have no integrity and can only be labelled as thieves. I have since followed up with some messages on Instagram, giving them ample opportunity to respond and rectify before I tarnish their reputation by writing this review. I had a reply saying someone will come back to me a couple of weeks ago but obviously that hasn’t happened. Having came onto tripadvisor it’s clear that there is no pride taken in their reputation so all I can suggest is that anyone considering spending time here to take your money elsewhere. I hope that upon reading this, the relevant people will take some initiative and refund us the money that we are rightfully owed, but I won’t hold my breath.

Came here Saturday for cocktail making, disgusting service from the management (Monique) rude from the second we arrived supposed to make 4 cocktails and only managed 2 cocktails, 2pm - 4pm and we got kicked off our table at 3.30pn because another party was arriving, we raised our concerns and she said " I don't care you paid £500 they paid £750" we paid what was asked as it went by per person. On the plus side the bar staff was excellent and was ace making the cocktails. Arron and Jay Jay fantastic bar staff.

Music wayyyy too loud, disturbing

Don’t waste your time! Shocking service - waited 30 mins to get a drink, no table service despite paying a deposit to secure the table. Disorganised and chaotic - no one appeared to be in charge. Cocktail bar where the bar tenders didn’t “know how to make cocktails”. Awful atmosphere where most of the clientele were more interested in snapping a selfie for their Instagram than enjoying the company of their friends. No idea who voted this place the “best rooftop bar in the UK” as it most definitely isn’t. The best view we got from our table was one of the toilets.

Absolutely shocking service and didn’t even get one of the drinks we ordered let alone them getting the order wrong twice! Won’t be coming here again.

This is a great roof top bar and restaurant judging by the other reviews that have been written. Boasting ‘breath-taking’ views of Liverpool’s waterfront and a panoramic cityscape. It is recommended that you make a reservation. NOTE: There is another place on Google Maps called Liberté Roof Top Bar & Restaurant. This place must be a duplicate of that.

Lovely views, music a little overpowering

The food was okay could have been better however the service was very good and drinks were very nice special mention to tilly who brought the food she made us want to continue drinking there.

Brilliant staff thanks for making my Birthday extra special

1. They completely got the wrong orders even though they emailed the orders and confirmed. 2. They refused to serve 10 minutes before the end of bottomless brunch. 3. They tried to charge for 20 people, although 11 had been confirmed. 4. Unbelievable rude members of staff. (The manager is entirely unapproachable and has a lack of managerial skills, given the fact he's in that position)

Had the worst experience; NEVER EVER COMING BACK. The manager was awful to us. The food was bad, and the whole vibe in there was not good at all -They messed up our order even though I sent an email days before to confirm our order. The poor staff looked so stressed and confused. -The service was awful, had an argument with the manager who was being so rude to us. The worst service ever. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! There are so many other nice places in Liverpool where you have go and have a nice time.

Booked this venue for my 30th birthday yesterday and it was one of the best nights of my life. The rooftop views were beautiful and the staff were all so friendly and helpful! I will definitely be coming back, thank you so much to Katie and all the staff for all your help.

Absolutely shocking service. Booked for my Fiancée 30th and we were given the worst table at the fire exit next to the toilets. I specifcally asked for it be extra special and was compeltely let down. Would never come here again, staff couldn't care less.
