Libby’s Coffee Shop in East Hertfordshire

We were so excited to find Libby's the day it opened. However last week we bought 3 croissants and 3 carrot cakes plus a few other goodies and were mortified when we got home and cut open one of the cakes to find a piece of plastic inside the cake. We wrote to Libbys to let them know with photographs and five days later when the owner rang me, he was very abusive, accusing us of planting the plastic and using abusive language. Quite a staggering and most disappointing response. At a minimmum it would have been polite to get an apology. We're not looking to get free product, just some quality control in the production process. Sadly now we won't return. With such a bad customer service attitude and clearly a very unhappy team, i don't believe this business will survive.

Can't speak highly enough of the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful food. Had a lovely time. Very reasonable prices was a bonus.

Popped in here for coffees and croissants before we went on a walk. Very large tasty croissants and really good coffees. lovely ladies behind the counter ! We will be back!

Had a lovely afternoon cream tea for 4. sandwiches, cakes and scones all delicious and plentiful. A very friendly and spotlessly clean place. Will definitely go back

I can’t recommend this place enough. It is family run and they are such lovely people and really good customer service. The food was really good and made fresh, the cakes are to absolutely to die for, worth breaking the diet!

Had a flat white and it was shocking. Wrong temperature no body or texture and frankly rated like hot milk. Sorry but it was rubbish

Great coffee/sandwich/cake from Libby's. Working as a take away at the moment because of Covid, I had 2 lovely coffees and a delicious piece of Bakewell to go. Coffee was hot and strong, and the home made cake was wonderful. Very friendly staff. Can't wait to try the eat in when things return to normal. Thoroughly recommended.

The welcome into this bright and spotlessly clean coffee shop was just what you would expect. It was warm, friendly and efficient. The salad was interesting and very fresh and excellent value. The bread pudding was above average but I prefer it to have more spice and fruit in it. The coffee was hot and delicious. Overall I was impressed with the speed and slickness of the service and we will visit again.
