Excellent Fish and Chip shop . Owner and her. Staff are lovely. Crispy batter on the fish which is Cooked to order. I think the last review was for the previous owners. Take reviews with a pinch of salt !!!!!!!

Been here twice since the new owners. The fish and chips was excellent. Flaky and tasty fish, chips spot on also. Highly recommend.

This is a dreadful fish and chip shop. We went there 18 months ago and the food then was undercooked and tasteless. However, we decided to give it another go but sadly we lived to regret it. We had fish and chips. The fish was undercooked and the batter was not crispy as it should be. The chips were also undercooked. I don't understand how a fish and chip shop cannot cook fresh fish with a crispy batter and nice crispy chips. It makes you wonder if the oil is changed regularly. If you want fish and chips avoid this place as you will like me be disappointed.

Food was ok tried to make conversation very rude girl made me feel uncomfortable stood waiting there was a sign up saying manners cost nothing lol what a joke . If the staff was more welcoming and friendly I’d go back but sorry will never go back and wouldn’t recommend very rude considering your a paying customer

Chips tasted greasy as though the fat wasn’t hot enough and the fish was that thin it was more like a fish finger. Will not be going again. Waste of £8.20

This is not the closest chippy to where I live, I drive past 5 of them to get to this one. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to food (as you can see from my previous takeaway reviews!). Generous portion sizes Chips are not tasteless and don't have a consistency of 'cardboard' Friendly staff Clean And, as an added bonus... you can get a Steak pudding with no Kidney in it!... The Greek food has stopped being served here, but its still, hands down, the best chippy I've been to...

The food is really nice and they have great service the staff are lovely. Although I wanted to go today and they said they are open until 8:45 on their website and I went today and it said they were closed and said they closed at 7:30 so just letting you know that you might want to change that

Shocking. Dried up chips that have been sat for at least 2 hours they were stone cold and this was direct in the shop. Awful. Embarrassing to serve this to customers.

Awful, not all food sent- gravy is salty, food just chucked together with no thought. Will not be ordering from here again 🤮

I came in and asked the lovely staff for a recommendation as I fancied something different. They suggested I try the Chicken Skepasti and I have to say it was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted! The chicken just melted in my mouth and combined with the salad, cheese and sauce it had a vast array of wonderful flavours. I urge anyone reading this to try it. Highly recommended. 10/10 👌

Fancied a takeaway but wanted something a bit different. I ordered Moussaka with side order of chips (wouldn’t usually eat chips with Moussaka but it’s a takeaway so what the heck!). I’ve been to Greece a number of times and eaten in many Greek restaurants there and here in England so thought my takeaway wouldn’t match up. How wrong I was. This is the best Moussaka I’ve ever eaten. Big portion served in a terracotta dish - a step up from the usual polystyrene container. The chips were great chippy chips. I will defo be ordering again.

Some of the bad reviews on here are either years old or due to delivery times during lockdown. I can only review based upon my own experience and must say the food is always good, hot and cooked perfectly. I regularly go here and have tried virtually everything. No complaints here. Lovely food and lovely people.

I've been there three times recently, fish and chips are perfect, and I'm really fussy cant have any marks on my chips , only two inside at one time, so as soon as you put your order in you wait outside till your called, makes you feel very safe , thank you

Ordered off Uber eats. Expected delivery time was 30 mins. We waited 90 mins!!! To receive our order. When we called to chase up at 60 mins the unapologetic and argumentative member of staff informed us it was on its way. We chased up again another 30 mins later and she said it is on its way this time it left 5 mins ago. So lied first time. One item apparently needed an hour to cook (in a fast food place, go figure) but on receiving food we could tell everything else was also sat on the side for that hour kept warm.

I have ordered many times over the past several months. The food was good to start off with, however the last few times I've ordered, the quality has been quite appalling. Very late arrival, very greasy food and overpriced for what it is. And tonight was the final straw. There had been a coca cola ordered and usually I have absolutely no problem drinking coke, but I started drinking and suddenly had a really bad stomach. The coca cola smelt really strange, as did the can. I had poured the content into a glass and after only a couple of sips, had to throw it away. The can smells like corrosive metal. I will never be ordering from this take away again!

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered the greak meat feast. Not much of a feast and very disappointing. Clearly it had all been microwaved and still didn't arrive hot. Called to complain about the food and all they could say was we can give you more chips, then kept hanging up on me

Ok, so in the name of fairness I will adjust the star rating accordingly, but it's already not a good start - I ordered through Uber Eats on the premise of 25-45mins delivery time. After an hour I spoke to the restaurant and she said it was in the kitchen now and would be 'approximately' 20mins, and sorry they were doing the best they can. 45mins after this conversation and STILL no food, and I can no longer get through to restaurant. I'm sorry but 'doing the best you can' is all and well, but don't take Uber Eats/Just Eat orders if you can't handle the volume, or keep to the delivery schedules. And so, after waiting for almost 2hrs for this food, I am really sad to say that the food was way below par and expectation. I have visited Greece many times and absolutely in love with their food. And I won't hear the argument that I'm not in Greece. In the last year alone I have visited establishments in London, Birmingham and locally that have really tasty, authentic food. It was greasy, bland, unseasoned, and don't even mention the quality of the chicken. The only positive thing I can say, is that it was fairly hot, which was the only thing I wasn't expecting.You should be ashamed to even advertise this as Greek, or yet even serve this slop to humans at all! My dog didn't even get a look at it, I worried she'd be ill afterwards.Terrible experience. In this current climate, businesses will be fighting to stay afloat. I wouldn't wish any business to go under, but you guys don't deserve all your praise, you must have some unfussy regulars.

Just ordered a large fish with large chips with small peas...the peas were nice and so were the chips(rather a small portion) . the fish was tasty but quite disappointed it was so small. maybe I was given a small fish by mistake....im not sure

We have ordered quite a few times from this place whilst working under lockdown and I can honestly say they have been brilliant! The food is amazing (especially the village sausage!!) and arrived quickly, even with the massive food orders we have placed over the last few weeks. Would definitely recommend!!

The food here is delicious, and between us we've tasted a wide range of it. The gyros in particular are great. Generous portions for the price too. Excellent service and we will order from here many more times. We have never experienced any delivery issues like others have mentioned.

During lockdown my colleagues and I have been ordering from here at least once a week and it has been a godsend. We have not had any issues with the food or delivery (which is usually a large order and to a business address). We tend to order the greek food, including the desserts and it never disappoints.

We placed our order 2 hours ago the food should have arrived at 18.20 we’ve been waiting 30 minutes longer. We have tried calling but they are just putting the phone down on us

Wow! Just popped in after seeing recommendations on Google. Food was freshly prepared and delicious. So friendly and cheerful, gave us such a lovely welcome that we won't hesitate to go back... Especially as the food was very reasonably priced considering its quality.

I popped in here for some chips. They have some items to keep the children entertained. I found the chips very greasy, and not very tasty.

Best chippy in Leyland. Proper tasting fish with lovely clean crunchy batter. Go most weeks as does my family who live near.

Nice chips but only serve 'fish' not cod, haddock or any named fish. I gave it a go as it was getting late and I was hungry. Should have had a pie or kebab! Most likely Panga as it is a white fish with a distinctive taste.

Had chips and curry whilst wasting some time waiting for car repairs. Chips were excellent and curry sauce also very good.

Visited the other day as normal chippy was closed, it has changed hands since we last used it’s now a Greek owned chippy,. Had fish and chips, the chips actually looked like they were re heated, the fish didn’t look too appetising and broke in two when being put onto tray. Having said all that they actually didn’t taste too bad, quite enjoyed them. Maybe they should take more care when cooking and serving, it could make a big difference. Probably wouldn’t rush back, but would use again if my normal chippy was shut.

Cannot rate the food here more highly. I have just had the pleasure of enjoying the Spinach and Feta pie, (you have to try this). Not something I would normally go for , but I will try anything once. Absolutely delicious, and filling, Price and Qualty excellent.

Excellent food by a lovely Cypriot family. Establishment takes both cash and card. Can get quite busy - a testament to the food.

Love this place. Had a gyros here once...it changed my life but if you prefer fish and chips they've nailed the classic chip shop staples as well.

Went to this chip shop on the way home from a long drive. It was more of a convenience stop, but I am so glad we went!! The owners were so pleasant and welcoming, and took their time to help me choose from the menu. Whilst waiting we were given a little snack and it was delicious. Got home to eat the recommended gyros kebab, and it did not dissapoint! It was delicious! Many thanks Maria, not just for the delicious food, but for the very warm welcome and lovely chat. We will definitely be returning.

poor quality fish chips of all shapes and sizes looks like his chipper blade is brokensoggy under cooked fish was fresh but that was ages ago pie left over from lunch time and dry as a bone should have been thrown away and not served ad a health risk

My 11 year old son has just been in for me and ordered a jumbo sausage a small sausage and a small gravy he was charged £2.70. When he came home was only a jumbo sausage in the bag! He walked straight back round as I wasn’t impressed, but the shop had closed. - so a very expensive jumbo sausage! This is the second time orders have been wrong. Last time they missed off a jumbo sausage and a gravy, but we let it go as there was enough food for everyone and wasn’t worth calling back in. Be warned check your order before you leave the store!!
